“We went to this restaurant 2 weeks ago at the beginning of a family vacation and were blown away by the food quality, service, and atmosphere. Our server qas wonderful with our kids and we had a great time. Fast forward 2 days and I realized I was missing my credit card. I called the restaurant and they graciously OVERNIGHT Fed Ex'd my credit card to our next hotel with a handwritten note to the hotel about the situation. 10 out of 10 food AND customer service. If we ever make it back to New Braunfels we will return to this restaurant for sure!”

“What an adorable place with the most delicious, authentic German food we’ve ever had in the US. I had a lovely dry Riesling wine, pork weiner schnitzel with German potato salad & sauerkraut. It was a large portion & absolutely amazing. Hubby had veal weiner schnitzel & red cabbage. The veal was so tender. We loved it all & will definitely return next time we’re in New Braunfels. Make a reservation ahead of time. It’s cozy & quite popular. We didn’t have a reservation & it took about an hour to get a table, but it was really worth it!”

“I ordered the meatloaf meal with macaroni and okra. It was supurb! My daughter ordered chicken and dumplings . She said it reminded her of her grandmother’s dumplings. My other daughter order turkey and dressing. She. loved it! My little grandsons were happy with their chicken and waffles. The coffee has smooth flavor. I enjoyed my tea with the mint leaf.Oh the pancakes were fluffy and delicious! The gentleman who sat us at our table was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place to eat delicious food.”

“Interesting, varied menu and very tasty food (I particularly recommend the chicken tortilla soup). Our server was very friendly and was very careful to note down our daughter's multiple food allergies and work with the kitchen to advise us on what she could have, which was fantastic.

One niggle is that it would be great if there were more dairy-free options on the menu - one of my daughter's allergies is to milk and she felt that her choices were very limited.”

“Best pizza in New Braunfels. The supreme pizza was indeed supreme and their pepperoni pizza rolls are the best I have ever had. I called in an order and it was delivered hot and fresh within 25 minutes. Courteous staff. Will be going back for more!”

“Guy working today (Tuesday Sept 2nd 2025) was super cute and very efficient for working by himself (I think) got my order + took the order of the car on the other side then got my drink to me fast and it was delicious.”

“We tried out the new location and had a great experience. I loved the slow River caramel Praline 😍 and my Tequila River gloat with sprite. I will definitely come back to try more flavors and have something strong like the Slow River. I hope to see more strong flavors as I like to be able to taste it. “I was just swinging through town solo and stepped into the bar area to eat. I have been there a few times, and ALL the food is excellent. But usually when u sit in the bar area on a busy night (Friday) you are all but ignored. However, probably the best service I have ever had. Constant multiple waiters walking by asking for what you need, but not in that annoying way where you cant eat. Drinks were Johnny on the spot, everything out quickly. A most excellent establishment.”

“My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Myron's June 18, 2024. Our hostess Monica was wonderful. She was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our steaks were prepared to perfection. The wine complimented our meal. The atmosphere was very inviting. The food is worth every cent. I hope visit there again the next time we're in San Antonio. S. Sanders”

“I like the renovations. It was needed. The food and service were good. Our server was friendly and attentive. I found a coupon on the back of our HEB receipt and it worked out great. It took $10 off the bill which I used to tip our sever. It was a win win all around that day. The Gods looked down on me and said, though shall eat cheap today! And I did! We'll that's my review. “Only two people working today. There's no brisket on my brisket junior it's a hamburger patty. And I know that they do serve brisket at burger king because they serve it at a different burger king and it was delicious. And if they're out of the brisket they should say so and offer something else instead of just making you something else! Why isn't the manager that's supposed to be on duty here helping these poor people out? I'm late for my appointment with dialysis now and have to reschedule because of it 25 minutes to get our food. First we waited in the Drive-Thru and backed up and went inside the store because the drive-thru didn't move for at least 10 minutes or so before we gave up and went inside. People that are here working trying to keep up. It's the fault of the people who called in and the phone in the manager for not being here of course that's just my opinion... One star.. go to the burger king on 306 they serve the best food...

“I love taking my girls here. It’s always clean, the staff is friendly, and most of all they keep the kids area, very clean. They also have one big touchscreen table in the kids area, and two small touch screens on tables in the front lobby. I wish I made it easier for the children to reach it because my daughter always asked me out halfway on the table to be able to play the game, but other than that it’s really good place to take your kids

Kid-friendliness: This place is definitely kid friendly. It’s the only McDonald’s. I know of. In new Braunfels. That has a huge player area for the kids”

I couldn’t ask anyone at the counter because she walked away when I walked in and the 3 people who came in after me stood in line for a minute before giving up and going to the kiosk. Plus they’re rationing whipped cream on the frappes.”

“I've always seen comparisons between whataburger and in-and-out. I would definitely say it is a bigger patty at whataburger, the produce I would say seems a little fresher but I would still say I enjoy in-and-out more. Whataburger is still good though”

“Onion Rings they were bad today. I told the waitress can you go ask the chef why the batter has fallen off all these rings. She just laughed, she came back again I asked did you ask the chef, she said she can’t talk to him. I said why does he not speak English? She said know they are busy. I said he needs to know the are just oily onions. Never even said anything not even to her manager. Like it was something strange. After a $70 bill for two people no bar tab. It all should be good or at least I’m very disappointed. I did mention it to two other wait staff one male one female he said well probably just a bad day. I told I’m not mad but this is 3-5 on Saturday and I bet it’s gonna get busier, I just like somebody to report it to the chef or who is in charge to Se if something can be done about it or see what’s going if on. For the sake of other customers.”

“We went for our first time. We were the only ones in the restaurant and service was very poor. We waited over 15 minutes for our check while the owner sat at another table chatting with someone. Food was good however the menu needs improvements. The descriptions were very vague and it didnt seem like a menu for a mexican restaurant.. And I have never been to a mexican restaurant that doesnt serve chips and salsa.”

“Impressive would be an understatement to describe dinner last night at Huisache Grill in New Braunfels, TX. A family owned spot for 30 years in an old cabinet shop that is rustically decorated but comfortable. My daughter and I were seated and our server Melissa set us up with drinks while we looked over an interesting menu. It was difficult to decide BUT this place also offers some of the meat options as an add-on to their other plates. So if you want a chicken dish but crave some duck too…you can add duck as a side! I ordered the Huisache Chicken Tortilla soup and Mixed Grill while my daughter ordered from the Mix & Match Combo. Both entrees came with a side salad too. The Chicken Tortilla soup is something you would be remiss…the absolute best version of this soup I’ve ever had! The Mixed Grill had 2x beef medallions, blackened quail, skewered spicy shrimp, and poblano bacon wrapped chicken. I LOVED it all! The creamy horseradish sauce and Dijon/Merlot sauce a wonderful compliment for dipping and the sides of herbed baby potatoes and sautéed vegetable medley nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Mix & Match consisted of beef medallions and the Char-broil grilled duck breast along with green beans and herbed potatoes. Again, everything delicious and the duck was very good and the char didn’t overcook the duck. We tried their GF Apple Crisp…for purists of this dish it is a dramatic flip…but in a good way of this dish. One note…only wine and beer, no cocktails available. This place has excellent service and Melissa was a pleasure to work with, while the soft music and atmosphere is so relaxing.”

This policy is not listed anywhere and some of the employees were not even aware it was happening. It's a shady way of increasing profits if you do not want to order a full pound of meat. I've been in Texas all my life. No reputable place prices bbq like this. edit: This happened at the slaughter location. My mistake. but they told me it's a company wide policy so, doesn't matter.”

“This was our first time ordering with Art House Cakery. I live in Houston and placed my order online. The prompt communication and ease of ordering was greatly appreciated. I was able to pick up my order with no issues. I am so happy to have found a bakery with vegan options in New Braunfels. Our cake and cupcakes were so delicious! I highly recommend Art House Cakery for anyone looking for that extra attention to detail, special dietary options and/or professionalism that some big box/chain stores are lacking. This will be our go-to bakery for all of our future celebrations.”

I love the ice cream parlor vibe with vintage setting with the diner seats and stadium seats. Had my heart with the little table and chairs for the littles. We were pleasantly surprised! My husband and I have been longtime fans of Jersey Mike’s and moved to new Braunfels four years ago And before we had the option to go to this one, the other one, unfortunately Even though the food was great the experience was always horrible. This particular Jersey Mike’s not only has great Sandwiches, but the service is always welcoming and friendly. They seem happy to want to have customers which is something I think Jersey Mike’s should have. I’m grateful to have this one as an option to go to now. Keep up the good work you guys are great!”

The burger itself what delicious and was worth it. The food is very high quality and original.”

The food was hot, drinks were cold. Food arrived quickly. We had the Enchilada verdes plate and the super bowl, with a coupon for the mama ruth flauta plate. They were good, the shredded chicken was over salted but still edible. Our server, Brook, came to take our order quickly, when we ordered we asked for our drinks with no ice. She brought out mine correctly but my husbands had a full a glass of ice. She took it back and fixed it. While we were eating, she checked on us once after bringing out our food. When we asked for our bill, we asked for the military discount. When she brought out our bill, we handed her the gift card we had along with 20.00 cash to make up the difference. When she returned she brought out two 5 dollar bills. our change was supposed to be: $10.55. When we noticed it, we asked the other waitress in the area to ask her to come back to our table. When she was called to the table for us to explain about it the other waitress in the section was still there. When Brooke was told about the fact that we wanted the 55 cents, she took an attitude about us wanting our 55 cents. Saying: they want the 55 cents? while she was standing right in front of us. We should have called the manager at that moment. The way I feel is that she took the 55 cents. She should have given us the entire amount of change per our receipt, allowing us to choose tell her to keep it. As it was we were going to give her an 11.00 tip, once we discovered the change returned to us was not correct and she displayed an attitude, we changed the amount of tip to 1.55. We have talked to the manager about this issue as well. I used to work waiting on tables, I always give good tips, and I know the work is hard and sometimes you get bad customers, however: NEVER did I not give back the full change on the receipt. In my book that would have been considered stealing from the customer.”

I used to work waiting on tables, I always give good tips, and I know the work is hard and sometimes you get bad customers, however: NEVER did I not give back the full change on the receipt. In my book that would have been considered stealing from the customer.”

“After my last visit that was not the best, the owner Heather was apologetic and so gracious to ask me to give them another try. Glad I did! Today I had the Bacon Cheeseburger with Tater Tots and it was very good! The Burger was delicious, Tater Tots had some seasoning on them that made them extra flavorful, and the Sweet Tea is always Awesome there. Will definitely be back!!”

“We visited Naegelin's today while we were in New Braunfels. I used to live in NB (1959 to 1990) and grew up on their pastries. My brother was a baker their in 1960 and 1961, so there was always Naegelin's pastries to eat. Bear Claws were my absolute favorite. After 30 years, I couldn't wait! I ordered Bear Claws and 2 strudles, apple and cherry. I should have waited! The strudel was pretty good. the Bear Claws were very very disappointing. they lacked flavor and filling. The pastery used to be light and flakey. Not any longer, more like flat and tough. I hate to use the word "cardboard", but that kinda fits. Go for the Strudel, forget the Bear Claws. Childhood memories shattered again.”
