And the last few yrs we spent half the yr in Madison and half in north branford ,and in Madison we think GRAND APIZZA is the BEST in the state ,and luckily we founds Bobby's which can compete with any or all of new haven apizza , we go to Bobby's once a week and it's excellent pizza ,they also have very good stuffed breads , 2 weeks ago we actually sat in and ordered and the food seemed better perfectly cooked and the sausage is by far thier best add on .but if u live near or on Rte 80. U have to get a pie from Bobby's and thier service is on point u order a pie or 2. It's 20 min so take it from me u won't b disappointed and if and when u take my advice pls come back here and give me a review hope u all have a special time and take one of ur love ones to dinner and go to Bobby's“

“I kind of stumbled over this restaurant and I'm so glad I did !!! I have been here approx 4 times and every time the meal has been delicious, from the very friendly waitstaff. Every time I have been here we have ordered the hot antipasto which included two baked stuffed shrimp, two stuffed mushrooms, and two clams casino, along with the appetizer came a warm basket of homemade bread with butter. We had the New England Clam chowder and it was perfect I had a veal dish with mushrooms and prosciutto over noodles. Perfect did I say fresh mushrooms my brother had the zuppe di pesce, which he totally enjoyed. He got it without the calamari and another basket of warm bread. If you're looking for delicious Italian food with a very friendly waitstaff this is the place to go. I almost didn't write this review as I don't want to see the place over crowded lol but it's well deserved. We were there last night and will be back again. Very cute place inside“

“I found this place purely by accident but I'm really glad after passing it I turned around and went in. A real feast for the eyes, loads of choices. I bought a box of cookies, a bit pricey and unfortunately I myself never got to try them. What I did have was the Panini Meatball, it was fantastic. “Pasta Avest has delicious food, the staff are friendly and make you feel like you’re family, and the environment inside is clean, cozy, and relaxing! I think not being able to decide what you want to eat because everything is delicious is a wonderful problem to have!Favorite item is the sausage and peppers sub. They even have specials and recently the chicken cutlet with mozz, cherry peppers, and hot honey was a genuine knock out of the park.These guys are a hidden gem that shouldnt be hidden. “Nestled away from North Main Street is this hidden gem of Italian food. Their marinara sauce is delicious and their portions are just right. “We rented the little Italy pizza truck for my boyfriends 30th birthday, and we couldn’t be happier! First of all I’d like to point out that the party was in the back field of a farm, that had a very rough dirt road in and out. Luigi came out a few days prior to scope out the place, and said it wouldn’t be a problem. It DOWNPOURED the whole day of our party, so we were nervous about him being able to get down, not only did he make it down the dirt road all the way to the party, they showed up with smiles on their face and got right to work making their delicious pizzas! Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how good the pizza and service was. We had enough to feed over 75 people, and even had enough so people could bring some home with them. Luigi and his crew were so nice and we are so grateful for everything they did to make the party a huge success. 10/10 recommend their services!“

“Went for lunch and drinks. Always greeted right away when you walk in. Staff is always very attentive. Sat at that bar. Ordered espresso martinis with baileys added. The best martinis, they make fresh espresso right at the bar for your martini. I ordered the burratta appetizer, crostini with burratta, fig jam, prosciutto, arugula and balsamic glaze. So good, I order it everytime. Then for the first time I ordered a pizza. They are the size of a small. I ordered the escarole, white bean and truffle mashed potatoes. Was really looking forward to trying this, so to my surprise it wasn't that good. The pizza crust is very thin which I am a fan of, however it was over cooked. Way too crispy. And I know it didn't say it on the menu but just figured there would be cheese on it well there wasn't. Nothing really to hold the items on the pizza perhaps that's why it was so crispy. It needed to be so that everything didn't fall off the piece of pizza. We were there for over 4 hours just catching up with friends and having couple cocktails. Never felt rushed by any staff member to get up and leave. Small bar so it was nice to not feel rushed. It is one of my favorite restaurants. Will definitely be back again and again. Just next time I will stick to what I know I love.“

Made the deposit to book time/day online and Kelly followed up a few days before with the details. Our 50 guests raved about the pizza! Sadly, we were so busy I forgot to take pictures until the last minute but it was a beautiful display too! These guys were punctual and professional! They have their own wooden tables attached to the truck to set up which is so helpful!! And what better way than to end with Gelato and cappuccinos/espressos! “This is my daughter’s (age 6 as of this review) favorite restaurant. We take her occasionally as a treat and sometimes meet up with friends. My daughter has been fighting the flu and after days of not eating much she asked for butter noodles from Cozy Corner. At the time we were coming home from her pediatrician. I called up and asked if they wouldn’t mind bring it out for me so I didn’t have to get my daughter in and out of the car since she is sick. Plus, I really didn’t want to bring her inside. “Stopped in on our stop in Ct. we live in Florida now( ( almost 30 years) but were born and raised in NewHaven, East Haven Branford. Our lunch was so delicious, I had eggplant on a hard roll, so delicious I could still taste it, not everyone makes eggplant correctly. My husband had a meatball sub, he so enjoyed it( and not easily pleased)the bread was so fresh as were the meatballs. It will definitely be put on our list of stops when we come back. Oh so good!“

The Penne Alla Vodka was fantastic with perfectly cooked pasta, a sauce with the just the right balance of cream and zesty tomato, and a good amount of large, tender shrimp.
