Save room for baked Alaska. Oh, and ambiance is chic but allows the focus to be where it belongs. On the food. Upscale West Loop experience in modest Portage Park for a lot less and no pretense.“

“I LOVE going to Ositos. It’s the perfect spot for brunch, dinner, or just for a drink to catch up with a friend. I have never been disappointed with food or drinks here! I highly recommend the quesaditzin (entree) and Palomaso (cocktail). Seriously the quesaditzin is so good, I crave It all the time!!!! Also, parking lot in the back is easy to miss, but it’s free! Lastly, the staff has always been so friendly!“

“We were able to grab a few seats at the bar - we ordered fries and a few cocktails. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they reopened. They have a really good pickle beer that is made at brewery close by. I look forward to returning and trying more of their food menu.“

“Sunday lunch was a wonderful experience for several reasons. The restaurant was open according to their posted store hours. A few years ago, this would have been a silly compliment. But these days, we have had several encounters in which we would arrive at an eatery and notice the doors are still locked even though it's past their usual store open hours. Needless to say, service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our party of six shared the smoked trout dip, calamari, charred pepperoni pizza, white mushroom and truffle pizza, Italian cheesecake, and tiramisu. The smoked trout dip is a tad high on sodium but I really like how it was served with flaxseed crackers. The pizza are served Romana style, therefore rectangular and fluffy. The crust is thin but with a crunch. Even better, they are half-price on Sundays!“

“I ordered the taco dinner with al pastor and steak. The portions were well served and the salsas they have are tasty. They bring out a small bowl of soup when you sit down and it was great way to start the meal. The micheladas are also great. I will definitely return and try something from their seafood menu“

“This is my absolute favorite neighborhood bar. They have Aviary style cocktails at Portage Park prices and amazing culinary fare. They have the best happy hour specials, and the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. The atmosphere wins the vibe check, and their music is always on point. Not that basic top 20 ish. I hosted my birthday party at their downstairs bar, which has a totally different cocktail menu. Our guests loved the venue and said the service was top notch. The owners are great!“

I’m a handy person and have constructed and repaired barstools; so possibly, the hardware for some of your barstools needs to be tightened up and or repaired.They are beautiful barstools!Other than that, I completely recommend Vistro Prime to every and anyone that receives this review and all my friends and family as always!“

Attentive service, warm and inviting staff from the start---Host, Bartender, Server, and Manager Chris who checks in with many tables---even on a busy night---when he's not guiding patrons in from the patio using table umbrellas during a downpour! Our dinners were wonderful--plated beautifully, and outstanding. Ceviche with scallops/shrimp is a favorite of ours. “okay, so we’ve been to Ørkenoy several times before and we always enjoy it. the food has a unique twist (Nordic modern) relative to Chicago’s culinary scene but it’s very accessible, a good value, and the drinks are solid. it’s usually just us, but this day we were a party of 8, including 4 children, which is kinda daunting for most restaurants. our server was totally great, friendly, and informative, and really welcomed the 5 folks who’d never dined at Ørkenoy before. the burgers were delicious, the kids loved the meatballs with lingonberry sauce, the pickled eggs were a hit, plus we adults all enjoyed our cocktails. one cool thing about the space is there’s a claw machine and freethrow hoops at the other end of the Kimball Arts Center, so the kids (with adult supervision) were able to divert their energies while the kitchen prepared everyone’s meals. i am uniformly amazed when i talk to chicagoans who have yet to dine at Ørkenoy, as it’s obviously very much worth checking out!Parking: Plenty of free parking options.Kid-friendliness: We brought 4 kids to lunch and nobody batted an eyelash. The kids were down to try everything and generally had a great time! Plenty to explore!“

I realized I was getting full as I was finishing my second one, so I stopped to wait for my wrap. The Mac and cheese balls are perfectly fried and an amazing cheesy taste. Plus they're served with a "ranch"sauce that is delightful. The tofu buffalo wrap was one of the best wraps I've had in a while because it's exactly my style- nothing over the top, just simple ingredients flavored and wrapped to perfection. The Bloody Mary was perfect as well! It's tough to find a vegan Bloody Mary, and this one was exactly the way I like- (again) simple and flavorful. You can get it spicy or not. I'll be back!“
