“Update on the update: The owners were retiring so they sold the business to the same guys who own Baumhower's Victory Grill. Looks like the regulars have kept coming because the place is pretty packed for lunch. As far as I can tell from a single plate of barbecue it hasn't changed all that much. Fried potatoes are still golden fried deliciousness and you just can't beat their cornbread. I did notice from their posted hours that they close right after lunch so don't expect any barbecue for dinner. I was worried this great Auburn eatery was facing the same fate as Price's Barbecue House and being bulldozed to build another student housing complex. Thankfully that is not the case.”

“Bow & Arrow Restaurant in Auburn, AL is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I have always had a delightful experience and the food is abolutely delicious. Bow & Arrow serves up an assortment of smoked meats that can be enjoyed on their own with an array of traditional southern and tex mex sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens, borracho beans, and sweet corn rice. The menu also includes enchiladas, fajitas, tacos as well as a brand new cocktail menu featuring twenty-six new libations, with of course, margaritas! I had the BBQ sandwich with fries and it was absolutely delicious and my server was very friendly and was attune to my needs.”

We had a leisurely dinner, from the focaccia to splitting the crunchy chocolate dessert cake. We split a bottle of champagne and had the relaxed, no-rush to hand us a check experience that is so rare in US restaurants.The focaccia wasn’t traditional, and a baker would probably say it was too soft, technically. Well, we could have eaten six of them, it was so good. Would have liked a more robust olive oil with it, and I didn’t get a lot of the rosemary flavor as its name promised, but it was a treat to open the meal with. Highly recommend.She had the beef filet cooked “medium-rare plus one minute,” and it was perfect. She said the seasoning was “a little uneven,”heavier on one side, but I didn’t detect that in the slice I stole. Nicely cooked and super tender. I had the shrimp fra diavolo: spicy sauce and succulent shrimp. I could have taken a little less of the sauce for a lighter dressed pasta, but that is really nitpicking. Dessert: not too sweet and a perfect ending.The menu is varied, with pizzas, antipasto and vegetables (really likes our roasted cauliflower), but small enough for attention to detail.Our meal wasn’t cheap: appetizer, two entrees, dessert and a bottle of wine, but it was a great night. A three-hour evening of good food, drink and conversation. Diners around us were having fun. We also ordered the crab ragoon (not pictured) they were ok. Not very much filling inside and tasted a little old/cold. Also ordered two egg rolls. Pretty standard, but also smaller than average. Ambience was generic, but clean. The to go lady was friendly. Will return but might try something else next time.”

I did let mine soak in the sauce for a good 15 minutes before digging in. I also got a side of fries and they were delicious as well. “My husband and I come here often, however, tonight we had the best waitress we have ever had. Ms. Shayna was extremely polite, sweet and on it. We watched as she waited on table after table with the same friendly up beat demeanor. She didn't rush us and her personality and attitude was AMAZING. “One of the places you MUST try for lunch while in Auburn!!! Be aware that their hours are limited (Wed-Sat 10-2 and Friday dinners) and although the line may seem long, IT MOVES QUICKLY AND IS WORTH THE BRIEF WAIT! Also, the menu changes daily, so keep an eye out on Instagram where they post the menu in the post captions the evening before service. I highly recommend ALL of the bowls. This place is run by the sweetest family and caring staff. The food is always fresh, unique, and flavorful. Go give them a try!!!”

“I'm going to start off by saying that this chipotle is way better than the chipotle in tiger town. The chips and the rest of the food is fresh (unlike the tiger town chipotle where the chips are ALWAYS stale) and the food is pretty good. Their lemonades are TERRIBLE though, do NOT get a pomegranate lemonade just stick to the fountain drinks (I'm unsure if they weren't doing something right cleaning wise or if the lemonades are just bad). Like any chipotle, how good the value of your food is depends on who is serving it. The managers are not good at fixing the food, they don't give you the right amounts. The regular workers do a good job. Overall the food is good and the chips actually have limesalt (UNLIKE tiger town's Chipotle), so I reccomend if you want chipotle.”

“The food was very good but not quite Five Stars. Some of the food items were of a commercial mass type of taste or presentation, texture. The vegetables were absolutely the salvation of the entire buffet. The greens were perfect, the cream corn was excellent, the butter beans were good, the salad bar was ok , the meats that were present were pretty good but the fried chicken was greasy and soaked my napkin up pretty bad with grease, acid reflux waiting to happen, turkey wings were not uniform in presentation, some looked like they were allowed to have a nice brown broiled touch on top and some looked like they must have just been boiled and put out to eat however the one I tasted with the broiled look was ? Delicious. Sweet potatoes were ah ok not the best but edible and recognizable tasting, the dressing was horrible and dry, the rice and gravy was commercial looking for sure, cabbage was a tad bit too salty, the gizzards were fried and good, some were hard but the chicken livers were excellent, melted in your mouth,”
