10 Best Wineries in San Diego

Négociant Winery Winery • $$
1263 University Ave, San Diego

“I love Negociant! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The best time to come here is when they have live music. I feel like the food can be hit or miss. I've come before and planned to eat only to find out the kitchen is not open that day, but when that has happened, they let me bring in food from outside. Wine is reasonably priced. I like doing the wine flight so that I can taste a variety of things before settling on a glass of something.“

They have a full menu of many different and delicious meads and even offer mead cocktails. If you want to have some food with your mead you can order from “Pizza Cassette” and they will bring it to you inside the meadery…win!“

Charlie & Echo Winery • $$
8680 Miralani Dr #125, San Diego

“I have some love for this place in my heart since it was one of my first wine club memberships when I was going to school in San Diego. A really sweet couple owns this place, and they always have a great variety of their own self-made wines. They are always a joy to chat with, and they also try their best to do all sorts of fun collaborations and events where they pair their wines with various meals. It's always fun to come through! The place is located in a small plaza in a converted warehouse, and the surrounding shops are also very fun to check out. They're also dog friendly if you want to take your dog to go wine tasting with you, and also it's pretty fun to pet the regulars' dogs as they come by. They always have some really interesting experimental drinks to try out. If you're into really conventional stuff this place probably isn't for you, but if you're willing to experiment then this place is it!“

Gianni Buonomo Vintners Winery •
4836 Newport Ave, San Diego

“I have been a Fedora member of Gianni Buonomo Vintners since late 2015, and have always enjoyed walking in for a glass of wine locally, in my OB community. Al and Mark, along with the winemaker/owner Keith, are consummate hosts and always make us feel at home. I look forward to my thrice yearly wine allocation and am happy to stop by a couple times a month to check in on the happenings. I also appreciate how dog friendly this establishment is, as there are many doggy regulars, that I am more than happy to pet.“

Pali Wine Co. Winery • $$
2130 India St, San Diego

“I've been there now two times for the comedy show on Wednesdays I love the show and the comedians are funny. It's awesome that it's a free show and no minimum purchase required. The last time I didn't do a review but this time the food was pretty good. They serve interesting options. Wish they had a flat bread or something, the patata brava is really good! The tuna tartar was pretty tasty, and I had the persimmon caprese with burrata and it was missing something not sure but it was an interesting taste. I liked the vegetarian options seem to taste good!“

Petite Shirah

“Food was fantastic!!!!Service not so much. Difficult to get anyone willing to clean off a table for us to sit even though my husband was holding our salad sitting next to an empty table. After asking 3 people found someone willing to take the dirty dishes away but not willing to wipe the table off. Food was delicious and delivered in a timely basis.“
