“Update #2:We went to give Black Bear another try. This time the service was good and the food was much better than the last time. Will be given this place another try. Hopefully it will be as good or better than this time.Update:Have been going to this Black Bear ever since it opened. This place used to be the best place to get breakfast in south Phoenix/Leveen area. The last year this place has really went down hill. Service is minimal at best, but the quality and quantity has went in the toilet. I understand that you have to make money in your business. But to cut portions and quality of the food is since less. I would rather pay more to keep the quality of food they used to have and pay more for the quantity. I can stay closer to my house and get bad food for the same price than to drive 10 miles to get this stuff. Black Bear Corp should take a good look at the management of this place!!A five star only because there is are no ten stars. These people here are awesome. Very caring and treat you like family. . Or better than family..God bless them“
“The bartender needs to learn to mix drinks, paid for an alcoholic drink and got a "juice"...The food was good, service could've been a little better, but he wasn't too bad. There was kids being super loud and hanging over our booth seat which was annoying“
“I took my wife here for her birthday and I don't think I could have picked a better place. From the food to the service, everything was absolutely sensational.Justin was very knowledgeable with the wine selection and provided us with the best service I had to this day. This is probably the best restaurant I have visited in Phoenix. The food was so amazing I didn't get a picture of everything and had to taste it right away. Thanks Anhelo for a phenomenal experience !“
“Marie F was our server she was super awesome and on top of bringing us everything. even though it was super busy. She met all our needs super quickly and made sure we had all the extra little things like napkins and refilled our drinks. her section was slammed. the food was really good. we had a group of 4 everyone was super happy with their food. my burger was delicious and my guys breakfast was also bomb. Thank you Marie.“
“Valentine has been on my list for a long time so when we finally made it to Melrose for dinner we pulled no punches on our ordering. If we didn't get everything on the menu we were close. The restaurant itself is cute and delightfully photogenic which helps set the tone for a great meal. On the cocktail front, most were good. The only standout to me was the hatch chili margarita served in a glass boot which was as tasty as it was eye catching. Similarly, most of the food was above average with nothing being bad. The Elote pasta is the standout - it was outstanding. Basically this is a carbonara style pasta with Elote flavors instead of the traditional bacon. The execution on this dish is perfect. Prices are quite high for what you get on most dishes and cocktails and if there was more value, I'd likely have a better rating. That said, I'd return and I definitely would like to come back for pastries from the coffee bar if driving by in the AM.“
“Very intimate and definitely one of the better Michelin restaurants I've been to. I will be back and definitely recommend the chefs wine pairing. 10/10 experience staff was very knowledgeable and respectful. Selected the premium add-ons with zero regrets.“
“My second time coming to this Denny's and I regret not leaving a review last time. This time, our server was Emily and she sat us down within 30secs of entering the building and it was on a holiday. I had a pretty oddball food request but Emily said it could be done.Shortly after taking our orders, Emily returned and indicated if I changed one part of my order it would still be the same amount of food but at a cheaper price. Now that's quality customer service right there. The food arrived in a timely manner, everything was as ordered. The kitchen must be black belts in Tae Kwon Do because my meal was kickin'!Emily and the person who cooked my meal should get a raise. After a long day on my feet all day, it felt nice to sit down and enjoy a tasty meal.“
“I just love indian fry bread house, food just be on point hot fresh and delicious ?.Parking: 7th Ave and camelback roadKid-friendliness: Yes they're friendliness and kind, just they're always getting my name wrong but it's ok.“
“We visited based on another friend's review and were not let down. Great food, phenomenal cocktails and fantastic service! Everything was excellent from start to finish. I highly recommend this place for an adult's night out! Shout out to Taylor for the amazing and prompt service all night.“
“One of the better First Watch locations in my opinion, food is cooked right and the service is good. Also helps that they get people in an out pretty quick. Easy option if you're looking for brunch. Four stars since I feel like the food could use a bit more seasoning/flavor but overall a good experience.“
“Although the interior is so charming as to warrant an impromptu tour, the terrace was perfect on a beautiful evening. All dishes were fantastic - our group finished every crumb, from appetizers to main dishes to desserts. For main dishes, the cassoulet was authentic and delicious; the Middle-Eastern Stuffed Eggplant was delicious and beautifully presented on the plate; and the Barramundi stole the show -- a really exceptional plate of fish. Desserts: the Tiramisu was quite good, as was the orange cake, but the bread pudding is a guilty pleasure so tasty and excessive in size that it should be illegal. Service was expert and charming. Great place when you are with friends with something to celebrate or lots to talk about, so that you can linger over cocktails, appetizers, main dishes, and desserts at an unhurried pace.“
“The tacos a amazing ? ?, really takes u into a different world of culture the taste is or almost is the same as the ones I get when I go to Tijuana ??. I highly recommend these.Parking: There is plenty of parking available in and outside on the street.“
“We held our rehearsal dinner in the private event room and then opened the event up for all guests to come have a drink later in the evening. The food was great and the service was amazing. I'm sure it was overwhelming for our server having so many people there, especially since we were mostly mingling instead of sitting, but she never let it show and absolutely crushed it. We got so many compliments on the service and how fun the event was. If you ever want a casual, fun private event I definitely recommend Fate!“
“Fantastic new find for us. we had the shrimp etoufee which was amazing. So authentic and flavorful.. The chicken wings "dankenstein style" were dry rubbed and had am amazing blend of spices. I def believe there was some creole seasoning combined with a tiny bit if faunt sweetness. Seasoned perfectly... honestly my favorite wings ever. not 1 bit greasy, glistening inside. Just crazy. My wife had the chicken Salad which sounds boring, but not this chicken salad. Great service. Friendly owner who was mentored by our fave Cali soul food chef. Just crazy good. We will be back... prob on Wing Wed again lol. A must try. 10 out of 10.“
“Okay this is our favorite spot in Phoenix and one of our all-time favorites ANYWHERE! The whole concept is super creative and the dogs are amazing. Visiting Phoenix for a month and have already been back to Short Leash multiple times. These are not "hot dogs" in the traditional sense (do NOT think Oscar Mayer), but are culinary masterpieces that you get to help build. Brunch is (almost) as mind-blowing and the doughnuts...the doughnuts...oh my Lord, the doughnuts. Never have tasted anything so good. Each time back we've said "best doughnut ever" and then it gets beat the next time around. Indoors has a cool vibe (love the old school posters and all the dog photos) and the outdoor patio is off-street and wonderful in the spring weather. Don't miss Short Leash Hotdogs if you get the chance.“
“I was in the mood for a Corned Beef sandwich and there's nothing good in the east valley. So I looked up Miracle Mile for their location. It was far from where I live which is by South Mountain.I have to say that it was definitely worth the trip. It was the most delicious Corned Beef sandwich ever. I can't wait to go back to Miracle Mile.“
“Phoenix and Scottsdale have been hitting home runs lately with high end restaurants that have amazing ambience, delicious food and unique experiences. On the top of that list for Phoenix is Wren & Wolf. I am blown away by the incorporation of taxidermy into modern decor. The drinks are delicious especially the Shishito one with tequila. Food ranges from super luxe seafood towers, beef wellington, and caviar bumps to steaks and homemade mac and cheese. I’m happy to have this place to come to when I go to concerts and suns games. Highly recommend.“
“I’ve been going to Matt’s for a very long time! I always enjoy the great food and spunky staff. My meal was fantastic but a friend that I was with ordered the avocado toast and well… it looked fantastic on the plate it was one piece of VERY thick cut bread avocado and micro greens. Unfortunately the bread was just too much. And at 12+ dollars probably not going to re order that one. The drinks are great and the rest of the menu seems of good quality! If you get a chance to eat at the airport location do it ?“
“First time here and we felt very welcomed even though we had a bit of a wait. The staff was very friendly, communicative, and consistently checked in on us. For being short staffed, they all seemed to work very well together to get everything done and all the customers taken care of. Efficient. Food was also good and worth the wait. Will definitely be back and will recommend to more people.“
“This place gets our 5-star vote! We are addicted to the Brocolini dish. A definite must. We shared it and regretted that we did. We should have ordered one each!!! We will go back to this restaurant just for this dish. The pork belly was melt in your mouth good!“
“?☀️ Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, Phoenix, AZ ☀️?Rise and shine at Snooze, where breakfast dreams come true! Don't miss their divine blueberry pancakes that are bursting with flavor. The menu offers creative twists on breakfast classics, and the coffee will give you the perfect morning kickstart. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff add to the experience. Be prepared for a wait, but trust me, it's worth it. Head to Snooze in Phoenix for a breakfast adventure you won't forget! ??☕️“
“Farmer’s grilled cheese sandwich is excellent! I got the fire french fries with liquid cheese, fried egg, grilled chicken and sauce/ketchup, which was pretty disappointed with that there was barely any cheese sauce on it yet the fries were mushy. Fries tasted great aside from being mushy.“
“Wife and I walked over from where we are staying around 7pm on a Tuesday. It was a beautiful night and tables were available outside. Our server was great, and the food was probably some of the best we had our visit to Phoenix. We split the artichoke dip and the chicken ranch wrap. Both were delicious. The only thing that upset us was we didn't wander over earlier in our trip!“
“Awesome latenight staff Bernice and Tina! My family is always excited to see them and im genuinely moved by their displays of humanity that really seperate them from the average waiter. Great food from cooks and smiles always at this location!“
“Seems like a secret hideout, every time I come its quiet. I hope they’re doing well though because everything is amazing. I’ve only ever had the pretzels and they are always so good. The beer is top notch. It seems all the other menu items are made with passion, maybe one day I’ll try something else. My one complaint is the hours. They are closed Monday-Wednesday and they close pretty early.“
“We were in downtown Phoenix for a basketball game. It was my brother, his wife, me, and our 4 kids. We had seriously been denied entrance to or told we’d have to leave by 8 or 9pm by FOUR places, because almost everything down here turns to “21 and over only”. It was super frustrating, traipsing around, walking from place to place, trying for over an hour to get our kids some dinner!! Soooooo, this place was amazing!! We weren’t going to get kicked out, so we could take our time and eat without being kicked out! The food was all so fresh and delicious and the beer/cider menu was amazing!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and their dinner! I highly recommend this place if you want to eat with your family downtown and aren’t downtown to drink yourself to oblivion!?“
“We received outstanding service and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.Given the price point of the menu I feel the food could be a bit more unique. Also, the dishes would benefit from being more balanced in seasoning - there was a tendency of every item on the plate having heavy, homogeneous flavor, so taste buds tire quickly.“
“Love the decor and ambiance. The seating makes it feel private. Not a ton of people on a Friday morning. Our server Rachel was lovely and understanding. My friend had to run so we ordered and got our checks immediately. She split our checks and we could pay via QR code which was convenient. The food came quickly. They brought an extra carafe of hot coffee for self service refills. When my friend asked for a to go cup for his coffee, they brought one filled with fresh coffee. The million dollar bacon is worth it! 4 thick slices, evenly cooked with a bit of chew and crisp. The pepper is strong and the maple syrup balances the spice. The BLT eggs Benedict was delicious. I love arugula and the extra toss in lemon sauce added a nice zest to the heavier hollandaise sauce. The egg yolk was runny. Bacon and tomatoes were solid. The side of salad is a nice healthy option that a lot of brunch places lack. A great balance of protein and veggies. Would definitely get this again.“
“Desmond Spirits and Oven in Phoenix, Arizona, is a culinary haven that never fails to impress, and their corned beef plate is just one of the many reasons to visit this delightful establishment. However, it's not just about the corned beef; their shepherd's pie is another standout dish that deserves recognition. The shepherd's pie at Desmond Spirits and Oven is a hearty and comforting classic that is executed to perfection. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, with tender chunks of savory meat, flavorful vegetables, and creamy mashed potatoes coming together in a delicious medley of taste and texture. Whether you're a fan of traditional Irish cuisine or simply appreciate a well-crafted comfort food dish, the shepherd's pie at Desmond Spirits and Oven is sure to leave you feeling satisfied and content. But the excellence of Desmond Spirits and Oven extends far beyond their culinary offerings. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The service is impeccable, with attentive staff who are always on hand to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. In conclusion, Desmond Spirits and Oven is a culinary gem in the heart of Phoenix, and their shepherd's pie is just one of the many reasons to pay them a visit. Whether you're craving classic comfort food or innovative culinary creations, you're sure to find something to delight your taste buds at this charming restaurant.“
“Jewelz was fantastic. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. We had al pastor tacos and a version of mini quesadillas on corn tortillas. Fresh lettuce tomato and avocado on the side with pickled red onions. Service was very good, beer mugs always full and server/bartender was polite and attentive. Would definitely go back.“
“Stopped in 5pm on a Tuesday. Place was packed. That was the first sign this place is awesome. The entire staff was almost tripping over themselves serving the patrons. Very efficiently operated. I seriously believe more companies would thrive if they saw how this place operated. The food was amazing. Daughter had the cheeseburger and I had fish and chips. I must try if In the Phoenix area.“
“Came here today with my family for Sunday lunch. Normally I go to IHOP but today my son wanted Dennys. I was hesitant because my experiences with Dennys is the food is over cooked, sloppy, rushed etc. BUT this location SUPRISED the heck out of me! I had to come leave a review and give this location and EVELYN G their props! The food was Perfect! I had the Berry French Toast, my son the the Philly omelet and the mac n cheese brisket. We had the pleasure to be served by Evelyn, her customer service was great! She checked on us and made sure we were good MULTIPLE times. She was patient, kind, and didn't make us feel rushed (like other services I experienced at other restaurants). This is the ONLY Dennys I'll choose over ANY IHOP!“
“Great service, good food, comfortable atmosphere. I recommend the outdoor seating. We had a 7PM reservation, but arrived early. Though it was crowded upon our arrival, the hostess quickly brought us over to the bar area and seated us. The atmosphere was dimly lit with just the right hint of music in the background. The bar area boasted a variety of spirits, as well as a decent selection of draught beers. We decided to order the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. Not bad. The seasoning was enticing, but they fell apart easily. Still good though try em out.We were seated a few minutes early, and we were immediately greeted by our server. We ordered our food and some drinks to pass the time.I ordered the kobe burger. Cooked to requested perfection. The burger itself was tender and juicy, and was accompanied by a nice sauce - garlic aioli, I believe. Not bad at all, but it sat a little heavy in my stomach all night. In defense of the yummy burger, I did eat shortly before bed. Don't let that discourage you from enjoying it out on the patio.Pricing was pretty much as expected. We still felt like we "got what we paid for." Overall, I would say you should give this place a try if you're near Chase.“
“Actually never been in side once a long time ago ..was nice place friendly bar and good service for the time I was in there ..I'm more a Harveys wine burger sorry McKenzie's but closer to home when out drinking and my driver doesn't have to drive that far“
“Great spot. Our first visit. Place was super clean and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Plenty of beer choices on tap, as well as, some wine. They also have food but we did not partake this time. Comfy place with plenty of tv's, lounge chairs, a couch, and outdoor seating as well. We will definitely be back.“
“On a recommendation I wanted to come here, and I was kind of impressed for such a small space, this restaurant makes the most of the space. Dog friendly, and the outside is quaint with little lights and picnic tables. The food was really well made. You can sit inside or outside (which was so nice!) cute place nice atmosphere and nice prices“
“Sonora Taco Shop has some of the best asada tacos in PHX I highly recommend people to go check them out. Their meat is flavorful and tortillas are great quality and not the prepackaged ones at some mexican establishments. The place is small but serves great tacos which you won't be dissapointed as they use a charcoal grill to grill their meat which gives it a smoky natural flavor they way carne asada should be. Please support this gem in Phoenix they deserve it!“
“The manager and staff of Husswere wonderful. Everyone had big smiles and was very friendly. The servers were helpful resources when it came to learning about the company and really seemed to take pride in it.Huss was started by husband wife team Jeff and Leah over 10 years ago and has grown to one of the biggest breweries in Arizona. She also owned and operated Papago for many years prior, and they are currently rebranding more with the Papago name.I enjoyed all of the food tastings brought out.- chips and onion dip - could have eaten it all night- jalapeno poppers - a little spice but still yummy- black bean nachos - good lite non-meat option- midwestern fish and sidewinder chips - were better. than expected! The contrast with the tender walleye against the crisp cornmeal coating was nice, and thetartar sauce was a great addition with unique flavor- sausage and pretzel board - was my favorite. Rich flavors and great for sharingI would never call myself a beer drinker as I prefer ciders and sours, but I really enjoyed the tasting flight. I believe it was a good representation of the offerings, and each was unique. We tried: the Scottsdale Blonde, Papago Orange Blossom, Hopaloosa IPA, Rio Salado Mexican Lager, and Koffee Kolsch. I was surprised by actually enjoying the hopaloosa ipa, but the Scottsdale blonde was my favorite. It's so light and refreshing“
“Yummy little dive bar with pretty good burgers! The door is around the side and hard to find and the waitress was pretty crass, but burgers were juicy and fries were piping hot. Not a 5 star kinda place. But def worthy of 4 stars. Surprisingly clean for such an old rickety building.“
“So, I tried Missy’s for the first time last week as I’ve always wanted to try it out. Needless to say after trying it last Tuesday, my entire work team got it for lunch Thursday. The wings are next level. You can tell they make their own batter for the wings. And all their sauces are made in house as well. The ranch is phenomenal. Steak fries, hush puppies, all of it. Top notch.“
“This was such a cute spot in downtown Phx! The restaurant was super accommodating with my reservation and even was able to add to my already large party when I got to the restaurant! The service was great, loved the martinis (def try the lavender one, it was so good!). The food was also great and there was a lot of variety so that every girly with dietary restrictions was still able to find something they liked! The appetizers were also large and they were great to feed the table. Recommend the rosemary and sweet potato fries! We also loved the buffalo cauliflower. It looks like this place is a great brunch spot too, we came for dinner but will definitely be checking it out again for brunch!“
“Been wanting to stop in and check this place out for a while. They play good music (underground hip hop and other stuff you don't hear on the radio when I was there). Appetizers were great, I had the artichoke dip and buffalo cauliflower. Draft selection wasn't huge however good choices. I'll be back for sure.“
“Amazingly Fresh. I work in the area over at Shamrock Farms and was looking for a good lunch spot. Saw King's Subs a few times and decided to drop in one day. I think I have been back about 5 or 6 times now! Fresh warm breads and top notch ingredients and the owners are terrific! :)“
“This place is the real one! Breakfast is great! The coffee is great and the service is great! All I have to say is, if you don't come by and try this place, you are missing something that lots of restraunts have lost throughout time, come eat and see why you will be coming back! A+++++“
“Here's another really nice place and it's refreshing because they're open late all days the week. The bartenders will engage you in conversation like the way you think old bartenders should be and the clientele is generally friendly but because it's a late night place there are sometimes a few unscrupulous characters that make their way through but the collective community that frequents the bar at night is top notch.“
“DJ Thursday night played The Specials to Fleetwood Mac. Big patio in the back with lots of seating. Bar has seating too. They have food as well. A dive bar with punk flair. Their parking lot is South of Gracie's, only 10 spots or so, best bet is to come early to snag a spot (like I did) or park in the neighborhood around it using the street parking available. "Chopped Cheese" for $9 was good. Imagine a diced hamburger.“
“Great time for unique drinks with a rotating menu. Amazing service bartenders really make it a fun experience and know how to recommend drinks based on your taste. Drinks are perfect for a date night to make your own adventure trying out different drinks on the menu. I would recommend not being afraid of straying outside of your comfort zone you never know what you might like.“
“Nice meeting room on the south side of the restaurant. Slightly small for our training group. Food burned under the warming lights. We ordered as a group at the beginning of the morning. Food prepped too early, under the heating lights too long. We had a 20 minute window to pick up lunch and get back to the training. Bathrooms were clean, easily accessible. First floor accessibility, +busy+ parking lot. Parking somewhat *limited*. The location entrance is VERY NARROW, combined/one lane entry/exit. 1st time visitors may not see adequate signage in time during heavy morning traffic even for Saturday. Construction in the area & at that intersection is disruptive to "Lope" access. I'm sure the establishment is unable to change the construction disruption. ?Parking: Limited space to expand parking lot. Located on the Northwest corner of an extremely congested intersection under street construction. The traffic light delay at that intersection, seemed quite extended.“
“Had lunch here today before our visit to the museum. I had the chilaquile verde Frida's Fiestas special - it was terrific!! My sister really enjoyed her salad, as well. And our server was wonderful. If I lived in Phoenix I'd definitely be stopping by often.“
“I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Denny’s, and I attribute much of that enjoyment to Andrea, our exceptional server. From the moment we were seated until we left, Andrea’s attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our meal truly memorable. She greeted us warmly and took the time to guide us through the menu, offering great recommendations and answering all our questions with patience. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive and helped us make delicious choices.Throughout our meal, server checked on us regularly, ensuring our drinks were refilled and making sure we had everything we needed. Her timing was perfect, and we never felt rushed, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time at Denny’s.“
