“Love this place! It’s my husband’s and I favorite spot to go on our weekly dates.
The servers know us by now and always know what we want and they have been wonderful at making their food vegan for me.
Everything is healthy and not covered in oil. Couldn’t say enough.
My only wish would be that they had tofu on their menu as an alternative option.
You won’t be disappointed!“

“The owner responded to my last review said I got the tacos mixed up with another place and he was right. I mixed them up with a place that’s down the road from them! Then I remembered this place to a T!
This place when I came was packed with guys sitting in front drinking beer in their paper bags, getting wasted out front just staring. No where to sit. Only some of those guys were eating most/almost all drinking.. If you’re female, be warned you are going to be gawked at!!
The food was good. Tacos were good, the torta we got the bread was burnt. We only tried the asada and it was pretty good decent. Overall the place is good but parking sucks, sitting and eating there was not an option. The wait time did take awhile, but it was busy. I would come back, but maybe not on a Saturday!“

“Fast, fresh, friendly and fantastic family owned find❣️. You might find Mama talking your order or chatty Erik or more fam. Food is excellent. Limited menu, but that’s good. And there are currently sweet EMPANADAS!! They’re small, delicate and delectable.I love the pineapple and Nutella is an option. My uncle loved the cocoa flan. 😍 I think my fave taco place is now a contender for an espresso stop with, did I mention, EMPANADAS!?!“

“This was our first trip back to Yakima in 15 years. We Googled for a good Mexican restaurant and picked El Pastor. We were impressed with the friendly service and made to order food. Best we have had in a long time! Highly recommend. We were in Yakima for the fog show, so we took our food to go.“

“I just went there and there was a man that was mentally ill that I tried giving money to. He couldn't hardly speak but I got the hint he wanted food. I gave them $5 for food for him. I know it wasn't enough to cover his meal but as I was watching from the rearview mirror I could see them passing him the food. Thank you so much for that! Everyone knows this place has good food that's why everyone goes there but it takes good people to do that for someone.“

“My first visit was an incredible trip from Oregon through this region. I loved finding a lunch box with such delicious tacos and quesabirria. It is totally recommended. It is a good place to eat and remember our taste of Mexico with a variety of sodas and fresh water. place to enjoy outdoors or takeaway

“Man, I really wish I could give five stars it's so close bro. Drinks are a bit over priced for the size and serving imo. My suggestion lower drink prices 2-3 dollars or serve it in a fishbowl and have a rotating drink special that make people want to show up in droves. I think that's enough criticism for now let me get to the juicy goods.

I have to share what they nailed and just got it right! The rice and beans had the right amount of seasoning, almost up to abuelas standards, probably better than your mom but still not as good as your suegra. The crisp on the asada was 🔥 and didn't need salt, it was like a machaca crisp with asada flavor. I would like to see at least one more traditional carne option like cabeza or carnitas supreme 🤤 and I feel like maybe I need to scope out the camarones next time, I'll let y'all know but overall la experiencia fue buena please check it out and enjoy“

“We all know there are many "taco trucks" in Yakima, but this taco truck is by far my favorite. The quality of food for the price is just amazing. The hand made tortillas are delicious. I come here anytime I'm downtown and in the mood for Mexican food. I would recommend this place to anyone!“

“I come here often, and the food is legitimately good, and the prices are comparable to fast food (so you’re getting better food at a similar price), but there are some quality consistency issues. 1/3 times either the refried beans are quite runny, or the fries are undercooked, or condiments are forgotten. The last one isn’t really a big deal, but when there are small issues like that 1/3 of the time, it can feel like sort of a gamble, which is disappointing Overall I’d still recommend El Ranchero, though, because the quality/value is still strong all put together, and one of the girls who works here is incredibly nice—so I’d still say five stars overall, just with the caveat that consistency could be a little better.“
