As expected from the Glowbal Restaurant Group, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress made the evening even more special—she happened to be a fellow Swiftie! We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Not only did we receive a complimentary cake as a thoughtful gesture, but she also surprised me with a Swiftie friendship bracelet—such a sweet and unique detail that we’ll always remember. “4 of us ordered the tasting menu which basically it's everything on the menu. It went very well except the last 3 dishes. The fish with cabbage where the cabbage was a bit salty while the fish itself tasted slightly bland. Then the chicken sausage was also a touch overly salty. Then the bavette it's the other way round I would expect the meat to be more tasty. Service was great we did enjoy our evening.”

“Over many years of meals and events, I recently discovered Hawksworth's Cocktail Hour in its cozy lounge. Every seat in the room is a comfy one, though I favour saddling up to the bar. You will always find a cocktail or wine to your liking. We usually order near everything from the food menu. Sometimes wagyu, currently prosciutto, always oysters. Main reason I keep coming back is the people. Service in this space never disappoints. I have favourites, of course. You know who you are...”

From the moment we arrived, the service was truly top-notch—the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and made us feel genuinely cared for. “Long story short, their pasta was the bomb. They make it fresh right in front of you and it’s just an absolute winner. Simple as that. We had pasta in Italy and I would say they are comparable. If you’re a big pasta person, this place is definitely for you. That being said, the almond semifreddo dessert was not disappointing as well. As far as service goes, I appreciate that they don’t come up to you every 2 minutes to ask “how’s the first few bites?” yet all the servers are still friendly and attentive throughout. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. Let me eat my food and if I need something, I’ll let you know. Important to note: if you’re coming on a Saturday, be sure to be there by 4- 4:10pm to make sure you get seated. The line gets really long shortly thereafter. A restaurant with a long line outside will always draw more attention than the empty ones, very clever 😉 So make sure you go early…. And enjoy!”

“The food and drink was absolutely delicious when I went with my friend and partner. We ordered mango sticky rice, cauliflower wings and lychee/peach iced tea. On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. We went in for a quick bite and got exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was beautiful and homey, separating us in a calmer bubble from the busy Vancouver streets.”

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering”

The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!”

Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol”

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.”

“Honestly the best place to go when you're too tired (or lazy) to cook and just crave a taste of Asian-fusion goodness whilst maintaining a single chin and non-oversized belly (no dishes being drowned in oil and msg like other fast food / Chinese restaurants) I've been a regular customer for about 8 years now (only half of the time the restaurant's been around, ~16 years) And I'm impressed at the consistency of the quality and freshness of the dishes. Not to mention the affordable prices (12 - 20 per person) I just hope you can set aside some time to try out the food at Super Chef. They're working really hard to provide tasty, affordable, healthy foods.

My personal favorites are Mapo Tofu, Szechuan dishes, Beef Yakisoba, Curry Chicken and Beef (extra protein!) and their Soy Sauce Chicken (monthly special!)”

“I have celiac disease and follow a gluten‑free diet, so I always have to be careful about cross‑contamination. Before visiting any restaurant, I call ahead to make sure they understand what celiac disease means. I spoke with Raviji, owner of Niravva Indian Resturant, on Victoria Drive, and he assured me the food would be safe for me. Because of cross‑contamination, my wife and I usually avoid Indian restaurants. But last Sunday, we went to Nirvana India Restaurant and we had such a wonderful experience. Opiji came to our table and explained that they prepare all their masalas in‑house and that everything would be safe for me. They even make gluten‑free roti from scratch. It was the first time I ever had a gluten‑free roti in a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm and attentive. We also spoke with Opiji, who even shared a simple tip for making gluten‑free roti at home. For the first time, we felt we had found a safe Indian restaurant for us.”

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. We were welcomed into this cozy little spot with dim lights and lots of Mexican flavour. We started with a welcome shot of their signature cocktail of the week—and WOW, it was delicious! We didn’t hesitate and ordered another. 🍹
We also tried the pescadillas… d e l i c i o s a s! 🤤 The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and over the top in the best way.
We’re definitely going back! And I almost forgot to mention… they have chapulines on their guacamole. YUM! 😋🇲🇽”

“17 people group came ahead of us and there were no table left outside of that group and we all had to wait. Good thing the group was accommodating and didn’t linger, those who were done got up. Your whole group has to be in line to get a seat. It’s not kid friendly, I wish they had some high chair, and the decor was Dragon Ball Z which I prefer it to be more generic and inviting to all. The miso was different but the truffle ramen is what I’ll come back for again. The noodles was unique, thick and delish! But please get atleast one or two high chair it will really help. - should be for every restaurant that allows small children.”

Generous portion and the beef wrap was very tender and full of veggies and flavors. I would definitely return if I'm in the area. One bonus, I forgot to buy a can of soda when ordering so when the food was ready I tried to buy a drink but the guy just comped it for me. What a guy! He even followed up with a food check to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Another note, the pic I took of the wrap doesn't do it justice. One more bite in and it would have showcased the plentiful veggies and sauce inside. Very good.”

The absolute highlight was the Tuna Kimbap unlike typical tuna kimbap made with canned tuna, this one uses fresh raw tuna with crab meat and sesame oil. It was super unique and delicious! The Lunch Sashimi Bento was very neat and fresh as well. Staff were super friendly too. Highly recommended!”

“Our office of 25 did a Chop Chop Beat the Clock with Skript Kitchen in June. Everyone learned how to make a Thai sauce base and we competed in teams to make the best dish. Everyone had so much fun and it was a wonderful team-building experience. Renee was well organized, patient with us (very much needed in a big loud group!) and taught us some little tricks, as well as sharing recipes with us after. Her assistant Camila was excellent with organizing behind the scenes. Seating is a bit uncomfortable for longer periods like ours but otherwise would highly recommend.”

On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. We went in for a quick bite and got exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was beautiful and homey, separating us in a calmer bubble from the busy Vancouver streets.”

We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!”

He was kind, welcoming, and in clear concert with his staff. Every new dish came with a clean plate, and every dish was better than the last. I’ve been around the world twice, and talked to everyone once, but there are flavors I had here that altered my brain chemistry in the best way possible. I recommend the black cod wings, chimichurri yellowtail, and the albacore. Then again, you can’t go wrong here. I leave this restaurant with an appreciation greater than I thought possible. “My client selected the restaurant, and I couldn't have been happier since it had been on my list to try for quite some time.

From the moment we arrived, Sarah made us feel welcome. She greeted us warmly, seated us, and set the tone for a great evening. In fact, I commented that the hospitality was a refreshing contrast to a recent experience I had at Published.

The three of us chose the tasting menu, and every course impressed us. The food was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and perfectly seasoned. The standout dishes for me were the wagyu tar tar, braised short rib, frog legs and the duck with wild rice, all of them were absolutely outstanding.

This was a memorable dining experience, and I look forward to returning soon.”

“As time often has a way of necessitating change, I recently found myself in need of a new cafe/diner to cement as my return stomping ground for visits to YVR; in the last few years, my tried ‘n true favourite cafe and diner both have closed down.

TV Dinner was the result of a casual social media search, but it delivered in a major way.

Nostalgic vibes, charmed aesthetic, friendly team, delicious eats, flowing black coffee, and an authenticity often overlooked these days. This proved a delightful post-flight grounding spot, a few quiet games of crib, a breakfast sando, and the concreted desire to return again.
