The chef, Lance Toro, is so friendly, and has a real passion for providing a superior culinary meal. He makes fresh sourdough bread daily, which he uses for his sandwich prep and croutons. He smokes Chicken daily, as well as other meats as needed, also for meal prep. I ordered chicken with smoked Gouda panini... amazing!! Also ordered Turkey chili... also awesome ? i will be back, probably to try everything else on the menu. This is a nice lunch-type business, but I think Chef Lance can accommodaye any request, with a little advanced notice“
“Driven past this spot for years. So I decided to take the plunge, so to speak and have a go at it. I tried their fish and chips, and they were amazing. The portions were awesome and well priced. The service was fast and friendly. It was pretty busy, but my food was out pretty quick. The peri peri sauce was a new find for me and I'll get that in the future. Their menu is wide ranging, and the beer and drink menu looks quite extensive as well. Also, the bar itself is pretty cool, and lots of rugby memorabilia there too. Pretty cool crowd. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. “Went on a Sunday for brunch and there was a hefty wait around ~1-1.5hrs, which was completely expected for the area. We were fine with waiting as there's a lot of neat shops to explore and farmersmarket in the area. We ordered the breakfast burrito, spicy chicken sandwich, ceviche, and pepperoni pizza. The ceviche comes with homemade huge taro root chips - which was a nice touch! Everything was delicious but the chicken sandwich was really wet - to the point of needing to eat with a fork and knife. I personally would not order it again as it felt a bit too soupy for me but overall everything was tasty. Service was great and friendly. We sat outside as we had our husky with us - the place was very dog friendly outside.“

Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. “I like this place. They have a great wine selection and their charcuterie and small plates are delicious. The Marcona almonds are well flavored/seasoned. The olives are also well-marinated. Their meat board contains delicious selections of cured meats and cheese with some sweet jam. All of these items pair nicely with their Chilean red, which is a reasonably priced and tasty bottle. I've only eaten inside but they have a nice patio in the back. The inside is dim and cozy. This is a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. It's not cheap by any means, but they deliver solid service, food, and wine. Enjoy!“
“Kali is a one Michelin-star restaurant and a delight to eat at with friends on a weekend night. If you're craving a Michelin menu but don't want to wait months in advance, highly recommend Kali! You can find spots on weekends easily on OpenTable even last minute. That being said, it's not my favorite of the one Michelin stars simply because of price- the price it places on its tasting menu puts it solidly in the two-Michelin price range for only a single Michelin star. If it lived up to the two Michelin price, I would feel differently. However, the menu (with some hits and some misses) was solidly in the one Michelin category, which is a still a big compliment to the chef and Kali team. The perks of Kali is that you can focus on the flavor and the food, rather than the high-end service; Kali is the most down-to-earth Michelin restaurant I've been to and it's a nice break from steam-pressed napkins. Chef's Tasting menu as of March 2024 Beach house- favorite Beef tartare with egg yolk sauce, and cuttlefish sauce- favorite Market salad Celery root with side of homemade sourdough loaf with rosemary butter Cod was replaced with a pork ravioli with truffle shavings Added uni pasta, which was an absolute fan-favorite and would be worth going back for Cheese crisp was too salty and too strong, not a fan Egg white gelato was the hands down star of the show, I would have licked my plate clean (Probably missing a few items because I gave up on taking notes midway through and Kali doesn't provide a typed menu afterwards like most other Michelin restaurants I've been to due to their daily exchange of local ingredients) All in all, Kali was a delight to be found in Hollywood. Truly California eating, and as our wonderful server said, the chef shops weekly at the local farmer's market and subs in ingredientes on the menu accordingly. Wonderful vibes and tasty uni pasta!“

“I think this is about the best French restaurant in California or perhaps the US. This was not the intended destination, but my friend and I were extremely glad that we went, since we're Francophiles!! They feature classically French dishes, but also Italian, making it a bit of fusion cuisine. Okay, a mojito is not French, but it was one of the best I have had in a very long time! I stuck to French cuisine. Started with soup a l'onion. Delicious! A lot of gruyere and the right amount of onions, bread and soup. Next were the escargots in olive oil with a lot of garlic! Yum! Main course was the mussels! Those had to be the largest, most succulent mussels I have ever had! They came with fries, but you really didn't need them. I brought them home. Last was the Napoleon or mille feuille. Creamy! There were three layers: one with just the cream, second with strawberries, and the last with nuts. Wow! Never had one like that!The proprietor was very kind. He brought us our drinks and was very kind when we spoke to him in French. Wait staff was very courteous and we felt no pressure to eat and leave. To show how good this place was, we ended up sitting next to a well known French actor. My friend recognized him first. They say that if people of the same nationality as the restaurant dine there, it's usually a compliment to the restaurant and a testament of the food. Well, that may be so, but we Francophiles will definitely be dining again at this restaurant! Merci beaucoup!“

Crispy outside, soft inside, well seasoned. Mildly curious aioli pair well. Not perfect. Maybe needs another sauce? Seared Hokkaido Scallops - Scared green curry would overpower delicate scallops, but texture remains in tact. Curry pulls out creaminess. Delicate, but flavorful. Warm and clean. Scallion paratha is so necessary to give heavy depth! Cheesecake - Yooo!! Creme Brule is my fav and this is rivaling it! Bright and tart while velvety with deep. Not heavy! You'll regret not getting. We stumbled across Three Borders Grill. My husband ordered a Tronnquito and after explaining that I'm a vegetable and either chicken, beef, or fish eater, #37 was recommended minus the black beans and rice. OMG does not describe the deliciousness of what was put in front of me. Everything was garden fresh, including red, yellow, and orange peppers, brocolli, asparagus, and a large amount of chicken. We both were amazed at the presentation and the flavor. We also had 2 all-natural drinks with our meal. Mine was orange based and my husband's was pineapple. Very refreshing with no sugar added. Then, they prepared a fried banana for us to share, but without the sugar they usually add. I can't recall a more satisfying dining experience and we just stumbled across this gem. We chatted with the owner and she shared the meaning of her three-border concept and her love of using very fresh and natural ingredients. We were so impressed that we asked if she'd pose with us for a photo. Absolutely made my day!“

And being a Tuesday, it was taco Tuesday!!!! Tacos were $2.50 each. I ordered one of each and they came out early quick. Feels like the ones you get right off the streets of LA (in a good way). Lots of protein. Packed with toppings. Double tortillas. More sauce on the side. They were all really good!! I had a couple of their beers. Had one on tap, an IPA, as well as another one in a bottle. Vibes here are really cool. It was nice just to sit back, kind of put my feet up and chill. Everyone was super nice. Upon request they can turn on the volume of any of the games. Unfortunately, someone requested the soccer game to be played on blast. Which killed the music. But I had been there a good 1.5 hrs by then, and I guess that was my cue to leave. And it only took an hr and 10 min to get home, mission accomplished!!“
