We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.”

What a great surprise and a fun way to transition from dinner to the concert we were seeing. The Sports Bar also had staff present to help direct and walk along customers from the sports bar to a near by door for easy access to Rogers arena as a private event was blocking the usual door. This was a nice touch as we feared we would have to wait in the long lines outside in the rain. Once again the team at the Sports Bars went above and beyond. The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!”

Even back then, the service was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the burgers were just as delicious as they are now. The fries aren’t terrible, but when compared to the burgers, they aren’t great. Another complaint is that the new shop’s atmosphere is definitely a bit clinical, which kinda clashes with how warm and welcoming the workers are. Still, that won’t stop me from always ordering a cheeseburger original if I’m even somewhat close to the location”

“Just when you think they can't raise their game any higher Hy's manages to find a way. We attended the Calgary locations 10th Anniversary Celebration on Sept 26th and it was spectacular. The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!”

Oh and the service, I feel weird that I’m willingly paying 20% tip on a dinner. “The three of us and a dog came to Nonna’s Cucina on East Hastings for the first time after seeing it several times while driving by. We each ordered the rigatoni dish and in our opinion the quality was at par with Oca and La Tana. Very tasty and flavorful, and good portions. It was so neat to be served on pretty china instead of on a cardboard container. One of the staff came out while we were waiting at our table for our dishes and he was so kind to give our friend’s dog some bits of ham to enjoy! We are so glad to have tried this place out and we will definitely be returning again soon!”

“Went to visit this store at 2418 Granville Street with my friends and had a great dine-in experience. We ordered a half and half pizza, one side loaded with cheese and the other with my favorite and fresh veggies. The crust was perfect, and the flavours were on point.
A big shoutout to Neha and Ranjodh for their friendly and professional service. They made us feel very welcome, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting.

The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.”

“We had my mother's 80th celebration catered by Eat Heritage, looking for a Chinese traditional feast-type ambience, and the food didn't disappoint. Everybody had favourites, but the duck went especially quickly, and the kids dug into the fully loaded fried rice and veggie spring rolls. Me, I was all about the black sesame balls which people appreciated despite having to eat them as dessert when they were already stuffed. We had a nice mix of vegetarian and meatlover dishes with leftovers divvied up after the celebration. Completely happy with the catering service!”

Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. Second time at the restaurant (lat time was during the rugby seven’s weekend - an exciting time in Vancouver) - first time sitting at the bar (tonight) The kitchen was great to watch, my favourite moment was when two of the cooks bumped shoulders and they took a moment to pause and acknowledge (so great to see such a fantastic team working together). The food was incredible and we really appreciated the table menu with an addition of the foie gras to the night. But this story begins in 2007 when we watched World Cup rugby on a patio in Toulouse France when we had our first Fois Gras. The fois gras was just as good as our first experience - thank you kitchen! Thank you to all the staff but especially to Tina who provided some incredible pairings for the meal!”

“Where do I even begin. This experience was just that…an experience. Every single detail of our meal was meticulously thought out and considered. Chef Lee loves his craft and his passion for quality shows. From the moment you walk through the door it’s clear the night is one to remember.

Lee’s also assisted by his wonderful wife only making the experience that much better. It felt more like we’ve been invited to dinner at their home than at a restaurant.

Every ingredient, plate, cup and detail imaginable was carefully selected. You’re truly paying to watch someone prepare food they love and it last felt in each bite.

I haven’t left this wow’s after a meal in a long time and the recognition chef Lee and his team have gotten is well deserved.
