“Had an amazing meal! As expected the starters (caviar deviled egg), amuse bouche, main courses (aged strip, wild mushroom fettuccine) , and sides (crab cake, potatoes) were all perfect.Since I was so focused on deciding on those, the other parts were an afterthought to me. And I’m glad, cause that made them my favorite part! The bread (sourdough with chive garlic butter), salad (Roasted pear and goat cheese), drink (rum, pineapple, green chili!) and dessert (angel food grilled cheese) all have been stuck in my head since.Service was top notch, and nothing beats the view“

“Amazing birthday dinner! The food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely amazing. One definitely should try one of their signature cocktails, each one that we had was amazing. Very extensive wine list. Our entrées were also really good. I want to also say that the weight staff went above and beyond for this birthday dinner. Definitely a great place to celebrate a special event.“

“Senyai has some amazing Thai food. I really love their Pad Medmamuang. The crispy chicken in roasted chili sauce with cashews give it a superior taste. It’s absolutely delicious and if you like chicken, you should give it a shot. Their Grapow Kai Krop is also one of my favorite. I have tried grapow in other Thai restaurants but senyais just taste better. This time I tried their red curry with tofu. The tofu was so soft and delicious. The curry was okay. They also have the patio open which makes senyai one of the few places in Pittsburgh to allow outdoor seating even in winter. Overall, the place is cute. I recommend making reservations over weekend as it gets really busy.“

“My friend and I came to Pittsburg for a concert and decided to try Taiwanese food for the first time. EXCELLENT flavor, service and atmosphere. It’s a small bistro, so there may not be a lot of space if you have a big group, but we both felt comfortable. I tried to string beans with chicken and it was perfect! The flavor, crispness, and heat (just a little, which I liked because I don’t eat a lot of spicy foods). The service was quick and all of the meals around us looked delicious. Highly recommend if you like Taiwanese food or want to try something different. We will definitely be back on any future Pittsburg trips.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetable or tofu options. My friend had a soup-like dish (can’t remember the name) with tofu and loved it!“

“Overall, we had a mixed experience at the restaurant. While the service was good, there were some issues with the food quality control during our visit. The burrata was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cheeseburgers. However, we were disappointed to find that the capers in the steak tartare had a moldy odor to them, and the Lobster Mac was overly salty, making it inedible. Despite these setbacks, Manager David promptly addressed the issues, which we appreciated.“
“Fresh fish, beef, chicken, pork, lamb and produce! The employees are always very helpful and friendly and the store is always clean. Their fresh food cafe is great for a quick bite and their sushi is so fresh, it's almost still wriggling.“

“This place is a hidden gem for sure, I’ve driven past it hundreds if not thousands of times. Finally stopped in and wow, one of the best meals I’ve ever had, service was great, owner was great, the chef, man that guy knows what he’s doing. If you haven’t, you need to eat “

“The food was wonderful, and everything tasted great. It's a little pricey, but it was well worth it.Vegetarian options: Depends on what you like and if you eat fish or not.Parking: I only went for lunch, and it was pretty open. It wasn't hard to find a spot.Kid-friendliness: As long as (YOU) make sure your child behaves. There should be no problem with having your child eat too. There are a lot of options for you and the child to eat, even dessert.“

“I’ve been coming here for about 7 years now, and it quickly became my favorite restaurant from the first meal! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Penny, the owner and main face you see here, is truly a godsend. She is so so sweet, always sure to accommodate for dietary preferences, always so joyful, and now remembers our entire families order before we say a word ! Now for the food, truly the best food I’ve ever had in my life. We visit Thai places in every city we visit and other Thai places in Pittsburgh, NOTHING compares to Pennys Thai !! The curries & soups are so rich, the fried rice and noodles dishes are cooked to perfection, and the Thai tea with coconut milk is phenomenal. Don’t skip on the mango sticky rice for dessert! Our whole family goes for every birthday, holiday, and celebration now and she knows us as the “vegans from Ohio”Thanks for the meals & memories Penny !Vegetarian options: Little Bangkoks menu is so diverse, and most of the dishes can be modified to be made vegan/vegetarian.Dietary restrictions: My family is vegan and we are always accommodated, there are sooo many menu modifications that can make most meals vegan !Kid-friendliness: The staff has never turned their head up at my two little boys at dinner, even when they have been not so quiet.“

“me and my boyfriend drove about an hour from beaver county to try shay and baeee's restaurant. the food was pictured exactly how it looks from the pictures online. my boyfriend got the lobster and shrimp. he said everything was fire, only thing he would of changed was to have more lobster meat. I got the chicken and steak, everything was great. chicken was a little dry (nothing a little sauce can't fix) and the cabbage and Mac n cheese was good. cabbage was just a little spicy for me (I'm weak with spicy foods so may be fine to others) go support small business, and hopefully we'll see y'all in beaver county one day!“
“Kicking myself for not driving up the hill sooner to this incredible Pittsburgh gem! The food: outstanding and fresh. The drinks: Delicious. The glassware: so fun. The owner and staff: incredible people. We visited on the last night of the season before the owner makes the trek home for some well-deserved time off for the holidays. (They'll be back in Feb). We had lovely conversations with the staff and other bar patrons. It's a lovely cozy space and the perfect environment for talking to strangers. There are some beautiful photos on the wall used as conversation starters from the owners travels. I tried the pickle martini and some of the house-made wines, all were so tasty. The food blew me out of the water. The Iberian plate was a perfectly curated mix of the most delicious meats, cheeses, olives, kimchi, etc. We got lucky that day as the owner had prepared her famous lamb. She slices it thin and serves it with a generous portion of pita bread and house made dips including tatziki and red pepper hummus. I'm dreaming of eating and drinking here again and can't wait to become a regular.“

“The fish was huge & falling off the plate. I don't think I've ever eaten anywhere that they didn't forget to bring something out...like ranch or mayo, but it didnt happen here. You get a lot of food for a very reasonable price. The place was packed the whole time we were there. All the staff were nice & friendly. Definitely worth a trip to South Hills!“

“"Cambodican" is a Pittsburgh gem!My last visit I ordered shrimp rolls as an appetizer. The shrimp are wrapped around skewers then fried.Six shrimp rolls per order. The fresh shrimp, crispy coating and delectable "Moon Sauce" accompaniment will be the BEST appetizer you've ever bought for $5.00 and one of the best starters EVER!For my entree I ordered tilapia over white rice, or as the menu joking lists it "worthless white," with broccoli and carrots.I don't know how the restaurant does it, but the rice is ALWAYS cooked to perfection. Besides white, they also serve fried rice and brown rice. You can choose the rice you prefer. The tilapia is fresh and moist EVERY TIME glazed with an umami sauce. If you like your sauces less sweet just tell them. They really cook to satisfy the customer's taste buds.Have you ever ordered a stir-fry or other dish with vegetables and they're served as if the restaurant forgot to cook them? LOL!I order the broccoli and carrots as "soft," and they have NEVER failed to forget. The "moon sauce" is served on the side. The first time I ordered this dish I ordered two tilapia filets.Talk about a "Belly Buster!"It's a good thing I was going straight home because there were leftovers and I'm not a minimalist eater.I order one tilapia filet if I'm ordering from "Cambodican" for a meal while I'm working. The tilapia entree is truly one of my favorites at any restaurant. If I wasn't too lazy to go outside and wipe the four inches of snow piled on top of my car I'd drive to "Cambodican" right now!!The family that owns the restaurant are extremely customer focused and amazingly accommodating. The father is a true "Jokester." He loves interacting with customers. The mother is super friendly and a fabulous cook. The son always accommodates my every food whim. The daughter is engaging and has the most adorable little son, who scampers around the restaurant bringing joy to everyone around him. There's a fast food restaurant one block from "Cambodican" where I occasionally buy a vegetarian burger with fries and a drink when "Cambodican" is closed. The mediocre meal (room temperature burger, cold fries and flat pop) costs $13.00.THE SPECTACULAR TILAPIA, RICE AND VEGETABLE ENTREE AT "CAMBODICAN" COSTS ONLY $10.00 (a couple bucks more if you want two filets)!!!I just might call "Tony Williams Car Service" and treat myself to a chauffeured driven ride to "Cambodican." LOL!P.S.Don't forget to order one of "Cambodican's" decadent desserts!Dietary restrictions: Staff will cook food according to your directions.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible restaurant.“

“Great experience at Alihan's today! My friend and I ordered the iskander kebab and Turkish falafel. We really liked them both! The complementary bread is so soft and chewy. The ambience strikes a nice balance between classy and comfortable. We learned from the staff as they closed out for the evening that they had been understaffed. They were so pleasant and attentive that it didn't show! I highly recommend Alihan's for an all around positive experience.“

“One of the best fried food in town. And I’m talking about this specific branch. The workers are super friendly. I’ve been in Pittsburgh for about 5 years and I can finally say that I found my spot for fried chicken. Their grilled chicken is dope and if you’re into grilled chicken wings then you must try theirs. I highly recommend it! Bang for your buck!“

“Read the mini bio/mission statement of young Luke Wholey at the front of the restaurant; so charming and somehow makes you feel personally connected. The food we ordered was cooked very well with great freshness, flavor and seasoning. The fish and oysters were excellent. We had the unexpected opportunity to meet and speak with R. Wholey who was very generous with his time in answering questions about the history of the family business. What a treat!Personally observed LW with a broom in hand and doing a quick clean of the stairs then also acting as greeter and host as guests came in. It was our first visit, hopefully not the last, and I hope the restaurant continues to have success and longevity much like the related Wholey's fish market and grocery store down the block.“

“This place is awesome! If you're looking for some fried fish and fried chicken that will blow your balls off, you've found the right place. I've had their chicken salad too and it's a yinzer masterpiece. Sure, I've had their gyro too and it wasn't a 10 out of 10 but this is the FISH and CHICKEN Boss not Mike and Tony's. Don't be a potato, pull you're head out of your rear end and order some fried deliciousness“

“The food is excellent. I had the seared scallopps with a creamy white sage sauce, out of this world. Just the right amount of sage and sauce. Clam chowder hit the spot, this was the best I have had in ages, and even the side salad with red Roquefort ? dressing. Just the right amount of everything. I normally have leftovers to take home, but not this day. I would love to definitely go back“

“Probably the only complain I can have is the seats are sooo tight and close to other tables ( depends on where you get a table). I felt uncomfortable sitting so close to others next to me but we made a joke about it and decided to go with the flow!Drinks were fantastic ( I loved the dirty martini twist) and oysters were fantastic tooo! BF got a gumbo dish and liked it.We also got the banana bread pudding for desert which was very delicious.Service was good and they had live Jaz music. Definitely recommend!FYI, it’s LOUD! does not bother me tho.“

The restaurant was quite full but without reservations we were quickly seated and received excellent service. We ordered hummus as our appetizer which was delicious! This is such a cozy restaurant which made for a wonderful date night!“

“My mom, my son and I came to Merchant on Friday (2/16) night. Merchant Oyster is pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty...pretty good.We sat upstairs and our waiter was great! Really friendly and welcoming. He had a lot of patience chatting with my son and that means a lot because my son is very talkative. ?The vibe at Merchant is great. It's eclectic and warm and welcoming. The food was awesome. The warm lobster roll with butter was heavenly. And the crab cake sandwich was so fresh and flavorful. The plain mac and cheese was good. It's definitely a nice option for kids. I recommend trying the potato salad. It was crisp and refreshing making it a nice accompaniment to the seafood. We'll definitely be back.“

“We had a private event in their private room earlier this week that was anticipated to have 26 attendees. The room was set up awkwardly in the fact that they made one long table even though it made all the chairs way too close to each other. The food was pretty good, especially our desserts and entrees. The service was also fast. When they brought out each course, they had several people bring out the food so the whole party got their dishes within a couple of minutes of each other. They also validate your parking in the attached garage but you should note that it's only for two hours so you may need to pay a small amount after the validation.“

“Wow! From the hostess who seated us while we waited for some folks who were running late, to the valet who retrieved a Birthday gift we forgot in the car, to Michael the Sommelier and Cyrus the server this night was truly so special. I started with the house old fashioned which, though a little sweet for me, was delicious. My Son and Grandson enjoyed selections from the fantastic whiskey list, and the rest of our party loved the wines Michael suggested. We were a party of six which gave us an opportunity to try a variety of appetizers, mains, and desserts. The tuna tartar, calamari, and wagyu meatballs were outstanding. For mains we had the lambchops, the bone in ribeye, the bone in strip, the dry aged strip, the surf and turf and a simple filet - every single one was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The whipped potatoes, asparagus, creamed spinach were all great but it was those mushrooms that scored the biggest points among the sides. With a variety of desserts and some after dinner drinks our evening was complete and as perfect as it gets. We will definitely be back! Thank you to the whole team for making my Son's birthday a memorable celebration.“
