“Sharkys is where it’s at!!!! Burritos have never been so good! They elevate the fast food experience with high quality, unique ingredients. The best part being the serving size - they make sure you get all the bang for your buck. Whenever I visit Amarillo I hit up Sharkys to get my burrito fix!The service is speedy and the store is clean with lots of seating both indoors & out.100% recommend the spicy ranch with any and everything you order!“
“The Plaza has been one of our family's favorite restaurants in Amarillo for over 30 years. We love their food. We especially love the jam that comes with the cheese sticks. We have many favorite items including the stuffed avocados and enchiladas. The papas are also very tasty. The restaurant is family friendly. Usually, there are many people trying to eat there during peak dining times. The service is always good. Our only complaint would be that they do not take reservations which is particularly maddening when we have a large group.Parking: Usually there is plenty of parking. Sometimes you have to walk a little if during a peak dining time.“
“Better bring your appetite when you enter here! Found it by accident, or maybe it was fate. The aroma of brisket cooking outside set the stage for enjoying the Brisket En Sala Verde I ordered. The sauces for the brisket (and the chips) was a perfect balance between spicy warmth and the salsa verde. My wife had the brisket burrito and was equally pleased. Great local flavors served by a very accommodating staff. Nothing but good things to say about this place. (Sorry about the platter shot that was taken after a couple of bites-I really wanted to eat!)“
“I just got home with my burrito from Good Day; I ordered a $9 asada burrito that ended up being just lettuce, and asada in a tortilla. I had asked what all came on it and they said asada, lettuce, onions and tomatoes, im not a fan of onions or tomatoes so I had asked if they would put beans and rice in it so it felt more filling for me but when I took a bite there were no beans and rice:( I didn't pay extra for them but I wouldn't have ordered at all if I wasn't able to get beans and rice on it (that's what makes it a burrito to me) I will say the asada did taste amazing! just wasn't want i tried to ask for. My boyfriend did say his guisada and bacon breakfast burrito was good!! We love this stop! I just wish I had gotten what I asked for:/“
“Had one of the yummiest breakfast burritos I have ever had, and it was only four dollars in 2023. Mind blowing. If I’m back in town, I’ll definitely drop by, it was full of fellow Mexicans, and it smelled amazing which is always a good sign for amazing food. I inhaled my burrito, so delicious!“
“This place is a gem. I would describe the food more as Tex-Mex rather than authentic Mexican but boy is there food GOOD! Everything we tried (a brisket burrito, chimichanga and three different tacos) was utterly delicious! Service was great and polite, price points were great, very affordable for a lunch time stop.“
“Did y'all change the gravy on the asada burrito ? The gravy on my burrito tonight was different somewhat , It had red chili in it. I like the original best. And I thought onions were automatically a part of Mexican food....but you have to pay extra for those and half the time they fail to put them on there. Otherwise what we had was really good.“
“Super easy to find a parking spot; parking on every side and handicap able as well. There was no wait we got a spot on Sunday quick. The hostess was attentive and quick at her job and keeping us all refilled on our drinks and suggesting different foods. There's allot on the menu it's hard to choose but the burgers are DeVine! And the chilli rellano is spot on! We had leftovers to take home. And the salsa is a must as well! They even had fresh roses on every table. This is a must try place if you are looking for something yummy!Kid-friendliness: Kid drinks and meals just not listed on the menu“
“Some of the best tacos we've ever had! And that's from guys that have lived on the Mexican border! Quality authentic Mexican food with a very nice waitress and quaint atmosphere. Nothing to complain about just absolutely fantastic all around.“
“Ordered barbacoa/al pastor (4 for $8) and birria tacos (3 for $10). All of them were great and the service was incredible! So friendly, and walked it out to the car for us. Cash or cash app only. A great stop on our road trip - definitely recommend.Dietary restrictions: My wife can’t have dairy & they made the birria without cheese for her.“
“Not as good as the original David's ! But Huge improvements for the new owners sometimes questionable but now without a doubt they got it down. I will definitely make it one of my places I go and the adult beverages are phenomenal, you can't go wrong with getting a drink there.Kid-friendliness: They don't mind kids at all and have a great kids menu“
“Amazing food, beautiful interior design, Jalisco style fresh, delicious, and authentic cuisine. Impeccable service, beans and extra chips free of charge. Great cumbia music. Great prices too!! Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant, so good!Hands down best restaurant I’ve been to in the state of Texas. Highly highly recommend!!!“
“Well that was fantastic. Austin was a great help, very kind. Food was out of this world. One suggestion: stock some tequila reposado. Experts may say that there's no difference in margaritas, but when you have four different kinds of whiskey, you can make room for a fourth kind of premium tequila. ?“
“Very established place here in Amarillo. It has been in business for a very long time. The service is always up to par. No matter how new or fresh the employees are. The food is Bussin ! It gets pretty busy and crowded often. It's expensive honestly, but I don't blame them for charging that much when it's good.Kid-friendliness: Was a comfortable restaurant for our son.“
“They have the best breakfast burritos they are delicious and if you get the combo breakfast burritos it's got 2 meats and is absolutely worth the extra dollar from the plain breakfast burrito ($6 for combo $5 for normal) and it comes with a tiny cup of really fantastic salsa it's definitely my favorite breakfast burrito in “
“Good food, nice place to stop while traveling. Would get 5 stars If we were allowed to call in an order to eat in instead of having to get it to-go. That's more beverage revenue! (Dining in takes longer than it does to charge, but order-ahead works well.)“
“Just another taco truck. NOT EVEN. The inviting aroma drew me in they took my Oder every detail right. The food was AMAZING! every bit was an extravaganza of taste. I’ve had this quality of cuisine at an elegant restaurant, but this is a taco truck. I thanked the cook at the grill, I was greeted with a genuine smile, as I left the truck, I noticed how clean it was. That explains the 100 for cleanliness inside on the window. The drive to taco guapo was worth it.il be back for sure!!!.“
“There are 3 objective qualities to a good burrito: the tortilla, the filling, and the salsa.I had the Chicken burrito. It was very good. The tortilla felt handmade, fluffy, and a little thicker than most. (9/10)The chicken was seasoned well and had the signature char from similar grilled chicken establishments. Do not be surprised to find a bone or gristle. This place cooks whole chickens and cuts them up to prepare burritos. They do not have specific cuts of meat.Filling included Mexican rice and whole slow cooked beans which were also delicious by themselves. (9/10)There is a salsa bar with various garnishes as well. I tried the creamy green which was not very spicy and I could tell had some avocado blended in; it was good (8/10). I also tried a dark red that was spicier but not unbearable; it was my favorite (9.5/10).Overall delicious burrito but I’ll be ordering the whole chicken next time I go back.“
“Gaaaawwwdam these tacos were fire I'm just driving through Texas back to California and I am so happy I stopped and checked this place out. I got the carnitas burrito, and the got the tacos de asada BOMB I also got tacos de pastor and guess what BOMB. The service was great, everyone kind and ready to serve. If I'm ever rolling through Amarillo again best believe I'm gonna stop here.“
“This is our go to taco truck, I love it. The meat is always cooked to perfection. We don’t go anywhere else.If you’re wondering about pricing since there is none reflecting on the menu this was our order and the amount to give you an estimate:3 burritos de barbacoa, kids tacos (2 tacos & fries),kids quesadilla(two pieces of tortilla with cheese and fries),two quesadillas, quesatacos, pechuga plate, two taco plates. That totaled to $87.“
“Excellent prices. Great local spot, strong hole in the wall vibes. All four of us at with a nacho appetizer for less than $20. This restaurant reminds of the way things used to be! It’s still about 15 minutes from i40 though. So if you have extra time, it’s worth the trip. Very homelike atmosphere. Everything feels like you’re being served as a guest in someone’s home. The food was great!“
“Come for the food. The pozole was excellent. We also had the church bites and sopapillas, which definitely brought back fond memories from our youth. The service was attentive and positive, even though they were preparing to close after lunch.“
“Absolutely the best green chili chicken enchiladas I have ever had. And I lived in New Mexico for more than 20 years and travel extensively in the southwest. Refried beans so delicious. Very clean and tidy place. Awesome service! Can't say enough about this “
“I was passing through Amarillo. On my way back to San Antonio, and I stopped to spend the night at the Courtyard by Marriott across the street. I sat at the bar for a late night meal and got the fajita platter. I must say it was excellent and I was impressed by the service in the care the staff took to make sure I enjoyed my meal. I will make a special trip to Braceros anytime I am in Amarillo going forward.“
“Good Mexican seasoning, spicy but delicious. You can breathe the family atmosphere. Coffee with cinnamon is like being in the mountains. Fast and hygienic service. If you try the corn tortillas, you'll even order them to go (they come in a dozen).“
“I was blown away by their steak covered in bacon wrapped shrimp! Waitress was friendly and super attentive! I'm not a particularly fancy eater but I know quality when I see it and this was a cut above what I was expecting!I'll be back to try more!“
“My husband and I went to eat here and there food was delicious. The place could use some clean up as far as there decor . There blow fish near the ceiling are nasty and a few other items but other then that the food was fantastic and the service was great .“
“Today was my first time eating here, although I've lived in Amarillo since forever, my sister invited me after attending a Christian meeting, and when it came time to ask for the ticket to pay our bill, come to find out that the owner payed for both of our meals. So long story short the food was amazingly delicious and on the house. Thank you so much it was very much surprising and appreciated!“
“I have never been here until this morning. My hunny took me on a breakfast date.(Mi gavachito loves his Mexican food)Our food was delicious and very plentiful. Our server this morning was sweet and very attentive to us.I wish I had asked her name, but I didn't.I just remembered she had curly long hair. We'll definitely be back on a day that Menudo is available. ?Parking: Some parking on the business lot,but also a huge parking area across the street for 18 Wheelers and much smaller vehicles.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of space for wheelchair accessibility as well.“
“Do yourself a favor and stop at this food truck! Hands down the best food I’ve had in a very very long time, and the equivalent of a hole in the wall food truck. The service was great, they kindly brought our order to our car, loaded with all we needed to hit the road again. They were quick AND fresh. The chilakill box I had was genius, and just excellent. Got red and green chili, one or both were spicy, but I could not stop eating it, just too delicious. My other two road travelers got burritos and both were impressed! The green and red side salsa also took the cake. I will be going out of my way to pass by again as we travel I-40 a few times a year.“
“The food was fantastic. The top shelf guacamole was among the best I’ve ever had. From appetizers to dessert everything was perfect. Our waiter Nathan was awesome. He anticipated our every need and was engaging and fun! Great food and great service. Thank you!“
“It's not a high end steakhouse, but that's not why you're here. You're here for the delicious food and friendly staff, which you'll find in abundance! Two visits in two nights, and we tried cheese enchiladas, chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, chile relleno, quail (you won't find that in Colorado!) and lamb chops (OMG so good!). There's no green chile which is available at every Mexican restaurant in Colorado (and lesser versions in NM), but there are lots of unique sauces to try. Do yourself a favor and swing by - you can thank me later!“
“(Translated by Google) The fish tacos for Kikis Tacos are very delicious! The fish is tasty and good, and the sauce is more or less spicy. The beans are not tasty, it is very cold. The rice is very good! Dr. Pepper's soda is very cold. The ingredients are very good healthy! In general, Kikis Tacos is so-so, but still good!(Original)Los tacos de pescado para Kikis Tacos es muy delicioso! El pescado es sabroso y bueno, y la salsa es más o menos picante. “My granddaughter brought us here for breakfast last week on the way to Denver. It was the best REAL Mexican food I’ve had in 30 years. Truly Authentic! We are on our way back to Dallas and will have breakfast here tomorrow. I was hoping to have dinner tonight also but it’s closed. Dang! You must try a real authentic taste of Mexico! You won’t regret it! Oh! Real homemade corn tortillas! You’ll want to take at least a dozen home. They freeze well!!! My personal favorite so far is pork in red sauce burrito…Yummo! Just like my abuelita use to make!“
“Amazing food! It was just the right size and big enough for my 2 littles to share! There flavor was amazing! The pricing was even great to I fed 4 for $35 and let's talk about the watermelon drink!!! It's too die for you have to try this place if your in the mall and need a quick bite. I'm just not a fan of the mall and all the people but if your lucky to find a seat snag it and some lunch ? get there before the sale out the carnitas and brisket was the way to go“
“I have to be honest... The Taco Truck is better than the restaurant. Not disrespecting Mrs. Ramirez, but her son can cook. My only complaint is, the food at the restaurant needs more flavor... And Rice! They ran out by the time we went to eat!!! Also... If you know someone who knows Spanish, take them with you. I took my wife!!!“
“OMG!! MUST HAVE!! We just moved here to help my mother in law who is on Hospice. “In town for a quick visit and was looking for a good spot for breakfast. Found this gem. The burritos.... Muy Buenos! It gets busy but 100% worth the wait. I had a super good barbacoa burrito and my mom had the Chile relleno burrito! A true Hispanic establishment... loved it! We came back before leaving and grabbed some flour tortillas to take home. Check it out!“
“Great service, and the food was perfect! Hot and mild sauce were on point! The hot is definitely on fire so a little goes a long way!Bring a small container because they will fill it up with the green sauce so you can take it home with you =)“
“Usually stop there a few times a wk on my way to work. My go to is a bacon/egg/potato and it's so delicious. Tortillas are excellent and so is the salsa- fresh ingredients and seasoned well. Huge burrito that will keep you full til dinnertime. Friendly staff and prompt service. Definitely recommend.“
“I've lived down the street from this place and after finally eating here, I can't believe what I was missing out on. Amazing food and staff. We eat here as often as we can afford. Even when my father was in the hospital, he would send me here for burritos. Great place.“
“The restaurant is cleaned, but dated! The salsa is fresh and I recommend a side guacamole as well! I has the grilled fish tacos and my husband had the enchiladas with mole sauce! Both dishes were excellent and the pricing is extremely reasonable! Worth the trip!“
“Convenient but quality nook for Mexican food right off the highway while passing through Amarillo. Food was good - I was interested in trying the pozole which was tasty, served with cabbage, onions, lime, and corn tortillas. Agree with previous post - salsa was awesome! Chips were fresh and crispy. Rice and beans were pretty standard, nothing special. Very reasonable prices. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant and bathroom was clean. Restaurant appeared to be packed with locals (a testament to the quality of the food). Overall, really excellent value.“
“I loved it!. This is my first time ever trying a torta. I ordered the Cubana torta. It did not disappoint me. The bread was fantastic, it was tender but yet, not crumbly and held everything together. The salsa I really liked too. It was just spicy enough to get my eyes watering.“
“The best Chile Verde in town! I went today and ended up not having enough on my card to cover my food and the young lady working the window covered the rest of my bill for me! Not only amazing food but they always have the friendliest people working there.“
“We came for dinner and Happy Hour was ongoing from 4-7. The drinks were delicious.i like the option for spicy fajitas. While I enjoyed the fajitas, there was more fajita veggies than actual fajitas - which was a disappointment. The food was delicious. Service was great as well.“
“No loud music.Excellent food.High quality service. These are the things I love about Jacobo's.Here you will find the best menudo in town. The caldo is a bit spicy with the right flavor. And I've not found pata anywhere else. The horchata tastes like homemade.“
“Best elote in amarillo. ?? Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick snack :) If you aren't big on spicy things, make sure to ask for the chile on the side. Would recommend adding a small amounts of chile and working your way up to your spice tolerance“
“Clean place, The food was delicious, perfect seasonings, texture, Not over cooked. I had La cazuela, ? the drinks were ice cold, simply perfect.Julia was very attentive, helpful and great attitude.A definite must return.Parking: A bit muddyKid-friendliness: Family ambiance.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“First time here and wow. Not only is the atmosphere very welcoming, but the staff was great as well. Greeted us immediately and got us taken care of as quick as they could. They didn’t waste any time maintaining the tables and area clean which helps getting guests in quickly. We ordered 4 different plates and they were all very delicious. Full of flavor! Highly recommend.“
