“We used to eat dinner here on our way to Davies Symphony Hall 15 years ago. We moved away and just came back this week for a mini vacation. We took a chance today and it was as delicious as ever. We had the chicken kebab plate and the lamb kebab plate and 2 cans of soda for $48. What a bargain. The food is fresh, healthy and plentiful. The flavors are wonderful and the service is very good. It’s clean and neat inside—truly a little gem.“
“Fantastic Sunday brunch. Was able snag the small area outside for a party of four. Service was swift and food was excellent. A very filling meal for a reasonable price.Dishes were delicious. Maybe the burgers/sliders could use a tad more salt/seasoning but they are indeed juicy and never dry in my experience.Get any type of potatoes and they’ll be prepared to perfection.And the desert/treat dishes were a nice finish. Kunefe with some salted caramel gelato is a wonderful combo.“
“I tried the Panos burger, I never had a burger like this before. The ingredients used work well for the burger. I would recommend to come try this place out. My sister got the same and enjoyed it. My mom got the Dolores omelette and enjoyed it as well. Portion sizes are match well for the price.“
“Great experience with Greek-inspired bowls. The meats in a salad bowl keeps things "light".This location can get pretty crowded and the chairs can be difficult to pull in/out. Squeezing between chairs can be tricky.Neighborhood was fun and felt safe here (early evening).“
“We love Ivory and Vine. Hassan is an amazing host, tirelessly running around taking care of everyone! The food is really wonderful as well. The house red is fantastic, and the pour you get is plentiful!! And then, of course, the music is varied and great. Only complaint is it can be at times too loud, but then there are the outside seats (with heaters). A really fantastic place to spend an evening!!!“

Please drop by and show some love, chicken salad comes with a lot of protein and is fairly priced for the area.Old review: I had a hunkering for Mediterranean-style cooked meat and fries. This place hit that spot.Located in FIDI on Battery (between Pine and Battery/Bush intersection). Went at noon and the place was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Slight wait for my food after ordering but that's expected at noon.Food was good and reasonably priced. Ordered the Greek plate with chicken. Came with a bunch of fries, meat, a big dollop of tzhiki (sp?) sauce and some pita bread. It was good.I'll be back to try a salad next time. 3.6 stars that rounds up to 4 stars for the service.“

I wish people would be more considerate, and realize that there are other people in a restaurant. Otherwise, the food and service was very good. “This place was fine. We were able to make a reservation which is nice. The staff was friendly if not super attentive (we had to ask for the check). The food was good and came quickly. We ordered the Kale salad which was quite good and a good sharing size. We also got the dolmades which were just average (not bad, but not a lot of flavor). For our main meal we ordered the mixed grill which was a nice size to share. Everything was cooked fine (the chicken was a little 'over') it just lacked flavor overall. No idea if they have desserts because we weren't offered any and then we had to ask for the check and head out to our show. The atmosphere was good (if a little dark), the food was fine, and the prices were decent. If someone suggested we go there again I'd be fine with that, but I probably wouldn't recommend it since there are so many other options to try in SF (or even just on Polk street).“
“The food is pretty average (I usually get the lamb wrap and it feels pretty healthy, but sometimes a bit dry)... but that baklava froyo is to-die for. It's fast Mediterranean, so you order at the counter and get your food quick -- but there's also only a few options on the menu. I've been to multiple Souvla locations (Mission, Hayes, Marina) and the quality has been pretty consistent across shops. The inside atmosphere is nice -- clean tables, self-serve water, usually not super packed and easy to find a seat. All in all a good casual spot when you're looking to grab something quick either alone or with friends“
“Living in the Sierra foothills, I don't get much opportunity for Mediterranean food so was craving it this SF evening. When I walked into NB Gyros, I smelled that unmistakable but unfortettable aroma of grilled meat so I ordered their grill sampler. I also ordered an appetizer of baba ganoush and a cold Stella Artois.The baba ganoush arrived quickly and I devoured it. I'm no expert but this was so delicious and I wanted more. Next, the grilled sampler came and I was amazed at how much food was included. There were two varieties of chicken, beef, kofte, and lamb, rice, salad and pita. All the meats were flavorful and had that delicious char I was looking for. The chicken was a little overcooked and dry but still delicious. I couldn't finish this big platter so was offered a take-away box, which I gladly accepted.I know I'll return because the service was fast and friendly, the atmosphere was open and welcoming and the food was delicious!“

“Came for a quick weekday lunch. I ordered the lamb and beef gyro plate (came with white and hot sauce) and baklava the size of your thumb. Good portions and prices are reasonable as you would expect eating in FiDi. Meat is seasoned well. Pilaf rice is bland but cooked properly.“
“Detroit style pizza is great. They make amazing cheese. During baking, the cheese melts completely into the pizza, and then it becomes chewy and delicious. For those who haven't tried it, don't hesitate and definitely try it. This is very excellent.“

“A standard diner atmostphere- very clean, though not immaculate and that is probably because they hadn't had much of a chance to clean up from some previous customers- I was not bothered. I give three stars for atmosphere because it is an average sort of diner experience- but also I wasn't looking for anything too fancy- it is partly why I came. The staff is very friendly and accomdating- great service, and fast. I had the gyro with fries and the food was excellent! The gyro did not come with fries- they are ordered seperate and the drinks are cans and bottles from a large glass refrigerator. The order of fries cost about $5 and is seemingly a little small for that price- but they are very good- so I was not displeased. They are served in a cardbaord box- which is the perfect way for them to travel, allowing them to breathe and not become soggy from steam- and that is expert packaging, for fries- I know this. They are thin-style and slightly crispy- perfectly cooked. The gyro was large and more of a wrap style than 'taco' style- which made it less messy to eat than from other places I get gyros from- it is also expertly wrapped in tin foil. The hot sauce they gave me was *very spicy- I liked it very much. I came here because it was the closest place to where I was staying and I was exhausted and my feet hurt really bad, and I discovered my hotel did not have room service. Took the food back to my room and was very pleased with my meal- ended a stressful day with a smile. I will return here when I am in the area, again.“

“For a quick fix of Greek food, Souvla is definitely the place to check out! The salad was savory, tangy, and the chicken itself had so much flavor. The fries were crisp on the outside but soft inside and perfectly fried to my liking. Seating was a little tight given it was busy and had limited seating but we were still able to sit down and eat.“

Seriously who locks their doors before class starts with lights off and leaves just their dog roaming in the lobby? Ordered at the tablet but I also see some people paying with tickets, not sure where they bought the tickets and whether it is a better deal. Got the combo plate $18 which is a great deal for a huge amount of food -soft pita, well-seasoned chicken and beef shavings, salad, fluffy rice, and plump fries plus a side of hummus. Everything was so good and satisfied my halal craving. If it is not so difficult to get to this part of town, I'd be back on the regular.“
