At first, it was cute and welcoming, but after the 3rd or 4th time. The phrase "lost its meaning. And just became filler words. Other than that, I will gladly return. This place was great ? ?“

“Such an incredible new Chinese place for north Seattle! Every dish we had was amazing. Mongolian beef with crispy rice noodles--perfect flavor. The sweet and sour pork was like nothing we've had before, and the pot stickers are clearly made from scratch on site, they taste soooo fresh. Best of all, the chef had just whipped up a bath of popcorn chicken with this amazing sweet/spicy seasoning, and let us try it to give our opinion on the new recipe. So good! Very high quality food, made fresh, and incredibly reasonable prices. (Most entrees I saw are $9-12.) And the owners are exceptionally kind and professional. This will be our go to when we are in the neighborhood.“

Most Americans are used to. The offerings were certainly unique (and the pork jerky was delicious!) but I felt the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. “Every dish I’ve had here stands out compared to pretty much every other Thai restaurant. Which is not easy to do in this area. However it does come with a slight price increase that I feel is often worth it, often not always. The inside is on the small side but the layout provides a nice separation that makes you feel like you’re in a larger space. The decor is nice and clean. The materials are fairly high quality. This spot has decent natural lighting, but this does make it feel a bit odd because the day I can was dull and it reflected inside. Meh, I could see my food just fine, just wish they had more lights.Their service is also just ok. Nothing special and far from bad. They are nice. I was able to get seated right away during happy hour. I’ve been here before and also passed by many times and this place has never been packed. Not sure why when they have these amazing dishes. Maybe the price for the area makes this more of a luxury despite being better priced than many of the nicer restaurants in the area.I can say their food taste absolutely delicious. Every meal I’ve had was better than anywhere else in the area. They also offer many dishes I just don’t find anywhere around here. On my last visit I tried the jackfruit salad and 2 different crab based dishes. The jackfruit salad was over powered by the fish sauce flavor and I couldn’t eat more than 2. Needs more salad or maybe something else to help cut or spread the saltiness. My Kanom Jean Numya Pu had amazing flavor and texture, but was for sure not worth the high price I paid. Everything about it was underwhelming but the flavor. I’m glad I experienced it, but wish I had ordered something different. The curry softshell crab was spot on. No complaints with this dish. The proportions made sense and there was actually enough crab to satisfy. Every other dish I’ve had at this location was a similar experience to how I felt about the crab curry. Unique, tasty, decent portion, prices appropriate.I highly recommend planning a simple date night here or even just getting a solo plate. You for sure can find cheaper or more expensive, but eating here almost corrects the judgement bar of what middle quality Thai food is. No this isn’t the most fancy Thai restaurant and no it’s not a hole in the wall. To be honest I’d rather come here than several of the fanciest Thai restaurants I’ve been to. Can’t wait to come back.Vegetarian options: I wouldn’t say they spell it out so much, but they have many dishes that come without meat.“

Otherwise, we would have been back for sure. The server was attentive but knew when to let us do our thing. The potstickers and buns (northern-style dumplings) are delicious--I particularly like the pork and Napa cabbage potstickers. They send small containers of chili oil and soy sauce to use on the dumplings, and this is a great addition! If you're a vegetarian, there are veggie options for the dumplings (don't know if it's vegan but it's definitely vegetarian). It's wonderful to have an authentic dumpling shop in the neighborhood! “I got the spicy chicken teriyaki (my personal default) combo with the four piece gyoza. I came in after lunch around 1:45pm after calling in my order. I picked up my order, paid, thanked the staff and left. It was a nice day, so I drove down to a park to enjoy the weather while I ate.The plating was three quarters rice, one quarter salad with the chicken on top of the rice. Portions were pretty generous. I would say there was about three chicken thighs worth of meat on there. The chicken was a little messy in its arrangement, but it may have been jostled on my journey down. It did look like the chicken was tossed in a sauce after cooking, as the cut sides of the chicken were colored by the sauce pretty consistently. But that also could have come from an additional application of sauce once the chicken was plated. The chicken itself was great. It had a little bit of char on it (as it should) but wasnt overcooked. It could’ve had a little more char on it, but what I got would suffice. I wouldn’t describe it as juicy, but it was not dry whatsoever. The sauce coating the chicken was sweeter than what I was used to, but balanced out well with the rice. They gave me an additional sauce cup that I put on top. That sauce was unusually thick, and took some work to get mixed/spread over the chicken. I honestly don’t even think it was necessary for me to use it, but it was fine. The chicken was good, bordering on great. The rice took up enough of the sauce to imbue it with some of its tasty flavor making the rice experience quite pleasant. The grains were of a medium to medium-short variety which is pretty typical of most teriyaki establishments. The rice didnt show any signs of it sitting in a rice cooker too long nor did it show any signs of overcooking. The rice stuck together in clumps pretty well even after absorbing some of the sauce. Overall the rice was good. The salad was of the iceberg mix variety with a few slivers of carrots in it, again pretty typical. Like it came from a grocery store pre-mix bag. Not that its a bad thing. The dressing was medium thickness, sweet and slightly acidic. It was pretty comparable to most teriyaki restaurants. The gyoza were fried well, and had a nice crispy shell. The shell itself did not show signs of freezer burn and had nice blistering from frying. The filling felt pretty average but that is saying that I still enjoyed it very much. The dipping sauce for the gyoza was not too soy sauce heavy. It had a nice acidity likely from a mirin or a rice wine vinegar and a touch of sesame oil for flavor paired very well with the dumplings. The meal was expensive though, I was out the door $21 poorer (not including tip). Now this could totally be my fault for not looking at the reciept or menu more closely, but I was expecting the charge to be more like $18 based on the images of their menu on google. However, they dont have a spicy chicken teriyaki + gyoza item on their menu specifically though they do have one thats teriyaki + 3 gyoza + 1 egg roll. So maybe I was charged a non-combo price.Overall, 8/10 experience on the meal. The price knocks down a point and the chicken not being fresh sliced does as well. But it still gets 5 stars because its great. Theres nothing wrong here and they get most everything just the way it should be. I would recommend this spot to anyone in the area.“
