Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! I don’t know if this is the typical experience, but whenever I go to a fine dining restaurant I end up enjoying the amuse-bouche and appetizers more than the entrees. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck. But not this place — every single dish was executed to perfection, and the mains were the best I’ve had of their kind: the fondue omelette, the pastas, and the fried fish were absolute standouts. The truffle fondue omelette in particular blew my mind. I can’t recommend this place enough!”

We had an amazing experience at Bravo! We made a reservation for 10 PM and arrived on time, not realizing the restaurant closed at 11 PM. We stayed until 11:45 PM without even noticing how late it was, and the staff never once made us feel rushed. In fact, the owner himself was helping to serve, which we only realized while chatting with him at our table. He was so gracious and welcoming—it really added a personal touch to our evening.

We’ve ordered every item (was so good we had to reorder some of them) on the menu and the food was phenomenal, and the service was exceptional. It’s rare to find a place where both the quality and hospitality are this outstanding. Bravo is truly a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!”

The service was amazing, very Japanese, extremely friendly.
We left there elated, a complete food euphoria with tastes so amazing we talked about it for a while. One of the chefs my girlfriend reads up on says that he’s been following the Sushi Hill chef for a while and every time he eats there “my eyes roll into the back of my head”. We certainly had that feeling. Sadly we can now never again go to another sushi place in Vancouver lest we want to eat cold fish wrapped in rice and dead seaweed. But it’s a small price to pay. We’re already scheduled to go back April 12th.”

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol”

“I was given a gift card to Breka. I've never been to or ordered from one, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When I walked up to look at the display case, I was immediately asked what I wanted but I hadn't decided. So service was quick. I had a chicken apricot sandwich and decaf. Everything went smoothly until I went to look for a seat. For some reason there were a ton of crumbs on the bench. It was weird since there was clearly a person wiping down tables...perhaps they wiped it onto the bench? Other than that the decaf was much better than I had expected and the chicken apricot sandwich was delicious.”

“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.”

- chutoro - perfect one bite, the fish was so fresh and soft.
- baked oyster - wow, that sauce. So rich and packed with umami.
- octopus - cooked perfectly. Loved the crispy jalapeño on top.
- scallop - a perfect autumn dish. The lentil ragout was so rich and comforting and the crispy pork was a great touch.
- beef tenderloin - pleasantly surprised by the broccoli purée. I also loved the bone marrow sauce. Beef was cooked perfectly.
- sorbet - great palate cleanser. Loved the touch of grape.
- chocolate tart - so rich so beautiful. Great tart shell but with a rich gooey center.
- shortbread - wow I am obsessed. What a way to end the meal. Perfect chocolate matching the restaurants tiles, caramel center, rich buttery shortbread.

“I had high hopes for this restaurant. Everyone has been talking about it!! It didn't disappoint in a lot of ways. Butter beef was delicious(amazing), beef luc lac was really good as well (but not amazing), two kind of dry noodle??(forgot the exact name but this was just okay to mediocre imo)
And people were going nuts over the wings but they were just okay. I forgot but had better wings(similar style too!!) In Ontario(I wanna say somewhere in marhkam)

I am tempted to try again few more times to explorer to see if there are other dishes that would amaze me. If I can find one more like that, definitely 5 stars.”

“While in Vancouver the beginning of November for medical appointments. My wife and I were undecided on were to eat. We walked out of our motel. Looked across the street and saw the Italian Kitchen, we walked over and asked if they had any seats available, it was a very busy night ,got our seats and our sever was Sam he was very pleasant. My wife and I both so impressed with our meal. If we ever go back to Vancouver I know we're I will be eating.”

“Dockside on Granville Island is my family’s favorite spot! We’ve tried a lot around here, but Thanksgiving brunch at Dockside was a real treasure. Beautiful setting, quiet, with great views, and the food was delicious with competitive prices, actually lower than similar places. The staff was super friendly, though it was a busy morning and felt like they could use a bit more help to keep up. But honestly, it was a perfect brunch, cozy and welcoming. Love this place, and we’ll definitely be back!”

As well, the personal touch and friendly vibe of the chef and team made my whole trip downtown feel worth it. I will build a trip to Mr. Shawarma into my downtown trips from now on!”

“Great place for dating. The environment is like a Japanese bar. Food was delicious. I like the oshi and tempera . Chef recommends sushi 12 pieces is worth to try too. Sashimi and curry noodles were so so. Services are good and gentle.In total I still recommend the quite little place to spend with your lover.”

“We are very excited to have a cafe in the area and during our visit we got a matcha croissant, a cuppa tiramisu, and their hojicha latte. The croissant was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was a very light and thin sweet glaze on the croissant and the flavor of the matcha was very potent. The tiramisu came in a cup, hence the name. In Chinese culture it's often said that our highest praise is, "it's not too sweet." and that perfectly applies to the tiramisu. The drink had a chocolatey note to it and was very pleasant to drink. Service was fast and personable. Their selection of pastries were plenty and would love to go back and try more.

One piece of feedback would be that we felt that there was not adequate seating. Although there were about 10 two seat tables, we saw that there was some empty floor space around a bigger table that could definitely be filled up with more seating. We don't know if it's because of capacity limits but we had to sit outside on the bench to eat. Would definitely come again and would love to see patio seating in warmer weather!!”

But, even though they knew the coffee machine was not working at the moment they charged us normally, not mentioning the issue right away. If we didn't pay attention to it what's going on while we were sitting and waiting to call our names, we would be left without coffee.
They made us tea after that, no extra charge. Either tea or refund they said.”

“Fast and friendly and super clean. Great place to grab late night dinner. And they don’t charge you for every single thing like ketchup. Like macdonals. You want drink? $5. You want lid? $2. You need straw ? $1. Ice $1. Other places will try to charge for everything. It’s gotta stop . Don’t look at me if I’m going to tip or not. 1st time no. If it’s good and come back yeah will give a tip for food and service.”
