“I hosted a private group cooking class for 25 people for my birthday, and everything was absolutely perfect! The space is beautiful and needed no addition decoration. I connected my ipad to the built-in sonos speakers to play my spotify playlist, and I was able to project a picture slide show on the large tv display monitors. From the moment I walked in he had everything accounted for - circular name tags for the wine glasses, hair ties for those with long hair, latex gloves, glasses for beverages (it's BYO), bottled and sparkling water, etc. Chef Naveen and I consulted on the menu and he took into account people who had food restrictions. Everything we made was absolutely delicious. I didn't tell my group we were cooking Indian food because some people automatically assume they won't like it, but let me tell you there were NO LEFTOVERS! The staff was amazing, always cleaning and organizing in the background. Chef Naveen was the highlight of the evening! He was so funny and engaging and he could remember everyone's name. My guests absolutely loved him. Everything was absolutely perfect. I give him 10 stars and will definitely be back again!“

Firstly Remedy, Sarah Ann and Andrea were super responsive, totally knew all their stuff and were incredibly respectful of our budget and desires. We got to the venue and honestly everything was done and done better than I could have imagined. They flipped the room after the ceremony and I can't get the picture of how beautiful it looked out of my mind! They know how to set a gorgeous table even with our sort of minimal decor. The lead greeted us and asked us only necessary questions and then just got it done which was a godsend because of all the chaos of our families and wedding party etc. We came back to the private room after our photos and there was a gorgeous plate of appetizers and our signature drinks there waiting. All of our guests told us how amazing the food was, bar staff was great, and not a single thing was out of place or late or off. At the end of the night them or the venue staff Both? (they worked in tandem with Ovation, Chicago) handed us a box of all our stuff rounded up from everywhere and thank god they did because by midnight I dunno if we would have been super able to find it all ourselves! I was delighted to see other products made fresh like the cabbage rolls that I did not hesitate to ask for. They were sold by weight so I bought 2 pounds, 1 IB with no sauce and 1 IB with what seems like a thin layer of tomato sauce. I did ask for extra sauce which I thought I was getting a few ounces but only saw that she gave a 1 oz ($.35) added to my bill. (I suggest you not get extra sauce). I did see a box of kolaczki cookies on top of the deli counter and I thought they were made in-house (they are not). The cookies were doughy and not enough fruit jam. Overall, the food was fantastic and I would come back for more cabbage rolls and fresh pierogi's. Location is convenient and they have limited free parking spots on the side of the building.“

The tasting was a first of its kind experience for me and everything was so delicious it was hard to decide what not to include... but Nit helped guide my decisions, knowing from experience what people want to eat at a party, how they want to eat it, and how much of it they will eat.. but his greatest feat of the night may have been his last minute change to the floor plan to put a quad bar in the middle of the room, resulting in quick, no line beverage service the entire evening! I received many compliments specifically about just that!! They served alcohol provided by me, and when we started to get low on tequila and vodka, Nit sprung into action, ran down the street, and came back with 7 bottles of each!! I wanted food stations and not a sit down dinner. they set up 3 stations around the room, each with something different, as well as an amazing desert table, and the service from the staff was outstanding !! I would definitely recommend using J&L catering for your event. I would also recommend slightly over estimating your number of guests as I did to be sure you hopefully have a little leftovers of each item, not only because it was delicious, but because if you have no leftovers, it means at some point, you ran out... My mother in law, who has past professional experience in the industry as well, was able to book his team for a subsequent event for her office and she sang his praised for that event as well. “We are so happy we booked Biagio for our wedding!! We first met with Zaneta at the very beginning of our venue search, she answered every question (and I had many!), I am still amazed by how quickly she replied to my emails. She was so incredibly patient and worked with us to make our day special. We absolutely loved the rustic vibe and cool decorations, it has a loft style to it. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner right next door (at a discount) which was a huge perk and convenience. The food sold us - Blanca made sure every detail was perfect for our wedding!! “Tried the Jerk Burger at the Rock & Rail Festival. Hands down, this is one of the best burgers I’ve ever eaten in my life. The perfect kick of spice, amazing flavor on the meat, perfectly grilled and just the right amount of toppings. The chef was friendly and you could chat with him while he cooked. I will definitely remember J Spice for an incredible meal and would highly recommend them!“

Jane, who was our go to person throughout the planning, was truly exceptional. I really loved her energy and personality while speaking to her, she was very attentive and communicated very effectively throughout this entire process and then I took that first bite and was sold. The food was so flavorful and the presentation was beautiful, and creative I knew I wanted her and Entertaining Company to cater my wedding. To this day my guests can’t stop talking about how amazing the food was: flavorful and warm and the service was impeccable. They also created our escort candy boxes, and provided our late night bites and coordinated with our wedding venue and florist and created custom dessert trees which were a big highlight of the night! They also created our wedding cake which was very tasty and beautiful too! We wanted unique, different, fun, and overall excellent quality for everything and that is exactly what we got! The portions are large and the prices are reasonable and the Gingembe is made in-house. Would totally recommend this restaurant experience.“
