“I ate at Punjabi Kabab House with the family. My daughter in law is Indian and knew what to order. We started with mixed kabob platter and it's was delicious! Be sure not miss the onions on the bottom of the cast iron skillet. Other great traditional dishes we enjoyed were chicken makhani, saag paneer, chhole, and Kashmiri lamb! Service was cute and be patient because everything is made fresh.“

“When you walk into the place, you can smell the aroma and you’ll immediately realize why this place is rated so highly. We got the goat dum biriyani, and it might be the best biriyani we’ve ever had, as it was truly authentic (they cut it open in front of you) and was jam-packed with flavor. A lot of biriyanis go light on the rice flavors; this one definitely didn’t - we felt ourselves devouring the biriyani INCREDIBLY fast. Our waiter kept checking in on us, and we had fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly service. We also got the chicken vindaloo, and it was very good and spicy, which we enjoyed. We were there near closing, and we didn’t feel rushed at all, and it was heartwarming to see the chefs and staff all sit and eat together after the kitchen had closed, joking and having fun. 10/10 would recommend - this is a hole in the wall joint worth repeat visits - you can feel a sense of kinship the second you enter!“

“Baingan bartha & Dal tadka are 10/10. The baingan bartha is easily their top dish, super rich, with the right amount of sour + sweet + spice. The dal tadka is so wholesome, a little high on garlic. I would recommend the “desi spice” level as the flavors can be a bit mellow otherwise. The paneer was okay - not the softest and the flavors are pretty typical. 20% tip is mandatory and included.“

Also, the Tandoori Salmon is a must have because it was seasoned, smoked and cooked to perfection!! Beba was our server and she was so patient and kind with a group who couldn't make up their minds! And lastly, please check out the bartender (I think his name was Sean, but I could be way off :/...I blame the a-a-alcohol..) I usually get Indian food in Astoria along 30th Ave. None compare to Cardamom. They are not huge and doesn’t seat many, but it is clean, well decorated and the staff is friendly and attentive.I had the lamb methi curry, vegetable samosa, naan and mango lassi. All were perfectly delicious and beautifully presented. If I were to have one complaint it would be that the methi curry could’ve been spicier since I ordered at the highest spice level and found it to be just mild. The prices were excellent and the portions were great. I ordered Chicken Korma with Basmati rice, regular Naan bread and a Mango Lassi. The chicken was very tender, the sauce was creamy, delicious and not spicy. The Naan was good. I loved the Lassi. I had leftovers. I will definitely be returning. We tried a bunch of dishes including beef momos, chicken momos with johl on the side, lollipop chicken, 2 orders of garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, the Nepalese goat curry dish, and beef chow mein. We came here for the momos and we're honestly a bit disappointed. They weren't as juicy as some of the Momo trucks we tried. No white or hot sauce to drizzle either. We never had johl before (+$2 charge which we weren't aware of). The johl is served cold which surprised us. We really liked the chicken lollipop, garlic naan, and beef noodles. Everything was served super hot. Solid spot if you're looking to try Nepalese food for the first time but it is lacking a bit in flavor...“

“I had a couple slices of pepperoni pizza last month here with low expectations and was impressed. Best pizza in NYC? No but up there with the best $3 slices in NYC. The bagels are handmade here and lovely as well. But on to the star of the show: the Indian food is great. Chicken Chaat was really spicy in a nice way, a medley of great flavor with some heat. Samosas were fresh and crunchy on the outside. Lamb biryani was delightful, not too herbaceous but well balanced and nice meat chunks.I'll be back soon to try the Indian fusion pizza! Can't wait.Update: the Indian pizza is the best. Why is this not a thing yet? It will be soon. The crust could be better but the flavors on all their pizzas are phenomenal. The chefs here are creative and care about the quality they put out.I just tried their bagels again and maybe I got a fresh batch but they are so much better than I remember. Soft and chewy with perfect flavor. Not very dense but I think that's a plus. Omar's is one of my favorite places in Brooklyn. They deliver quickly and everything is great. We've ordered a dozen times from Omar's and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish is probably lamb korma. I hope they will offer a lamb korma pizza one day. I luv Omar's!“

“The food was excellent with really good flavors and at a super reasonable price point. For apps, we got the veggie samosas, which were excellent. We got the chicken tikka masala and the truffle korma with chicken for mains with a side of garlic naan and paratha.the garlic naan was INSANE- so light, crispy, and fluffy at the same time. i literally could have eaten two orders. out of the two chickens we got- definitely recommend the chicken tikka masala. It definitely a small spot, with limited space. You also get served with paper plates and take out containers, which we didn’t mind, but just a heads-up.I definitely recommend for take out and will be back!“

“For the late night hours, convenience of location, swiftness of preparation, affordability and, finally, for the food itself. For all of these reasons it’s a definite five stars for me.I’ve tried the palak paneer Frankie (spinach + paneer cheese), the masala unda Frankie (the most basic one with omelette and spices), the baigan bartha Frankie (fire roasted eggplant) and the mango lassi so far. What I appreciate about all the Frankies (& a feature they all share) is how fresh and vegetable-heavy and healthy-feeling they all are. —Not very common for quick, late night street food snacks. Decently filling as well. The masala unda one has a lovely crisp, fresh, “herby”, minty seasoning - it’s very nice. Mango lassi was delicious too.To me you’re getting good value for money here.“

“This is our favorite neighborhood Indian restaurant and it never disappoints. I really enjoy the takeout & eating in when I can. The staff are so pleasant & helpful. The food is what shines - so flavorful & delicious.I'm giving the atmosphere 4 stars because it's nothing to write home about but it's cozy, simple & the staff make it feel warm. Highly recommend you stop in if you live in the area or are visiting - you won't be disappointed.Dietary restrictions: They're knowledgeable & were able to accommodate my gluten (wheat) & dairy (milk) allergy.“

“Great sweets. Everything was really fresh. We picked up some sweets for family and everyone loved how fresh it was. I want to go back and try other sweets and maybe some samosas and other menu items. They also let us try things too. Only issue we had was we went late and they ran out of some stuff but that’s expected late in the day I guess“

“Honestly one of the best Momos I ever had.Got Goat Momo Jhola (soup) and Buffalo momo. Amazing! Must try .However, the Roti was cold and stale , lost1 star because of that. Hopefully ongoing you correct this as it would have been 5/5.Also loved the fact the owner Yamuna was in music videos that were playing in her restaurant, very amusing!“

“Fortune to find this beautiful restaurant while touring Jefferson Street. We loved the food and hospitality. We had outstanding biryani (trust me you will not get the same taste in USA), chicken Tikka masala, naan and delicious kheer. Everything was worth it. Wish I can come soon. Last but not the least thanks to the pretty girl who accommodate our urgency.“

“A solid Tibetan restaurant in Jackson heights! I can see why the won the momo walk twice! Food: I loved the spicy chicken momos - honestly the best thing we ordered! The Singaporean noodles with chicken was also delicious and very flavorful - full of veggies! The vegetable noodles were also solid! The paneer chili was well made but the paneer itself lacked flavor! the Himalayan Thalia offered a few different things including a fondue - esque dip, fried dough, and potato, bean soup! I was not a fan and won't order this again. The veggie dumplings with potato, cheese and spinach wasn't my favorite - it was a bit sweet, which I found odd Service: great service! The space is small but packed and our waitress was lovely! Ambience: small but ample seating with outdoor and indoor seating! Nothing special! Price: for the portion sizes - great price“
