“Dinner at Glass Light was a spectacular, memorable experience. The food was all delicious, expertly prepared, and the menu was creative enough to be interesting, but familiar enough not to be intimidating. Service was awesome, delivered by a delightful, friendly professional waitress that knew the dishes well enough to give clear descriptions and personal recommendations. On top of all that, the surrounding glass artwork provided us with a beautiful and interesting environment. We will go back with friends to share the experience.”
“Had the chance to swing by and try this place. My mind was blown by the quality of food, the atmosphere and the friendly staff! The food was very well crafted and was perfect! The tarte to say the least was mouth watering, the trout was delectable, and the shrimp was mind blowing. Will definitely frequent here!”
“I’ve eaten here now 5 times. Gone for an evening date, family gathering of 8, and a regular dinner for 4 out and about in town. They can accommodate anything. The food is excellent, creative and unique. Staff is nice and helpful, and hardworking. This is a staple for me. Parking on the street hasn’t been a problem but also garages are available or uber if you are enjoying the neat drink menu.”

“Stopped in the Town Center VA beach location on my way back home from being here out of town. The food was fantastic and the service was top notch! Highly recommend stopping by to eat here. I had the brunch crepe for breakfast and the French press coffee…both of them were amazing!”
“We tried the Kempsville Road Punjabi Rasoi today as we learned they have recently opened at noon on Sunday (we are part of the after church crowd). Both my husband and I have lived in London (we met there). This restaurant today *was* our London experience with Indian food, something we never thought we would find in the States. Short of going to Mumbai itself, it does not get more authentic than this. Thank you, Punjabi Rasoi!”

“After a show at the Naro Theater we walked over to the No Frill Bar and Grill for a late lunch. Four in our party, we had the Famous Meatloaf platter, Teriyaki Tuna pita, French dip, and Funky Chicken sandwich. The food is truly exceptional, everyone raved about their choice. My wife said the house made mushroom soup was the best she ever had. I also had a 'martini' with gin, lemon, St. Germaine, and topped with Sauvignon Blanc. To DIE For! This will be a go-to for us from now on!”
“We stopped in at the Norfolk Biscuit Belly for brunch today! The staff are super friendly and the comfort food enjoyable! We met Andrew & his co worker outside on our way in and asked for their recommendations, they both said the CHICK 'N DITCH THE WAFFLE & THE ROCKWELL plus recommend the home fries! We decided to order all 3 and they were yummy! Hubs actually got the Rockwell supreme which includes an egg and bacon, a must! We also had a strawberry mimosa and tequila sunrise which were good. We signed up for the Belly Bucks rewards program and look forward to the free Bonuts on our next visit. I hope what we spent today gets added to our rewards balance!”
“This place is a blast with alot of energy. There's a room for every type of vibe you might be feeling. 10/10”
“We were in town for the night and a friend told us a out this place. OH MY I am so glad we went. Its a plate of big flavor. My husband had the chicken I had the filet..We talked to the chef after, very impressed and alot of experience under his belt. Wow is all I can say. We wish this place the best of luck”
“Went there for a late dinner last Saturday during my family’s visit to Va Beach and loved it. The owner was very friendly and showed us how the self-pour worked and how to order food. The beer selection was plentiful and it was nice that there were wine choices (including sangria) for the non-beer drinkers in our party.
My BYO Burger, my wife’s chicken sandwich, my son’s Smokehouse Burger and Buffalo Chicken Dip were great!
The atmosphere was chill and being on the roof was perfect with the great weather of Labor Day weekend.”

“A grateful thank you from the Hunger and Pena families for a memorable intimate wedding for our two children. Malia McGee, owner of 411 York Boutique Inn and Restaurant, made a special day even more special! Set in the beautiful courtyard nestled between the inn and restaurant, Matthew and Eliana celebrated their lives becoming one with family and friends. It was truly amazing witnessing how much Malia pours her heart into this lovely treasure! With Malia by our side, this whirlwind wedding came together in just 10 days. Her love for what she does - combined with her amazing customer care - made our small ceremony feel romantic, heartfelt, and truly magical. To complete the wedding couple’s enchanted night, Malia suggested the Magnolia Suite at the 411 York Inn, an 1890’s Victorian she restored with some modern-day conveniences like the luxurious bathroom while honoring the genuine warmth and charm of the 19th Century Era. Thank you for going above and beyond and helping us create lasting memories! Keith and Maria Hunger”

“Omg where do I start!!! Me and my wife came Friday the 16th!! We didn’t have a reservation and I promise you I suggest making one especially on I house guess the weekend. We decided to sit at the bar instead of a window seat I also let the host know if someone cancels or if a Hi top come available please let us know. After 2 cocktails in which was amazing we got lucky got a seat! All you could see was the kitchen door flying open lol as the waitresses was bringing dishes I mean we only do fine dining when we eat out but I honestly wasn’t expecting something at this caliber seriously, you know we eat alot of places and sometimes the food just doesn’t be seasoned the way you expected especially if its plated nicely. Because it’s true we eat with our eyes first! But let me tell you!!! Goddd KISS THE CHEF!! The Owner, Owners whoever lol because every aspect was on point from service to atmosphere it really was unbelievable! I felt like I was in a major city!! Miami especially because I’ve had the oxtail lasagna there so I advised my wife to get that and I got the 37oz Tomahawk for 2 top with crab meat lol I love a good steak seriously. We didn’t get any appetizers because I wanted to save my appetite and my mental was in my pocket lol if you know what I mean but a $100 for a tomahawk with roasted potatoes it was no way I wasn’t gonna have that for dinner and some left for breakfast with cheese eggs in the morning lol Now when my steak came out! I ordered medium in which I expected to see pink because medium requires pink and who orders a well done steak anyway??? I mean it was cooked and seasoned to perfection with roasted potatoes and onions OMG I’M GOING BACK THERE!! Soon!! I taste my wife oxtail lasagna because she just kept saying how much better it tasted here lol so I did and she wasn’t exaggerating I mean the pasta sauce was sweet with garlic Omg how did they make a sauce that good and it had tomato chunks in it not the big crazy chunks but just perfect everything was PERFECT THIS PLACE DESERVES A MICHELIN⭐️ if thats possible in this area Ive ate in numerous countries because of my military background but this place is one for the books!!”
“We came upon this hidden gem when visiting Chelsea Bakehouse last week. We passed by this quaint house with a lovely garden and noticed people sitting out in the garden. Out front there was a sign about wine tasting and Turkish Breakfast on sat and sun mornings…we were intrigued. So we planned to go the following Saturday. Walked in and there was a beautifully decorated “in house”dining area. Very intimate. We opted to sit in the garden since the weather was perfect. Jason who was our server (come to find out part owner as well) was so welcoming and friendly. He chatted about the menu as well as the house and gardens. It was like talking with an old friend. The first course of three came out. It’s only $25 per person and you can order extras from course 1 and 2. My whole party eats a plant based diet so we were delighted that all the dishes are vegetarian. Everything was delicious! We wanted to dig in right away and forgot to take pictures. The atmosphere was so chill, like you were having breakfast at a friend’s house. We cannot wait to go back and try dinner!”
“I just want to thank the manager and staff for my birthday experience last night. We got there after harbor fest and the kitchen was closed but they were nice enough to go shuck oysters for me for my birthday . It was definitely appreciated thank you guys Saltine”
“Absolutely delicious food. The blend of all the different flavors was heavenly. I have celiac and love how I didn’t have to worry about contamination or have to compromise on food quality. The staff was very friendly. My friend brought me here for my birthday, and I’m So grateful. I will be returning and recommending this place.”

“Fast unload once you get into the door I talked to several people in receiving very polite very professional and when it comes to getting into this place make left on olney and left into driveway. The other way to get in I was told that gate is permanently locked so olney is only way in. I had good experience will come here again.”
“my server, Joao, was inattentive, disregarding, forgetful and rude. Not only did he barely greet me and my coworker, he was snotty, forgot half of my food, allowed my coworkers waffle to get cold before bringing his butter and syrup, didn't ask if we wanted refills, and barely spoke to us. then decided to get snarky when I left him a $2 tip when he didn't even deserve that... I always to at least 25%... not today”
“Those moments that short staff wows you. We are traveling and found this location late at night. There was 1 employee for the entire restaurant front and back. He was friendly, professional and cooked the best food we've had this trip. Service was so good we went back for breakfast. There was slightly more staff but still short handed. We had a server she said she was new. Only 19yrs old I cant remember her name. Very sweet and attentive. All staff was quick to say hi and acknowledge us. Food was phenomenal again. Would 1000% recommend this location. I'm not usually an IHOP fan but they knocked it out of the park!”
“First time at this location since we're traveling through. Surprised by the speed! I submitted the order on the app as we were pulling into the parking lot, by the time we parked in our spot they were carrying it out within a couple minutes tops. All of the food was piping hot, hash browns are 10/10(according to my wife who is a McDonald's hash brown connoisseur). Now let me get back to this good food.”
“I I have been going since the late 60's with my dad. I have always thought they have the best pizza til recently. My husband and I made our regular trip and ordered out favorite Orapax special, and didn't finish but a slice.....just not the same, not good. Hearing the same from many others. FIX IT”

“Gorgeous spot! Amazing Service! The food was pretty good as well! I got the tuna melt and had them add lettuce, tomato, and onion to it since I've really been craving vegetables, and I had the potato salad for my side. The tuna was a little too salty for me, but that potato salad.... that potato salad.... lemme tell ya, it was made with love, devotion, and a promise to honor and protect. Going through their menu and seeing all the other options they have, has solidified my decision to come back and try a few more things. If you're ever in Norfolk and want a sandwich (or potato salad) that will make you feel the love, definitely try Ten Top!”
“Been wanting to go here for several months. Didn’t disappoint. Tapas menu is delicious, Sangrias delightful, and loved the mushroom gnocchi dish. Busy spot, make reservations.”

“Zen is an oasis for eclectic artists and outrageous performers. It's where you go to step out of the insanity of the outside world to enjoy the loving embrace of inclusive joy and companionship. The bar staff is kind and attentive. The food is tasty as hell. I really could never say enough great things about Zen. Whether you're a performer or a patron, 37th and Zen is a welcoming haven.”

“Had the pleasure of having a family brunch h this past weekend. They staff was great especially with the size of guest that attended. Food was great and worth the price as well as being kid friendly. 5 star all the way. Definitely would return.”

“I came from northern Virginia 3 hours away to visit Norfolk and we stopped by penguins in my opinion the mango flavor with mango pieces was the best combination out of everything.I recommend this place to everyone in Norfolk either live or visit penguins and they are way better than the slurpee at 7-11 cause they don’t have the natural fruit like penguins does.”
“This was my first time here. First person I talked to was security about where I could park. I parked in the section she was at and she walked me up to the door, told me who to see and to have a great time. I had a great time! I had two great waitresses Brittny and Cris. But to have someone walk me to the door and explain everything, I knew I made the right choice. Oh she said get the prime rib or steak…the security lady. I got the prime rib, boy she was right on everything!”
“I just want to thank the manager and staff for my birthday experience last night. We got there after harbor fest and the kitchen was closed but they were nice enough to go shuck oysters for me for my birthday . It was definitely appreciated thank you guys Saltine”
“Blackberry crush and Painkiller for beverages. Crab dip for an appetizer. Seafood pasta and Surf sampler for dinner. Food and drinks were amazing. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was busy with large parties, over all great experience. We will return.”
“The food never ceases to amaze! The menu changes frequently, a few mainstays, but a lot of seasonal adjustments, and regardless of when I walk in and what I order, I always have a great time.”

“Ate here last night. Food is delicious. They do nickel and dime a bit. $3.50 for tortilla chips. Most mexican restaurants serve them complementary. Refills are free but they just bring the chips and you have to ask if you need more condiments. I also was charged a $1.50 because I wanted my tacos Lola’s way. I don’t remember seeing additional $1.50 to have them made that way on the menu. Also, sign outside margueritas are $7 all day everyday but then we we charged $8 each because you had to pay $1 extra for the flavoring. All these lovely add ons add up and you are not aware until the bill comes. Lastly there was a man working behind the bar with a very long beard. Since long hair needs to be tied back - this beard should have been ponytailed, in a net or shaved off. After seeing that I almost threw up my meal and my drink that he prepared.”
“The food is superb and the customer service is an A+++. Definitely try the Mac and cheese and the brisket burger.”
“Amazing experience! Friendly wait staff and atmosphere. Food and drinks were wonderful you definitely will not leave there hungry and prices were very reasonable”
“Man, did "BRIAN" ensure that a lukewarm host greeting was SUPERCHARGED with excellent bar area table service! Whoop! Whoop!
Seems to be a fun "regulars" neighborhood hangout & it was St. Patrick's weekend! ☘️ Brian's cocktails were awesome: a Crush & the Painkiller!!
I enjoyed my Fish Sandwich (fried Cod) & tasty perfectly cooked fries. House salads were fresh & the croutons must be housemade, they were delicious. But the STAR of the table: THOSE BUTTERY DELICIOUS OLD BAY WINGS!!! WOW! Some of the best!!”
“The food was great but I really like the drinks we had a great time”
“Amazing Pizza. The only pizza my son will eat the crust. Love this place, clean and the staff is SUPER friendly.”
“Without question the best Italian food in the Tidewater area. A little pricey maybe but well worth it. I have tried almost everything on the menu at one time or another. All great!!!!”
“This was my first time trying Indian cuisine, and it was delicious! I enjoyed the basmati rice, Tikka Masala Chicken, Naan bread, and Mango Lassi. My group and I went for lunch during Restaurant Week, so the menu was slightly different. The server was very attentive, and he thoroughly explained the features of each dish.”
“I love this restaurant. My family has never had a bad meal here.
Our favorites are kimbap, kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew), la galbi (ribs), and duk mandu guk (dumpling soup). Delicious, perfectly seasoned, served with traditional sides.
It's more than the food. The older waitress is so helpful and kind. She answers all of our questions and is always prompt - even when the place is packed.”
“Always Amazing!! Best homemade bread! Had the softshells tonight incredible! Love the syds barrel cocktail whiskey! The mudpie is maddeningly scrumptilicious”
“Great place with good food and good service! Very unique fare. Highly recommend it. Upscale bar also.”
“This was our first experience at 219 and overall pleased, especially our server. We have experienced the other groups within the team of restaurants. Always exceptional.”
“The food was delicious and the service was excellent I would recommend it to anyone”
“Went there on Saturday afternoon and the service from the bartender could not have been better! He was so nice and accommodating and made some great recommendations. Will definitely go back!”
“Pelon’s burritos always deliver the freshest and juiciest burritos. My favorites are the Curl with fried shrimp added, Hawaiian pipeline with chicken, Hang Ten, and chips w/ guac or queso. Bring your stretchy pants because you will definitely enjoy the serving size and what other items you add to your meal. The location feels welcoming and spacious. There is plenty of parking, and they always handle the lines well.”
“The setting is gorgeous, but the interior could use a designer for a more coastal environment. The crab cakes are the best in the area, but they need better healthy sides. I also had the best soft shell crab in the area there a few months ago. Hire a chef versus a cook. More healthy versions of seafood are needed versus mostly fried and salted. As an excellent cook, I could turn this place into a hot neighborhood spot that people could walk to/from. Many times the price does not meet the quality of food unless I order the crab cakes. I have seen waiters bring out broccoli with worms moving around and florets that have overstayed their time in the kitchen.”
“Fantastic food at a reasonable price. We will be going back. Sushi was fresh and service was outstanding. The staff Continually checked on us. I highly recommend.”
“We came here as a group of 6 on a Tuesday evening, and we were seated at their smallest table. When we asked to be moved to a larger (there were 3 open larger tables) we were told that the "wait" was too long. All 3 tables sat empty the entire time we ate. 3 of the 6 people in our party ordered the blackened sword fish at $34/plate. The orders came as grilled and they were severely over cooked. When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.”
“Fantastic beer and a tremendous burger and even better to be able to enjoy both at Happy Hour pricing and with great company. I selected The Veil as the spot for my UYE and enjoyed an evening of talking shop with a friend while we drank those great beers.
The Veil is a comfortable spot in the Railroad District and we were sitting in their dining area on the ground floor. Big tables and plenty of room this afternoon. Which we needed because that burger and fries needed elbow room to enjoy. I'd only suggest a pump-based ketchup dispenser as the packet thing is tedious.
They opened here in 2019 - well after I was done with my projects in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake - transforming this three-story space into a family-friendly taproom and restaurant. The full kitchen specializes in indulgent smashburgers and Neapolitan-style pizzas that pair perfectly with the brewery’s bold stouts, hazy IPAs, and seasonal sours.
We didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the Only You Bar & Lounge upstairs. Maybe that's the next visit to Hampton Roads.”
“Amazing food, and the vegan menu is extensive and amazing. Going to become a monthly date night for us, we enjoyed it so much. Great service too, the staff was lovely.”
“Food was wonderful. our server was very informative and attentive. Great personality.”
“The food is delicious.great service and very large serving. highly recommend”
“Best seafood I have ever had! Attentive friendly service, prices amazingly reasonable!!! All stars all around! Nihya is the greatest—thank you!!!”
“Been a favorite brewery of ours since the beginning. Always have a great beer selection no matter what type of beer you like and Proven Theory may be the best IPA on the planet!”
“Shout out to Yummo Bucko! A party of 4 we all spent close to $100, please know a 15% gratutity is added to each person no matter the size of group. This place will fill up fast (small and quaint), opens at noon on Sunday. I checked online to see if reservations could be set up and didnt see where that was an option, upon entering we were asked if we had a reservation. Even though we didnt we were told to select wherever we wanted to sit.
Food ordered: Sampler - grits where stiff and saudage links appeared and tasted as if straight out of (brown & serve box)
Fried shrimp - seasoned well and fried perfect
Eggs Benedict (2x) - one with fried, one scrambled it comes with two crab cakes and 2 lamb chops (lamb chops were supposed to be grilled medium well. Lamb chops was a new born baby lamb chop and so tough to bite)
Side order of original French Toast - ( one piece of bread cut in half $6.00)
Lamb chop brunch meal - comes with 3 lamb chops, smothered in brown gravy (I missed that part on the menu, I just wanted med well grilled lamb chops which came out the same as above. The menu stated mashed potates came with; however received cheesy grits with lobster meat. NO on the grits and the lobster was OK).
Lemon Pepper wings to go - brought order out and gave to the wrong person with no bag, just plopped down and walked away.
4 Mimosas which was ok.
Will we try this place again??? - Possibly on another day, just not BRUNCH.”
“My mother hired them to make the cake for my graduation party from Hampton University this past Sunday on Mother's Day and it was amazing. They brought my entire vision and design to life in absolute perfection and I definitely recommend using them for your next event.”
“Wow, it's been a whole year since I was last here! The vibe is so much better, and the decorations and flags make it feel cozy. The menu's different too; they've added more stuff, and it was amazing. The service was awesome and super attentive, and I still love the robot. They also have boba, which is a huge plus. I'd totally recommend the all-you-can-eat over the regular menu. Just remember the prices change from lunch to dinner because there's more food.”
“Fantastic. Hidden gem. Darn. I gave it away. Super nice staff. Calming music and outstanding food ! Ample serving and did I say super staff ?
Mongolian beef. Or General Tso... That's the only real problem here. Both are fantastic !!!”
“Started out a bit interesting, but it worked out. These fried crabs are just as good as T&T on Colley. Customer Service is everything even if you serving in the hood. We ain't all the same. Good service and good food will make me a repeat customer. Unless ur customers are not valued. . Good vibes. #supportBlackOwnedBusiness
#Norfolk”
“The food is outstanding taste, texture, quantity. If you’re looking for high blood pressure salty, then this is not the one for you. I love the flavors, just wished they open on the weekends Sunday after church type of food ? ???”
“A/C was great throughout the HOT temps outside
Cameron took.care of us during VIP Savannah Bananas K club exclusive area here getting drinks
Great food great service
Cici took care of us too!
Thank you!”
“Delicious food ? pan seared salmon salad, cabbage and Mac and cheese are ???”
“TERRIBLE- WOULD NOT RECOMMEND we had a dinner party for our group tonight at 6..we had a set menu and our main course did not even arrive until almost 9:30 pm. Waiter mentioned how under staffed they were but that didn't make up for the horrible taste in food and when it did arrive how cold it was. Manager did nothing and we literally did not leave till 10. This on top of the horribly small portions we all had to share with appetizers (between a party of 14) and our actual entree sizes. Would not recommend at all.”
“The food here is simply delicious. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I love the diverse menu selection and atmosphere. Definitely the best Korean comfort food in my opinion. Fresh ingredients and made with love. My top 10 place to visit in the Hampton roads area.”
“We had such a great experience getting married at The Harbor Club! Just about everything about the planning experience and the day of was perfect as far as the venue and food was concerned.
Communication with the venue via Jenn, the venue coordinator was quick and professional. She was able to answer all of our questions before we booked, and was very informative when we did a tour. Communicating throughout the planning process after we had booked was the same. Jenn also served as our day of coordinator for the other vendors, kept our timeline on track throughout the day. Everything ran smoothly!
The venue itself was lovely, the perfect size for our wedding. Easy access to the restrooms, and the whole venue is handicap accessible. The view of the Elizabeth River is gorgeous, and all of our guests loved the balcony where we had our cocktail hour.
Several guests complimented the appetizers that were passed, as well as the food we had for dinner. The service and bar staff were top notch, very professional and good at what they did.
We had a perfect wedding day, and the Harbor Club and all of the wonderful staff and hard work that was put in was a large part of what made the day so amazing.”
“I FINALLY was able to come here!! The FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY THE BOMB!!! I will definitely be back. And anyone who want good West African food, please come. It well worth it!!”
“I just want to thank Soirée Bistro for their friendly staff and providing a space for me and my friends to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress was a ball of fun and everything we had was good. The music enhanced the vibe! We will be back 💙”
“Craft on Colley is a yes for me. I really appreciate that they offer a decent amount of parking in their lot, with easy access from both Colley and 42nd Street. They even have a bike rack, which is a nice touch for cyclists.
The space isn’t huge, but it’s a good size with both indoor seating and a cozy outdoor patio—perfect for enjoying these summer evenings. It’s a great spot for everyone—friends, couples, and families alike. We arrived before the crowd, but the place filled up quickly, which says a lot about its popularity.
From the moment we walked in, the hostess/waiter was very attentive, and I noticed this level of service was consistent with all guests. He greeted everyone promptly and checked in on tables regularly without being intrusive. Since we were celebrating my birthday, our waiter even surprised me with a free pineapple shot—such a thoughtful and fun touch that made the experience even better.
The vibe was great—good background music, a relaxed atmosphere, and solid food and drinks. We both ordered the “Life is a Peach” margarita, which was perfectly balanced in flavor and strength. One drink lasted us the entire two-hour visit.
For food, we ordered the calamari, Buddha buns, bang bang shrimp, Cobb salad, and a side of fries with queso. Everything was tasty, but my favorites were definitely the bang bang shrimp and the Buddha buns—they had a nice little kick.
I’ll definitely be back—and soon.”
“Wonderful evening at The Green Onion! The food was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the prime rib, and it was cooked to perfection. The staff was courteous and extremely attentive. Highly recommend this great Ghent restaurant!”
“My wife and I went to this levels location for the first time this weekend this place is way bigger than the Chesapeake location. The lay out is dope we went during happy hour which was good the drinks were $7 and the hookah was $15 the music was good will be returning I want to try the wings!”
“Not only do you get meal prep but they have options for vegan, low-carb, pescatarian, etc. Highly recommended!”
“My mother and I went here for dinner on a Sunday night. It was pretty dead which made us nervous. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The sushi chef was not there so we werent able to get sushi but it was late on a Sunday. The staff was polite and parking was good. I would go back.”
“The food and service were all excellent! Highly recommend the green salsa!”
“This place is amazing! There is a MASSIVE variety of eateries inside the Market to satisfy every person's tastebuds. I ate at Striper's two days in a row & I enjoyed every meal there! Not to mention the homemade fudge shoppe!”
“Destiny was an excellent server. She was prompt with her greeting and informed me my dinner option was available in a smaller size . The salad bar had one disappointment. The pasta salad tasted sour. Dinner was asiago grilled chicken. Had I known the zucchini would be so good, I would have skipped the mashed potatoes and doubled up. My only problem was being seated. The hostess seemed more interested in customers at the bar than seating guests. Overall, a pleasant experience.
Today, a different story. While the salad bar was fresh and delicious, the service was mediocre at best. Mahogany introduced herself and she seemed very hospitable. She was definitely not attentive. Salad plates sat dirty on the table, menus never picked up. Such a shame because she seemed nice. The restaurant only had a half dozen seated tables and there was another server there.”
“I have been coming here for a long time. You can tell the clientele and workers are authentic Mexicans or Hispanics that enjoy real Hispanic food. I usually get my food to go, but today I decided to eat in the restaurant. I always get the tacos Carne Asada because it is the best Carne Asada I’ve ever had and all of hampton roads and I love Mexican food so I’ve eaten out pretty much every my same place that I can think of. A regular customer even suggested a dish that is similar to empanadas, but even better the pastry they used was flaky and crispy. Their Carne Asada is always flavor just right and very tender that you can just bite right through it and it’s melting your mouth. Their tortillas in their chips are also homemade, and you can tell them. I feel like this place was under the radar for a very long time, but you have to check this out as soon as you can!”
“The food and the atmosphere was great. Karaoke singers were awesome and very engaging with the customers.”
“I just visited Brothers Norfolk and let me tell you — this place is THE BOMB DOT COM! I ordered the calamari and snuck a bite of the kids’ chicken tenders, and everything was absolutely delicious. No exaggeration — it’s the best calamari I’ve ever had. If you’re anywhere near the Norfolk area (and honestly, even if you’re not), this spot is worth the drive. The interior is classy, the vibe is elevated, and the space is beautifully styled. And don’t even get me started on the live shows and event calendar — OFF. THE. CHAIN. This is just the beginning of what Brothers is bringing to the area, and I’m so here for it. Thank you for a true fine dining experience with flavor, style, and soul. Can’t wait to see what’s next for this amazing spot!”
“Great experience, I love it, a great place and such a good food, Jordan were a sweetheart, and helped us a lot, for been our first time in there.”
“I really wanted to give this place a lower rating, but the French 77 and the warmed up chocolate sea salt cookie were both so delicious that I couldn’t! We walked to the bar/counter/register and were the only ones in line, but it took awhile before anyone would acknowledge us. Got a gruff, “just so you know, it’s gonna be 30-45 minutes!” For a drink and a cookie? Yeah. Looked around - not crowded at all - in fact, only 2 tables had diners. Not sure why both workers seemed so flustered and snappy. Had to take a number and a table and wait. Finally arrived with a kind “sorry for the wait”, and took our goodies up to our room. Luckily this taught us not to come here for breakfast, as it starts at 6:30 and we had to be on the field, 20 minutes away at 7:00 am. We did, however, attempt to get coffee. The Starbucks is open 24 hours, but if you want coffee before they open for breakfast, you have to let them know at the front desk. Which we tried to do, but again it took some time before anyone would acknowledge us. Coffee was good, much needed, and much appreciated. They have good product, but seem to not care much about customer service...”

“i've lived in norfolk for 10 years and cafe milo by far is my favorite restaurant. i first ordered off of doordash and the food was phenomenal, but the other day i ate there w/my best friend and the vibe and customer service eating in was unmatched!! sitting at the bar while the chef cooks was an experience in itself! so much good conversation and the experience felt like a chefs tasting! ive never ate anything bad from cafe milo and tell people about their lambchops, their vegan dishes, and the mimosas and their BLT is everything! cafe milo does NOT miss!”
“I had my daughter’s bridal shower catered by East Beach Catering for a Sunday Brunch. They did a fantastic job with the food, displays and setup. I was very impressed with the quality of the food and presentation. Not to mention that everything was so delicious. I will definitely be using them again for any future events,”
“I have ordered from Cj twice. I love the braised collard greens and the Virgin Mimosa top with raspberries! It is so delicious!! It is nice to have a private chef to come to your house and cook for you, without the wait time and annoying long stand in the line . I had an gourment meal at home in a nice quiet place, without the all the holiday nose and chaos.”
“I really enjoy this restaurant! I've tried the Caribbean, Thai, Steak, and Salmon bowls — all were delicious, with the Salmon bowl being my personal favorite. The Baja Shrimp Wrap is also packed with flavor and definitely worth trying. Portion sizes are generous and satisfying. The only downside is the wait time. If you walk in, be prepared for a long wait to get your food. I've attempted to order by phone, but on a few occasions, I was placed on hold and never got a response — likely due to understaffing. It’s clear they need more help during busy times, especially in this season. That said, the food itself is consistently excellent, and the flavors never disappoint.”

“Wings are delicious and lots of sauce choices! Carolina mustard and maui wowie are favorites for sure. Service is a little spotty - nice but not very attentive. Sides are good but mac and cheese is nothing special. Didn’t like the pizza logs either, just too greasy and would rather have normal fried mozz sticks than egg roll shell”
“The food at Swell is the best restaurant food I have had in a long time. It was so good that we went back the following night. Rob is always a gracious host, and the waitresses were very nice, polite and make you feel welcome. Great experience!”
