“Food, service, atmosphere - 10 out of freaking 10. I write a food column for my local paper, grabbed a last min reservation for Gabriela's as I swung into town for date night. We live on a ranch about 20 min out so this is our "destination dinner" for date night. Everything was so well thought out from the glassware, atmosphere, specials to the arrangement of the dishes. I don't think you can go wrong (unless you have an underdeveloped palette where true and intense flavor leave you overwhelmed) Love the choice of cab for wine by the glass. Loved the glass even more. Can't wait to come back!“
“The staff is really friendly, drinks do not go dry.Food is fresh, a lot of it is from scratch - a lot of comfort food options. Lighting is well lit. Dining area is spacious, even when full.Buffet area is clean, well-maintained. Constantly restocked.Highly recommend the bread pudding and mashed potatoes!Worth the drive we made.Vegetarian options: Salad bar, some offerings (varied day to day) on the buffet line.Parking: Free parking lot with plenty of spots -- even when the building is full, you can find a parking spot.“
“Was in town for late anniversary. Wanted a nice meal. This place delivered. Service was excellent steaks were perfect. Atmosphere was nice and quiet, not many places left like this most are fast food types. See ya next time we in Rockport when we need a nice quiet meal. The drinks are the bomb also.“
“Wife and I were visiting Rockport and we decided to try Wild Prawn. We ordered the Stuffed Redfish and Fried Mahi Mahi. Both dishes came out ~35 min later and we were impressed by the quality and taste. For dessert we shared the deconstructed key lime pie, which was excellent. The owner, Chris, was friendly and chatted with us. Overall we enjoyed the food and will definitely come back the next time we are in Rockport.“
“10/5. Best seafood I have ever had and I've had plenty. Friendly staff, great chefs. We eat here more than once every time we vacation in the area. Scallops over risotto is great. My husband loves the seafood Mac & Cheese. Great ambiance.“
“Menu is great! Not just your average burger and fries! I included the specials menu in photos. We had the 'Big Tree Burger', the 'Goose Island' burger and for myself the 'Smokey Chedar Bacon Burger'. All were great. Especially great was the appetiser (yes we had this on top of burgers!) 'Tachos' tatertots done like nachos (photo included). We devoured those!Local and awesome. Place has been around for 25 or 30 years and survived hurricanes.Kid-friendliness: They have 2 pool tables and dont mind the kids gaving a game or two. Lots to look at. They also regularly have locally sponsored raffles for kids item (kids rifles, etc).“
“Delicious and HUGE portions. Any two ladies can split the shrimp plate or the fish fry....actually any meal. Server was very nice, I think her name was Brittany, she was patient and very attentive. Filled my Pepsi 4 times, I was thirsty and happy they had Pepsi products. Good job Pier 77.“
“Wonderful fresh seafood dining experience! Autumn provided amazing recommendations and great instructions on how to make the most of our feast! A very enjoyable experience! I highly recommend stopping by and taking in a little piece of excellence that Rock port Tx. Has to offer.“
“WOW! Absolutely amazing boudin. The best boudin I have had in 60 years! I have eaten every boudin imaginable and all over LA. From some places that are supposed to be the best in the world. But they are no comparison to what Brian makes.Oyster Po-Boy was delicious. Oysters were perfectly fried and not overdone. Shrimp basket was excellent.I made it a point to walk back over and give my compliments - and pick up another link of Boudin!I will see you again later this week! Keep up the great work.“
“One of the best restaurants in town! We always receive great service, very friendly staff, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly reccomend! We love their spicy mandarin wings, the Rooster sandwich, and kimchi fries the best. Soooo good!“
“With the sculpture out front and it being an art gallery we didn't expect to see paintings around the walls in the restaurant. Maybe we missed the gallery section. The food however was fantastic and this is a pokestop for any pokemon go players!“
“Damn good food and friendly service! I had the Shrimp po' Boy and hush puppies.Shrimp Po boy was loaded with everything. Shrimp was fresh and fried and good oil. You know the oil is good if the fried shrimp comes out a real light tan color... Hush Puppies weren't huge but big enough and they were tasty! I would definitely hit this food truck up again, its right next to Lulu's! Prices were fair and the portion was generous.“
“Great atmosphere and the best fajitas ever and the owner Mr. Pena is the best restaurant owner you could ever meet. I couldn’t give this restaurant enough stars! Thank you Mr. Peña and your servers for the great experience my family and myself had.“
“The overall customer experience was spot on. The entire staff were friendly, polite, professional, and every one of them had a smile. We took our own fish, and it was cooked to perfection. The drink selection was plentiful. Their dinner rolls are served hot and some of the best I have enjoyed.....especially after adding butter. The key lime pie is a must!!!! Everyone enjoyed their sides and if there is any suggestion to be given, it would be to include a baked potato to the menu.“
“Great atmosphere... the food was decent.. the service was okay.. the bus boys offered more customer service than the wait staff... but it was a busy night... the food took almost 2 hours for a parry of 10.. but overall the experience and atmosphere is enough to give it a second chance for that perfect score...will return...Parking: Parking is far..“
“Popped in for lunch with a group of 7. The wait time wasn't bad. We had to separate between a table and booth for the kids in our group. No worries, totally understandable as the place isn't very large, very much a while in the wall, mom and pop type of place. The staff was incredibly friendly and so very attentive. I believe Isai was our waiter? Amazing! Didn't even have to order the side of ranch for my fries or ask for extra tartar sauce, it's like he knew. I left feeling like a local and not someone vacationing for the weekend. The seafood platter I ordered was absolutely delicious. Perfect crunch, flavor, the oysters tasted fresh. The okra..I cannot express how amazing the okra was with just words. It was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. No slime. My only issue is that it wasn't breaded with cornmeal but I can definitely overlook that. The chicken tenders and onion rings my child ordered, she loved. My husband's French toast breakfast, also delicious. For what we received, I definitely expected to pay more. You definitely get more than what you pay for in quality and quantity. This will definitely be a restaurant I return to on future visits.“
“We came late and that's probably why our experience was less than stellar. Everything fried was excellent, boiled shrimp were great, stuffed flounder was cooked well but none of us cared for the taste. Crab dip was not hot (even though we were warned against touching the remekin) and tasted off. Soup and gumbo were good.Service was excellent. Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, checked on us often, and didn't forget anything.“
“Great seaside bar. Drinks were slow. Appetizers came after we finished drinks but we're worth the wait. Tortilla chips and crawfish dip were yummy. Peel and eat shrimp were extra large, fresh and wonderful.Parking: Tight when busy.“
