“As promised Jared… the star chefs adorning the walls would be very proud of what was the best French toast I have ever eaten, and one of the top breakfasts ever!!! Foie gras!!!, macerated and fresh berries, toasted pecans, granola, and maple cream made for a beautifully presented and texturally diverse dish. We were travelers looking for unique eats in Rapid City, drawn in by your website’s description of the menu, and not disappointed. I believe the sign of a great meal is when you savor each bite, already from the start regretting the end of the meal will inevitably come. Look up the video of Julia Child tearing up after sampling a Nancy Silverton dessert and you’ll know what I mean. Thanks Jared for going the extra mile to get me that foie gras and for the excellent service!!! Hope to be back some day ;)“

“This restaurant is a solid 5-star with Incredible food and attentive staff. It is a a local favorite but this traveler will return! Legit hand breaded chicken fried steak and real mashed potatoes were perfectly prepared. No prebreaded steak or boxed mix used in our meal. Complimentary bread before the meal from their in house bakery was tender and tasty as was their coconut cream pie with authentic flaky, home style crust with fresh whipped cream topping and rich filling. This will not disappoint!“

“This was my first time at any Culver's and I give it 5 stars. I interacted with two employees and both were super nice. The burger (butter burger double with cheese) was very tasty and absolutely fresh. The service was fast and the interior clean and comfortable. I say this location is a step up from the normal fast food experience.“

“We recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at Golden Bison Grille. Our fine pre-dinner drinks at the bar were attended by the friendly Ms. Tina. The Golden Bison meal was beyond delicious with melt in your mouth pork doused in an outstanding bourbon glaze and oh-so-tender steak bites, grilled asparagus and sweet herbed potatoes. Our friendly and efficient server, Roland, provided the perfect amount of attention and completed our experience with the most delicious Crème Brûlée! “Would absolutely recommend Shipwrecks Bar & Grill! They have their own separate gluten free fryer. My 2 year old son with Celiac and other allergies was able to have walleye fingers with French fries and loved them! They even made it into a kids meal for him! The head chef was very knowledgeable about celiac and willing to talk with us! Wonderful experience all around!“

“Our Host was also our Server. He sat us at a HUGE booth, which can fit 4-7 people (there were only 2 of us). The Drink Menu is extensive. Since we didn't know if we were expecting, I didn't take advantage of the Key Lime Pie Martini. Will more than likely be back to try this! Appetizer/Menu and pricing were as expected (on the higher end of things, but it was my Birthday, so it was ok). We got the Hot Crab Dip for an Appetizer. Could've used more bread. Husband got the Wild Boar Lasagna and I got the Coconut Curry Shrimp Bowl. All 3 Dishes were great! It got awkward after our Server took our empty plates, since it took him awhile to bring us our bill. We didn't know if we had to get up and pay, or if they thought we stayed at the hotel, to charge our room...Husband had to take out his wallet, and put on the table, to show we were ready for our bill.“

“Service was great from the hostess to servers. The two others with me had steaks, good flavor but prefer a thicker cut instead of thin cut that looks bigger. Had the salmon and it was very good. One had the brussel sprouts that had maybe 3 slices and the rest was burnt, loose leaves. Manager blamed it on the supplier, if that is the issue then remove it from menu, there were at least two other items not available.“

I rarely ever leave a review, however during our most recent visit on Thursday September 24, our server Kay made our experience even better. She was handling the service of several tables with ease and with a wonderful attitude. “The service in the past might have been bad, but we didn't experience that tonight. Spencer did a great job, seating us promptly, asking if we had questions about the menu (we did), answering said questions, asking us if we liked our meals, and keeping our drinks filled.

My wife and I both enjoyed our sandwiches. Lots of interesting flavors in The Spaniard. They worked well together.

Prices seemed pretty much in line with other places in the vicinity.

Now, for the one negative. The salt! The tater tots were way too salty, as was the olive puree on my sandwich. Thankfully, I ordered the latter on the side. Dial the salt back and this would've been a home run.“

Hostess sat us immediately. Upon 2nd arrival she informed us there may be a wait, we were fine with that. Our server Jake (our server both times) came quickly, was very friendly and both times was spot on with food & coffee. He didn't forget a thing and was super friendly. Our 3rd visit that same week, service was 'meh'. If we make it again before we leave, we're hoping to get Jake again. Most excellent service!!! Oh, food was good too, but Jake was the best!!“

“Updated Sept 2026 - this is the only restaurant that consistently will automatically sit customers in their bar area without first asking if customers mind... then act like it's an inconvenience to sit customers in a different area. PLEASE get in the habit of asking before assuming.

Usually great food and service, broccoli is often close to raw, soup sometimes cold, but the burger is always a hit as are chips and salsa!

Really HATE when they automatically go to seat us in the bar without asking first. I've brought this up several times (that they ask first instead of assume) but they apparently assume everyone wants to sit in the bar area, even with a wide open restaurant during nonbusy times.“
