“All the walk ins were already booked when we showed up right at open (5pm on Sat), but they put us on the waitlist. Luckily, around 8pm we got a text saying to come in at 8:45. A good option if you live nearby or have things to do in the area. The Pizzas we got were cooked to perfection. Probably one of the best pizzas I've had in the city. If you like Neapolitan style, you won't find a better dough anywhere. Our dessert, Almond Cremolata was simply delicious. The ambiance was amazing. You get to see the chefs and the process of pizza making if you get seated close enough. Service was friendly, quick and efficient.“

“This is not a negative about the pizza whatsoever, it’s just that the hours listed online are not reflective of the hours of the restaurant. It says it’s open till 10:00 PM but I arrived at a little before 930 and restaurant is completely dark. Please update! Thanks.Edit: thanks for letting us know about why it was closed. You’re back to 5 stars :)“

“May 2024: still NYC quintessential pizza spot. I loved every bit of it. The meat lovers is amazing, but that John's Classic is still the way to go!The line outside seems v long, but it's really not. 15 - 30 minute wait.April 2018: Awesome cheese pizza. Loved it.“

“Beautiful place to eat. It was sunny when we went and it was super comfortable on the terrace. The food was delicious and the quantities were quite large.I especially recommend the pesto pasta and the mushroom pizza. The chocolate ice cream was also spectacular, you could tell it was homemade. Finally, I would like to say that we were served by a Venezuelan girl who was a wonderful person.“

“Come for the space, there's a lovely enclosed patio in the back! Stay for the pizza and the drinks, both of which were surprisingly good. Be warned, however, that the menu is a novella. So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. Solid option!“

“One of the best Detroit styled pizza places I've been to in New York! The pizzas are so doughy and cheesy, with a really delicious caramelized crust. The star of the meal for me was the white sesame pizza. So creamy, so cheesy, the perfect balance between savory and sweet.“

“I recently celebrated my birthday at Vic’s with a group of friends, and it was an absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The ambiance was lively yet intimate, setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the ARANCINI, which were fried to perfection and surprisingly light, with a delightful balance of lemon and fontina cheese. The VODKA pizza was special, featuring unique toppings like guanciale and marjoram that perfectly complemented the gooey fontina cheese. The MAFALDINE pasta was a revelation, with its inventive combination of pistachio, chive, and bread crumbs creating a symphony of flavors and textures unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. And of course, the CHITARRA pasta with lobster and spicy tomato sauce was fresh and indulgent. To top it all off, the TIRAMISU dessert was the perfect sweet ending to a memorable meal. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend Vic’s for any special occasion or simply for a delicious meal with friends. Be sure to make a reservation, as this gem fills up quickly!“

“It was my first time here and Coco was our server. She was absolutely amazing. She was enthusiastic about the fact that this was my first time in and she immediately started telling me about her favs. I ordered the Lemon Pizza (Sidenote, I know, it sounds disgusting but I assure you, it's perfection!) Coco kept coming back to check on me, she made suggestions for a pasta dish which also was nothing short of a delight. I had such an a great experience and cannot wait to come back and request Coco again.“

“We checked out Noi Due Gelato - was worth every penny, every calorie, every gram of fat! The staff were so attentive and charming, and we got to taste test some of the flavors we weren't sure about committing to. I would recommend and even tell dieters "YOLO!" A terrific occasional treat to splurge on!“

The pizza, with its perfectly charred crust and fresh, high-quality ingredients, strikes a delightful balance between traditional Italian flavors and innovative culinary twists. The staff at Motorini is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit is memorable. This pizzeria is not just about eating; it's about enjoying a slice of Italy right in the heart of the city.“

“The fact that this place only has 500 ratings shows you had bad popular taste is. THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA IN NEW YORK CITY. Ok, so you wait 15-20 minutes on a busy night for the Sausage broccoli rabe pie, but it's worth it. You should never want the timing faster. Great bartender and I love the tall draft glasses. That's the way family style pizza is done. Perfecto.“

“I've been a few times and really love this place. Their take on the espresso martini with peppermint is so delicious, one of my favorite I've ever had. The food is exactly what you want from a neighborhood Italian spot and the vibe inside is buzzy and cozy. Lots of great gluten free options too!“

“What a great find in the Village. We arrived and our table at the bar wasn't ready but all the staff were very apologetic and couldn't have been nice. The pizzas were as good as Naples, the atmosphere was very buzzy as everyone was clearly having a fab time. Next time I'm in NYC I will definitely be returning Thanks for a great night“

“I've been following Frank on the socials for yearsssssss and finally being able to be at one of his restaurants, eating the Limone Pasta in real life was absolutely an experience. We were seated inside and it was an exceptionally warm October evening. It was getting uncomfortable and we asked to be seated outside. They were able to accommodate us even though they were fully booked. We had pizza, chicken parm, the roasted eggplant, burrata and everything was A1.I will go to NY just to eat at one of Frank's restaurants. Truly highly recommend.“

“Not the normal thin NYC pizza slice - it's actually quite thick and square shaped. A slice is huge though, so it has decent value for being $6. Line was down the block, but we got through in about 30 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. The seating was quite full inside though so you'd probably have better luck standing outside to eat or going to a nearby park. They have interesting flavors, like poached pear, but also the standard slice flavors. I tried the cacio e Pepe slice, which was good but more like a glorified cheese slice, and lacked much of the pepe side of it. So I'd probably try a different flavor. I did like the crispy crunch of the slice though.“

“My family and I ate at Pepperoni Tony's this past weekend. The food was hot and delicious. It was a bit crowded despite arriving for a table early (6 pm) so my advice is to get there early or you'll have to wait. The service was decent although they did forget our drink refills. We will be back!“

“Note: Review based on Pizza making class/experience.The atmosphere is so intimate and cozy. All pizzas are made in a wood fire oven. Chef Salvatore is passionate about his pizzas and loves to help the people in the class. We had a great experience. The ingredients were great and easy to handle. Don’t need any level of cooking experience to do the class. You get appetizers (salad + meatballs), followed by pizza and marshmallow Nutella dessert pizza. You mainly just roll out your dough and put toppings on. More of a date activity than a cooking class, loved it and will be back to try pizzas made by the chef.“

“Supposedly the best pizza in NY. After trying 5 places, I believe it. I am really beyond shocked that I've had so much better pizza in so many other places than NYC. Not many flavors, not a whole lot of flavor in them. It's not bad, but I expected so much better. There is not much seating, dirty, and overcrowded.“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“
