“Food and wine selection at AOC is very good. The service is what stood out most. I dined here Monday night and the hostess was very kind. Michael our waiter really made our night. He had great menu and drink recommendations and his positive attitude was so infectious it really made our night. He really set the standard for amazing service. We will be back asap to see him!“
“This is an L.A. bar with an NYC feel…post gentrification. A good place for an intimate situation or for bein’ a gaggle of gays and theys. Not sure about the pricing as I was treated to my libations, but the service was friendly. I appreciated the attentiveness. They have high tops on one side and soft seating on the other with bar seating in between the two.“
“The influence of Alice Waters and David Tennis is at play in the $45 prix fixe 3-course lunch, simple, elegant and delicious. The rest of the menu, except the desserts and cocktails, looks to be uninterestingly pedestrian. Recently, a salad of thinly shaved manchego, mint, beets and radicchio first course and a perfectly cooked Sea bass, very plump clams, broad beans, and fennel second course in a seafood broth lightly seasoned with dill were superb, as were desserts that our waiter allowed us to substitute for the third course. Highly recommended for lunch.“
“This is the best vegan Italian food I've ever had. Caprese salad got the flavors and textures exactly right. Calzone was delicious, and the cacio e pepe was exactly right. Tiramisu was a lovely end to the meal. Since going vegan almost 20 years ago I have never had this kind of authentic food done so well. Atttentive service too.“
“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“
“I like this place. They have a great wine selection and their charcuterie and small plates are delicious. The Marcona almonds are well flavored/seasoned. The olives are also well-marinated. Their meat board contains delicious selections of cured meats and cheese with some sweet jam. All of these items pair nicely with their Chilean red, which is a reasonably priced and tasty bottle. I've only eaten inside but they have a nice patio in the back. The inside is dim and cozy. This is a great spot for a date night or a night out with friends. It's not cheap by any means, but they deliver solid service, food, and wine. Enjoy!“
“"Melanie Wine Bar is an absolute gem! From the cozy ambiance to the exquisite selection of wines, every visit is a delightful experience. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive, always ready to recommend the perfect pairing for your palate. Whether you're a wine aficionado or just looking for a relaxing evening out, Melanie Wine Bar is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it!"“
“I can't say enough about the food, service and extremely professional staff. There were 6 in our party and the server didn't miss a beat. Such a memorable evening. The food and wine, exceptional. If you want to impress friends, family and/or clients, dine here.“
“Our experience at this restaurant was top notch. The food was excellent, but the service was perfect. They were so nice and accommodating. It was literally the best restaurant for kids, even though they don't have a children's menu! They offered half portions of pasta for our kids, and made a special "plain" dish for my picker eater. They also were very patient and helpful in dealing with a food allergy. Casual dress was just fine, although the interior and the food feel "fancy." The location is extremely convenient (just around the corner) if you are staying at the SLS hotel. Highly recommended.“
“Although known for their delicious pizzas. Their salads are Delish!!! Especially the Brussels, and Cesar. The fried artichoke appetizer is a treat! The Bolognese is exceptionally yummy! End with the Carmel Panacotta, you won't be sorry!“
“We wanted to taste some wines and have a good time, this place was a great experience. The server Ross was outstanding and help us found the wine that we like the most. There a few boarding games you can use while enjoying your wine and cheese board.“
“Casual but nice. Service and staff are very kind and knowledgeable. Recommended wine based on my preferences.Food was very good but I think they put cream in the carbonara… and a poached egg on top. I’ve seen this at other LA restaurants- not sure why it’s a thing.Good portion sizes.“
“La Bruschetta I would say is one of my favorite restaurants not only because of the food but also the service, not only does Mr. Angelo makes you feel like family but the staff treats you like royalty I love everything about this place thank you Jonathan for always providing first class service.“
“This is a really nice location if you want to be in the luxury stores and restaurants. The rooms are lovely decorated. But... I do not recommend this hotel for you to stay, even if it is renewed and renowned, the staff at the terrace restaurant is slow and not really willing to help you, the only one really nice is BRYAN if you go ask for him.The room quality is ok the drapes do not close so you'll sleep with a ray of light, the pillows are awful and they can't do anything to solve the problem. At the valet only if you ask twice they will assist you. They have a lot of things to work on in order to be truly five stars. So far it is like an expensive four star hotel.Nearby activities: Just nearby activities.“
“A hidden gem! The food is to die for and the service is amazing. All the pasta dishes I’ve posted here are also kid approved!!! Generous serving of each dish so we didn’t get a chance to try any desserts, but I’m told they are also really tasty ? ?“
“I've been coming here to Bodevi many times this past year. I was so stoked when I found out they serve wine AND espresso. I initially was drawn to their WINE FLIGHTS and VEGAN CHARCUTERIE. But lately maybe because of the cold weather I've been craving their LOX & CREAM CHEESE TOAST and BLUEBERRY GINGER LATTE. They pay really great attention to detail because my lox toast is perfectly spread all the way to the edges. The salmon perfectly scrunched for texture (not just laid out flat) and topped with sliced red onions. Then drizzled with oil I think and perfectly garnished with dill and capers...yumm!! Love the orange slices as well! The blueberry ginger latte is so unique and pretty! It has a richness to it like mocha but perfectly balanced. I get mine with oat milk. And I love seeing actual blueberries on it to give it a nice finishing touch. Get this before they switch out their seasonal menu! Once the weather warms up I may go back to trying their wine flights again. I recommend THE DAVID BOWIE so you can have the assortment of white, rose, and red if you're trying their wines for the first time. Other items I definitely recommend are the BURRATA PISTACHIO SANDWICH (I get mine minus the prosciutto to make it vegetarian) , the VEGAN DELI SANDWICH, and the DEVILED EGGS. You can't go wrong with those. They're delicious! They even have an assortment of board games, chess, and checkers that you can play in the private room in the back. So chic and charming for big parties! Service is wonderful! My lattes always come out perfect here made by Caleb and Melissa! And like I said they pay attention to detail. There's also a self serve water station by the bar. Parking is FREE in the back parking lot. Front parking you have to pay for with coins not credit cards. Such an absolute GEM in San Fernando!“
“Yet another yummy & memorable meal. Server Chris was a delight, help staff expedient. Tonight owner chef Suzanne was sadly gone & older man Host very very rude as he doesn't understand Fed & CA & LA Laws about clearly marked & bibbed Service Animals, esp a 10# tiny CavaPoo that is extremely well-behaved & lies quietly on floor as if not present. Refusing our OT resy nice Dining Room Table several times in an attempt to place us in the empty & barren & unwanted bar corner area was a BIG mistake...luckily he gave in as confronted on his wrongdoing. Missing owner chef Suzanne would have likely been upset with him too...“
“Love that this place isn't so large that it's hard to have a conversation. Perfect setting when you're with a group of people. Servers are great at making sure your beverages are full and you're not waiting on food.Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator right to the entrance.“
“If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would.A great 'neighborhood' place, that gets to know you and very accommodating and fun to talk to.Rebecca and Sue will always greet you with a smile, with fun events going on here and there. All of them are great for a conversation, and everything they do is top notch.Erin and Ferrin are lovely as well, they seem to really hire well.I highly recommend this place, it's a highlight in the neighborhood.“
“I really like their concept and artfully designed menu. This place is a must for those who enjoy trying high end and unique specialty cocktails in a small upscale atmosphere. Cons: price is high but I get quality. They used to open at 3 but now don’t open until 5 so I can’t go randomly anymore ?“
“We loved this place and can't wait to return! In fact I held a breakfast meeting there the next to day so I could try their breakfast. The decor, service and food are exemplary! Oh....the espresso drinks....perfect! The only thing that might make it better is one of those pastries they have by the front. Maybe next time! This neighborhood is lucky to have place like this ?“
“We got the chef recommended Pesto Chicken Panini and the Demi Glace Brisket Pita and they were both delicious, but what I really thought was interesting is the onion rings. It's made in house and I haven't had an onion ring like it anywhere else. Thin batter but super crispy and it's kind of infused with what looks like everything bagel seasoning.I live nearby so I'll definitely be back to try the other menu items. I have my eyes set on the fried chicken pita next.“
“When the yearning for authentic Spanish cuisine beckons, "La Paella" emerges as a culinary beacon, brilliantly capturing the essence of Spain's rich gastronomic landscape. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance transported us back to the vibrant streets of Spain, enveloped in warmth and the tantalizing aroma of spices. The service was nothing short of exemplary, with staff members who not only knew the menu inside out but also shared their enthusiasm for the flavors and traditions of their dishes. Each recommendation was spot on, adding to the overall delightful experience. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the squid ink paella. Its bold flavors and perfectly cooked seafood were a testament to the chef's mastery. Each grain of rice was infused with the deep, oceanic essence of squid ink, creating a dish that was as visually arresting as it was delectable. Every plate brought to our table was a hit, making it a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience for the whole family."La Paella" has certainly set a high standard for Spanish cuisine outside of Spain. It's a gem worth returning to, and we are already planning our next visit to delve deeper into the menu. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Spain, this is a place you won't want to miss.“
“We were there for a private party in the charming little room upstairs...the wonderful food, perfect service and the tone set from the manager on down was perfect. I've always loved this restaurant but had never been to a private event there and it definitely did not disappoint! Thanks Divino for a lovely evening!“
“Love this place! Friendly staff, greats drinks. It's not a party environment, the energy is very laidback. Great place to have a genuine conversation with friends/dates, you won't need to shout but you'll still be in a buzzing, fun atmosphere“
“As always, what a beautiful venue. The food was great and the service excellent as always. Good for them, the place was packed so it was a bit louder than usual but not bad compared to many restaurants where you can't even hear others at your table. Wonderful experience. Our dog loved it as well.“
“This is the time of the year the internet is alive with lists of places to go on St. Patrick's Day. Always read these lists although I never go out on St. Patrick's Day. Saw Auld Fella on some of these online lists. First thing I thought was it was very nice the place was named after me. Second thing I thought was Auld Fella looked like someplace I would like to go. Then I noticed Auld Fella was five blocks from where I lived, so I went there today. Has the chicken curry today. It was very good and there was a lot of it. Going to try the chicken pot pie the next time I go to Auld Fella. Going to go on a Sunday and try the chicken Sunday Roast.“
“The O'Cado Burger was a 10/10. The vegan crabcakes had good presentation but it’s missing some flavor. The peach ice tea was unsweetened and would’ve been better with sweetness. The staff & hospitality is top notch.Clean, nice vibe and good music.“A” rating for food inspection.“
“I recently dined at Angelino Trattoria and had an amazing experience. The Roma pizza was absolutely delicious, with its perfect combination of flavors and a crispy crust that was just right. The mussels were cooked to perfection and the ravioli was filled with a delightful blend of ingredients that left me wanting more. The beet apple salad was a refreshing and unique dish that added a nice touch to my meal. Overall, everything I ordered at Angelino Trattoria was wonderful. The quality of the food, the attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere all contributed to an exceptional dining experience. I highly recommend this trattoria to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“
“Definitely stop by this bar on your next bowl visit. Recommend reservations ahead of time, but we arrived without one and were seated before we finished our drink at the bar. Bar Manager Leanne Szymczak is awesome and made sure everyone was taken care of! Bar staff and servers are amazing! Pouring drinks and getting your food brought out quickly. Enjoy this spot before the show gets going. Cheers everyone!“
“My husband and I had the 9-course tasting menu to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The service was excellent and very friendly. Most of the food was delicious, especially the lamb. The scallops were the only disappointing dish. We will return to try individual entrees, but the tasting menu is not the best value for us. Thank you for a very pleasant time.“
“Don't miss this amazing gem hiding in plain sight on Ventura Blvd! This wine bar is your next happy hour or late night stop. My husband surprised me with our first visit, and upon first glance, I thought we were strolling up to the Tipsy Cow. When we deviated to the entrance of Buvette, I was surprised by an understated front door but immediately delighted with a beautiful interior. We sat at the bar, but the booths were gorgeous and intimate. My husband got the Granacha and I got the Moschofilero - both were delicious and easy-drinking. There are specific wines on the happy hour menu, so be sure to ask. And although not on the physical HH menu, the QR code on the back revealed an online HH menu with the "Adult Lunchable". Between the free bar mix (corn nuts, crunchy chickpeas and Lima beans??), and the Lunchable, it was a perfect amount of food between the two of us to keep it light but to feel satiated. Sam was behind the bar when we were there and she was so nice! We can't wait to come back to this beautiful bar and try more from their specially curated list of wines!TIPS: Street parking only. If you really love wine and wanna get your fill outside of your typical wine choices, consider signing up for their Wine Club!“
“I love this bar for a fun drink with a friend or to have a leisurely lunch while catching up on work in the daytime. There no other bar like this in Los Angeles with it's old-school grandeur and amazing service. I invited out-of-town friends to the bar last night and they loved the drinks and chatting with Ben, Christine and Reggie. The only bad news at The Club Bar is they've downgraded the bar snack situation. The usual top notch condiments of kettle chips, seasoned almonds and mixed olives has been replaced with a sad combination of humdrum honey mustard pretzel bits and a lame asian snack mix. Sort of a bummer, but I'll keep coming anyhow!!“
“This is an old school style restaurant similar to the original Palm restaurant. The menu is very heavy on pasta and pizza. They have daily specials that sound delicious but they are reliant on pasta as a part of the presentation. As I can’t have pasta unless it’s organic I can’t comment on them first hand. Everyone else at our table had such dishes and loved them. I had the Chicken Diablo and it was fantastic. The restaurant has a lot of surfaces that deaden sound which is a great thing. I didn’t give them 5 stars because the restaurant and the menu seem dated.“
“Great service first and foremost. Staff is suuuuper friendly and is happy to give you a taste of whatever before you commit to a full glass. Lots of delicious options here. Patio seating is great on a nice summer day. Prices are excellent, pours are generous. Great spot!“
“Had a fun time dining at this beautifully decorated Garden Cafe and Bar in Ktown. I totally love the aesthetics here, and the lovely presentation of their food and drinks. I really enjoyed the flavors of their Kimchi Pasta and Croffle that's topped with fresh fruits! Really like their selection of dishes, from their delectable desserts to their colorful drinks! Perfect spot to visit during brunch and happy hour!“
“Great choice for hearty, not heavy food in a relaxed and even romantic room. Feels like you could come here with family, friends, associates, or a date. We tried an app and a couple pastas and felt well taken care of and satisfied. The Fritto Misto or Calamari is a classic, of course. Happily it's prepared to order and delicious. 'Lightly battered and served with marinara' is accurate - and we really enjoyed the marinara, too. It's a good portion, perfect to share. I was very interested in trying their namesake, the Meatballs. Tried the three different meatballs: The beef, the pork, and the eggplant. The eggplant was enjoyable, akin to a falafel in texture. Moist in the middle. The pork was also good, not overpowering by any means. The beef, to me, lacked flavor. I think a combo of the beef and pork would be great. Or, if the beef simply had more seasoning, it would be a winner, too. The texture was good, just moist enough. Just not enough of a flavor. I doubled-down with my flavor exploration as the sauce I chose happened to be the Arrabiata. My companion ordered the chicken Alfredo, and loved it. I tasted it, too, and liked it. Super creamy, of course. The chicken was tender, the tagliatelle perfectly cooked. Loved our server. She was helpful and we appreciated her initiative and followthrough. Looking forward to a return visit to try some other things --- maybe Happy Hour, maybe Dessert.“
“A lovely nook offering an oasis amongst the bustle of Beverly Blvd. Marvin greets its visitors with a smattering of unique wines to choose from and aroma's of food who's taste outperforms even the heavenly smells. The service was quick and attentive, with genuine insight into what dishes are most spectacular. We enjoyed the Burrata Toast and Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. The Burrata Toast was a simple, yet decadent must have.Sitting at the bar was an intimate way to enjoy this lovely restaurant. I will certainly return!“
“Great Iranian eatery. Very cozy, cute, and comfortable space. Booths have the name of the islands in the Persian gulf, in keeping with the restaurant theme! My girlfriend is vegan so when we asked for the options the chef herself came to our table to go over the options. We really appreciated that. The food itself was fantastic. We had kubideh and aash. I wish they also had impossible meat kubideh. We will definitely go back for more!“
“City Kitchen is one of my favorite spots in all of Los Angeles the ambience the artwork, the friendly staff, the bottomless mimosas and I’m a huge breakfast guy so the all day breakfast A big win for me. I would recommend the morning wrap And the banana nut pancakes.Kid-friendliness: This place is fun for the whole family“
“BEAU! This bartender was everything! He was SO fun! He was so engaging, entertaining, funny, sweet, kind and made us 5 girls feel so comfortable. We were there this past Sunday( before we had dinner reservations at 7 pm at SUR and we didn’t want to leave! We had an absolute blast. If you go, which you should, I hope you get to have Beau as your bartender !!!“
“Great service and quaint neighborhood surrounding it with cure shops up and down the street. There's stores to buy clothes that are not too pricey and a variety of eclectic shops with interesting themes to check out before and after dinner. There's coffee places and candy stores and ice cream there's gift stores etc and If you don't mind that Robert Blake who was the actor in Columbo - sh ot his wife there after dining then go give it a try. Waiters and staff are epic. Food is good. There's some venue upstairs with entertainment I've not checked out but there is a constant flow of 40 - 50 year olds with young families and urbanites enjoying the night. It fills up in the evenings. Very popular.“
“I would be doing this place a disservice if I didn't take the time to leave a review. I really love coming here. the price is reasonable and the food is really good. I love hanging out in the outdoor patio as its Encompassed by brick walls, lemon trees and plenty of booths. it's the quintessential hole in the wall gem you've been looking for. Alcohol not served. But that's OK. Excellent pizza!“
“Boutellier is an amazing placeDefinitely a great place to experience some of the best wines The service is outstanding and they have an excellent variety of tapas and cheeses I definitely recommend this place The decor and the location are great.“
“Super easy. Super casual. Not a fancy wine bar at all. But, they offer many different beers, wine and and a casual bar. My only complaint is that the SPARKLING ROSE COMES IN A CAN. the menu needs to say "in a can". I wouldn't have have ordered it had I known. Anyway, get pizza or falafel or a whatever food you want and sit at the casual bar and enjoy! Fun“
“A great place for a Friday or Saturday night with friends! We got the panang, pad see ew, grapow, and gai tod (fried chicken). The fried chicken and panang were actually very good however the other two dishes were pretty salty and I wouldn’t recommend them. Thai iced tea was also delicious!“
“The cuisine is impeccably prepared in this very quaint and amazing restaurant. Every dish is flavorful and generously portioned. The ambiance is perfect and classic old school service. Even if you've never treated yourself to a meal here, you'll be made to feel as though your presence had been missed and welcome back!“
“I am a relatively new renter at the Wine Locker, I have been a tenant for about a year. I needed a place to store some wine while I was doing a kitchen remodel and stumbled upon this place. I called and spoke with Cindy, who is just about the nicest big hearted person ever. I have one of the smaller lockers, and have enjoyed meeting So many of the other tenants who are super nice and social. I have even run into other tenants at wine club pickup parties in Paso!! Many times when I have showed up with wine to put in my locker other tenants ask if I need help- it's so refreshing to find a place with friendly people that I am happy to call friends!! If you need a place to store wine- you should call the Wine Locker!!“
