“Finally went and ate here and we were blown away by how good the food is. I highly recommend the weekend specials. We had the lamb kabobs (super tender and grilled perfectly) and the Dizi. The Dizi was a whole dining experience in itself. I’m so glad our server (the owners daughter) told us how to eat it because she was spot on. It was the best thing I’ve eaten in this town in years. We will definitely be back.”

“My husband and I were visiting Amarillo and Lubbock and didn’t taste African food for days. So we googled African food and ordered their grilled tilapia, okra and fufu . We also ordered their baked egg snack. Everything we ordered was just so delicious. I Wish I had googled them the very first day I arrived. I am lazy on making reviews but it won’t be fair not to make a review and share this with others who will be craving African food when they are in the Lubbock area.”

I was especially impressed with the onion rings. They were cooked to perfection and had a great crunch. Everything else served at our table looked just as good.

“Oh dang!! I ordered a lemon flavored Stitch inspired cake for my granddaughter`s birthday. It was delicious and decorated perfectly. The lemon was very subtle but definitely flavorful. I also ordered a dozen brownies and everyone said they were the best brownies they ever had... baked perfectly, thick, perfect chocolate taste, moist. I'll definitely be back as a repeat customer!”

“Wife and I walked in. Cool atmosphere with a familial feel. Mama had a calzone and I had the spag bol. Have to admit the calzone was pretty darn good. My pasta was a perfect al dente imo. Their marinara is smooth with a pleasant aftertaste. The bolognese was just ground sausage with marinara. Good but not bolognese. Should be pork and beef slow simmered with soffritto, wine, and gravy. A nice ragu with more meat than sauce and tossed with the pasta, yeah? I give them 4+ Make a true spag bol next time we visit, I'll give em a full 5. The paper plates reminded me of new york. Very nostalgic. We had fun so I tipped them $100 and departed. We'll be back soon.”

“Well, I would have posted a raving review about J&B Coffee until the barista wanted to approach me and my service dog group to tell us that they “don’t normally allow dogs in” the shop. There were 20-30 people talking with grinders & other machinery going in a loud “garage-like” acoustics in this concrete floored building when my dog tried communicating with me with a single Woof. It was not 30seconds before the skinny female barista made it over for her admonition. Well, I’m thinking she could use some ADA training before she gets the place into trouble. Her and her cat can live a happy life together.”

“Oh Olive Garden how I missed you. Been over a year since we've been here. Okay here we go...
Decided to have a late lunch early supper. Started with a very berry sangria, little sweet but a great flavor. Of course you have to have their endless salad(has always been good, even better when u dip your bread stick into the salad dressing. My wife had their featured item, spicy rigatoni pasta with sausage and peppers. Very tasty. I had cheese ravioli with a creamy mushroom sauce. Top with twenty cranks of fresh Parmesan, made my plate look like it snowed on it . Way to full to order dessert, maybe next time.
P.S. their lunch menu is very good and u can switch different sauces on your pasta without a hassle. Staff was very friendly.

It is one of those places that is always consistent, from the food all the way to the service! We always have the best service and the food is consistently great. “I wasn’t feeling too well this morning and in fact, I felt really bad about life.

So I decided to eat a healthy sub to help.

J. Kue was my guy. Not all heroes wear capes, and for J, this was certainly him. He was a blessing in disguise and hell - even had his hat off to the side. I thought this was the end.

By the time he turned around and started cutting bread it was all over. I’d started a laugh that I couldn’t control. He made beautiful food an experience I’ll never forget.

I returned back to my car and I couldn’t remember the last time I cried and laughed at the same time so hard like I did. In a world so dark, J was my light. I really needed you.

“The Monomyth in Lubbock Texas: Nowadays I find myself in the Yee-Haw part of the state. That means that the coffee can double as paint thinner, and the coffee shops are designed off of prisons. Recently however, I had the chance to see an Don Giovanni in Lubbock Texas, where the person who played Don Octavio stole the show. He did nothing to help, and sang beautifully. Remarkable. While in Lubbock for my crossover episode with all the old Wesley +Laureen, we went to the Monomyth, a Coffee Shop. No only was the shop not a prison, but the coffee didn't come with its own chemical code. While that is all well and good, it invites something different to fill the gap, hipsters, and hipsters they were. Styled beards, flannel shirts, flared mustaches, light leather boots, jeans, and man buns. I felt as if I was behind enemy lines and it was difficult to get my bearings, so that I could order. I'm not fluent in hipster, but I can hold a conversion, so I was confident in my ability to order. "Should I do drip or bar" "We have a single origin Honduras on Bar" which caused Don Octavio's eyes to shoot out lasers and him to rip off his shirt revealing the Honduran Flag tatted on his chest. At least that's how I imagine he felt. "Sounds good, I'll have a latte" He corrected me, "You'll have a cap" And a cappuccino I had, and he was right it is what I wanted. I just didn't know. A near perfect barista experience where they can size me up and correct my order based on what they know they have and what they think I want and be correct about it. As for the drink itself, the milk was over steamed with visible bubbles, and while their was foam art it would have benefited from a slower initial pour. However, the espresso did a hard carry. The sweetness melded with the sour to make a thoroughly enjoyable drink. If I were to go again I would get just the espresso, the milk only took away from what I can surmise to be the unyielding power of Honduras.”

They were pretty busy but my order was ready on time. I also love they support local fundraisers, it’s an easy way to give back to your community! Looking forward to trying more from their menu.”

“Y'all, this is our new go-to in Lubbock! We had a second to chat with Ben, the owner, after we finished our incredible dinner and then we loved it even more! The menu is so varied that everyone can find SOMETHING and the prices and portions are incredible! We had the egg and cheese grilled cheese, the club on a croissant, the chicken and waffles and a 1/2 beef, 1/2 mozzarella cheese Korean corn dog with potato, plus two spiral potatoes, and we could not have loved it more! The restaurant was clean and organized and he said he is even aware of what music he plays so as to be family friendly! This will absolutely be our new must have!”

“My only complaint about Jazz in Lubbock is - they're 100 miles away from Clovis, NM. I've been making the drive to Lubbock just for the crawfish etouffee for a number of years. When I walk through the door almost as soon as they open, they know where I'm going to sit and when I reach the table, my tea is already there, and I see a servers back as she's on her way to place my order. Generally, I'm by myself and get to spend time with the servers and the manager. Great folks, best crawfish etouffee outside of New Orleans.”

“Coming home from the DMV I decided to get a quick bite and chose Taco Villa. I got a #6, 2 crunchy beef tacos and a 32 oz root beer, my husband wanted 2 soft beef tacos. They gave me enough mild salsa so I could smother my tacos but they were SO good, a nice, thick slice of tomato and shredded cheddar, oh, yum! I order for delivery a lot and will add this store, can't wait to try a taco salad if they have it.”

“My son graduated highschool last night and we wanted to take him somewhere after the ceremony to celebrate him. He’s favorite restaurant is Sushi Namu so he wanted his family who hasn’t tried it to try it. Graduation started at 7pm, but by the time it was over and we took pictures we didn’t leave till almost 8:45. Sushi nami stops taking orders at 9:10pm and we didn’t all arrive till 9:00pm. Which I felt horrible about, but Even with a late arrival the moment we stepped in the door we were treated with superior customer service. They went above and beyond to not only take care of our graduate, but are whole party. Everything tasted amazing, with huge portions! Thank you so much from a super proud and appreciative momma!”
