“Sorbets + Cookies - Strawberry Lime Sorbet & Biscoff Almond Crunch were awesome and most popular. We came in November and it was very mellow, chill, no line and the young girl was nice & helpful.Dietary restrictions: Egg free, diary free, & gluten free options available.”
“The food was very good. The menu options are limited. The service was very slow for a non busy afternoon. And we were in no hurry.... and we noticed the service was slow.”
“Food and drinks were delicious! Our server, Ariel, was absolutely the best! We can highly recommend the Cadillac margarita and bangin’ shrimp tacos. We will definitely be back.”
“Thank you Steven & Hannah for incredible service. Great recommendations with food as far as the sashimi rolls go as well as getting a mix of raw & grilled oysters just be aware to order not over the salt display. This place is incredible though & has some great happy hour specials.”
“Their BBQ was fantastic.. the nachos were very tasty and filling - probably enough for a meal alone.. lots of TVs to watch the game.. and great sweat tea, too..!”
“Lovely people, lovely food, lovely time. This place is full of local customers, the sure sign of excellence (and success). High quality food and wines and owner Emily is as gracious as an old friend at home. Highly recommended.”
“A bit pricey as one would expect when dining anywhere close to a beach. With that being said, our panini's were excellent and the staff was really friendly and ”
“Sometimes (almost all the time) my husband and I just go to the beach so that we can stop at Dunleavy’s after the beach. It’s cash only so plan ahead, but we enjoy the cold beer, delicious popcorn, and their amazing chili. This place is a staple. My husband also loves the chicken salad sandwich. Please bring back the apple Bold Rock, and I may never leave (but I’ll enjoy the Miller Lite in the meantime!).”
“Visited mainly because my daughter is a EA Poe nut. Got lots of photos and a t-shirt for her. With regards beer, good choice, friendly staff. Prices on the higher side (but then I'm from the UK).”
“This is BEST ice cream place we have ever been too! The fact that all the ice cream and cones are gluten free, seed oil free, homemade and high quality sourcing won me over AND it’s the first time I’ve enjoyed ice cream without a bellyache. Also, the serving is very generous. It’s worth every penny!”
“This place is very impressive from service to ambiance to food quality. We were greeted by one of the managers who was amazing and started explain in the whole process to us super friendly. Then we ordered drinks while we wait in line it was around 30 minutes line but not bad as they have a bar where you can easily order while you wait until you arrive at the counter. Ordered a lot of meats and sides by the pound and boy it did not disappoint!! Cherry in the cake they took us to the smoker room for a private tout where they explained the whole smoking process to us that was absolutely fantastic!!”
“I dined at Delaney oyster tonight, and had an incredible experience. Our server was Charlie (easy to remember, we have the same name) and he gave us an experience we could never forget. 10/10 I will be back and I will be asking for Charlie!”
“Yes, it is as amazing as the others mentioned. You can stop looking for another cocktail bar now, this is on your must-see/try short list. With some of the best well-crafted balanced cocktails you'll find anywhere, coupled with an amazing staff, you'll want to visit again, trust me.”
“Our favorite restaurant during our time in Charleston! I wish we would’ve done the chef courses menu to get more variety, but everything we ordered was perfect. So creative and a great use of seasonal and local produce. You can tell there’s so much thought and care put into each dish. Expect to spend about $80 a person, but it’s so worth it.Our waiter was incredible and made our night so much better! Definitely get the butterscotch pudding if they still have it on their menu! :)”
“Entirely too many children. Please have a separate area for kids. I would really love this place if kids weren't running and screaming around me while I tried to enjoy a beer outside. Good food and beer and almost a nice patio if you like kids at a bar.”
“This place is ok. We got the oyster, and I was surprised how unflavored it tastes, and I've eaten oysters around the world. The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star is because of the gumbo. OMG, the best I've ever had. Can't stop thinking about it. A must for everyone.”
“We loved this restaurant so much that we came two nights in a row while on our vacation. Amazing food, the best bread I’ve ever had, and excellent service. They have unique vegetarian options as well.”
“Best omakase in Charleston and probably South Carolina. On par with places I’ve been in Seattle and NYC. You won’t be disappointed. One of the better sake selections I’ve ever seen and Chris knows his stuff. If you like high quality omakase you need to snag a reservation here.”
“The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. I’ve had a lot of southern food in my life, and Acme had some of the best fried chicken and collard greens I’ve ever had. The fried grits are a must if you like decadent southern fare. The only drawback was the service. The hostess and waitress both had similar demeanors, which were not very pleasant. Our waitress took a long time to come take our orders and give us drinks and was a bit curt. I was happy to deal with it as long as I got the food, though.”
“Can’t say enough good things about Hanks! The martinis are ice cold and made to perfection. The crab cakes and grouper are the best I’ve ever had. The service is grand. Highly recommend for a special dinner or just a night out on the town.”
“I hate fish so I ordered the shrimp and rice, which was delicious, but my husband had the swordfish and talked me into trying it. It was amazing!!We tried all the oysters and they were all so good! And the service was incredible!!Absolutely worth visiting more than once.”
“Fantastic Food, super fresh, the staff were excellent and the atmosphere was really cool. Hands-down one of the best restaurants that Charleston has to offer without a doubt you have to go to this place. If you visit Charleston one little tidbit, it opens up at five. If you wanna even be considered to go in there, they do not take reservations get there at 4 o’clock. You may find yourself in a line of 30 people, but you will get in.”
“The restaurant seems to be showing its age. The gnocchi is still great. The atmosphere, service, and other dishes are in decline. At the price point there are better options in Charleston. They have removed the lime cream puff from the menu, if you are/were a fan of it.”
“Hands down best meal in Charleston. Well worth the 2.5 hour wait. Absolutely incredible flavors across the board. Very fresh seafood, prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is lively and fun!We had the sweetest server, Holly! We bonded over people always saying our names wrong lol. There’s no wonder this place makes everyone’s must try list when visiting Charleston! ”
“Honestly, the best meal I've had in Charleston in a long time. Our group had vegans and non-vegans, and we all had plenty of delicious options to choose from. I'll be dreaming about some of these dishes for a long time!”
“Best espresso martini in town! Stopped in here before dinner and the service was hands down the best we had all day! The owner of was working behind the bar and he clearly has a passion for cocktails and service! Glad we stopped in!”
“Special thanks to Chef Derick Wade and his crew at a Pop-up at Fleeting Restaurant in Savannah GA. Had THE BEST scallop dish I’ve had in a very long time. Delicious diver scallops over a sweet corn risotto loaded with smoked bacon and other delicious bits. And some yummy Tybee Salt Bombs. Look forward to your opening in Savannah! Thanks for making my Monday.”
“Absolutely delicious food. We started with the s'mores and carrot cake and were not disappointed. So rich and delicious. We moved on to the fried sweet potato skins, topped with an arugula salad blend. So well balanced and fresh. The main course was the tomato pie. Honestly the best meal I've ever had in Charleston! Highly recommend!”
“This is the best meal I have ever eaten in my life.Josh was our server and he was first class he knew that menu like he was the cook.We will never return to Charleston with out eatting here.”
“Genuinely some of the best food I've had ever, I'm still dreaming about the beet and burrata salad, radiatore, and the chocolate cremeux dessert. Rarely are dishes so good I'm motivated enough to even try to recreate but days after the burrata salad I did just that (ofc it wasn't as good as the original). The chocolate cremeux was the dessert of my dreams: the perfect saltiness of the cookie with the creaminess of the marshmallow and chocolate was absolute heaven. I'm just sad I can't go back right away since we visited Charleston only briefly.”
