“I love the food here most of the time. Matter of fact I would eat here every time I go fishing if it was not for the weekend brunch menu. The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is how they handle their brunch. Is their brunch menu on the weekend is over priced and the food is average at best. I will spend just as much at breakfast as I do on lunch or dinner but unlike there other meals the food for brunch is bland and the portions small. During their brunch times they do not offer there normal menu. Because of this I will only eat at this location when they are offering their normal items. Now, their normal menu is out of this world. I have tried almost everything, and it is all good. My favorites are the Seared Tuna, Island Boy Burger (sounds weird but try it, it will not disappoint), and the Shrimp Etouffee. Also, you have to try the Anchor Balls. They also have a nice selection of beer. I just wish they would have a standard Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner hours and menus.“
“Awesome place! We were looking for a place to eat after getting into Aransas Pass for the weekend. We came here based off of reviews and we weren’t disappointed! Food was amazing, the service was great, and the views were beautiful! We will definitely be back.“
“This place is fantastic!! The food is great with a HUGE menu. The staff are fantastic!! 3 games of bingo every night 6, 7, 8, and no cost. The winner gets a $10.00 gift card. Darts, pool, outdoor patio. It's just an all-around great place. Stop in and check them out!! Family friendly, and very reasonable prices.“
“The overall customer experience was spot on. The entire staff were friendly, polite, professional, and every one of them had a smile. We took our own fish, and it was cooked to perfection. The drink selection was plentiful. Their dinner rolls are served hot and some of the best I have enjoyed.....especially after adding butter. The key lime pie is a must!!!! Everyone enjoyed their sides and if there is any suggestion to be given, it would be to include a baked potato to the menu.“
“Food, service, atmosphere - 10 out of freaking 10. I write a food column for my local paper, grabbed a last min reservation for Gabriela's as I swung into town for date night. We live on a ranch about 20 min out so this is our "destination dinner" for date night. Everything was so well thought out from the glassware, atmosphere, specials to the arrangement of the dishes. I don't think you can go wrong (unless you have an underdeveloped palette where true and intense flavor leave you overwhelmed) Love the choice of cab for wine by the glass. Loved the glass even more. Can't wait to come back!“
“Just got into Port A last night and was driving down the road looking for a place to get dinner. We saw a full parking lot and took that as a good sign. We didn't have a reservation but we're able to get a table anyway. Emily F. was our server. She was great! Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. She literally ran us down in the parking lot after we left because my husband forgot his credit card at the table. We both got the Pasta Acadiana. Mine with shrimp and my husband's with chicken. They were both tasty and plentiful. We took home our leftovers and had them for lunch today and it was still excellent!Thank you Emily for providing excellent service. I'm sure that we will dine there again before we leave the island.“
“Wife and I were visiting Rockport and we decided to try Wild Prawn. We ordered the Stuffed Redfish and Fried Mahi Mahi. Both dishes came out ~35 min later and we were impressed by the quality and taste. For dessert we shared the deconstructed key lime pie, which was excellent. The owner, Chris, was friendly and chatted with us. Overall we enjoyed the food and will definitely come back the next time we are in Rockport.“
“10/5. Best seafood I have ever had and I've had plenty. Friendly staff, great chefs. We eat here more than once every time we vacation in the area. Scallops over risotto is great. My husband loves the seafood Mac & Cheese. Great ambiance.“
“Excellent! We had fried mushrooms and onion rings as an appetizer and they were both fantastic! Mushrooms perfectly cooked and right size. Onion rings were thinly cut and nicely seasoned. I had the fried shrimp and fish plate and it was enough for two! 6 shrimp and three pieces of fish. My hubby had the chicken fried steak and it was a real chicken fried steak! Nice selection of drinks as well.“
“With the sculpture out front and it being an art gallery we didn't expect to see paintings around the walls in the restaurant. Maybe we missed the gallery section. The food however was fantastic and this is a pokestop for any pokemon go players!“
“Crazy Cajun in Port Aransas: A Spice-Infused FeastIf you're looking for a taste of Louisiana magic on the Texas coast, then The Crazy Cajun in Port Aransas is a must-try. This laid-back joint lives up to its name with a menu that's all about bold flavors and fresh seafood. The staff at The Crazy Cajun were fantastic. Friendly and attentive, they made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Even though the place was buzzing, we were seated quickly and our food arrived in no time. The star of the show, of course, is the Crazy Cajun boil. This overflowing platter is a combination of plump shrimp, succulent crab legs, smoky sausage, sweet corn on the cob, and tender new potatoes. Everything is perfectly cooked, seasoned with their secret Cajun spice blend that packs a flavorful punch. But the real win is the crawfish! Being in season, they were included in the boil, adding a delightful sweetness to the mix.Pro tip: Don't skip out on the side dishes! The velvety dirty rice, rich gumbo, and hearty red beans and rice are the perfect complements to the seafood boil. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, and left us wanting more.Overall, The Crazy Cajun is a Port Aransas gem. Great food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere make it a perfect spot for a casual and delicious meal. Just be prepared to lick your fingers clean!“
“I stayed at Tarpon Inn for 2 nights this spring during SandFest, and I was traveling solo. I really loved the property and my room. So many beautiful historic details remain, but my room had just the right amount of modern touches. If you're looking for a completely modern room layout, this might not be what you're looking for, but I loved it. My favorite part of the property was the porch and courtyard area out back. I sat out there with a magazine both nights, it was so delightful and relaxing. There was live music as well, I also loved that. Parking was easy, there are spaces on either side of the hotel. Plenty of restaurants in easy walking distance. Ferry is a short drive away.“
“The salsa and chips were very good. I had the Ceaser salad with grilled shrimp - it was excellent. We had the combo fajitas which we both really enjoyed. The one issue I did not appreciate is that they only accepted cash - most people prefer using a credit card. The owner should just raise prices by 3% to cover the card fees.“
“Food was excellent! Had the MacDaddy burger and fries and was great! Server was not very attentive. It was nice that she brought water for my dog. But after ordering she disappeared for a long time, never checked on us. Then once we paid the check we asked for tongo containers and I had to track her down to get them about 10 mins later.“
“The pastries are so good! I got a raspberry turnover and it was flakey, sweet and delicious. Others in my party got cupcakes and cinnamon rolls. They heated the cinnamon rolls up for us and they were delicious too. Some tables inside. Staff was great.“
“Wonderful, service-hearted staff from the hotel to the restaurant. Jen at the front desk gave us a tour without hesitation so we could see more of the rooms. Really recommend the FDR suite for 2+ day stays. Great food! Beautiful rooms, and in great shape for the building’s age and for being in a beach town. You can tell the management and staff really care about the maintenance of everything.Food & drinks: Roosevelt’s was so good, and the photos on Google don’t do it justice. Wish I’d remembered to take photos, but it’s more of a cozy, rustic fine dining restaurant than as casual as it appeared to us on the photos. But the bar, 1886 next door, offers a limited version of Roosevelt’s menu, a more casual atmosphere and great drinks.“
“Great atmosphere and the best fajitas ever and the owner Mr. Pena is the best restaurant owner you could ever meet. I couldn’t give this restaurant enough stars! Thank you Mr. Peña and your servers for the great experience my family and myself had.“
“This isn’t a five star restaurant, but the prices are maybe two stars, so it’s a great bargain. Nice folks, too. I eat here all the time. In case that first line is confusing, let’s just say the food, service and atmosphere is all very good!“
“Great food! Bring a big appetite. Wild and very busy on a Friday night ! Our server Frankie Benavides was terrific!! Prices comparable to other big name restaurants on the water. We ate outside and the views were great- and the area fishermen were coming in to the boat ramp, totally enjoyed the experience“
“We gave pasted this hidden gem for the past few years we've been coming down here, my advice DON'T PASSUP THE CHANCE TO EAT HERE!!! Food was incredible, atmosphere is great, and the service was on point!! It's been here for 46 years for a reason!!“
“Very good place...excellent service...the waiter attentive at all times to what we needed...very delicious food...in the United States Mexican food is difficult to match...but here it is much better. .at least they don't put chedar cheese on everything...I give it a 100 rating and of course I will return“
“Creating a personal connection with customers along with a memorable experience goes a long way & Will did this for us. Will recommend some items off the menu & shared with us some of his favorite. Thanks Will for a great experience!“
“Fantastic date night spot! We got the cucumber salad, tuna scallion roll, salt lick roll & grilled seafood platter. It was delicious. The service was fantastic, the food was great and so was the atmosphere.Parking: There are two parking lots reserved for blue water cowboy alongside both sides of the building, a little tight, but did the job. There were about 16-20 spots in the lot we parked in. There were no accessible marked spots in the lot we parked in, not sure about the second lot. The sidewalk was definitely skinny and wouldn't be easily used with a wheelchair with tight corners and some curbs.“
“Dining at Roosevelt's in Port Aransas was an experience that far exceeded our expectations, marking a memorable evening for my family and me. From the moment we were greeted by our waiter, Tommy, whose service was nothing short of exceptional, we knew we were in for a treat. The calamari, a dish we often enjoy, was so delightful that we couldn't resist ordering a second serving. It was cooked to perfection, offering a balance of textures and flavors that left us craving more. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, with each bite transporting us to a culinary paradise. My daughter was enamored with the ice cream, which, in her words, was the perfect ending to her meal. Meanwhile, my wife's seafood medley pasta dish was a masterpiece of tastes and aromas, seamlessly blending the freshness of the ocean with the warmth of home-cooked pasta. It was, as she described, "off the charts."As for my filet mignon, it was flawlessly prepared, melting in my mouth with each savory bite. The quality of the meat and the skillful preparation made it clear why Roosevelt's has earned its reputation. In summary, our dinner at Roosevelt's was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exquisite food, outstanding service from Tommy, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a gem in Port Aransas that we can't wait to return to. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and visit Roosevelt's. You won't be disappointed.“
“Not sure why this shows us as a sushi restaurant as there was no sushi on the menu. I would place it more online with being a seafood restaurant.Good food but almost felt overpriced for what it was. We were a group of six so we ordered three entrees and some appetizers and shared which worked well.“
“Absolutely delicious buffets. There is something for all tastes. For 3 people only around $60, for all you can eat, absolutely OK.But the best thing by far was the service. Thank you for the excellent service. (a very friendley girl from California, sorry i forgot your name)“
