“At first I would see it when I would passed by on my way to SA and today me and my wife were like let’s try it and WOW we were shocked on how good it was. I got the cheese enchilada plate it was fire and my wife got mini tacos pastor and fajita and they were lit. Both plates had so much flavor do recommend if ur passing by and it’s a hidden gem“
“I love this restaurant!! We eat here every Saturday. Its a small restaurant but man their food is so good. I really hope they buy out the other restaurant we have here. They beat the other Mexican restaurant hands down!! It's no wonder why they are always packed!! Their Barbacoa all meat barely any grease omg!! “Stopped in here on our way from the coast to Austin. Loved it! Salsa was a bit different but delicious and the chips were crispy and fresh. Nachos were perfect - right amount of beans and cheese and a nice bowl of jalapeños. Puffy tacos and enchiladas were good (puffy tacos being the favorite). Finished with a sweet empanada. Restaurant was clean and very family oriented, restrooms were clean and well-stocked, and our server was fast and delightful. We'll stop again next beach trip.“
“The foor here is so good it's stupid. The staff is very busy most of the time, but they are still very friendly and just attentive enough. The GREEN SAUCE is sexy and it knows it.They say hunger is the best seasoning, but I say whatever they are putting on that chicken marinade is. The chicken is ALWAYS juicy and perfectly cooked. “Just moved in about 2 months ago into the area. Decided to find a new breakfast spot. The tacos were ready super fast when I called in my to go order before work. The lady who took my order over the phone was very nice. Also came into the restaurant for breakfast over the weekend with my husband. Ordered huevos rancheros and they were so good & so worth it! Definitely found the spot I will be coming back to!“
“This place is tucked away inside a little shopping Shopping center, but it's a hidden gem. The menudo during the week was amazing,was light, great flavor and good looking color. The Carne guisada had great Flavor tasted authentic nice chunks of meat. The color was nice and brown tortillas were very fluffy and soft. Reminded me of homemade Grandma's tortill and the staff was very nice. The facility is nice and clean and has great breakfast specials.“

“We were traveling through San Antonio and wanted some Mexican food that was close to the highway and was easy off/on. They had good ratings so thought we'd stop in. We grew up in Corpus so we knew the best Mexican food is usually the hole-in-the-wall places where the locals eat. I don't mean this to be racist but we were the only white people in the restaurant. I always say if you want good Mexican food eat where the Mexicans eat not the places full of gringos. LOL. I'm so glad we stopped. The food was outstanding. And the portions are huge. Our waitress was so nice. I would eat here anytime we are in the area.“

“Oh my goodness. This place is a beautiful restaurant with great food and great service. The food was amazingly delicious. I took 3 of my grown children and myself for lunch on Monday. It is very clean and the decor was beautiful. The food was excellentI had mini tacos of asada and it was served with borracho beans , avocado , cilantro , fresh diced onion and grilled onions. Two of my kids had chicken enchiladas with rice , beans , and a salad. The other had beef fajita quesadillas. The waitress was excellent. She brought chips and salsa. The salsa was a small 3 space dish with mild salsa , a hotter salsa , and an avocado salsa. All 3 were delicious. The chips were good too. The price was just right for dishes as theseWe also got flour tortillas. We drank tea and agua frescas ( jamaica and lemonade , and horchata). New family favorite restaurant!“
“Went to grab breakfast after a run and stopped by. We made a fantastic choice! Daniel’s Cafe was excellent. The food was so good and fresh. The service was excellent and prices were very affordable. My husband ordered the chorizo and egg plate, our son got the huevos rancheros and I had to try the lengua and tripa tacos as they are hard to find lately. OMG, everything was soooo delicious ?. The lengua was super tender and the best I’ve ever had, tripas were fresh and delish, the guys said the beans were super delicious as well as barcacoa and chorizo and eggs. The waitresses were so nice and kept coming back for refills but the overall experience was excellent. They play KLOVE(Christian music) and display spiritual messages. Love that♥️. “Best service at 6:00 AM I've seen in a long time. If I ever need uplifting, I'm coming here cause Paula made us feel welcome and loved! Paula was going outside writing down orders from the growing drive thru line. She greeted us happily and was careful taking our order. It's a small place but very efficient. Ordered huevos rancheras plate, very good! Assorted tacos, picadillo, bean & bacon, potato & egg, all tasty. Tortillas are just like Tia used to make.“
“Went to visit some family in Adkins. I wanted to eat barbacoa so my brother told me about Alamo molino. They have package specials. I bought breakfast barbacoa , salsa , flour and corn tortillas , pork skins , menudo , lemons , and of course big red. The people were very nice and even helped carry our big order to our vehicle. We didn't get tamales because my family was making tamales. We were told the food comes in from Alamo molino on commercial in San Antonio, my hometown. I knew exactly where , because I used to buy from there also. We made it back to my families home just in time to watch the ring of fire eclipse. Everybody ate and loved it. The store was very clean. I spent about $100 to feed 12 people“

“Doordashed for a taco lunch when in town. Some stars and some just ok but overall solid. Highlights:- Trash taco: seemed crazy but had to get it. Beans, guisada, bacon, egg, and cheese was a lot but it was quite delish. 4.5 stars- Chicken bicycle heaven: grilled chicken, long slice of bacon, avocado and cheese was great- Flour tortilla: homemade and a bit thicker I enjoyed. 4 stars- Grilled chicken tacos: tender and tasty and plentiful (ordered a chicken fajita taco without the onions and peppers to make it plain for my picky kid). 4 stars- Carne guisada: nephew liked the tender stewed meat. 4 stars- La costra: hub liked the fried cheese with the bacon and steak. 4 starsMidlights:- Migas: was excited for this mixed scrambled omelette style with peppers, but didn't have much flavor so was just ok.- Picadillo: didn't have ton of flavor and was bit dry. 3 stars- Chicken flautas: nephew's fiancée said they tasted like the frozen HEB version--but she does like those. 3 starsLowlights:- Corn tortillas: thought they would be better homemade version, but standard thin yellow shell.Good lunch overall and would return for the highlight items.“

“Close as it is, I have always passed up this place based on appearance. A little recent sprucing up on the exterior made me take notice. Don’t judge a book by its cover because the food is amazing. We had the Guisada plate and the Crispy taco and enchiladas plate. Excellent. I think the prices were a little higher than other restaurants, in the area, but it appeared they have some specials that may help with that. The food quality more than made up for what we paid, around $29 for two, including two teas and before tip.“
“The best barbacoa in the world PERIOD. It doesn't get any better than this. His menudo is on the same tier as his baracoa, and I was a person who wasn't a fan of any menudo before. I've been coming here for well over 10 years, give it a try, won't disappoint.“

Pick a Palapas Special taco or enjoy the tastey enchiladas with a side of amazing tender beef fajita!And to top it off with the waiter by the name of Luis! Tell him your order once and he'll say YESSIR and make it appear and fulfill your appetite. Luis and Las Palapas made our dinner a 20 out of 10 experience! Can't wait to come back. “After hearing about this place from a few people, I finally tried it out on a Saturday morning. There was no line waiting to be served but people showed up as I was leaving. I understand that it's quite busy on Sunday mornings. The service at the window was friendly and fast. I bought some barbacoa and tamales. The barbacoa was good but like most of the barbacoa I found lately, it doesn't quite hit the mark. Most of the barbacoa on the west side of town has an authentic flavor that's becoming increasingly hard to find. Don't get me wrong, this barbacoa is good and tasty, very "clean" and makes a great taco, but it just doesn't have the taste I look for. The tamales... it's getting harder to find good FULL tamales anymore. I tried them here and was disappointed. I would say that if it's not too far of a drive for you, try this place out and see what you think. It's definitely not bad, but it's not that authentic taste that I like.?“

“What a delight... Just arrived at Braunig RV Resort, South of San Antonio, TX, we looked to grab a quick dinner. As a nice surprise, just outside the resort there was this little food truck with some appealing Mexican tresure, Mi Ranchito Mini Tacos. We tried the Tacos Dorados and the Al Pastor Sincronisadas. Both were excellent, tasty and fresh. Nice people, wonderful food, very descent price, what to ask more for... Highly recommended.“
