“You know it’s good when there’s usually a line up even before closing time.Pros: Tasty stews (can run out pretty fast especially Gamjatang), huge portion, reasonable price (not cutting throat like downtown Korean food) and hardworking cashier lady 5 is solidly for the food.Cons: A bit of waiting time since there’s only 1 cook. Be patient when you choose to eat here during rush hour. Small size homemade kimchi on the side as well - everyone gets a small plate only. Ok for me.Overall I enjoy the food and the self serve aspect of Samgol and the other vendors in World on Yonge’s food court. Would stop by again !“
“I went to Cynthia's for dinners with my customers a couple of times in the last few months. This restaurant is a combination of delicious food and high-level service with many waiters traditionally dressed up. Peking duck is very good. Many other dishes are great as well. The prices are reasonable here. This restaurant has been in this location for decades, and its interior is somewhat aged. However, it does not influence my recommendation to visit it.“
“1. Food - good! Came out hot. Green curry chicken, cashew chicken, beef pad see ew were all tasty. We asked for curry dish to be very spicy and I think that was a mistake as it took away from the flavor. One criticism was that the curry was too runny. Maybe we could have asked for it to be made thicker. We prefer that. But food was good. 2. Service - we reserved our table for dinner and the server sat us at the wrong table so she apologetically asked us to move. When we asked for water we had to ask more than once. It was busy at the time but with the spicy food it would have been nice to get it fast. We ordered three dishes. Two came very quickly. We finished them and the third hadn't arrived yet. We had to ask a server for its whereabouts and then he brought it. It was very hot so maybe it just took longer to prepare but I actually think they forgot about it. The service was a 3/5 but the food was good so it balances out. 3. Ambiance - nice interior. Wood panelling. Booths. Very cozy.“
“Fantastic food and service, and excellent value. The chef's counter dining experience was a generous 12 course meal, and the chef added a few more on top of that. It is one of best tasting menus I've ever had. Filipino fusion cuisine was very well executed. This may be my new favourite restaurant in Toronto.“
“Excellent Chinese restaurant, great atmosphere and delicious food, especially Lanzhou beef noodles. My girlfriend and I often lunch her, and because of the pandemic, we are now ordering delivery. Very fast, tasty and not expensive. ps. You should definitely try fried noodles, chunks of lamb, and barbecue skewers.“
“Service was great, people were really nice. This was only my third time having hand pulled noodles in this style. Maybe I have to try this place again but thought it was okay. Sides were amazing though. I could swim in their chili oil it was so good.“
“Here's the pro move - they have the best stir fried noodle dish in the city - Bokkeum Jjampoong - gotta order extra noodles if sharing. We also ordered their Black-bean-sauce rice which comes with a deep fried omelette and a side bowl of their delicious Jjamppong soup.“
“Pho was so good! Must try order house pho with a side of spring rolls. Service was on point even during busy dinner hour rush. Honey garlic wings with a side of sticky rice was so yummy it was gone before I could snap a picture of it. So many other things to try. Highly recommend.“
“Great al dente noodles, fresh, hand pulled in the store. Very attentive service. I liked the little bonuses - a basket to hold your jacket and bags; a bib to avoid splashing my clothes. About 8 tables. Clean washrooms. GreenP street parking.“
“Usually skeptical about highly rated pho places after a bad experience at a famous joint that opened in Etobicoke...you can probably figure that one out. When I saw sweetness in the soup I was thinking I probably won't like it.The other reviews aren't wrong there is a sweetness to the soup. But it works and it's actually very delicious and not overwhelming like the other places.Definitely recommended will try sate and bone marrow next time.“
“Update:The beef brisket + wonton is awesome flavours and beef is moist not tough.Came to try this place out after many reviews and got the traditional shrimp wonton noodle. The wontons are very delicious as well as broth, the noodles on the other hand didn't have much taste. I think next time I will try the beef brisket and shrimp wonton.“
“The best Thai restaurant that I've ever been to. The food is delicious and presented well. Our waiter was super friendly and checked in on us regularly. The place has a modern decor, and the lights in the middle can even become a show. Just make sure you come early or make reservations because it fills up quick.“
“It has been years that I’ve been wanting to come here and finally an opportunity presented itself and I jumped on it. We tried to make a reservation same day, but the available time slots did not agree with our schedule. We rolled the dice and went anyway and were able to get a spot at the counter. The restaurant tables were all occupied, but there were always a few spots open at the counter with a constant flow of patrons. We ordered the oden as an appetizer to share and an udon each. The oden was flavourful, especially the turnip. The udon noodles had the perfect spring to them. The broths were very tasty and matched the toppings nicely.“
“A lot of mediocre sushi restaurants where we order sushi party trays have California rolls in 5 different ways which is so frustrating when it comes to trying to get the whole sushi taste experience. However sushi LoLo on the other hand has so many varieties of sushi when you order their patty tray. It makes me so happy that they give so much thought to putting their menu and how tasty their sushis are and for an affordable price. I always pick sushi LoLo!!!“
“This restaurant is hands-down my comfort restaurant. Everything in here is immaculate and scrumptiously delicious, and the menu items are all affordable, not over-priced (like most things are these days), but yet they are not cheap enough for you to doubt their legitimacy. The shop is cozy and clean, with wonderful decorations all over the shop. The staff are also welcoming and friendly, thus all in all, this place is a 10/10!“
“I’ve gotten takeout 3 times off Uber for dinner and I am someone who enjoys getting takeout.Service:I’m always genuinely surprised by the level of service provided even for takeout. The food seems to be prepared as the orders come because even when ordering a bit ahead of time, I usually arrive just as they are packaging everything and it takes about 5 minutes to get my food. Once I get my takeout, they open their door for me if my hands are occupied EVERY SINGLE TIME.I can’t speak to dine-in service as I’ve never dined in but I wouldn’t hesitate. They come off as very caring and kind people.Food:As hinted above, it seems to be prepped to order because even after I drive home, I’ll usually eat the food after about 30 mins due to other priorities and it is still hot/warm. If you like spicy, medium or extra spicy is really good. I always order the beef noodle soup and it just has incredible flavours especially paired with their spice.Highly recommend for noodle lovers and spice lovers.“
“My favourite Thai restaurant in Toronto, food is always fresh and flavourful! Every menu item is delicious (yes I have tried them all) but I especially recommended the Bolan Pad Thai and Panang Curry Beef.Great cozy place for a date or dinner with family.“
“Seemed to be a family style restaurant. Tried the braised beef noodle which the noodles are supposed to be hand made but not as chewy as I like. Braised beef slices were made from boneless shank meat and quite tender. Bowl is quite big and portions decent for its price. We got the leek, shrimp and pork dumplings and chose pan fried instead of steamed or boiled. The dumplings wraps were more chewy and pan fried nicely.“
“I went to Poong Moon with my elderly Korean parents recently. Initially I wasn’t sure whether we made a right choice given how it looked more like a pub/bar instead of a Korean-Chinese restaurant. But don’t look that fool you. The food was outstanding. My parents and I enjoyed it very much. The service was also great as well even though they were really busy. It’s too bad that we live in Montreal otherwise we would be here a lot more often.“
“Appreciate reply from owner. Looks like some not-so-smart people who don't know what they are doing said Halal in reviews so I thought maybe owner told them it is.Please note this is NOT a Halal food establishment.(Although one day would love to try Halal version of these dishes!)*Original Review*Halal??? Literally serves pork. Owners reply then I delete this review.“
“Next to our school in Oxford, I come here to eat every day. My favorites are tomato rice noodles, stir-fried yellow beef and wolf-toothed potatoes. The tomato soup is very rich and the beef is very tender. I really want to eat the wolf-toothed potatoes once.“
“We stopped here for a warm meal after a day of skiing because it was the only thing we could find on Google that was open late enough and wow - what a pleasant surprise. We had the classic beef with thin round noodle and the Dan Dan with flat wide noodles. Both were absolutely delicious but the flat wide noodles were especially good - we didn’t realize when ordering that they were hand pulled. The bill came to around $30 for two of us with very generous portions. Also, we sat at a table near the boss who greeted us very warmly and told us all about what the restaurant is best known for. We don’t live in the area unfortunately but this would be worth a drive. Thank you for a lovely and cozy meal“
“Really good HK noodle restaurant that seems authentic and uses fresh ingredients. Portion sizes are large and prices are reasonable, with a good menu selection. They also offer frozen dim sum and fried fish skins for sale. The restaurant a bit small, so expect to wait during busy times. The waitresses speak Cantonese. They only take cash or debit. I will return to try more of the menu.“
“Huge menu. Good pho. I also enjoy their rice paper rolls. The service is amazing especially the front. The guy is always super friendly and makes you smile. It can get really busy weekday lunches due to the nearby high school. Paying cash is “
“Omni Noodle at Fairview Mall is a gem for noodle lovers. Their Chinese ramen noodles are delicious, and they offer authentic Halal options. I love that you can choose the thickness of your noodles. The Braised Beef with mid-round noodles is a must-try, but their dumplings, spring noodles, and stir fry are also fantastic. The atmosphere is welcoming, and everyone in our group left highly satisfied. Highly recommend stopping by for a tasty meal!“
“Fresh Sushi at a great price. I'm surprised that this is not a busy place. They only have a limited choice of sushi sets and they are made fresh. They have a new item of hamburger with shrimp and cuttle fish pattie. The price is $5.99 and they have great taste and they even toasted the buns.“
“This restaurant is truly unforgettable and absolutely delicious. The staff members are incredibly kind and attentive, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Their warmth and thoughtfulness truly enhance the overall atmosphere. From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a welcoming smile and genuine hospitality. The servers go above and beyond to ensure that every need is met and that guests feel comfortable throughout their meal. Each dish is prepared with care and precision, resulting in flavors that are nothing short of remarkable. Whether you're indulging in classic favorites or trying something new, every bite is a culinary delight. Overall, this restaurant has left a lasting impression on me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with exceptional service.“
“First time here and absolutely blown away! Tried their 生煎包, 夫妻肺片, and 牛尾拉麵 – all incredibly delicious. You can set your highest expectations, and they will not disappoint. Thanks to Wendy and Cita for the recommendation!“
“This place is like a 3.5/5 stars.Located in the plaza where Day & Night Angus Steakhouse used to be, the resto is moderately sized. The plaza it sits in has quite a lot of parking so that shouldn't be an issue. My gf and I arrived on a thurs night w/ no reservation at around 7:10pm and were seated within 10 min on the patio (which is massive btw).We ordered only 2 items as we expected huge portions (having eaten at BKK Thai a month ago).Beef pad thai: Good flavour, nice tang. Not in the same league as the pad thai at Chiang Rai. Some of the noodles were slightly overcooked imo. But the authenticity was there.Chicken khao soi: The 'mild' spice lvl was actually tolerable for my gf for once LOL. The chicken was moist and cooked so well. The broth was layered out the wazoo.I was expecting quality commensurate w/ Pai downtown. After all, the owners of Pai were the ones who opened this place! I've gotta say, it doesn't quite meet the same bar that Pai has set.Maybe it's the inflated pricing and the smaller than normal portions? This place is good in terms of authenticity but quite honestly, it doesn't stack up to BKK Thai, Isaan Der, Chiang Rai or dare I say, even JATUJAK in terms of value. I will say the khao soi broth did have the same flavour as the one at Pai though, so that's a huge plus. And they also had some really interesting cocktails that looked tempting.“
“Love the rice noodle here! One of the best and with unlimited refills is a plus! Soup tastes delicious and the food is priced really well! The rice dishes and popcorn chicken is also delicious considering it’s a noodle place! Definitely one of the best budget eats in Scarborough when looking for a quick filling bite!“
“incredible food and super fast service :-)ordered the three toppings with oil noodles (fish skin + teochow squid slices + brisket) with chili oil and signature sauce. pleasantly surprised with all toppings! brisket is tricky sometimes when it's too tough but this place makes it soft + tender. would've loved the fish skin to be served on the side instead to maintain the crisp but a minor suggestion as they were perfectly seasoned + crispy.we also ordered the curry fish balls + brisket + pig intestine. the curry sauce is yummy & the marinating sauce for the intestine hits the spot if you're craving for something with a stronger taste. would love to visit & try the deep fried intestine next!well portioned for $12!“
“【Eating in Toronto】If you want to eat authentic Guilin rice noodles, you must visit Yixiaoguan in Green Building, North York, address: 11 Bogert Ave, North York, ON M2N 0H3.First of all, the brine must be authentic, and more than 20 kinds of spices are indispensable. Secondly, the pot cooking must be authentic, and the process must be meticulous. The boss and the proprietress are very nice, and will tell you how to eat each snack, making a snack bar full of fun of food culture.Hot and sour fried rice noodles is also one of the specialties here. Have you ever eaten hot and sour fried rice noodles without vinegar? It turned out to be the sour taste of sour bamboo shoots, delicious and delicious, oily but not greasy. The deliciousness is not a little bit, and the Wuhan hot and dry noodles in Yixiaoguan are also delicious. Even I, a Wuhan native, have to give a thumbs up to Yixiaoguan.“
“My family and I used to go here all the time, they have new owners now but they’ve kept the delicious flavours and authenticity alive. The Banh Cuon Dac Biet with the fried shrimp cupcake is so good, made so fresh. The Bun Mang Viet (bamboo and duck soup) is incredible. The sauce it comes with to dip the duck is full of flavour. One of my fave viet spots in Toronto.“
“Oh my God, this restaurant was one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to ? My boyfriend and I literally had a feast there, ordering many things cause the prices were amazingly good, and everything was absolutely amazing ? We had such a good time; the vibe and atmosphere were amazing. All the staff were very, very friendly, and we highly recommend this place. I really liked the skewers, stir-fried noodles, and the fish balls. They were so yummy ? We really loved it. Also, you can check out my Instagram page for more restaurants, cafés, and places in Toronto. I post many contents and ideas there ? @melinmorad“
“Small place located in commercial building but there are signs located outside @ parking lot about the restaurant. We had beef noodles, pork stir fried with black fungus, dumplings, pop chicken & sesame noodles. Portions are pretty decent, tasty & reasonably priced. One lady served at this restaurant but she's attentive. We will definitely return to this restaurant again to try other dishes.“
“Conducted the tasting while matching blended drinks. We've created a lot of tasting menus in the past. New York and Toronto, mostly. We've never tasted wine like this before, and it's definitely the finest value tasting we've ever done. Had a fantastic experience.“
“Hadn't had Pho in a LONG time. This place hits it outta the park. Wonderful friendly staff, greeted with a Warm welcome. Promptly seated. Order taken within minutes. Piping hot green jasmine tea. The Pho and fresh toppings are amazing. Look forward to the next pho top up.“
“A wonderful noodle place showcasing food from a lesser known area of China. The choice of noodles mix between chewy to udon like and are unlike what you’d get elsewhere. The chili chicken and beef dishes are all excellent as is the potatoes use dishes. If you’re not used to spicy food, do be a bit careful and ask for mild.“
“The black garlic, shio and chicken ramen were all amazing. The chicken and pork were perfectly cooked and still tender. The ramen noodles were a great bouncy texture, not soft. The onsen egg was also perfectly cooked. The staff are dedicated and pleasant. The prices are average, $15/$16/$17, typical for ramen places. The portion is also average. 10% off with cash! Can’t wait to come back and try other ramen bowls.“
“A nice restaurant with authentic cuisine, each dish is beautifully presented. The atmosphere is also very elegant. We were not able to finish our meal so that we meant to take out, and all staff were friendly to give us some packing boxes, next time I would like to visit this restaurant again.“
“Water sashimi!!!!!!!! This is the only raw fish dish you can taste in Toronto. Please don't get rid of the raw fish menu and keep selling it. When I was pregnant, the thing I wanted to eat the most was raw fish, but I couldn't eat it, so it remained in my heart. It's so nice to be able to eat raw fish that tastes as similar to Korean as possible. It was worth driving for an hour. They said it's for one person, but it's so big that even two people would be full. I think I'll go there often whenever I think of it.“
“The milk tea is average, the frozen mandarin duck is better, the noodles are ok, and the Thai-style Hainanese chicken rice - the chicken tastes good and a little slippery, but the chicken rice is loose. The special price of noodles or rice snacks and hot and cold drinks is $15 + tax, which is reasonable. The food is served quickly, close to Hong Kong style speed.“
“This is the best pocca I have ever had in GTA. It tastes like I'm at a Korean pocca or food vendor. It's a small building with a small seating area. I ordered online for pickup and it was ready on time. It kept its heat for the 25 minute ride home with no need to reheat. Will absolutely be coming back again and again.“
“Haven’t sat down but it looks cozy! Food is authentic, absolutely love their fried chicken which we come here mainly for. Try the snow dusted ones which is like a cheese powder but way lighter than you think. Skip kfc and come here instead !“
“Small gem of a noodle shop that's both cheap and very tasty! Has only about 7 small tables inside.Wuhan Dry Noodle:- noodles were perfectly bouncy and generously coated with sauce (nothing "dry" about it at all!)- sauce was the ⭐: peanutty and flavourful, with a mild spicy kick- the spicy-sour radish and salty bean toppings were great punches of flavour and paired well with the rich sauceFor about $10, it also came with a canned pop drink for free, making it a great deal for delicious noodles!“
“Best authentic and delicious pho. They dont skimp on any of the ingredients. Great seating area. The parking in this plaza is very hard to get a spot. The food here is good. I would highly recomend. The number 1 dish to try is the main pho it comes out within minutes and very tasty. I go here when i can.“
“Fried pork knuckles with fried sauce shows up again??I ate at Markham restaurant this time and it was very delicious! But the only difference is...If the pork trotters are too juicy, the fried sauce will be watery and the noodles will be diluted I might have to do it separately next time “
“Quick service as per their name. They serve "Crossing Bridge" vermicelli and you can order extra noodles without charges. They also have a drinks bar for example bubble tea. Good variety of broth and ingredients. Beware that they have 3 peppers spicy, which does live up to the “
“We finished our meal before closing time, and the waitress was so nice! I have rarely encountered such a warm and friendly service industry worker in Toronto. It really makes people feel like they are in the spring breeze, and I can feel that she is serious and responsible for her work. She really takes care of her customers' needs and is not impatient at all. Such a person will definitely be the most impressive in any industry! When we left, I said Happy New Year to her, and she bent down and rummaged through the cabinet for a long time, and found an Alpine for me and gave it to me? It was so touching! I really want to say to her that you made my day❤️❤️❤️I wish you all the best and good luck❤️❤️❤️“
“The king size dumplings are super tasty and the kimichi tastes super fresh. Highly recommend in term of the quality of the food and the dumplings are about $1-2 dollars cheaper than the other one. It tastes not as salty than the others nearby but its not as big (that has terrible customer service) that sells the same thing. Update: just went into the store in person to check out the place today. The server who greeted me had NO customer service. After I ordered she kicked me out of the store to stand in the cold for 10 mins to wait for the food...and there was only her and the cook and no other customer in the store. I have also ordered their homemade kimichi as a side and it is such a small bowl but more expensive than the other korean restaurant (theirs small kimichi is $3 bucks) nearby who served similar food....hmmmmmm worth to give it a try but the customer service will keep me from going into the store for a bit. Just order take out its easier“
