“I recently dined at Bodhi Bowl and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of their vegetarian dishes. The menu offered a wide selection of flavorful and healthy options. I particularly enjoyed the creative use of fresh ingredients in their dishes., I would recommend Bodhi Bowl to anyone looking for delicious vegetarian food.“
“Great pho with wonderful broth and tender meat. I got the pho with tripe and steak tips - tripe was super tender (fantastic because tripe has a tendency to be super chewy if overcooked). The noodles were good but I think they were a little past "al dente" if that can even be a term used for rice noodles lol. Overall, really enjoyed my food, and really hit the spot for my craving for pho.“
“I went here for lunch yesterday and ordered their meatball banh mi to go. It definitely exceeded my expectations, the quality and flavor were super good. I would get it again but I'm also interested in trying other menu items. I took mine to go since I work nearby but they do have limited seating inside if you want to eat there. They make you wait outside for to go orders to keep the inside clear for those waiting to order and eating inside which is fair. Also the art outside is cute which is a plus.“
“I been wanting to come to this place for a while and I am so happy I did! They close at 5pm everyday so prepare around that if you decide you want to come! I came around 4:15pm with my brother and the place was pretty empty so we got seated immediately. The place inside is fairly big and had a nice aesthetic! The people working were also soooo nice and made good conversation with us that we appreciated!I ordered the: - Banh Canh Cua: I thought it was sooooo good! I been craving banh canh for a while and haven't been able to find an authentic one in Sac so this just hit the spot! The broth is a bit more thick than other places but I personally liked it!- Banh Mi Chao: I only had a bite since my brother ordered it but I thought it was delicious and I liked how it stayed hot since it came out in skillet!I would definitely come back and try other items and order the banh canh again! I would definitely recommend trying out this place if you want to try authentic Vietnamese food with a "modern" twist! :-)“
“Finally made my visit here. Place was busy and packed when I arrived at 6pm on a Saturday. Had to sign in on the wait list. Waited for about 20 minutes. The establishment was nice and clean. The customer service was excellet! Ordered medium #4, rare beef lean pho. Heads up their prices on their menu isn’t updated with the correct updated one that’s found on their website. Pho price went up $1. The pho beef broth was delicious and wonderful. I was taken back and was impressed! The portion was ok, I was content with it. If you’re really hungry, medium won’t be enough. The veggie condiments that comes with it, the amount was on the small side. I didn’t attempt to ask for more, so I didn’t. All of their wait staff was very helpful and wonderful! Overall, i will be a repeat customer for sure!“
“The service and food are wonderful. My taste buds are screaming " I want more!". The place is very clean and staff goes out of its way to make sure you have a great dining experience! I had the grilled pork broken rice dish with two fried egg rolls and a Vietnamese coffee... cold. I always have enough for another meal. Delicious!!! And yes, you may quote me. 4.5 to 5.“
“When we walked in we were happily greeted by a gentleman. We were quickly to sit anywhere. It's a quiet restaurant with a T.V. on. I noticed it was packed with customers and a lot of orders from Door Dash so that's a plus! Food must be good here! Food was perfect, we ordered the #1 Special Combination, I had the Fat Noodle, husband was with egg noodles. Daughter had the #9 Shrimp and Fish balls with regular noodles. For the appetizer we had the calamari which was crispy! Definitely highly recommended. Services were great and quick! Don't forget to check in for a free Thai Tea or Soda.“
“I really enjoyed the food, drinks, atmosphere and service. Their pho broth was very good, far exceeded my expectations. I also loved their cocktail program.I was a little disappointed in the lack of gluten free options especially for a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. They use soy sauce in a lot of their marinades. It would be an easy substitution to use gf tamari, that wouldn't change the flavor but would make more dishes accessible for gf folks.Other than that, I was very happy with my meal and also my server was very patient and knowledgeable about gluten and helped me find something I could enjoy.“
“Being in the road I eat out alot at times. I'm glad to have found my new Pho spot. Clean, good service and the Beef Pho is fire! If I eat at a spot 2 days in a row it's the one. Today was my second day. I will be back. Mmm... Good!“
“Best bánh mì in Sacramento. The bread is crunchy but soft enough that it doesn't cut your mouth/ is too hard. I love getting the small bánh mì because it's the perfect size and the fillings are perfect. The grilled pork banh mi is the best. Also get the pate so (meat filled pastry) if you never tried it. Something not on the menu is the croissants. They have almond and raisin both HUGE and delicious. Price is also really affordable and service is fast. I've seen people say workers are rude but.. this is a to-go place. As long as I get my food quick. It's all good. LOL. They're just trying to get through people quickly bc it gets packed so fast.“
“Food was amazing! Mango salad was perfectly balanced. Bun Bo Hue broth, condiments and side veggies were delicious. The only thing I would say is that the meats need to be cooked longer so they can be more tender. The escargot was delicious as well but a bit chewy for me. My partner did enjoy the entire platter himself though. The razor clams were perfectly seasoned IMO, but it may have been a bit on the sweet side for my partner. Lastly, the service was pretty good. The owner came by to check on us quite often and made small talk. Overall, the experience was pretty awesome. Give it a try!“
“The food was amazing and the make your own spring roll of two is a lot of food! We got the grilled chicken and the chicken fried rice! Although I am on a diet, there have you enough chicken that would satisfy anyones macros and the flavor is phenomenal! It's small restaurant so be sure to go there before the dinner rush because once we were sitting down a bunch of people showed up.“
“I previously reviewed Andy Nguyen's with a better score for service, but still less than 5. The food is still an absolute 6☆, as is the atmosphere, but the service has gotten even worse. The younger ladies working on Sunday afternoons just don't want to be bothered. They'll take your order and deliver your food, but there's nothing in between. No water refills, clearing of appetizer plates, asking if everything is ok, can they bring anything else, nothing! Except delivery of our bill!!What was worse, the sauce I asked for when my food was delivered was not brought after 3 or 4 minutes, while I watched our server on her phone behind the counter. I finally got up, went inside, and asked for the sauce. I then carried it to my table outside myself, where my food by then was very cold. This was a repeat performance of my first visit. The same scenario happened. They do not care to provide great service or simply don't know what great service is. I go to appease my vegetarian BFF and have been leaning into the lifestyle myself. I like to learn flavors to better mimic them when I'm teaching myself to cook at home. But great food must be balanced by decent service at the very least. In this area, complete fail.Vegetarian options: Vegetarians, this menu does not disappoint. AND on the occasions you want to go out with carnivore friends, this is the place to take us. I loved the food. The fried tofu was my favorite. I also really loved the faux teriyaki beef and noodle dish.Dietary restrictions: While there's a great vegetarian menu, those sensitive to gluten and soy for protein just need to pay attention to what's in the ingredients of each dish. Not difficult to navigate.“
“A hole in the wall vegetarian spot in South Sac. Everything is pre-made and in warming containers behind a glass counter. I think they replenish certain items, but once they sell out, they are done. You just have to point and let them know what size you want. They speak a little big of English and usually friendly. I see the same lady for years.I love the fried tofu (mushroom, lemongrass and plain). I think it's 5 pieces for $1 now. It's a steal and they are well known for their fried tofu. I enjoyed the variety of flavors and texture. The sweet and sour soup with okra, tofu and vegetables is a must doing the cold months. I really haven't had anything I didn't like. The vegetarian char siu taste and look like meat. I don't know how they do it. I also like the spicy eggplant. You can order soup noodles like bun rieu or bun bo hue to eat in there or take home. They have few tables and usually empty when I'm there. They also sell a bunch of vegetarian dry goods and snacks.“
“The Hu Tieu here is very flavorful and they are generous with their toppings. I ordered the N2 dry style which is a $0.75 extra charge . Overall, I enjoyed my food but the sliced pork was pretty dry and the quail egg was over cooked so it was a bit rubbery. I would still come back though since the noodles tasted great and the service was quick.“
“We ate at their downtown location on a Saturday. Parking was hard to find since there was an event nearby. Service was quick. Interior was clean and modern. We were waiting for our party to join us but they ended up at their Natomas location. We had quail (a bit over done, meat was dry), green papaya salad (delicious), and scallops (a bit spicy for me, who can't handle any heat).“
“Recommending the pork spring roll -- it's stuffed with tender and flavorful pork with a nice char on it, in addition to crispy bean sprouts and lettuce, springy rice noodles, and chewy rice wrapper. The peanut sauce it comes with is a little spicy.“
“I come here frequently to pick up banh mi sandwiches. They have a variety of different sandwiches with chicken, pork, and beef. They're made fresh and are delicious. The prices are reasonable and not outrageous like other places. Huong Lan has the best sandwiches.“
“Banh mi, pho, rice plates, bun, bobas and more! I love grabbing banh mi from this place if I can't drive all the way down to Stockton Blvd. I also love some of their speciality dishes like banh cuon. The texture is perfection. They sporadically have desserts as well. You order and pay first. I also love that there's a little shop on the side for Vietnamese staple items. The openness of the shop along with all the windows is nice. Prices are reasonable for location. They also do party trays. The owner is very sweet. Come support this mom and pop shop.“
“Fast casual setting where you order at the front and find your own seat. So far, I haven't had anything that didn't taste good. Their pho ga is full of flavor, although a little fatty. Their pho bo broth is delicious as well, and their bun Bo hue has great flavors. The Bo ne is one of their best dishes, served with side of salad, hot piping banh mi and ice tea. All orders come in one size but they're all very filling! Highly recommend if you're ever in the area.“
“Just recently found this hidden gem. Probably the best pho I've ever had! I like to order No.4 beef pho. Big portion but the price is still lower. It can be very busy sometimes, so after you are stated you have to wait for a while to order and get your food delivered.“
“We always get a box. I always get the chicken salad box with savory dressing. My family mixes it up with either salad, noodle or rice and different meats but they like the citrus dressing. The food is always frsh. I feel good about eating out. We go at least once a month. I am so glad they are nearby. I do call them directly to order since the online services charge a fee. Love this place.“
“The pho was so good and the catfish was so bad. I really wants to give them 5 star on the pho but the catfish was just so bad and really not fresh at all. If you looking for pho in Sacramento come to them but make sure only order their pho. Highly recommend this place for pho and will not order the catfish “
“In a nutshell; If you're craving some good viet. Food and don't want to wait too long to get seated or after ordering, this is a good place to consider. If you've been to any viet. Food establishment, you'll notice most of them seem to give off a very particular ambiance and feel to it that the moment you walk in you'd immediately be like, yup this fits the bill, and this place has that. Parking wasn't all that difficult, was immediately seated, and Food didn't take too long to arrive after ordering. The food was good. Always liked that a small bowl option in most viet. Places is always enough to satiate my hunger, and this place is the same. Unfortunately, none of the other drink options was available at the time besides soda and tea, but nonetheless, the food was pretty good. The service is what you'd expect of that of a local southeast Asia establishment so they won't always be coming by asking if everything's alright, so may have to kind of call upon them which I honestly don't mind but just to note, they are still accommodating and still meet you with a smile.Overall been to the place a few times and it has always been a good experience.“
“Broth was excellent and legit. Noodles ok, sides were fresh. Not a strong broth but very flavorful, not cloudy and clear, not too much fat(I prefer fat) had plenty of meat products. I ordered a combo since it was my first time here. Highlights were the broth and the prices for a large was 10.95. Service was really fast. Tight parking“
“I got the C1 to share with my boyfriend. It was massive, it's the rice plate with everything on it essentially. We got the grilled pork and it came with, egg roll, fried egg, pork floss, sausage, etc. This really hit the spot, especially since we haven't had rice plates in a while. 100% recommend Bon Mua for rice plates, it's always delicious!“
“We ordered the goi ngo sen (lotus root salad) party tray. Small is is $40, and large is $60. Easy to order by phone and the man i spoke to was extremely polite. Like dang I wanted to give him a hug. The party tray was a hit and I will definitely order other stuff from them in the future.“
“Delicious spot for SESAME BALLS! So crisp, perfect and delicious. The best I've had in the long long time. I can't wait to come back to try some of their more savory options. They did have tons of options for my husband who is vegetarian. I cannot believe I had not known of this place sooner. It definitely reminds me of cafes and small fast casual spots my family would frequent when I was younger. FYI - You might not be able to communicate w/ the staff if you don't speak Vietnamese. I did my best to speak clearly and tell them exactly what I wanted "SIX SESAME BALLS PLEASE!" I can't wait to come back for their tofu and soy milk.“
“Best Valentine's day dinner ever. The beef pho was amazing. The chicken fried rice my wife had, was outstanding. The fresh spring rolls were absolutely breath taking. Food service was excellent. Thank you Tony for being our sever tonight.“
“BEST F@&/$Ng Banh mi ever. Besides all the outside "visitors" they really have the best bread for banh mi. They're sandwiches and coffee is soooo authentic. I normally don't go pick up my food but I send my baby daddy there lol.“
“I have enjoyed the food here every time I come. I recommend if you’re in the neighborhood, to at least give this family owned restaurant. Guaranteed it won’t be your last visit here. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. Great job BOBA PHO U!“
“Long time regular customer. Love the food. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed in the customer service today. My order was canceled 30 minutes after placing the order. Either shut down the ordering apps before you open, cancel the order immediately, or accommodate the order even though you are busy. Canceling an order 30 minutes later is so very inconsiderate and created a great inconvenience.“
“Exploring this locale as an out-of-towner, I opted for the vegetarian pho—impressive flavors and incredibly fresh! Despite the modest staff, a quick and efficient service was delivered by a diligent female and male duo. The spot is impeccably clean, although not swanky. While the multitasking waitress, who also handles cooking and cleaning, may not check in frequently, their politeness stood out. I also had a Diet Coke, and the final bill, including tax, amounted to $16.50. Cheaper than most fast-food nowadays.“
“Take out lunch today was excellent! Together we tried five different dishes (take-out). All were great.Everyone noticed the quality of the chicken in the pad Thai — so delicious.Another highlight was that the five orders were packed conveniently in a cardboard box, which made my drive home easy. For the Phnom Penh noodle soups, the soup came in a separate container from the noodles and meat, which kept the noodles from getting soggy. Thank you. Can’t wait to order from here again.“
“There are only 8 guests in the restaurant when I come back this time around since forever. They are specialized in chicken dishes, so I came to order a Scallion oil chicken to go. I asked how they are doing nowadays, she said most people order to go just like me. Chicken is still good. There are new restaurants around just to disappoint me in quality. It's easy to just stay with what I know. Hope they do well. Remember to check pricing with them when you call. All the menu pictures are old. They don't claim the business on Yelp so they have no idea what menu we are viewing.“
“Usually busy when I come here. Small little hole in the wall place that is great to grab lunch. Wait time is comparable to Gold Rush Grill across the street. I wish there was more comfortable seating available to eat at outside. Just a few metal chairs and tables. No indoor seating. That being said, food is fantastic and service is always good.“
“I went to this restaurant for the first time with my wife and friends a couple nights ago. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation, however they were able to squeeze us in after a few minutes (this was at 5:05pm after they just opened). We were glad they were able to seat us. We were impressed by the food, it was really good. I’ve been to Vietnam and I always enjoy eating Vietnamese food. This place definitely had tasty food and I would definitely come back.“
“Five stars to encourage them and hope they can stay around. Writing this after 3rd time trying. First time was right when they just opened and everything was chaos. Second and this time were good. My husband and I tried Bún riêu, BBH, and Bún mắm. The food tasted good. In fact, my husband said this is the best BBH he had in the area. The ambience is nice and clean. One can clearly see that they tried. And I appreciate the places when I can see the clear efforts. I wish them the best bc I sure hope they stay around and give another option we can pick from to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. One thing I have to note is maybe experiment more with the menu, add more or really market your best dish. Before you drive in more traffic, not sure if having Bun Riêu only during the weekend is the best move ... Just my two cents“
“A nice Vietnamese restaurant in the area. The waitresses are nice & friendly. We had the pho Dax biet large size & it was a refreshing broth. The price is quite more expensive if compared to other Vietnamese restaurant. But definitely worth to try.“
“I'm a pho lover, so I have tried out lots of places but I got to said that this is one of the best pho places that I have tried in Sacramento. Definitely recommend it especially if you want to get good pho early on a cold morning because they do open early than other places.“
“I live in the Bay Area and have had many Vietnamese restaurants. I was in town and saw this place by chance. It turned out to be the best Vietnamese food I've ever had! Now I'm looking for an excuse to take the 2 hour drive to Sacramento to eat here again! I had the vegitarian crepe, and my daughter had the chicken pho. We also shared an order of vegetarian spring rolls. All 3 I highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Delicious“
“My go to dish is the crab noodle bun rieu, never fails. Second favorite is wonton noodle ? super yum. Wonder how the bun bo hue taste, I'll try that next time. Wanna try the crab udon soup banh canh cua too, but I backed out every time cuz of the price lol. Maybe one day I'll try that...“
“Lovely atmosphere and outstanding service! The spring rolls with pork and yummy peanut sauce were delicious. Chicken stir-fry also delish--vegetables were cooked yet still slightly crispy. Pho broth very tasty. Pleasurable dining experience“
