“This was a great meal! The side salad/soup/apps/entrees came out of the kitchen fairly spaced out so it felt almost like a fine dining experience. Did take a while so know that it is a whole dining experience - not just a quick meal out to eat. I got the Saba no Shioyaki grilled and liked that better than the sushi my partner got. The tempura was amazing and so was the Age Dashi Tofu appetizer!“

“Came here for the first time and I’m impressed! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the beef teriyaki and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and the sauce was spot on. The presentation was beautiful as well. My wife had the Sushi Salmon Paradise and loved every bite, and my father devoured the Megabite roll. We also had the tempura string beans with onions — crispy, light, and just downright delicious. This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood — you’ve got to try it!“

“My favorite sushi in the Bay Area! I drive all the way from San Jose just to come here almost weekly. The fish is extremely fresh and melts in your mouth. Consistent quality! Peggy and her staff are great people! I can only speak very highly of them. It’s a small place but the vibe is warm and welcoming. Highly suggest stopping here! And ask for the spicy edamame- it’s a secret menu item and it’s amazing! Also great vegetarian options- the eggplant roll is incredible!“

“One of the most delightful spots in SF. Given how incredible the quality of their food is, they could charge more if they wanted to, but they keep it cozy. The Toro Uni Ikura mini-don is worth flying across the country for. The nigiri omakase is massively underpriced and incredible. The tri-tip katsu is light tapas fare (instead of a huge filling portion) that tastes better than what I had in Tokyo. Strong recommend.“

The ramen always has so much noodle. It’s not the best ramen, but it’s fairly cheap, consistent quality, good value. Everything comes out so quickly, and this location is very convenient.

“My partner told me about this place after seeing buzz about it on TikTok. We both wanted to try it and so we dined in on a Friday night. The restaurant offers outdoor heated seating, but we opted for indoors since we brought our baby. Fortunately, the wait was not too long because it sure turned frigid fast.

As other reviewers mentioned the restaurant is quite cozy. They also have a communal high table. We were seated near the window with a high chair. We ordered the frozen beer, potstickers, chicken karaage, maguro bowl and mentai spaghetti for dinner. For dessert we had the apple tart and the Hokkaido cheesecake.

We loved the cheesecake and the spaghetti. While the other dishes were solid, the spaghetti and the cheesecake were the stars! Looking forward to coming back to try the champignon pasta.“

The staff told me for now, the boats are operating fridays and weekends only. While I waited for my to go order, I spoke with a very friendly employee who said the restaurant has been there for thirty years. This restaurant is definitely worth a try. I will be coming back. “I was so happy to find this truck in the empty lot next to Tselogs. I love Benihana so when I saw the Hibachi truck with all their offerings I was so happy. My favorite is the filet mignon plate! They ask you how you like the meat cooked. You get mushrooms and vegetables with the plate and delicious ice cooked in the fat and butter of the meat and veggies! So tasty and flavorful! They give you hibachi sauce which is a spicy thousand islands, not my favorite wish they had the sauce of Benihana. They also give a buttery sauce, maybe they should add garlic and herbs to the butter to make it tastier since it tastes like plain butter to me. Also got the filet mignon and scallop plate, the scallops cooked a little too much so left it dry. Hopefully they have better dipping sauces but for about $35 it's a very hearty and filling meal. You get good quality ingredients! Will continue supporting them!“

“Been eating at this local restaurant since I was a kid & it hits the spot every time! They've been operating for 30+ years & we always feel right at home with their friendly service.

Fish is always fresh, presentation is super pretty & everything we order is yummy every time 🔥 I even got my co-workers hooked and we order party trays for our office lunches time to time.

Got take out this time for a family dinner and ordered some classics along with some of their newer rolls: fried calamari rings, California Roll, Tempura Roll, Spider Roll, Lion King Roll, Aloha Roll (New!), Crustacean Roll (New!), Radiant Roll (New!) and Coral Reef Roll (New!).

They even gave us some homemade dessert on the house (they include these for to-go orders)--these were a not-too-sweet (the best compliment from an Asian household lol) treat to finish off the delicious meal!

“Located near Luckys and Lowes, this is a neighborhood hole in the wall. It’s not an Ichi Ramen (shown in the front of the restaurant) as they just never spent the money to replace the sign. Being said this place gets packed fast especially on weekends. It’s a great spot for rice porridge and other Cantonese comfort food. Guess don’t judge the book by its cover 😉Tried the pork rice congee (hope I spelled that right) and the beef stew clay pot with both the regular and sweet Chinese doughnut. Enjoyed the tender pork and thick porridge. Beef stew was also very tender and savory 😋 I say check it out.“

“Sushi house has been our go-to local restaurant for years. The food is consistently very good and the prices are always reasonable. We really like the recent changes to the menu. Bento box deals are great for hungry families. Lunch specials are also a good deal. I love their newer addition of the poke bowl, which is chock full of fish and seaweed. Another favorite is the truffled tai (Japanese snapper). We love it so much we are there at least once a week! I will add photos next time we go. I almost didn’t want to share my feedback here because we feel it is a best kept local secret though we are noticing more crowds lately. Word must be getting out.“
