“Love coming to this place with my family or friends. We often do family styles here and order a variety of food. I love how they give a side of fish as a banchan, reminded me of BCD tofu house in SoCal.”
“I’ve always loved Italian food, especially good lasagna. Recently finding this place in San Bruno we had to try it. This place is absolutely amazing on both food and service. I’ve been to top restaurants in the city that do not have as good of service or food as West Coast. Keep up the great work, you guys are phenomenal!”
“Wasn't a fan the first time though the cousins were. Enjoyed it much more the second time.
The first time we got medium spice for most of our dishes and was really struggling. So the second time we got mostly mild. But the mild had no spice at all. Would love if there was an in between spice level.
* Papadi Chaat - medium spice. Crispy. Cold. Didn't know there were spice levels for chaat. This is not a main menu item but instead a special we saw taped at the counter. Would get again
* Aloo Tikka Chaat - medium spice. Mixes really well with the papadi chaat
* Chicken Vindaloo (mild) & Lamb Vindaloo (medium) - both the vindaloo sauce came out tasting completely different. We don't know if it's because of the spice level or the fats from the proteins but it was different. We enjoyed the lamb vindaloo more.
* Chicken korma (mild) - good
* Paneer tikka masala (mild) - favorite but would have liked a little spice
* Chicken biryani (mild) - good
* Garlic naan - have garlicy. Not too oily. Crispy.
All curries comes with rice if you ask for it.
There are specials on the counter.
Free endless chai.”

“I’ve been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi spot since my favorite one in Burlingame closed down (RIP). This is currently top of my list for when I’m in town with colleagues. Great service and ample parking. Easy to get to and plenty of delicious items on the menu. Good variety of sake as well.”

“The service here was exemplary. The moment I walked into the store, I was greeted with a smile. The drinks were made right in front of me. I can smell the freshness of the sugarcane as it was being made. We ordered the drink with calamansi. This drink took me back to Vietnam where I grew up.”
“first time trying this cute little spot, only ordered tacos and would definitely come back.
- tongue ( tender and soft, not too gamey)
- shrimp ( my favourite, ordered 3)
- al pastor ( also got 3, delicious)
- carnitas
- asada
You would not regret ordering them as “taco especial” (guac, sour cream, and cheese) if you can.
I love their chips & their self serve sauce corner.”

“Atlas is a unique place. I’ve stopped by with friends for an event but not really had the full Atlas experience until tonight. I had one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! The Italian garlic combo! Friendly staff, wine and beer, tonight there was live music on the patio area. Max the owner is a wonderful host who is very active in the San Bruno community. Atlas is bringing good times back to down town San Bruno. Make it one of your first post pandemic stops!”
“Love their service and their sashimi and sushi. Very good and !”

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out). The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. We will be back.”
“Who doesn't love pie. Maybe the pied piper
Cream pie ? . Just not in the morning . No sugar in the morning unless Sharis is giving away free pie. Atmosphere is dennys except more pie. If you wanna say sorry after a lie don't go empty handed bring them a pie. If you always tell the truth then buy a pie and shave it in your face cuz your lying”
“Staff was attentive and helpful and the items we ordered were all delicious”
“I came to stay at a hotel near the airport and had dinner at a restaurant nearby. The food and side dishes are all delicious! After eating satisfying Korean food, we begin our trip to San Francisco.”

“I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet as I thought I did.
This is probably one of the best places for Dumplings (水饺) because they are delicious here. The price is decent and you get to see them making them because someone is always making them nonstop.
Service is good enough but the place is very small and parking can get annoying unless you get lucky and found parking right outside.
However food wise I like almost all the options because the dumplings are very good and they are fresh. There are many different options so I suggest you go with a couple of people so you get to try multiple choices.”
“Family run spot in San Bruno. Located on El Camino Real, it's easy to miss if you drive by.
The restaurant itself isn't too large, but there's seating for groups of all sizes. The menu is pretty extensive and has a good variety. We ended up getting a sashimi combo, one roll, and the lamb appetizer.
The sashimi itself was pretty tasty with no fishy smell. We got a good variety of sashimi, but my favorite was the salmon. The lamb was delicious as well and we're a good size.
Service is good and the staff is nice. We got our drinks refilled often without us asking.”
“Good taco salads here in their San Bruno location. It was $11.29 + $2.49 for the added steak. That crispy flicky taco shell revivals the best of them. Free chips! If you want to mix it up, their mango salsa is a very unique La Salsa thing. They tend to get rid of the mango salsa during the holiday season though. Plenty of seats and service was excellent for a counter ordering restaurant. The cashier is also the chef.
About La Salsa, I used to visit their SF Battery St. location near my office in the 2000's before they closed. Also previously in the 2000's, I used to visit their Mountain View location every other Saturday before going to Fry's Electronics. Their food is healthy if you order the right things.”
“WOW, this place is a hidden gem! Casual mom-and-pop atmosphere and decor, affordable prices and HUGE portions! The bbq pork vermicelli bowl is phenomenal, they sauté the usual crushed peanut topping in garlic and sprinkle on fried crumbs from their egg rolls, it's delicious! Also, the egg rolls are homemade and twice as big as the standard finger-sized one is you get elsewhere. We are definitely coming back.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Phil Taylor is a wonderful Host. He cordially welcomes songwriters from all over the globe to perform songs in the round style. It’s a great way to share one’s music and meet other like minded folks. I had a wonderful time 1/7/23. Looking forward to a future opportunity to perform my music. I definitely recommend this group.”
“Very delicious ? mouth watering yummy pizza!! ? we pumped gas and saw this little restaurant across the street and decided to stop by since the reviews were amazing and it was so worth it, the restaurant was clean and the customer service was on point! And the buffalo chicken and bacon pizza was fire ? must try if in the area.”
“Sesame chicken was the best in town and very large portions. What sucks is the parking?
Parking: Parking sucks on the street. You have to pay or you’re get a ticket. There’s no free parking only at Starbucks for 10 minutes but everywhere else you have to pay. It’s a big mess for San Bruno.”
“Please open a location in Southern California!
Filipino is my comfort food and this was comfort to the max. I dined here with family and we enjoyed the food and venue. Our servers were very attentive and refilled our water and rice without our asking. I ordered the kari kari with crispy pork belly and it was an experience nearly identical to that of the moment the Ratatouille food critic had when he bit into the bite of Remy's ratatouille dish.
The only bit of constructive feedback I had was that I wish the tables had lazy susans. My family and I ordered several different dishes and it was a workout passing serving dishes around and/or reaching across the table. Other than that, everything was a delight.
I'm excited to come back next time I'm in the bay area!”
“The young lady that served me was very good. I definitely enjoyed the spinach mushroom omelette. I’m not sure if it’s because this IHOP was on the West Coast in San Mateo, but they definitely did not skimp on the mushrooms, spinach, and hollandaise sauce. Also, the breakfast potatoes were very crispy without being burnt.”
“My favorite kind of dive bar - dim lighting, cheap drinks and strong pours, and full of regulars nursing their beers and chatting with the bartender like old friends.”

“Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food for the affordable price! Ordered the shrimp bento with an additional topping of teritaki chicken. The meal was. So tasty, I didn't need to add any additional condiments to elevate the flavor.
Indeed, the teriyaki chicken was very well prepared. Shrimps were tiny but very tasty. And the accompanying dragon roll and fried gyoza was worth every bite!”
“Julissa was the party host for my son birthday on July at chucks cheese on to el Camino location ! She accommodated all the food gift and games and GRC and the best part is the chunky cheese bunny and we took great pictures and had a wonderful time for my son ! Julius’s has excellent customer service and I really really appreciate the extra effort for my son birthday party and everyone was amazed with my invited guest”
“Only had the pizza, wings, beef lamb wrap and fries so far the few times I was at Tanforan. Fries were decent, wings were good (not dry), pizza was great (love thin crust), and the meat in the wrap was good, not dry and the wrap was very filling and wrapped tight. Overall I’ll give 5/5, and the staff was very nice as well. Will come back again if I gotta pick up another game or watch movie”
“BEST coconut chicken hotpot I’ve ever had in the bay!!!!!
The soup was made with fresh coconut - they cracked the coconut and added the coconut water into our soup. We could also eat the coconut meat inside - it was so fresh.
And then they added chicken - the soup was just HEAVENLY. As a person who is from the region where coconut chicken was originated, I 100% approve its authenticity!!
And the price was soooo good too - $35 per person!”

“We LOVE Ninja. Found them while living in San Bruno and haven’t stopped visiting since. We’ve since move and still go or get takeout when we want delectable sushi. The rice is always soft, fish is always fresh and the specialty rolls are perfect.”

“Excellent food served by volunteers who are part of this wonderful monastery. This is a nonprofit organization. You can also go in and meditate. The food is delicious. The volunteers are kind and helpful. They accept Venmo or cash donations for the food. Outdoor seating available. Extensive menu. Pork and Thai coffee was delicious!!!”
“Only got their popcorn chicken for a mid-afternoon snack. Nicely fried and good flavor. It comes without any chili powder so you can adjust yourself. The store space itself is kind of sad - very barebones and a little iffy on cleanliness. Would come back for more fried chicken if the craving hit.”
“Came to try this place after noticing it while ordering Korean Fried Chicken next door. It's in the strip mall next to 280 on San Bruno Ave. Place is huge, a little dark, and I haven't seen it being crowded ever. Do note that they are closed on Sunday which is really weird for most Asian restaurant.
The food is decent but nothing special. Don't think the soup is from actual bone soup but with the price I don't expect them to. They however gives you a lot of meat for the price. I feel like I got a decent deal. Service is also good. You do have to pay at the counter.”
“Ricopan impresses with more than its delectable pastries; it stands out for its remarkable community engagement. Each visit feels like a warm embrace, highlighting Rico’s role not just as a bakery but as a community pillar. Their commitment to giving back is evident, making every bite of their exquisite desserts feel even sweeter. Ricopan is truly a beacon of both culinary mastery and community spirit.”
“Came for dinner with my husband as we stayed one night near the airport. My husband had the roasted duck noodle soup and I had the shredded duck meat stirred fry noodles. Both came very fast and in a very generous portions. The roasted duck noodle soup was delicious but my shredded duck meat stirred fry noodles was just ok. There’s only little shredded duck meat and tasted quite bland. The price was ok and very friendly staff. Not bad for a quick meal.”
“This place has been around for years but surprisingly, this was my first time here. When you walk in, it gives off the vibe that it used to look like the elegant but homey vibe. It still has the same vibe just a little worn. From the outside it is definitely a hole in the wall, you wouldn't think it was that big from the outside.
I think we were one of the first ones here? We were greeted and seated right away. It wasn't too busy when we went but you can see the regulars slowly coming in.
We ordered:
1. Nilagang bulalo - Hot and fresh for the cold afternoon. It was very meaty and had a variety of vegetables like carrots, potato, and bok choy
2. Pork sisig - I'm not sure why I was expecting it to come out sizzling, surprisingly it didn't. After mixing it the flavors were on point. It was the perfect amount of spiciness from the jalapenos, crunch from the onions, and saltiness from the soy sauce. This is one that I highly recommend, maybe even with a fried egg on top or garlic rice. It's also perfect as is with steamed rice.
3. Pinalutong tadyang- I thought this would be crunchy and hard. It was the opposite, it was tender and didn't need much to get it off the bone
4. Pancit bihon- I liked there was a lot of noodles and not all vegetables like some places.
Service was good, food was delicious, and reasonably priced. A lot cheaper compared to filipino restaurants nearby. It's not bougie, it's home style cooking good ol comfort food. I will be back soon and try their other items. The breakfast plates people were ordering looked delicious and the portions were generous.”
“Honey milk tea w/ mini boba & mango popping boba (left), Rose milk tea w/ mini boba (right) and sweet potato fries. Loved both drinks! This has been my go to place for boba drinks but for the fried snack options, I wish they were less greasy.Highly recommend the additional topping of mango popping boba for a fun little kick to the drink. They also have the option for a strawberry popping boba.”
“Awesome little joint! It’s called Texas BBQ but it’s actually quite authentic for its Chinese Northwestern / Halal style BBQ and other dishes. Make sure to get the meat burger & lamb skewer & lamb offal soup, so good!”
“The charcoal grills are a new experience for me. It was awesome! Food was delicious! Service was great! My only complaint would be for the ventilation to be better/stronger. I know to expect to smell like KBBQ after, but I think ventilation can be improved.”
“I heard about this spot because every place I tried in and around my area hasn’t matched boiling crab to me especially their Shebang sauce but I will say their food was a delight! Their sauce for their seafood was spicy good but I’ll take Shebang sauce over theirs because it leaves a taste on your palate wanting more. I will say these guys food was tasty, portions were perfect and it was fulfillin to my stomach which I tried to taste what I wanted on the menu and I enjoyed every bite. Service was a 5 star because the servers were attentive ready to serve and that for me was impressive. I’m definitely going back to try more on their menu.”
“Pros: Fresh and good food. friendly staff, very affordable Cons: Hard to find a place to park in that part of town.”
“Dear San Franciscan,
