“Food was great! The sauce just added to the meat but did not over power it. Brisket almost just did melted in the mouth. Great place. Going to bring some more friends over. cash only. I got the 4 meat plate and it was way more food then expected. Awesome value and food for the price. Forgot to take a before pic, so it's a pic of my half eaten plate. Opps“
“It is my first time in San Antonio and my family said I had to come here. Everything was delicious. I had the ribs combo platter. It was so good. I had a bite of the brisket grilled cheese. I am trying to figure out how to get that back to Orlando with me. The banana pudding was the perfect ending. Thank you for an awesome lunch.“

“Barbacoa was amazing. Service was amazing, great, family owned restaurant. They care about their customers. Barbacoa is not too fatty or greesy. Tortillas are fresh, and salsa has so much taste. They also give you chopped onions and cilantro, which the other rios don't.“

“Solid Pollos Asados. With some of the more famous places in town starting to slip in quality I decided to try this place close to home. The chicken was very good! Charro beans good though very salty. The rice is sadly sad. Just some rice boiled in Knorr. But I will still call this place my new go to for Char Chicken. Good job you guys. Staff was fine. Food came out quickly on a slow Sunday. Whole chicken, rice, beans, good fresh corn tortillas (probably from a local molino) a jalepeno, half a grilled onion (very good!) and two salsas. Ok you owe ma another red salsa! heehee. I got one red and one green but I should have got two reds. That stuff is great! Thanks you guys! all under 23 bucks.Parking: Small lot but still very doable.“

“A delicious treat! They are a staple of the South side, and I love every bit of their hospitality, great portions, and delicious food! I haven't been inside, but from the pictures, i can tell it's well kept. The nice man at the window is patient. It's always crowded here and it's always number one in BBQ for us! Thanks! We'll be back!“

“Skip the lines, wait, and mediocre fare at Pinkertons and get on over to Rusty Bucket. Everything is delicious, service is speedy and friendly, and the Texan local ambiance is genuine. So glad I found this spot! Easy to get to, the 90 to Cupples Rd north. Free parking!!!Parking: On location.“

“I took the wrong bus one night and ended up spending a few hours at this dive. They were understanding and let me charge my phone since I didn't have a portable charger and even bought me a couple of beers on the house. Before I had to catch the last bus on the line-up to head home I had a enlightening wonderful conversation with the head bartender who gave me a portable charger that was a life-saver! Thank you so much for your help, conversation, and the charger!“

“I ordered Ay Que Rico to cater my son's wedding rehearsal. It was a destination wedding so I blindly chose them off the internet. From Rocio who took the order and handled giving me all of the information to Rico and his staff cooking/setting up, it was a breeze. It was the BEST food I could have ever asked for! Huge portions and every single thing delicious. We served 100 guests and probably received 200 compliments. They could not stop talking about it.I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck! I cannot recommend them enough :)“
“The GTO Burger is legit. The burger itself is juicy and flavorful, and then you add brisket, sausage, and jalapenos. All of those things together make this fantastic. There are so many other burgers and sandwiches to try plus meat plates. Very reasonably priced.“

“Absolutely delicious!! Full of flavor and tender! Unfortunately they ran out of rice (was really looking forward to it) but they gave a pint of Mac and cheese in its place. Definitely worth the drive if you don't live on that side of San Antonio or even in the area. P.S. both plates easily fed two people with half of it saved for leftovers.“

“In my dimly lit setting at the 1604 food truck park, the photos might not capture the true glory, but let me tell you about this colossal potato masterpiece I snagged from the Brisket Boys. It was a behemoth, bursting with flavor. The brisket and sausage were a symphony of smoky perfection, truly setting a high bar for barbecue in San Antonio. Don't hesitate—swing by, grab some grub from the Brisket Boys, and immerse yourself in the vibrant ambiance with refreshing drinks and beats from a live DJ.“

“First time going there. Food was good. They had a sweet BBQ sauce that was not to my liking, when asked by server how everything is I mentioned that I did not like rhe sweet bbq sauce and she told me they also have a savory BBQ sauce and brought over a bottle. That savory BBQ sauce was more to my liking. Small place, single restrooms (one for men & one for women), great customer service, food gets an 8 out of 10 just because of the sauce. You can smell the BBQ cooking from blocks away, I didnt even need the GPS.“

“Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at L&L Hawaiian BBQ, located conveniently near Lackland. As aficionados of Hawaiian cuisine, particularly my son, our expectations were high, and I'm delighted to say they were not just met but exceeded. We opted for the chicken combo meal and the barbecue chicken meal, complemented by a side of lumpia. Each dish was a testament to the authentic flavors of Hawaii. The lumpia was crispy and flavorful, serving as a perfect appetizer to the main courses. The barbecue chicken, with its savory and slightly sweet glaze, was very good, offering a taste of the islands that was both comforting and exotic. However, the star of the meal for me was, without a doubt, the Mac salad. Achieving the perfect balance in a Mac salad is no small feat, yet L&L Hawaiian BBQ did it with apparent ease. It was creamy, perfectly seasoned, and utterly delightful, making it my favorite part of the meal. The ambiance of L&L Hawaiian BBQ added to our dining experience, offering a slice of Hawaii right here by Lackland. The warmth and hospitality of the staff further enriched our visit, making us feel welcomed and valued.“
