Urban Field Pizza and Market 150 Main St Suite 202, Longmont Pizza • $$
150 Main St Suite 202, Longmont

“We chose Urban Field to do the catering for our wedding at River Bend in July. Paul invited us to their restaurant in Longmont for a tasting and we knew after meeting with Nick and trying the food/drinks that we wanted them to feed our people! We could just tell that Nick really loves and cares about what he does. He sat and chatted with us and brought us plate after plate of lovingly made, GREAT food, dessert, boxed up our leftovers, and even sent me home with a big container of their ranch that I loved. Paul, Nick, and Darrin were all amazing to work with and many of our guest said it was the best food they have EVER had at a wedding. They all worked patiently with us to create custom menus with some of our favorite foods. The late night pizzas...no words. It was also great working with Darrin to create our signature cocktails and coordinate our alcohol order--he really went above and beyond day of, giving us our leftover premixed signature cocktails and sending the leftover food home with us as well. He was running around all day (calmly) making sure everything food/drink went smoothly. Thank you so much Paul, Chef Nick, and Darrin and the whole UF team!”

“Awesome place! Owners and staff go above and beyond, and absolutely fits the bill for a neighborhood hangout. Prices are very fair for the portions - rolls are thicc and sashimi/nigiri are two bite pieces. Lunch specials are awesome as well, the rice bowls are a killer deal and cheaper than a lot of fast food options these days.Last visit we ordered gyoza, two orders of nigiri, two rolls, and hot tea and walked out stuffed with amazing food and vibes for around $40 a person, including tip.If you made it this far in the review then make sure to request a pot of their house hot tea - best in the state!Thank you Sushi Box for being good neighbors - looking forward to the next visit.”

“Great drink selection, tasty appetizers, and good entrees. I really enjoyed the Cuban sandwich. Have been a few times and found that the service can be hit or miss. The first time was great, server was attentive, our waters were always full, and food was timely. Most recently, the server barely came by the table, and had to be flagged down so we could get some more water or order another drink.”

“There are many breweries in NOCO, but this place really does it right. I’m a truck driver, and I rarely get to treat myself to a night out. I’m glad the wind blew me here. I feel many breweries are trying too hard. The “wildfire” wheat beer was just darn good, plain and simple. The folks were very welcoming, especially my waiter Zak, despite my somewhat disheveled appearance. And the food hit the spot :)”

It was my girlfriend’s birthday and we were treated really well. The drinks were super tasty and having a little extra served with the main glass is always a nice touch. Swaylo’s Tiki Restaurant and Bar 1315 Dry Creek Dr, Longmont Tiki Bar • $$
1315 Dry Creek Dr, Longmont

“This place has really unique and well made food and cocktails, especially given its weird location in an old Texas Roadhouse. Ricky the bartender was amazing. It’s a little strange that there are no windows or natural light, but otherwise the tiki vibes are great. The only disappointing part of the meal was that they substituted cremini mushrooms in for shiitake but didn’t say anything about it.”

Josie’s Tacos 347 Main St, Longmont Family • $$
347 Main St, Longmont

“Some of the BEST tacos and enchiladas I've ever had, right in Downtown Longmont. My family and I have been going to Bennys since they first opened. This family run restaurant has incredible authentic food, like I had growing up! Great customer service, accommodating, and good quality. Only downside is sometimes they seem low staffed and food can take a little longer to get to you. And the dining area is pretty small. Less than 10 tables in the establishment. Definitely get the Sopapilla! It's *muah* chefs kiss!”

“I really enjoyed dinner at Sakura. I've been in Las Vegas for 27 years and the sushi experience is a little different but every plate that arrived was full of flavor and the service was top notch. Really friendly staff and owner. Was a little dismayed at the amount of times I saw the words "imitation crab" on the menu and would have really wanted to try those dishes otherwise but the lobster was great and all the fresh fish was very fresh, not fishy. Little oyster shooter with the quail egg went down well. Overall high marks.”

“This is one of our go to places in Longmont. Especially when the weather is not so great. But they also have a very nice patio. We almost always take our dog, as do many others. The people and other dogs are always great! Friendly dogs and people. If you have a well socialized dog, this is your spot. They have a great variety of craft beer and usually have a good food truck.”

Aime's Love 331 Main St, Longmont Gluten-Free • $$

“I went to CO for work and googled GF places nearby. When I saw this place 2 miles down the road, I barely knew what to do with myself. This was a wonderland for me: the crepe was fantastic, the lunch sandwiches amazing. Use the focaccia bread! I ordered bread to put in my luggage and also planned my meals for those few days I was there. The women were so kind and patient and thoughtful as myself (and others who walked in for the first time) struggled to figure out what to eat first. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, I’m just sad I couldn’t bring back a chicken pot pie in my suitcase, and frankly I should have ordered more bread. I can only hope I get to return there someday. Thank you ladies for making this a really awesome trip for me.”

Sushi Leo 2315 Clover Basin Dr, Longmont Japanese • $$
2315 Clover Basin Dr, Longmont

“Good strip mall Sushi. In something of a reversal of expectations, the fish was excellent, although only adequately prepared and served. High prices make this a tough recommendation when there are options nearby that get the intangibles right at a similar price point.Service was ok, but not great. We ordered a gluttonous amount of sushi, they decided to serve it in 2 rounds but probably should've served it in 3 rounds as our appetizers came quickly yet the first sushi round took over 30 minutes to arrive, which is too long. The server didn't ask to refill drinks until after the first round of sushi. With more care, they could've balanced out the arrival of our food to reduce "dead time" at the table. To be fair, they only had 1 waiter working and about 5 or 6 active tables, so the waiter was pretty busy. The nigiri was well done and mostly excellent. Specifically the red snapper and yellowtail were superb. Red snapper was firm with some toothsome snap to it. The ahi was also very good, not mushy nor metallic (common Colorado flaws with tuna). The salmon was slightly less great, still very good, but a half-step back from their other fish.Where they lose a star is for their freshwater eel (unagi). It was cold and uniform in texture. Ideally the unagi should be fresh cooked with some crispy bits around the edges by a torch or searing station. The rolls were OK but nothing special. Nice quality of avocado but they were overfilled with cucumber and carrot and had tiny amounts of fish. The restaurant's choice of soy sauce is unfortunate as it is very one-note and too salty. They should at least use low sodium soy by default and if possible switch suppliers. Finally, a subjective issue -- their wasabi was too mild for my palate, perhaps this was an attempt to mimic 'real' Japanese wasabi, but most western sushi restaurants use the spicy horseradish wasabi which I am used to and prefer for mainstream sushi.”

Caprese Trattoria 1067 S Hover St, Longmont Italian • $$
1067 S Hover St, Longmont

“I very rarely speak well of an Italian restaurant because so many either pump out over-americanized versions of the same four dishes, or they act like it has to be fancy to be good. Caprese Trattoria understands that really good food isn't some cliché, it's a true cornerstone to Italian culture. The fact that the food is SO...DANG...GOOD and the atmosphere is underwhelming is absolutely perfect to me. I feel like I'm back at my Great Aunt Gloria's house. The staff were very pleasant, and the bar was dialed in. We can't wait to go back again and again.”
