“As fans of the Bear, we had to stop by here for an Italian Beef Sandwich. The interior is nice and matches with the show. The service was very quick and the sandwich was affordable. Beware that there are some days out of the week that are cash only for payment. We believe the worker said Friday and Saturday. The sandwich had so much beef and the peppers added a good flavor. The jus that the sandwich is drenched in was a bit much for me and was kind of taking over the flavor profiles of the sandwich. It made it just a tad too oily so had to dock a star for that. Overall, do add this place to your food bucket list, especially if you're a fan of the Bear“
“What can only be described as awesome JTs delivers the best flavor for the buck. Eaten the pork tenderloin sandwich, beans and greens melt, coney fries and now the JT burger. None disappointed, and the simple fry sauce is burger-dippable. Buns and bread are toasted to perfection nice and soft so they’re super fresh. The owner Chris is warm and inviting and lives literally down the block. Should be at minimum a weekend destination joint and what’s more could be a place 2 or 3 days a week. I’m going to work all through menu; it’s great!“
“Fantastic little sandwich shoppe that now has a very well deserved spot on my 4.7+ > 100 Reviews list for Illinois.Unique and delicious sandwiches you won't find anywhere else. I got the CK1 the Bombay Chulet and loved both. I will definitely be back.“
“We had dinner delivered tonight. It came fast and it was hot. We ordered a Cuban sandwich, turkey with bacon, a horseshoe sandwich, Mac and cheese and a kids Dino grilled cheese with the best french fries! We totally recommend TriBecca's Sandwich Shop and give it a 10 plus!“
“What an awesome Chicago food experience! Get the Italian beef sandwich dipped and you won’t regret this beautiful and messy experience. Add the beef in a cup for bonus points and extra protein! The prices are very fair given how much beef you get. It’s a fun and messy sandwich spot and a must try if you’re in Chicago. I would go back in a heartbeat. Check out my photos.“
“Beth M was the most gracious, attentive and thoughtful employee. From the greeting to the final check, she was professional, kind AF, didn’t miss a beat and lemme talk about thorough. She made every customer feel like they were the only customer! That chica deserves a shoutout!Food and bevs - YUMMMMMMM AND vegetarian friendly“
“Cafe 53 in Chicago is an absolute gem and deserves every bit of praise it receives. I can't express how much I love this place! The moment you step inside, you're greeted with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed meal, catching up with friends, or enjoying some quiet time with a book. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Cafe 53 is a delightful mix of flavors and options. I've tried several dishes here, and each one has been a culinary masterpiece. Whether it's their delicious breakfast offerings or their mouthwatering sandwiches and salads for lunch, every bite is a taste sensation. And don't get me started on their coffee - it's the perfect pick-me-up to start your day. What truly sets Cafe 53 apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready with a warm smile. They make you feel like a valued guest with their prompt service and genuine hospitality. I've been a regular at Cafe 53 for quite some time now, and it never disappoints. If you haven't been here yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. It's a must-visit spot in Chicago for anyone who appreciates delicious food, a welcoming ambiance, and fantastic service. I can't wait for my next visit!“
“Extremely popular, and very touristy. We came here after watching some food blogger’s recommendation. And it’s worth. It’s a shack like hot dog stand. They are super fast and cheap. We got a Polish sausage sandwich. It was hot and came with some caramelised onions on top and some roasted peppers as side. The sausage was good and the peppers were very refreshing. The fries were given as a side and they were hot, crunchy, and well seasoned. They don’t have any done in facility. However, you can stand and eat on the standing racks. Those stands/ racks were quite dirty- so we ultimately ate sitting inside our car. Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for a low cost, fresh meal.“
“Panes is my favorite sandwich place in Chicago! Their sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced, and they bake their own bread fresh that is also available for purchase. Their soup is quite good, and they have a variety of dessert options. I recommend calling about 20 minutes ahead to save time on pickup orders, although I also enjoy walking in to eat there, with natural light and fun art on the walls. I usually order the Super Panes, although the Todo Italiano is also a favorite!“
“Amazing local deli with terrific, fresh ingredients. Lots of hard to find bottles of liquor and wine are available for purchase while as well (which I enjoy browsing while I wait for my sandwiches).Complimentary coffee is often available while you dine in, which has helped me many a morning. If you’re lucky, and come early enough on Sunday, they occasionally provide a complimentary Italian cookie for your coffee as well.Have only had the best meals, beer, wine and experiences from this location.“
“All the time we stopped by and shopped here, we were not disappointed, and it's been quite a few times. My family like this place every time they stop by. Their barbecue duck and pork are always fresh, and their vietnamese sandwiches are some of the best one on the area.“
“Sissy's is by far my favorite brunch place in the area. The food is just incredible every time. Tamales, empanadas, chilaquiles, sandwiches, chicken tortilla soup, aborrajados, all stellar. And the barista who is there on weekends makes a mean cappuccino too. Service is always great, music is always great, and I seriously can not emphasize enough how much I LOVE this restaurant.“
“Such a great place! You must stop here for lunch or early dinner if you live or work or go to school in the area. Homemade recipes and everything is fresh and made with care. Amazing friendly service and fantastic food! My son loved the grilled cheese and the grilled chicken sandwich and homemade soup was full of flavor. Will be our family’s go to spot to grab a quick meal!Vegetarian options: Homemade bean soup, veggie burger, salads, etcKid-friendliness: Great for anyone! Very kid friendly!“
“Overall Thoughts: I love this chain; their sandwiches are so delicious and some of the best subs I’ve ever had. The ingredients are fresh and the bread is soft and top-tier. The value is incredible with massive, filling portions for a very reasonable price. The menu is packed with creative options for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I’ve also gotten food from their Wicker Park location on the TooGoodToGo app, which has always been solid! The staff at both locations are friendly, and though I’ve never sat and dined at either location before, the interiors have a good amount of seating and chill vibes.Food I tried:- Magic Mushroom (Teriyaki Shrooms) with Wheat Bread (4.6/5): This sandwich was delicious! It paired well with the wheat bread, which was denser but soft and moist, especially when soaking up the teriyaki sauce. It was packed generously with veggies, which gave it diverse textures, and the teriyaki sauce added a sweet, umami flavor.- The Kind (Turkey, Bacon, Shrooms) with Garlic Bread (4.5/5): This sandwich tasted really good too; the house dressing tasted light and delicious. The bread is soft and the light turkey flavors paired well with the bacon and other lighter veggie flavors.- Chocolate Krispy Bar (4.2/5): This came in one of my TooGoodtoGo bags; it was good— very crispy and gooey, but wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to order it.- Mystery TooGoodtoGo Sandwiches (4.5/5): All the mystery sandwiches I’ve gotten from here on the TooGoodtoGo app have been delicious, leading me to conclude that you can’t really go wrong with any sandwich from here— they will all hit!—Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5Food: 4.5/5Ambience: 4.6/5Overall Value: 4.6/5“
“Their deli sandwiches are the absolute best! I’ve introduced several of my friends to Lil Guys and they all can attest most recently I tried their thin crust pizza with mushrooms and it was so surprisingly delicious! The mushrooms were sautéed to perfection and the spices on the pizza/in the sauce were excellent. My sandwich of choose there is the pesto turkey but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!“
“I visited for the first time with a friend for brunch at her suggestion, and wow! The service and the food was excellent! I had a chicken salad sandwich and it had the perfect touch of sweetness! I was glad to find this place not far from my neighborhood, and I’m happy to support them again.“
“I visited la Sandwichera during their “hangover special” event on New Years Day. You can tell this family owned business puts a lot of love and care into their food. Sandwiches were great, the sancocho soup was a hit! The staff was friendly and hilarious. Being there felt like I was home. And we can’t forget the amazing clock on the ceiling!!“
“Nonna's lives up to the hype! There is not one item on the menu that isn't delicious- consider this shop my current obsession. Nonna's catered a group lunch recently and there were ample leftovers for everyone, so I was lucky to try a good portion of their menu. The sandwich platter included halves of their chicken parmesan, eggplant parmesan, Pacino, roasted turkey, and meatball sandwiches. There were additional family style orders of their kale salad, antipasti chopped salad, and chocolate chip cookies. All were absolutely outstanding, but my favorite of the sandwiches was actually the turkey! It's beautiful in its simplicity, and all of the flavors went together so well. The bread was perfectly chewy, and I loved how the broccoli gave a nice crunch to the smooth dill cheese and sweet/spicy honey mustard mayo. A close second was the meatball sandwich, which was spicy, loaded with delicious cheese, and contained some of the most tender meatballs I've ever tried. The antipasti chopped salad was also an absolute explosion of flavors and textures- do not sleep on this! The chocolate chip cookies were about the size of my face, and were beautifully soft on the inside, crispy on the outside, and dusted with a perfect sea salt sprinkle. I am already thinking about the next visit (hopefully in person), and can't recommend Nonna's highly enough!“
“It was my first time coming in and get some food from them I live 3 minutes away from them and I never have gone since they open… WHY I TOOK SOOO LOONG!!! This is the great good light and healthy I can’t wait to go back tomorrow and get the breakfast!!! GREAT GREAT JOB YOU GOT A #1 client!“
“Best place to be with friends. They have excellent, quality, and overall delicious food! The sandwiches were well prepared with a patient worker to take our orders as we were looking at the best deal menus with the greatest prices that I’ve ever seen in a sandwich shop. Totally recommend anyone near the area or visiting.“
“I just discovered Rosie's and it has quickly become my absolute favorite sandwich shop in Chicago! Everything is top-notch but the bread by far and away makes the sandwiches stand out above so many other spots. Italian, 3 P's, meatball, you name it. Best!!“
“There are better known Italian deli's in town, especially in West Town and West Loop. Why is this under the radar is beyond me. These subs are phenomenal. In fairness, I've only ordered the Italian House Specialty, so I can't comment on the others. But dang, it's SO good. This place is no frills, but I wouldn't have it any other way. And a great value. Do yourself a favor, and skip past those others and give this a whirl. You can thank me later. Ok, my mouth is watering.Kid-friendliness: Kids love sandwiches. And its laid back.“
“I can’t express the joy I feel when I have life changing food!! I was brought to this restaurant and everything I ate and drank was divine, and most of it was very healthy! Refreshing, flavorful, unforgettable. We tried some new dishes that aren’t on the menu yet, met the owner of a fabulous tequila company, and enjoyed every moment. Please friends, do me and yourself a favor and come to Chicago to eat here.“
“8 years ago, my step granddaughter had baked a tray of brownies and left them on the stove. I had about 4 and half until my eyes started closing on their own. My vision spun black, to white, to even maybe red orange and yellow. I was terrified of the way I felt- it was my first time under the influence of marijuana besides in the clove cigarette I smoked back in '68. I had the AK-47 at Cheba Hut yesterday. It stayed perfectly warm in my bag despite my 25 minute moped trek home thanks to the thorough wrapping of the employees. The wife questioned why I smelt like roast beef after supper that night, but I assured her it was just from the Cheba Hut- and not to mention the best damn "toasted" sub I've had in these odd 71 years of life.“
“Fast food store. Has sit down. Best food in the O'hare airport. You might have to wipe off your own counter, but given the food is so good it's worth it. I'll even go here if my flight is in concourse B or the other end of “
“Let's face it it's a Mr Sub or a Midway Sub all in all it's all the same old sub or pork sandwiches or pork submarine sandwich places where the meat is what it is not so real but just passes for being some sort of meat.. let's be honest here it's not what you call the quality meat that you would get at a deli. It's a great sandwich when you really want to eat something with a lot of calories and sloppy oil and vinegar and mayonnaise especially when you're looking to cheat on your diet or if you're drunk at 3:00 in the morning.. the only thing that's great about it is the real Italian bread is really and for some reason the oil and vinegar really complements the bread and then it complements the subpar atrocious meat or tuna or whatever your sandwiches is. The prices are very fair not like it is today at Subway where Subway's prices are out of the realm of costly, so you save money here and let's face it you get your basic flaky lettuce and your subpart tomatoes and onions and then you get your subpar meets basically that's what you're getting but again it's still a good bread, I can't understand how the bread is so good at these sub or Mr sub or Midway Sub or Port submarine places, and this one used to be a mistress sub but they changed the name years ago but it's all the same. The fountain drinks are really good just enough syrup in drinks, you won't get that at 7-11 LOL.“
“Went to this location I got to say the best one so far by far there was this wonderful lady who was so Polite, professional, and courtesy. I believe she was manger named geneva if I recall right the sandwhich are already amazing but when they make it with extra love taste even “
“Today’s experience is on 1/12/24 a Cold Saturday afternoon.Service was great (great as I even left a smal tip)Food was fastBread was FRESHFries were fresh and HOTClean bathroom and dining roomWorkers got along great and it showedWe liked it ALOT“
“We used Fat Shallot catering service for a birthday party and everything was great. The service was on time and items as described. the sandwiches were of great taste and look. We specially loved the truffle BLT, it was to die for. We will definitely use them again in the future!“
“If there was one word to describe these sandwiches. It'll be rich. Rich and greasy. The pastrami isn't cut thick like Jewish delis. It's more thin slices of pastrami. The waygu cheesesteak was a bit overrated.Service was fast. They let the garbage pile up on the trashcan.Parking: No parking availableIn downtown Chicago“
“I've been going to fantanos since the late 80s and ever since then it's been delicious from the crisp fresh bread to the great Italian meats on the sub...id recommend all there sandwiches but hands down my overall favorite isTHE BLOCKBUSTER...? Thank “
“When you talk about top notch service with quality food and all for a great price, look no further than Halstead 311. The ladies at Halstead 311 are what get me through my work day. They are the hardest workers and are always there to make you laugh. There is not a single item on the menu that isn't amazing. There is also no place in or around the city that can compete with their pricing. All in all, this is one of the best spots around and I highly recommend to anyone in the area.“
“Hi! I've been going to Mom and Dad' s for over 30 years. They have a Great selection of home made items like the soups salads and the Sandwiches are the freshest and Delish. The store is neat and clean and has plenty of room for dine in lunch or you can take out. Great food , Reasonable prices . Nice location . For my Buck you can not beat it.“
“The entire crew at the Peterson location is the best in the city! Special shout out to Jason for his exceptional customer service and for going over and beyond to fix my order from another store. I would definitely recommend this location and is set as my preferred location!“
“I want to thank District Manager Matthew Parks and Jersey Mike's for providing free subs for my student film! Matthew was an absolute pleasure to work with and he was incredibly accommodating to our needs! The subs, as always, were delicious. Jersey Mike's has made a fan for life, and I will always recommend them!“
“What can I say about Mr. Sub? Only that it is my favorite cold sandwich place downtown. I always go with the classic regular sized Mr. Sub sandwich. You can also get chips, drinks, soup, etc. The line might look long but it moves fast. It's a bargain too. Love this place.“
“Great sandwiches, beer selection, and shot special in a cozy, local neighborhood setting where, like cheers, everybody knows your name. There are 3 connected businesses here. A package goods liquor store with a great selection and reasonable prices. A sandwich bar with tasty sandwiches, beer, and limited mixed drink options. A draw for locals and visitors alike. The latest addition is a coffee shop, which is clean, white, and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. There are limited coffee options in walking distance in this corner of the neighborhood. Coffee is one of the few things I make well, so I can't comment on the third establishment. If like the other 2, I'm sure it's a great early time gathering spot.“
“the sandwiches are fresh, made to order and delicious. the men, they are so nice, I inquired they are of Yemen descent living the american dream of being Small Business Owners. they are in hollywood house, a senior living residence I believe, and how they are so helpful to the elderly who they serve is simply amazing.“
“I have been here several times. I always enjoy the food. I have a cheese steak these days, it is well made. I sort of think of them as a decent restaurant pretending to be a fast food place. The ingredients are fresh, and it's made to order. I am glad it isn't right by my office. So it stays a nice treat.“
“This is the best sandwich shop! You can tell the bread is fresh and the deli meats are freshly sliced. We ordered online for pickup and got a bogo deal through Uber Eats so we didn't have much interaction with the service. On the inside it's a little shop with a bar and limited seating. Luckily we live a half mile away because I will definitely be craving this. Pro tip: add banana peppers to the west sider.“
“I was driving home and saw their white sign outside. Decided to stop and try it out. I ordered the Spicy Italian sub and a Breaded Steak sandwich. They were delicious! So good that I couldn’t stop to take a picture. I’ve passed by this place for years and never stopped to look. That changed today. I will be going back pretty soon and often.“
“For bagel sandwiches this place is best! I always go for the breakfast sandwiches but have enjoyed some of their lunch sandwiches too. My favorites are the dude, the breakfast bagel with scrambled eggs, the Denver and the puck and I always add chipotle mayo. It's worth it to order ahead online and if you're a cold brew fan they have some of the best!“
“Food was delicious. Had a Cheesesteak and the Mac-N-Chs bites (which were fabulous)Only not-great thing about my visit was it was late on a Saturday, they were a bit swamped, and 3rd Party Delivery drivers were (understandably) getting antsy about the waitI will have to try it again when it's less hectic“
“The best deli sandwiches! I had a “basic” turkey sandwich but it was so dang good that she must have made it with love and some secret ingredients because it doesn’t even make sense how good it tasted. I got it will all of the toppings and the turkey was actually juicy and flavorful. Same with the Reuben ($2 off on Tuesdays). Husband said it was the best Rueben of his life (I tried it and agree). Instead of eating in the overpriced food court at the museum, hop over and support this local place instead. You will not regret it!“
“Coming from Texas and finding a place in Chicago area that has really good tacos I was surprised. The al pastor tacos were amazing and the hot sauce was very good , small amout of kick with smooth taste. And the prices are very good for what you get.“
“Best Reuben and customer service in Chicagoland! We held a Reuben taste test competition and the corned beef factory won unanimously! It had the best quality and quantity corned beef. The bread was not too hard and not too soft with a delicious flavor. The Reuben didn't even require additional thousand island dressing dipping sauce. The staff is nice, funny, and super accommodating.“
“LOVE Brett's Kitchen! My office is close to Brett's, so I eat there quite frequently. I have NEVER had a bad meal. Their soup specials are always delicious, their sandwiches are great (BLT with avocado is my favorite) and the pumpkin bread & other breads are fantastic. Highly highly recommend!!“
“I always go to this place after my classes. This is my go to place. The staff are very friendly and kind. I love the way they make the order. They make it really quick but with attention. I would really recommend this place. Definitely do check it out.“
“This has a vibe of anything can jump off. I was there and a Crack head in there singing for money. A guy was talking crazy to the cashier and another yelling about his food time even though he just came in . You must be aware when visiting this places. It say be careful at all time. Now for the food. My favorite was the jimshoe however the cook has change and now it garbage. I'm so disappointed. It a hit or miss going there now.“
“everything here is top-notch and I promise that I will always come back for more. great sandwiches and the atmospheres really cozy and it feels like home. If you haven’t already, I highly suggest trying there pasta, sauces, and actual pasta in the far corner of the store because they made my dinner a Michelin star.“
