“I’ve been dining here for several years, including with a group of “foodie” diners. It’s always excellent in every way. On long light days you can enjoy the view over the sound to the mountains. It’s stunning. And so is chef Toshi’s innovative and delicious cuisine. It’s the best Japanese fusion I’ve ever had. I could eat there everyday!“
“Flavors were good. I got the Rosè tteokbokki, fantastic. The sauce kind of tasted like a lobster bisque or sorts. Their signature roll was more sushi than gimbap but I'm not complaining. It was huge, full of fish, and delish. They were swamped since I came here at lunch on their soft opening but they were so nice. The velvet chairs are an interesting choice. I'm curious to how they'll hold up.Vegetarian options: Fish options“
“We have enjoyed their original location in Seattle and continue to go there. Eating at Takai last night was a wonderful experience and we were very impressed with the quality of the dishes we ordered. Service was fantastic! Walking distance from the Westin so we will go again for sure! The bonus was meeting Mr and Mrs Kashiba as well!“
“I pass by this nearly every week because I like many of the local businesses in the Mt. Baker area, but haven't had the chance to sit down till now. The restaurant ambience is cosy, and run by a sweet family. Incredibly tender chicken and flavourful teriyaki sauce. My *only* complaint is the added salad has too much dressing for me, but I feel like that's something prominent for American salads. So, I can't blame them there. Can't wait to try more of the menu!“
“This place is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been to. The first time, I felt the need to wear fancy clothes. The luxury feeling of the atmosphere and the service. Food is amazing, and the portion matches the price you pay. The beef bowl was bigger than we thought it was. The pork tonkatsu and the chicken tonkatsu came with two slabs and little pasta and rice and salad.we got the crunch roll, and the Lion king roll and the Dragon roll those are worth trying. Overall, it was an amazing experience. I definitely must eat here if in the mood for sushi in Renton.“
“Absolutely love this place. Great selection of sandwiches and every one of them seem to be amazingly tasty (we have tried 17 different ones so far). Recommended you order online the night before to get what you want as they tend to sell out of certain sandwiches pretty quickly each day.“
“Stop in on a chance while I was towing cars in the neighbourhood. It was really really good, Wish I had more time to enjoy it. I was in a hurry with the food. It was made fast service was great definitely going to stop back in and check out some of the rest of the menue In the future. Thank “
“I headed there for lunch. The place was crowded with folks taking advantage of the lunch special. Even though nearly every table was full; service was quick and food was delicious. There’s no wonder this place is so highly rated. Next time I’ll go for some primo sashimi.“
“First time eating here and I gotta say, it was phenomenonal. I had the Tokyo Classic and it was delicious. Really tasty. It's my new favorite burger joint in the Seattle area. Probably the whole country. And I've been to a few as a truck driver.Service was really great too. Very nice people working here.“
“We decided to try Saya based on good reviews. We were not disappointed. It’s casual restaurant with Thai/Teriyaki/Pho. There’s no fancy decorations. Just straight forward food and service. We aimed for Thai this time. The pad Thai was decent. We enjoyed the green curry as well. The amount of rice which comes with the order was not much. Wish a bigger rice bowl is offered. The service was very courteous and friendly. We appreciate their flexibility to substitute certain ingredients.“
“This is a super cute cafe in Bellevue! You order up front and then find a seat. If you order for here they bring it to your table, but if you order to go you pick up at the counter. There's street parking and some spots you can park in out front. This place is usually pretty busy. I have visited this location multiple times. I especially really enjoy their matcha parfait. The mochi is yummy. I would recommend the parfait for those visiting for the first time! This is definitely something you would share. I have also ordered the matcha soft serve! This is good for when you go alone. The roll cake is okay, wouldn't order it again but was good to try. They also have some onigiris and pastries. This is always an enjoyable dessert place to stop by whenever I am craving a sweet treat. I really recommend this place!“
“Bamboo sushi is a staple for date nights and great place to enjoy both fresh sashimi snd prepared roles. We tell people to get the green machine and rainbow roles. The hoki poki box entree is amazing. The miso soup and the edamame are great starters. Last time we were in we tried the Chirashi bowl as well which was great. The service at the bar is really quick and although we haven’t indulged, I hear their cocktails are good as well.Vegetarian options: There are multiple tasty roles and other dishes served without meat or animal products.Dietary restrictions: They will ask at the beginning of the meal and they will accommodate as necessary.Parking: There are multiple free parking lots and parking garages in the area.Kid-friendliness: This is a kid friendly establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: University place and the surrounding restaurants are all wheelchair accessible.“
“Ginger Teriyaki offers the best of both worlds: delicious food and outstanding customer service. From their flavorful teriyaki dishes to their attentive staff, every visit is a delight. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, you’re guaranteed a satisfying experience. Highly recommend!“
“I've been a sushi lover for years, and I can confidently say that Kamakura has completely captured my heart (and taste buds)! Walking in, you're greeted with a warm ambiance that sets the tone for a lovely experience. Let's talk about fresh, flavorful, and expertly crafted food. Every piece melts in your mouth, showcasing the chef's dedication to quality and authenticity. Whether you're a fan of traditional nigiri or adventurous rolls, they have something for everyone. Whether you're a sushi connoisseur or just looking for a local dining experience, Kamakura is an absolute must-visit.“
“This place is incredibly solid, especially for the price. The man who served us who I am assuming is also the owner was incredibly kind, friendly and kept up with a handful of tables while I think possibly cutting nigiri as well. He even hooked us up with a free gyoza and brought a little snack for our baby. Some of the reviews here need to chill on expectations for a small town sushi spot. We tried a bunch of different nigiri and rolls and all of the fish tasted super fresh. These prices are legit half of a typical similar spot with the same quality. We'll continue to drop in this neighborhood gem whenever possible.“
“The absolute best crepe I've ever had in my life. I ended up creating my own with strawberries, bananas, custard, whip, Nutella, and cornflakes. The staff was so nice and welcoming and the crepe itself was perfect. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the Seattle area.“
“As far as sushi options at this price point go in Bellevue this is a great spot. I prefer this to japonessa or kobe around the same price point. High quality rolls - ordered spider, unagi, and spicy hamachi, all very good and well rolled. Would order all 3 again. It's not top tier sushi and isn't priced like it, I found a lot of value at the price point.“
“Why did it take me so long to try this place??If you have good taste and know your way around good Japanese food AND like what a good bento box is like- this is the place for you. I have been eating Japanese food my whole life and ate my way across Japan, I have missed the amazing bento boxes you can get literally anywhere there. This is the answer to that. Literally everything it have tried is amazing. I especially appreciate ordering online and picking up. Very very impressed.“
“Blown away! Tucked away, Nishino is a perfect little oasis for dining delicious, fresh sushi. Our waiter was so pleasant and delightful. He had a great attitude, sense of humor, and was so kind. Then there's the food - WOW. So fresh, so delicious. Had a previously bad experience with eel and with the trusted recommendations and preparation of the chefs, have been altered for the better. Everything was lovely. Such a spectacular place and already can't wait to go back!“
“Nice place with good service other than the server assuming we didn’t want the homemade noodles. It says to ask for the regular noodles if not familiar with the homemade type, but the wrong assumption was made for us. I would listen to the other reviews about the broth. It’s pretty bland and even after adding everything it didn’t change much for me. Other than that it was a nice experience.“
“Momoya is my favorite sushi restaurant. Fish is always so fresh, sushi is exquisite *chef's kiss*, service is always timely and friendly. I love coming here to celebrate and for the occasional dinner treat.Food is soo good I came here two days in a row!“
“Wonderful little hole in the wall restaurant with very well made and inexpensive sushi, teriyaki etc. The service is fast and very professional.Vegetarian options: There are some tasty vegetarian options.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp“
“The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. The daily sheet often features surprises (and recently, probably the best sashimi treasure I’ve ever tried). And although I’m usually all about the fish, the veggie omakase really blew my mind.“
“I took some points off because you checked in on a computer, which was nice to see the options, but there was no human interaction. The atmosphere was nice there are some anime figures which is nice to look at and calming music. The food was amazing and I love all of the options I got the katsu burger with egg and bacon and a side of Nori fries ? DO NOT SKIP OUT ON THE NORI FRIES! ITS AMAZING! This place is definitely a place I will keep coming back to!Parking: Limited number of spots to park very busy area!“
“Not gonna try to be a food critic here because if you know the greater Seattle area, you know we don’t have good, quality, authentic shabu. Service was fantastic, atmosphere was clean and understated, appetizers (karaage and tuna on crispy rice) were excellent. Both shabu and sukiyaki were authentic, high quality ingredients, and came with clear and abundant options.“
“Splurge and get the Japanese wagyu beef skewers - you'll think you died and went to heaven. They melt in your mouth, succulent, perfectly grilled, they're well worth $18. The cocktails are strong, tasty, interesting, service is great, the restaurant is impeccably clean.....Parking: As evening goes on, parking fills up....Kid-friendliness: Not really a place for kids“
“At first I was a bit skeptical, given it is a sushi restaurant in the middle of the suburbs. It is a nice and clean restaurant. I will say when dining in, the experience was better than any other sushi restaurants I have been to. Right when you are seated, they offered complimentary hot towels (to wipe your hands) and miso soups (that are amazingly good). We're big fans of seared salmon nigiri and it is a typically what we order when eating sushi, I can say that they were spot on! Good size pieces of quality fish. With the right amount of sauces. And the presentation was great! The food was pretty quick as well. Their service was friendly. Apart from their dine in experience, I have also ordered a bulgogi and California rolls to go. Still exceeded expectations, and was delicious! 10/10 would highly recommend!“
“Had a great experience at Zushi Sushi in Issaquah. An intimate spot for great sushi. Plenty of choices for any sushi lover. I had the small sashimi which consisted of 6 generous pieces which included Tuna, Salmon, Yellowtail, White Tuna, and Albacore. Then I had the Crazy Horse which came loaded. You don't have to go into Seattle to have good sushi. And to end a great meal, I was served a fired Oreo that was fried to perfection! Zushi Sushi is definitely well worth a visit!“
“TL;DR: lines at opening. The curry is really good! Try the Kabocha Fries. On the spendy side, good date night spot.Parking: very small shared lot. Expect to street park during peak hours--you may have to walk a ways.Atmosphere: cozy diner feel with bar, bar tables, booths, dining tables. Not really accommodating for extra large parties.Service: pretty popular space so expect lines to form before opening. Wait to be seated, you will be watered, menu brought to you, check brought to you, box your own leftovers upon request.Menu: two descriptive pages with minimal images. There are different cuts of pork to choose from so read the descriptions carefully before choosing which one to go with your meal. Plates are a bit on the spendy side but it is very filling.Kid Friendliness: not very accommodating in terms of entertainment for little kids, high chairs available upon request, no kids menu.Kabocha Fries: it's pumpkin-like squash slices that are breaded, fried and seasoned. Very tasty!Katsu Curry Set: the meal set comes with shredded cabbage, miso soup, and a tiny dish of pickled veggies. Oh man the curry is really good. It's not spicy at all and the pickled veggies go really well with it! Who knew dark chocolate could add so much richness?! The cabbage that it comes with goes really well with the provided dressings on the table (I like the light brown sesame dressing best). Miso soup wasn't really anything to write home about but it is a nice palate cleanser along with the shredded cabbage.Kurobuta: tasty cut of pork that isn't chewy and is not dry at all! Excellent with the curry! Love the crunch and dipping it in curry.“
“Been here a few times for takeout chirashi don, but came back from a friend's recommendation to try their katsu. Their mixed katsu don was amazing and the other photos don't quite do it justice. Nice crispy batter and very tender chicken and pork. Definitely coming back!“
“This is the ONLY Jae's review you will need to read: Tonight was my first night at Jae's. I called in to ask how long the wait was, and the staff let me know they were busy. They do not have an automated call system, so they took my number down and *called me personally* when a table opened up. We showed up at the ambiance was incredible. Jae is behind the counter slicing up beautiful pieces of Sashimi. There's a birthday party and we all do sake shots together. They all toast to Jae, an indication of how much his presence means to this place. Then we got our food. Each piece of sashimi and the Ootoro nigiri were INCREDIBLE. Melt in your mouth texture with bursting flavor. When we were halfway through our sashimi dinner, Jae poured us complimentary shots of sake. Safe to say I will be a regular here from now on. If you're looking for sushi, THIS IS THE PLACE!!“
“Very homely place for cozy but upscale sushi in Bellevue. Set right on the lake you can enjoy some views while you dine. The restaurant itself is cozy and quiet, great for talking. Sushi is moderately priced for their rolls but all ingredients are very fresh. Service is good too with nice hot tea. They have a couple sampler plates that are fun--the salmon sampler with 3 pieces was very fun as I am a salmon lover. They also have a variety of combos and bentos if you prefer that instead.“
“Our favorite Japanese restaurant on the east side. Some of our favorite items include the kabocha fried rice, chicken katsu dinner, mackerel / saba, albacore tataki salad, any of the sushi and tempura. It can get busy here for dinner on the weekend, so I suggest reservations.“
“Sushi cafe is a favorite among my family. I definitely recommend the momokawa pearl sake, and I don't think we've ever eaten something that we didn't like! Some of our regular rolls we order are the ichiro, the hella hot, rainbow roll, spider roll, sunset roll, fancy pants (the list goes on)!“
“Just went with my partner for our Valentine's Day date, and it was amazing! We had the kitchen bento and the sushi bento as well as the special Sea Dragon roll- it was a perfect lunch date! The sea dragon roll was the highlight, it was balanced and beautiful, I'm struggling to express how perfect this roll is. I'm so happy we went the atmosphere was so relaxing truly 10/10 I can't wait to go back!“
“Someone at work sent me a photo of their meal and I knew I had to try this place myself. I love their chicken katsu. Most places aren’t breaded well or get soggy. I typically don’t order it for that reason. They understand that katsu is supposed to be crunchy and they make sure it stays crunchy until you can sit down and eat it. I’m not a huge fan of katsu sauce but pairing it with their garlic sauce is so good. I have yet to try their spicy chicken, but I can’t eat spicy food like I used to. Rice portion is a little less than other places. They are super friendly and I’ve recommended this place to everyone at work.“
“Super fast - 10 minutes from sitting down to polishing off these delicious avocado and cucumber rolls! Absolutely divine, service was excellent. The German opera playing in the background was an unexpected surprise but I enjoyed it all the same. Will definitely be back.“
“Fast, yummy and a great lunch spot. We had a group of 8 of us come in and they got our order to us in about 15 min which I was very inpressed with. Their food was well flavored and yummy. I’d stick with the teriyaki myself. The katsu was very well done as well and a giant quantity.“
“Amazing drinks and selection. The tempera'd brie was soft on the tempura and melty, a refreshing take on wonderful cheese. We had one of the Seattle Cocktail Week options, Paper Wings, which was citrusy and bright without being acidic or bitter, but very well balanced.“
“Came for lunch around 1:30. Food was tasty and place was quiet and clean. ❤️Enjoyed the bb spicy chicken with yakisoba, rice, and stir fry. Stir fry was more like a wet salad or just more sautéed than crispy. Still overall taste is good and the place is nice.“
“Food here are amazing!! All the sushi rolls and udon we had were outstanding! Highly recommend fried oysters appetizer! Hiyashi Wakame seaweed salad was great too. Service was great, friendly staff and they have a really nice atmosphere. I'm excited to go again with our friends this week. This place is not an average sushi restaurant. If you want good quality sushi, I highly recommend!“
“A true five star place. Had the spicy miso ramen, so much flavor and such high quality for 20 bucks in an age when jack in the box costs 16, will definitely be back!Wheelchair accessibility: All one room with no steps and there is a bar where wheelchairs could be placed allowing you to sit alongside friends“
“I love Musashi's. Delicious food, decent serving sizes for the price (especially the onigiri), quick service, and complimentary tea at each table! I can always find a spot to sit. My one complaint is that the seating is not very comfortable.I've also ordered takeout from them using DoorDash and everything comes just as I ordered it and very quickly, too!“
“Gave this place a try during my lunch break. The quality is great and considering how much teriyaki prices have inflated in the Seattle area (remember when a chicken teriyaki order cost $6?), the lunch special offer is a pretty good deal! The portions aren't too big nor too small for the price. Good quality food and service for the price.“
“We liked this place overall. The sushi was pretty good quality, we got 6 rolls. Our favorite was the spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. They did mess up and give us a vegetable roll instead of a California roll but they gave us the right roll for free. The place is a bit small and cramped but for the price and quality of sushi it is definitely worth it!“
“Always open like their hours say and ALWAYS high quality teriyaki. It is My favorite Teriyaki place in south center/ Seattle area. When I first moved here many teriyaki places had poor quality consistently across the board or closed really early. Thanks you guys ?“
“Terry's Kitchen was great. We're from Hawaii and they had a lot of island dishes. My kids and myself loved the Loco Moco. I saw they had some pool tables next door and will have to go back to play sometime. The staff was very friendly and responded in a timely manner.“
“Used to come here a lot years and years ago and it is just as good as I remembered. They are true to their slogan, they didn’t invent teriyaki but they have perfected it. My expectations for tofu teriyaki were low but Teriyaki Bistro did something incredible with it. My partner got the spicy garlic chicken and was equally impressed. Portions are generous, we made two meals of it, and they provide extra sauce without asking. Service was quick and friendly. Reasonably priced.“
“Best teriyaki ever!! Great portions and they have the best tasting chicken teriyaki, short ribs, and salad. They also make a delicious yakisoba which is like a japanese stir fried noodle dish. If you like spicy, they can make any of the dishes spicy and so good. Service is always so friendly. Definitely come support this family owned business if you’re in the area.“
“Sushi chef made polite conversation and the servers checked in on me often in a friendly polite manner. At first I hesitated to get the rice with my chirashi bowl. But so glad I did, it was just as delicious as all of the raw plump fishes. Sooo yummy and delicious.“
