“My first time and it Blew my mind. I had the chicken noodle soup and it did not disappoint me. The drinks were delicious. The customer service was great! Our waiter’s name was Iris! Big shout out to Iris! We had a large group and she was simply amazing. She is a true asset to your restaurant!“
“edemame dumplings weren't as good as the last times I've had them but True Food is still my favourite restaurant.the flourless cake was good, as always, and I highly recommend the matcha horchata. during the winter, the butternut squash pizza is #1 (and I think it is even better with the gluten free crust).“
“I had the fried fish sandwich on this visit, and it was amazing! My favorite is the shrimp and grits. It's the best I've had in a very long time. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is very nice. Don't just take my word for it, stop by and check it out for yourself.“
“Absolutely amazing experience! I almost never write reviews, but this place was so incredible that I had to this time.We went on a Friday night and did the 7-course tasting menu and drink pairing at the chef's counter. I'm sure it's not part of the experience every time, but it actually turned into about a 9-course tasting because they served some extras not on the menu that they were excited to share. Every aspect was incredible.Starting off, before we even arrived, with personalized contact from Brian to ensure that they knew everything from our names, if it was special occasion, dietary restrictions, etc. It was clear they wanted to make sure it was a special experience for us before we even stepped foot in the restaurant. On arrival the environment was incredible and the whole staff was friendly and consistently went out of their way to make the evening memorable. The food was, of course, incredible. But even more enjoyable was the detailed explanation of both the food we were being served and the wine choices for pairing. We learned a lot about how they prepared the food, where the ingredients were locally sourced from, etc. Not only was it informative, but their true passion for the quality of what they were serving really shined through.Just as top notch as the food, the service was incredible. They were true professionals that knew exactly how to strike the balance between being highly attentive without interfering with our date. The pacing of the servings was absolutely spot on. We neither had to wait between courses nor had courses stacking up. Everything was executed flawlessly.Hands down the best dining experience I've ever had. Great food, great environment, and absolutely exceptional service. We will be back for sure and will enthusiastically recommend it to anyone seeking a top-notch dining experience. Extremely well done!“
“Shout out to Jordan G. He took my large order. A side & kids meal got omitted. Went back the next day. It was SUPER BUSY but he was very courteous and quickly made the items. For some reason their mac & cheese has never been on point. Most other dishes are very good. Staff are friendly. Go when it's not busy.“
“I had Yasmine cater my son’s pre wedding party. I live 2 1/2 hours from DC so I depended on someone that could really tell me what I needed. Working with Yasmine was phenomenal! Most importantly, the food was out of this world. Even after the wedding, which was awesome, people were coming up to me talking about how good the food was. My only regret is that I didn’t take home any leftovers!!!! That just means, I’ll have to make a visit to DC to get some!!!! Thank you Caro, Jimmy and staff. You are much appreciated.“
“This is great for a quick lunch or dinner. There is good variety and great flavors. We were a party of 5 and all ordered different variations. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. This is elevated grilled cheese for adults but lets the kids order something simple. Win win.“
“Embarrassed to say I tried gumbo for the first time ever, but I'm glad to say that it was at Puddin'. Very flavorful, very fresh and very filling. The service was immaculate. The server was able to make recommendations and easily talked me into trying the Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Pudding. It was so worth it!“
“Ok. Hear me out. Who goes out to eat for a salad? I mean with so many things on the menu, why would you? Because... The Ted Cobb is that delicious. I've had it twice in a week. I can't believe that I've waited so long to try this place, but I'll definitely be back... Oh, and the chocolate peanut butter creme pies are simply wonderful. My husband likes his chilled. I like them at room temperature. However, I digressed. Go, enjoy the amazing service team, the amazing management team, and the great food.“
“we went to the Vegas location and how Gordon Ramsay can put his name to the crap this place serves up is beyond belief. the batter is way to thick and over cooked and the highlight should not be the Dijon mayonnaise that comes with the food. terrible food and a waste of $39“
“Surprisingly good and filling with a variety of flavors, I would visit again. A little awkward as a first time customer, I chose the crunchy kimchi off the chart. Sparse eating space, so taking advantage of the sun we took our meals to go and ate down the block at the Temperance Fountain.“
“I always rely on True Food for its delicious yet healthy food options. We just had lunch there and loved the ambiance - the combination of wood tones and greenery created a relaxing and comfortable feel. The staff member who greeted us was welcoming and friendly, and our server provided attentive and speedy service. Our food arrived within minutes of placing our order. The food was exceptional, especially the edamame dumplings appetizer. They were perfectly seasoned with soy sauce, dashi, white truffle oil, and herbs. The True Blue Grass-Fed Burger was also a great choice. The Peruvian pepper sauce added a pleasant kick to the burger, while the caramelized onions provided a sweet contrast to the blue cheese. The Korean Noodle Bowl was similar to Japchae, made with sweet potato noodles and veggies. However, it had a subtle citrusy flavor with garlic. Our drinks, Kale Aid with Greek yogurt and Bright Eyes, were both healthy and delicious. Their vibrant colors made them a feast for the eyes.I'm looking forward to revisiting True Food soon to try some of their other tasty and healthy options.“
“A friend highly recommended ZAO Stamina in Bethesda, and since it's so close to Rockville I had to check it out . Their branding and social media is definitely on point, plus they offer some unique weekend specialty ramen as well ! Zao prides itself with their handmade inhouse ramen noodles, skinny and curly varieties, and their authentic broths with modern spins. For the appetizers /drinks we got: Tori Kara-Age Mini Chashu Don Umeshu Japanese Plum Wine For the ramen we got: Gekikara Tonkotsu Old School Shoyu Mazesoba The Tori Kara-Age was some nice tender bites, and the chashu don rice bowl was savory and sweet ! The Gekikara Tonkotsu was the SECOND most spiciest ramen on the menu, and it was pretty intense , tasty broth but it had a BOLD spicy KICK . The Ramen broth in general is more on the oilier side, which if that's your preferred style, then it works well! My Old School Shoyu was tasty, but I think the broth could've had a bit more flavor/saltiness to it. Besides the basic toppings listed in the description, you can add extra toppings from their menu for additional costs, but this can make your ramen end up being pretty pricey. Definitely want to come back and check out their weekend specials, as well as their skinny ramen noodles.“
“What a wonderful find, with super-helpful service! Yes, you can get gravy & biscuits if you're a traditionalist, but if (like me) you're not so inclined they offer a wide variety of options from savory to sweet to salads (even a kids' menu). My new fav is The Goodness Gracious, a tower of delciousness built on pulled pork and homemade BBQ.“
“My wife and I visited the Bethesda location. Our server was extremely helpful and kind. She explained basically they only cook with good oils. Everything is fresh and organic. The terminology today is clean food. My wife ordered a gin and pineapple martini and it was delicious.! They have an open kitchen concept and the cooks bring the food right to you after they prepare it! Which I thought was a great touch and would answer any questions you might have. I ordered the OG burger medium and it came out perfect so juicy and flavorful the grilled onions on the burger were fantastic and it came with a side of roasted baby red potatoes that were. Delicious. My wife ordered a salad with fresh grilled salmon and the salmon was prepared just the way she liked it not pink in the center and not overly done. Definitely a great concept and the food was extremely tasty. I would highly recommend it. They also have outside seating for a pretty spring evening.“
“Festive meal with friends at Ted's Bulletin. This restaurant does not pretend to be high-sophistication food, but everything we ordered was plentiful and flavorful. This ranged from breakfast food to burgers to carrot cake and milk shakes. For a fun restaurant with tasty food and no pretense, highly recommend.“
“If you’re seeking a dining experience that blends impeccable service, exquisite cuisine, and a dash of Southern charm, look no further than Ms. Toya’s Creole Seafood in Silver Spring. From the moment we stepped into Ms. Toya's, it was clear that we were in for a treat. Our server, Felicia, went above and beyond to ensure that my husband's 60th birthday celebration was nothing short of extraordinary. The table was adorned with charming birthday decorations, setting the stage for a memorable evening.Felicia's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she patiently guided us through our selections, making recommendations and explaining each dish with enthusiasm. The whole red snapper fish, cooked to perfection, stole the show. Paired with broccoli and asparagus, it was a symphony of flavors that left us craving more. My husband's gumbo was rich and flavorful, while the bayou and surf 'n turf rolls were a delightful addition to our meal. After dinner, Felicia surprised us with warm beignets and vanilla ice cream, accompanied by a heartfelt rendition of "Happy Birthday." Her warmth and charm truly elevated our dining experience. If I may offer one suggestion, it would be to consider providing wet naps or warm towels along with a bib for messier dishes like the gumbo. Despite my husband's best efforts to avoid spills, it was a humorous moment that added to the charm of the evening. In summary, Ms. Toya's Creole Seafood exceeded our expectations in every way. With impeccable service, delicious cuisine, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's a dining destination we'll be returning to again and again.Parking: Convenient parking is always a plus, and Ms. Toya's Creole Seafood doesn't disappoint in that department either. We parked in Town Square Garage, the large parking lot across the street, with its multiple levels and clear signage indicating available spaces, ensures a hassle-free experience from the moment you arrive. Using the ParkMobile app to pay for parking adds to the convenience, allowing you to focus on enjoying your dining experience without worrying about parking meters or finding spare change. Plus, the well-lit surroundings and ample signage make navigating the parking lot a breeze, ensuring a stress-free start to your evening at Ms. Toya's.mKid-friendliness: While Ms. Toya's Creole Seafood may not be the ideal spot for children with shorter attention spans, it certainly caters to adults seeking a relaxed dining experience with excellent food and drinks. The atmosphere is more suited for adults looking to unwind and enjoy their meal without distractions. However, they do provide high chairs and have a friendly staff willing to accommodate families with young children. So, if you're in the mood for fantastic food and drinks and can keep your little one entertained, Ms. Toya's is still a great option.“
“My first taste of East coast soul food and I must say it was delicious. Family business and I have been adopted into the family. I feel safe my baby bison has Uncle James, Mama Charlene and Aunty Nikki across the street from the School of Business at Howard University.“
“Eden's Kitchen felt like a childhood invite to a friend's house for dinner. The food was fresh, well balanced, simple, yet delicious. This cozy restaurant has a great outdoor space and homey vibes. We ordered the beef with collard greens and lamb spris with injera. The lamb cooked with fresh tomatoes and both came with a mini side salad. Injera was authentic in texture but I personally would've preferred a little more tang to the flavor.Next time we'll probably order a veggie sampler with our meat dishes. We came at 4:30pm on Friday with no reservation. Parking can be done on the street around the corner.“
“Great local bar with friendly staff. We stopped in when we were visiting because they play the Bills games. We only had drinks but they did serve some delicious looking chicken wings that everyone was eating during the game. I enjoyed some local made craft seltzer. Stop by for a drink if you are in the area.“
“I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere. We went in on a Saturday evening looking for something to eat late. While it was crowded and we didn't have a reservation, we were still accommodated and the food was excellent. We had the crab Fried Rice, Oysters and some other appetizers and cocktails and it was all excellent including the service. The atmosphere is a total Vibe. The music was great. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day for brunch. The brunch menu was a tad bit different but great options. I had the crab cake Benedict and we had a peach cobbler bread pudding it was SO Good. The chef is superb?? his name was Sam I believe, he even came out and greeted us the night before. It was Sunday, Mimosas, a live DJ the music was my kind of flow, good food and again good vibes. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. If you are in DC, this is definitely a spot to check out. It is black owned, and I know it will be my spot every time I visit.Vegetarian options: The vegan egg rolls were delicious they had several other options as well I didn't feel left out.Dietary restrictions: My friend has a cheese allergy is sprinkled on the Oysters but it wasn't indicated on the menu. Things like fish, dairy etc common food allergies should be listed on menu items. But the menu is great I must addParking: We walked from our hotel. There is an Omni Hotel right across the street. All I saw was street parking which was full not sure if it offers any other parking accommodations“
“I love the herbivore bowl. Delicious, healthy, great price. The herbivore bowl, is as you might imagine, a vegan dish - and as a vegan customer, I believe any restaurant only needs to have one good vegan dish to keep me coming back repeatedly. You can also customize your bowls, but it's nice to have this one that is well thought out and easy to order. Location is convenient, picking up to-go food was easy and quick as well.“
“Went here with my dad for the mixology class, got paired with the most amazing bartender there, I didn’t catch his name but 10/10 service everyone there was very attentive and nice. I would recommend this place to everyone. We didn’t eat there since we only wanted drinks but the food smelled amazing and I didn’t see anyone leaving food on the plate. My dad and I would come again.“
“I’ve been seeing this restaurant for years and we finally tried it recently. We really were missing out!! Every single item of food that we ordered was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful and they were so kind and patient with our toddler. They have a great coloring sheet option for kids with crayons and she was distracted for big chunk of time, which was great for us. I really do love it when a restaurant thinks about their younger customers. Really appreciated that. The atmosphere is great and felt very cozy and welcoming. Not too loud, not too quiet — just right. Seating was ample and there was no wait since we were there on a weekday for dinner. We’ll definitely be back soon!“
“I went here twice since it was super close to where I was staying for my work trip. I ordered for pick-up, and the staff has been really kind both times. I ordered the bowl both times but tried the bulgogi and spicy pork. Both of these options were delicious and well seasoned. I'm not used to a Korean dish prepared like a poke bowl, but it was the best I had in the area. I'm giving it a 4 just because it doesn't fully match up to my favorite Korean spots, but it's a decent spot for grabbing Korean food on the go!“
“I had recently ordered food for my daughter’s Annaprasanna ceremony from @Chat & More ( the veg thali) and we were truly satisfied due to their excellent food and service. My family and guests kept on praising the food quality, taste and quantity served. Each item on the plate comprising : ‘ Shahi Paneer, Samosa, jeera rice, choley, puris, gulab jamun’ were loved by the kids and the adults. Each and every food item was yummy!! Thankuuuuu team for making our special day, truly special. We will keep ordering, visiting and referring you to our friends and family members.“
“The epitome of excellence, from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, everything is executed to perfection. The staff is lovely and warm, the food is stellar, and the ambiance is unbeatable. Everything make you feel warm and at home. We had the squash salad, mac and cheese, and for entrees chose the smash burger and steak frites.“
“After dinner in Mosaic District, my I Do Crew went to Ted's Bulletin for drinks and dessert. Our party occupied 5 seats at the bar. Our bartender Omar S. was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and made delicious drinks. My friends enjoyed the Cherry Old Fashioned, The Back Nine, Garden Party, and Peachy Keen. I enjoyed two gin-based cocktails: Botanical Garden and Violet Queen cocktails. Both cocktails were floral and quite strong. We shared the Cherry Blossom Tres Leches, which was not as pictured on the website but tasted delicious. We couldn't finish it, so I took it home. Before we left, another girl bought us a round of Green Tea shot to celebrate my bachelorette. I liked how the Green Tea shot was made with Jameson Whiskey, Peach Schnapps, Lime Juice, and Simple Syrup!“
“This is a great place to eat!!! The food is delicious, the servings generous and the service phenomenal!! I had a bowl with noodles and purple rice, for protein I picked beef (bulgogi); for toppings: corn, cucumbers, kimchi, scallions, carrots and cilantro plus Cilantro-Ranch dressing; also sesame seeds and roasted garlic......I could say this is heaven! But it wouldn't do it justice. My favorite meal for now on“
“Very happy to have discovered this local spot. Grand Duchess mixes funky and intimate bar vibes in a quasi elegant way, and the bartenders are always kind and friendly, add knowledgeable too. Great for friend hangs, a date night, or just to enjoy a beer solo!“
“I’ve been here twice and it’s a great little shop. I have never preordered but that has not been a problem. Keep in mind that their products in store are kept frozen. For the savory pies they will reheat them for you in store or you can take them home and microwave or oven reheat. They still taste amazing, flaky crust and good flavors. My favorite is the steak and stout. The sweet pies are also really good! They currently have a monumental cherry pie (cherry, cream layer, and chocolate) and the salted caramel apple are my favorites! There is outdoor seating which I’m sure would be really nice in warmer months. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!“
“Delicious sooooo delicious. The ribs in my opinion are award winning in itself. I have tried the St. Louis and baby back ribs. Both were great but the St. Louis ribs were amazing! I prefer the devils ray BBQ sauce on the side. It is little spicy just a lil kick to it.“
“Sometimes the best meals can be found in an industrial park in Beltsville. I also learned that this restaurant offers a Nigerian twist on shawarma. This meal consisted of the mouthwatering supreme shawarma with a side of fried sweet potatoes“
“Very welcoming from hostess to server. Attentive service. A solid local Italian restaurant. My husband loved his shrimp scampi and lasagna and my tortellini in panna was quite good. We would come back for a very enjoyable evening. Prices are very good and ambiance very comfortable.“
“Cute place, loved the decor and all of the lights. the atmosphere was great and the bartenders were super nice. we sat at the bar and they made sure to ask your name and gave you theirs. checked in often and made sure we thought everything was good. there were a ton of options for food which was great, especially for picky eaters! the only negative I would say is it is a small place. obviously the size is out of the restaurants control but it made the space feel a little tight. I would definitely go again and recommend for anyone in the area who wants something simple and good!“
“Looking for an Asian restaurant close by our hotel (The Westin Washington DC) and we were pleasantly surprised to find a Filipino restaurant only 3 mins walking distance. We had shrimp palabok, lumpia Shanghai, and lechon kawali. Everything was delicious and at a good price! Mom says we don’t have to find Jollibee in the area, Pogiboy is so much better!“
“Dropped by for dinner, and it was just a short walk from the Ritz. The food was ok, and the service was spotty. The place was pretty busy with hotel guests. The decor was nice and the lounge was posh. Good to see people out enjoying themselves.“
“I love the ghost kitchen style. My burrito was a little expensive but I expect to pay more for quality ingredients. I wasn't let down I had yokey eggs, fresh vegetables, and everything was fresh and hot off the grill. I've eaten a lot of burritos and the real deal from Cali and Texas. Nothing will be that good but it is on top for an excellent quality burrito.“
“Great potential for the falafel platter, with some missteps that keep it from being five stars.First, the good:- sauces were excellent (toum, shut)- dips were great (hummus, labneh, and a chickpea stew)- bread (shrak) was great- fries were great (served with cilantro)- onion/parsley garnish was very good but needed to be more of it- falafel was good- salata was pretty goodHere’s what can be improved:- the Persian style grilled tomato and grilled onion make no sense as a side for a falafel platter… it should either be served with tabbouleh or chopped raw tomatoes and onion, either of which add freshness and cut through the heavy sauces- speaking of tabbouleh, it was supposed to come with some but didn’t- the fries, falafel and chickpea stew were a little too salty- personal preference: I don’t like pickled beets in general very much, I didn’t like these pickled beets in particular very much, and I strongly feel that pickled cucumbers are superior on a falafelThe good parts about the platter were great. But, the actual falafel wrap was a little off, because it lacked fresh veggies. The sauce, the bread will keep me coming back, but I hope the owners take note of this feedbackVegetarian options: Falafel platter seems to be vegetarian friendly“
“Ordered a bowl of garlic butter parmesan lomein noodles with pork - garlic butter Parmesan itself bring some surprise element to a Chinese dish. It was enjoyable and filling! Love to see some fusion and it didn't over empowering the lomein noodles. I'd love to try other flavor to see how it turns out. The price wasn't so bad for amount of noodles and meat in a bowl! Service was quick and friendly as the cashier was very welcoming as we were deciding on which dish. The Block itself was packed with people and good vibes as they were here to socialize and grab a quick bite or a quick refreshing drink.“
“Just a donut review. Lots of unique varieties to choose from. All but one seemed fresh and delicious-could they actually be a day old? The cherry blossom was excellent and fresh. Service friendly but there's not much to taking an order and handing it over . Small place by Whole Foods- plenty of parking. They have breakfast sandwiches and fried chicken- have to try that at some point. $24/6 donuts. Mostly worth it for a special occasion!“
“Case in point, never judge a book by its’ cover. DC is filled with nondescript brick buildings and you could easily walk by Firefly, but don’t. Make a reservation for brunch at this extremely well run and delicious neighborhood restaurant.“
“On the bustling main street of Old Town, Pho Nam stands as a culinary beacon, guiding food lovers through the vibrant streets of Vietnam. Stepping into Pho Nam is like stepping into a Vietnamese market, with the aromas of fresh herbs, simmering broths, and grilled meats filling the air, promising an authentic journey for your taste buds. Our adventure kicked off with the Ca Phe Sua Da, the signature Vietnamese coffee that could wake the dead (or at least make them wish they had another shot at being alive to enjoy it). This potent brew, sweetened with condensed milk, is the perfect start to an epic culinary journey, setting the tone for the feast to come. The Fresh Garden Rolls and Vietnamese Egg Rolls were like the opening act at a rock concert, setting the stage and getting the crowd going. These rolls were so fresh, they could have come straight from the garden and the fryer, ready to rock your palate with their crisp and vibrant flavors. The Banh Mi Dac Biet was next, a classic house special sandwich that's a veritable United Nations of flavors, nestled within a crisp baguette. With headcheese, Vietnamese ham, French-style pate, and a slather of house mayo, this sandwich is a masterclass in simplicity, balance and finesse, garnished with pickled carrot and radish, green onion, cilantro, and just the right hit of jalapeno to keep things interesting. The Pho Bo (traditional beef noodle soup) and Pho Ga (chicken variation) were like big, warm hugs in a bowl. The beef pho was so authentic, it felt like a culinary postcard from Saigon, with its rich, aromatic broth and tender slices of beef, singing with the flavors of Vietnam. The chicken pho offered a comforting embrace, its clear, flavorful broth and tender chicken telling a story of simplicity and soulfulness, a testament to the comforting power of a good chicken soup. Not to be outdone, the Bun Thit Nuong (grilled lemongrass pork on rice vermicelli) was like the summer hit you can't get out of your head, with its smoky, savory pork and light, refreshing vermicelli making for a perfect harmony of flavors. The Com Suon Nuong (grilled pork chop on steamed rice) was a great complement to round out the ensemble. A dish so satisfying, with its perfectly grilled pork chop and fluffy steamed rice proving that sometimes, the simplest things in life are also the most delightful.Pho Nam is more than just a restaurant; it's a ticket to Vietnam, offering an authentic taste of its rich culinary heritage. From the vibrant flavors of its dishes to the warmth of its service, Pho Nam is a gem in the DC metro area, a place where every meal is a celebration of Vietnamese culture. So, if you're craving an adventure that's both delicious and authentic, look no further than Pho Nam. It's a pho-nomenal experience that's sure to satisfy your wanderlust and your appetite, one slurp at a time.“
“It’s official. SEOULSPICE is our kpop dance team’s new post-practice eating spot. It’s decorated so cutely inside and the food was great! We were served by Destiny, who treated us with the warmest energy and like we were best friends. Cannot recommend this location enough. Will 1000% be going back ASAP!“
