“The best, period. We’ve been going here for 4 years ever since getting a tip from a local. All praises to sing, no complaints. Everything is caught the day of, so it’s incredibly fresh. My friend who normally hates tuna will only eat tuna from the South Maui Fish Company. It’s just incredible food.If you don’t know whether to choose between the traditional and spicy, get half and half! Thanks to Leyla (hopefully I spelled your name right) for helping us out!“
“Sweet Hula is the only place I ate more than once while in Maui. To be honest, we didn't try the açaí bowls because we were intrigued by the matcha and blue magik (coconut and pineapple) bowls. Both were loaded with fresh fruit and granola and were delicious and filling. We also tried the Brazilian cheese bread and it was definitely worth the 15 minute wait while it cooked. The service was helpful and kind and they remembered me when I came back. Seating is outside on picnic tables as this is a food truck but there is plenty of room and they keep it clean. I highly recommend Sweet Hula to all!“
“1st time here and we both had breakfast . I had pancakes and wife had Heavy Kine and both were yummy . Best pancakes I’ve ever had and wife’ Portugueses sausage in her breakfast was off the charts yummy ♥️Wish we had found this place sooner !“
“Very well located in the South Maui Gardens in a sweet and relaxing atmosphere with plenty of food choices around this vendor offers the must delicious twist (smooth and sweet) on Shave Ice I tried. Condensed milk and good quality add ons. Let the milk infuse a couple of minutes over the refreshing ice core. Fruits around and toppings add texture and taste. Simply delicious. Went twice and my favorite was the individual size with condensed milk, lychee and peach for fruits. Tried Ube as well (fun factor) but surprisingly preferred the condensed milk. Minute difference though so enjoy the color you want. Service is great, but Just beware of hours as I was successful 2 twice but tried another 2 times and they closed at least 1 hour+ earlier than hours displayed at their shop. Still worth the effort, go indulge one of their threats.“
“A great coffee truck within a larger collection of food trucks. Very friendly service! Lots of great drink selections. The coffee had great flavor and was not overly sweet. My mocha was delicious! Great afternoon pick me up!Wheelchair accessibility: The food trucks are parked on large gravel lots. This might make mobility difficult for wheelchairs, tripping concerns, or strollers“
“If you are staying near Wailea or passing through Kihei you definitely need to try this Shave Ice. You can get traditional ice with typical syrup flavors (like tigers blood, blue Hawaiian, root beer, lychee, coconut, piña colada, guava, fruit punch and so many more).Or you can get shaved fruit. It’s really amazing. The flavors are subtle but delicious! The ice is so fluffy! You can get it plain but I recommend getting with ice cream and topped with coconut drizzle. They take credit cards and cash. ($6 for a small, $9 for a large). It’s basically a food truck (an adorable VB bus named Gus) parked along the street but it’s definitely worth trying the shaved fruit (especially if you like more natural flavors). Next time I go, I’ll take a picture. I was too distracted by the deliciousness this time. ?“
“Top 3 lifetime burrito doesn’t have beans or rice! The Asada burrito was an astounding vegan revelation for what a plant-based version could be. Gigantic, delicious, dare I say meaty. Tortilla expertly grilled for that perfect bit of flakiness. Just go get one !Vegetarian options: All vegan - no dairyDietary restrictions: Vegan and gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: Several good kid sizes options“
“So many recommendations so I had to come try them out. PHENOMENAL!!! I had the Coconut Bowl and Broccoli Cheddar Soup and it was the best I’ve ever had ? Service was exceptional and the place is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes ? I’ll definitely be back to try more bowls and their famous wraps ? Thanks That’s A Wrap for a delicious lunch ? Ooohhh and the coffee hits the spot as well ☕️“
“This is a must try. We had the toasted Italian, chicken salad on whole grain, and the spicy chicken ranch with Mac potato salad. We also got a giant chocolate chip cookie and an Oreo pudding. Everything was delicious. Sandwiches are made fresh to order. They have other sides as well, pasta salads and chips. Goodselection of bottled and canned drinks.“
“The coffee is fantastic. Smooth and balanced cold brew. The prices are much more reasonable than their two local competitors: Kraken and Lava Java. Their prices for a brewed/iced coffee are easily 30-40% lower than other independent shops. The setting though is idyllic!! BEAUTIFUL garden Courtyard! Absolutely stunning, so relaxing and my absolute favorite.“
“This was my kids’ favorite part of our Maui trip. Actual quotes: “100 times better than Kona ice.” (And they love Kona ice). “Can we come back here everyday?” (We tried a different place yesterday and came back to Peace, Love, Shave Ice the today). “Ok, let’s go on our hike, and then let’s come back here.” ?Only way to improve is to add more seating and shade.“
“Loved our meals from here. The Calamari was huge and the fish dishes were incredible. Also, offer vegan tofu options. It is outside a large food truck garden, but we took our food into the garden to eat, because it was beautiful in there too.“
“The malasadas here are fresh and delicious. We ate the Ube malasada before getting a picture, and it was definitely our favorite!! The non filled malasadas are fried up fresh each order, but the wait time was worth it!! The banana bread is a must try too.“
“Stopped by after a morning walk on the beach for some coffee. We had a mocha and an americano and both were excellent. It did take a decent amount of time to get them, so don’t be in a rush. The employees were very personable and friendly and I overheard them giving advice for local places to another patron.“
“Consistently amazing food. One of the few trucks on the island that you feel like you've had a healthy and super tasty meal. The side salad is so delicious and the cook/server is super kind and helpful. This truck is the only one that I know of that asks to be paid after your food is served.“
“Our favorite shave ice on Maui!!! Hands down. I kept telling my family how amazing it is, but we got gross and mediocre ice multiple times before we made it here. It's the shaved ice of my dreams, and my family now gets it! Guava, lychee, passion fruit, mango. Mmmmmm.“
“Great little coffee shop right by the ocean! We visited here a couple of times during our stay. We always had great service, with friendly staff. Our drinks were great! We enjoyed listening to some music and there were guitars and other string instruments available for those inclined. Great little greeting cards and other handmade gifts.“
“This place is LEGIT!! and the best meal we have eaten on the island. We ordered Red curry , Green Curry , Pad Sa Ew, Coconut shrimp , and Thai fried rice. We've eaten Thai all over and we were impressed by the quality and flavor. If you're a Thai lover, you won't be disappointed.“
“I've been coming here since I was a kid. UNREAL flavor and fluffy texture. My fav is the regular cinnamon rolls add macadamia nuts with frosting. There's always a line and now you can preorder for pick up so I recommend that if you can! Here's the line at 6AM when they opened! It was worth it.“
“Breakfast buffet was absolutely delish. The freshest fruits, yummy island pastries, Portuguese sausage, rice and all the other fixings…omelette bar, fresh guava, passion, orange juice, coffee and water served table side. French toast pancakes. Asian edamame rice and potstickers. Really tasty and kea lani level service is awesome.“
“I live on Maui and stumbled on this food truck after a basketball game with my kids. Had not read the reviews, so did not know what to expect. What a treat! Just fantastic barbecue!! We ordered the baby back ribs. Best ribs on Maui and best ribs I've had in general in a long time. It's become harder and harder to find good quality food, post Covid and inflation, but this place hit the mark and would recommend it to anyone!“
“We bought sourdough bread here. It was delicious and had a lovely, perfectly chewy crust. Later, we came back and ordered a margarita pizza. The crust was amazingly thin yet robust and also delightfully chewy. Toppings were fresh and well proportioned.“
“Holly and Justin were a great duo while we we were there. The food was great and timely service. Dirty Mac and cheese is what I had along with a Loco moco and Maui Mike's margaritas.Dietary restrictions: They were answered my questions about my allergie to coconut was really helpful on my decision on what to eat.“
“Staying in Kihei while we were in Maui, we would come here often to get breakfast. You can order inside and the seatings are outside. They have a variety of breakfast/brunch items on their menu. You will see traditional breakfast food and Hawaiian food on the menu.I love being able to sit outside and enjoy breakfast first thing in the morning. The tables are right near the local streets and you will get a few friendly chickens walking on the side walks. This is a popular spot in Kihei so it does get quite crowded. Staff are always friendly and the service was quick despite peak time.“
“We've been here three times already in less than a week, so be warned this place is addictive. The people are very kind and the food is some of the best I've ever head. The fried Mahi Mahi and chicken teriyaki are both incredible.Parking: Very close through the beach.“
“Maui Sweet Shoppe is a delightful find for anyone craving unique and delicious ice cream on the island. Among its standout offerings, the Purple Ube ice cream is a must-try. It’s not just its vibrant color that captivates you, but the rich, creamy flavor that offers a taste of the tropics unlike any other. The shop boasts a friendly atmosphere, with staff who are as warm as the Maui sun, eager to share their love for ice cream with every guest. It’s a cozy spot to indulge in a scoop (or two) of the best local flavors, making it a perfect pit stop for both tourists and locals. Don’t miss out on this sweet experience – the Ube ice cream is a tropical treat you won’t forget.“
“Wow! Oao certainly lives up to its name! I was just gifted their Firecracker roll (mahalo Christian! So very kind of you) and it was AMAZING! Highly, highly recommend. It was so fresh and had such great flavors! I will definitely be back :)“
“Don’t know about “scenic view,” as it sits right on the main road. BUT the service was personal and friendly and the food was yummy good….finally had Loco Moco for the first time…. I’m converted! Thanks, Holly and sidekick. Donna and John“
“So good. I had the Pad Thai (3 stars-opened the sinuses). It was flavorful and the meat and veggies were tender. My husband had the Chicken Cashew Stir-fry (8 stars-had him reaching for the tissue box) and said it was delish. We both had Thai iced teas which were a perfect accompaniment to the spicy dishes. Highly recommend!“
“For one of the best Acai Bowls and Egg Sandwich on a toasted bagel with cheddar & bacon, simply a favorite! Service is what makes me coming back. They know my name now and are more accommodating than expected. Thank you again!Kid-friendliness: My 10 year raves about the Acai bowl and wants one every day!“
“i like the coffee here. this is coffee for peiple who like coffee (light-medium roasts, not just ice blended drinks with lots of sugar and cream). kahului location doesn’t have pourover, but kihei location does, so i prefer kihei. lots of seating but seats were still almost full on a friday afternoon. glad business is going well! ?“
“This place is one of our favorite parts of coming to Maui. We like to walk here on the beach in the morning to get breakfast. Excellent German specialties like homemade pretzels, tropical pastries like passion curd buns, and a nice selection of gluten free - banana bread, biscotti, and mochi are some of my faves.Convenient parking lot, friendly helpful service too.“
“Our server, Isaiah, was most helpful with the menu choices. We had the roasted beet salad and the Steak and Frites. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium plus, but it came out less than medium and had to be sent back to be cooked further. Other than that, it was a delicious meal in a great location.“
“This establishment possesses considerable appeal, both in terms of its location and ambiance. Upon ordering an espresso, it was noted that the beverage exhibited an acidic profile, lending it a sour flavor, which may suggest it was under-extracted. Additionally, the mocha was found to be somewhat lacking in flavor.“
“This place is the real deal!! Tacos were 10/10, amazing horchata and such a nice guy working behind the scenes. This is exactly where you want to go for late night eats in Kihei.Cute patio to sit and enjoy them as well.Vegetarian options: Simple menu overall that has still made space for a few vegetarian options! Love to see it.“
“Cute coffee shop,,attention to detail appreciated! However the croissants were disappointing, while they looked impressive , they were stale and doughy. Friendly staff, good cup of coffee. Got one of their refreshing juices in a jar , quite tasty!“
“The service was great. Must have gotten better since previous reviews! Dont let the hole in the wall fool you.Highly recommend the macadamia curry with short rib. We also got the chicken satay appetizer and it was a hit. My kids (5 and 7) loved their Thai fried rice.“
“Stopped by here a few weeks ago and .......wow! Ordered the Davy Jones Burger, Captain Jack's Ultimate Cheese and Shoyu Chicken. The portions were solid, the taste of all 3 items was wicked and the staff was great. Thanks Dan Nani Pirates.“
“My daughter specially wanted me to leave a review as a thank you for the wonderful experience☺️ We had empanadas and taquitos, they were both so delicious, plus they come with very tasty sauces. they were also very attentive! (I must say that I was impressed to see their spotless kitchen in the food truck)“
“Go here for the Hawaiian cocktail experience! We had the MaiTai and the Painkiller. Refreshing, beachy and strong. Also very friendly staff, laid back relaxing vibe, and the night we went there was some nice live music too!We also had the Shrimp Ceviche, which was not good at all unfortunately, try something else to eat.“
“I've cherished my mornings at Beach Street for years! The smoothies are a daily delight, and their milkshakes are absolute gems on hot days. Never had a mixed-up order – they're consistently fantastic. The açai bowls? Pure perfection! ?“
“The bartender was amazing. Bouncer very friendly.Loved the review board. If you want some tasty drinks, play some guess who while just enjoying the atmosphere then here is the place to be.Side note. For the review board.Don't go here if you are a jerk. If its busy have patience. It's worth the wait. And if not u will get to know the man up front..Cheers.“
“We were looking for a quick bite we settled on this place. And weren’t expecting much. We have been pleasantly surprised at the food and the service! Bianca went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our food while we ate outside. Jeremy the cook did an excellent job. During our stay in Maui this has been our favorite. So glad we stopped by.“
“I came there back in March 2024 and asked for a true Hawaiian Pizza. He explained to me that there's a difference in a Canadian Hawaiian Pizza and a true Hawaiian Pizza. I can't remember everything he said that was on it but I said yes I'll try that please. It was the best Hawaiian Pizza we have ever had. Thank you for showing us what the Hawaiian Pizza is all about. If we end up moving I will be a regular there. Such a nice guy, your Pizza was so worth waiting for.Kid-friendliness: Friendly for all.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get to the counter.“
“Coming from Los Angeles, I'm always a little skeptical about Mexican food in other states. But Amigos did not disappoint!Great service. Food and drinks were yummy. We left just as karaoke was about to begin, but I bet it would have been a fun time had we stayed.“
“We took our kids to a Luau at the venue and so glad we did, they were mesmerized by the show the whole time. I loved the more intimate setting in comparison with other larger shows, every seat has a great view and you don’t feel crowded or trapped into a tourist activity. Dinner and the show was very well paced. We got to enjoy the sunset over the golf course while listening to the music and sipping on our cocktails prior to the showKid-friendliness: Very welcoming and accommodating to a group with small children“
“Slightly off the main road, but certainly worth the detour. There is free parking across the way where the park is and a crosswalk nearby, so there was no hassle getting there. Excellent service and great ambiance. There was good entertainment in the picnic table area on a Sunday night. The crispy tofu sliders and the happy nachos were great options. They also gave us some bonus food items that were also fantastic. Never had anything like this food before, but would highly recommend. Purple lemonade was perfect, not too sour or sweet, tasted homemade. Absolutely will return here before leaving Hawaii.Parking: Park across the street in the parking lot next to the park. Then use the crosswalk on S. Kihei. Short walk and free. This was in the evening and on the weekend.“
