“Ordered fried wings and pork fried rice. Wings are average size. Was kinda over fried but not too much. Pork fried rice is balanced with onion, pork meat, salt and not greasy. Also ordered French fries and fried baby shrimps. They came out over fried but are ok. Fries more on a greasy side a bit soggy. It was really quick, fast service. This is typical NYC style Chinese in the hood.”

“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!”

“We came here on a Sunday early afternoon and had one of our best recent dining experience. We live close by so we went in hoping it would be a gem and it absolutely didnt dissappoint. The garlic naan might just be the best we’ve ever had. The mussels were very fresh and not sure if it’s the season but the flesh was super fat. The sauce it was cooked in was also very very good. Dipping the naan in that sauce was straight heaven. We also ordered the rotisserie chicken, which we thought was a bit pricey at first but man, it was cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy skin, JUICY all throughout, with grilled lemons and a decent sauce. The service was also phenomenal. Our server had great energy, and provided us the perfect balance of attentiveness and space.
The vibe of this place is also top notch. The modest exterior is only hiding the spaceous, modern, and elegant interior.
Overall, we could not be more thrilled about this find and will definitely be coming back to try their drinks and sea bass dish! Highly recommended for an absolute treat.”

“Grateful for a decent Chinese restaurant that is clean and elegantly decorated. Tofu and chicken dish were very good. The beef stew was more of a beef soup and on the oilier side so wasn’t our favourite. Dumplings were pretty good. Would definitely return and recommend.”

“My friends and I had a lovely afternoon at The Rockaway Hotel Pool house. We were greeted by a warm and friendly hostess, Isabella, who made us feel so welcomed. Our beautiful table was in the perfect spot to take in all of what the Rockaway Hotel has to offer. The outside bar and Pool house are exquisite. The pool was bustling with excitement. Our waiter, Andrew, was polite and helpful . I highly recommend coming to The Rockaway Hotel because their staff is highly professional and attentive.”

“Went inside on a whim and so glad we did. The handrolls were incredible. The fish was great quality and creativity was next level. Our favorites were the xo scallop (must get), tuna poke, salmon serrano, aka ebi, toro scallion, and spicy lobster. Not as big of a fan of cooked/fried fish in sushi, but tried the coconut shrimp and spicy crab dynamite due to the many recommendations, and thought they were just okay. Also didn’t think the caviar starter was anything special.”
