“Five stars all around for this wonderful restaurant! As first time diners we weren't sure what to expect as all dishes are gluten-free, however every dish was delicious and satisfying. Our party started with 2 very tasty appetizers of Mussels and Cheese Curds. We then enjoyed the House and Seasonal Salads, both having a wonderful honey mustard vinaigrette. For an added touch, the Seasonal Salad was topped with goat cheese. I can't say enough about our entrees. Not only were the presentations well done, all tasted as wonderful as they looked! The Skate Wing with Snap Peas was a mild white meat fish, with caper brown butter sauce. The Short Rib was perfectly done and topped with brown sugar glaze. The Hanger Steak, ordered medium rare, had a roasted peppered chutney, charred on the outside, and two roasted whipped sweet potatoes. Our meal was topped off with the Julian's Frozen Custard dessert and espresso. The restaurant itself is somewhat small, with a cozy and charming feel to it so reservations are a must! Our service thruout the evening was exceptional so kudos to the attentive staff. A final note there is additional parking across the street so take advantage when the main lot is full. Will definitely be dining here again!”

“Jude's has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Crystal Lake. I love the variety of internationally inspired options and the size of the plates is perfect. I brought a very large group of ladies there for Black Friday, everyone has particular tastes and was able to find something they liked. They have a very trendy area in the back with a huge couch/bench for larger parties which was so comfortable. To top it off, the staff are always kind and accommodating during our visits!”

“Been here several times and always great service. They may take a bit of time to get to your table because it's always busy and they will get to your table. Be patient for the sushi lol it's worth the wait . All rolls are good and appetizers as well. I like to order tobiko roll and put the fish eggs on each roll lol . Enjoy your meal and buy a souvenir waving solar cat they have a ton of styles .”

“Took my wife here for valentine's day and it was fantastic. The food and drinks were amazing, great appetizers and great service, if you want real Italian this is the place to go.We will be back for sure.”

“Absolutely love this brewery! Hoptopus is my fav CL IPA! They don't serve anything else but beer and popcorn along with cucumber lemon water! Now they do have vendors and there's so many places that you can hit up if you're hungry before or after. It's located in downtown Crystal lake and it does have its own parking! They also organize fun game nights and music events depending on the season! Summer it's so fun! I cannot wait to come back and have a cold hoptopus! The service is amazing, you come you sit and order and enjoy .. repeat! That's all for now”

“The gentlemen at the counter were courteous, enthusiastic about their products, and very entertaining. I could have stayed all day! They had a sample platter with turkey and ham salad, bread slices, and pimento cheese spread. It was delectable. I can't wait to go back with my girlfriends and enjoy a quaint lunch in their café.”

“This is a takeout only restaurant. Food is excellent. I ordered a small meal ahead for 2 people and was treated very well. Bill was professional and had helpful suggestions. For amazing deep dish,pasta, or cannolis I highly recommend you try this place.”

“Places like these are based on service. Of course the food is great and the atmosphere is busy with great ambiance and the music is tasteful. But our server, Nick is the reason i will frequent this place until i die. He was attentive. Not once did i have to ask for a drink refill. Not once did i have to ask if the food would be ready and this was a Saturday night and the place was packed. For a young man like Nick to have such a positive attitude and suggest such great choices for us to eat, it’s unheard of these days. We had so much fun and were well entertained. I really hope he’s there next time we go. I look forward to it dining there again. Thank you, Nick.”

“We made reservations and brought our 9 week old, they had the high chair all set up and ready to go when we got there. Very friendly staff, amazing food. Will definitely be going back!”

“Haven't been there in years. My son chose it as our place to go. Couldn't find the door, but once I did, had a wonderful experience. Everything was great.Vegetarian options: There are a lot of vegetarian choices.”

“Had a great experience here! It's my second time coming and the first was middle of the road but this second time was great. Our server was attentive, kind, and quick. We got pancakes and eggs, pretty simple order. The first visit I wasn't digging the flavor on the cakes but they were much better this time. Notable was the black coffee - probably the best I've had at a restaurant... when you don't add cream and sugar, you notice the quality... it was fantastic! Light roast, fresh, no grounds at the bottom. I appreciate that. Parking was easy, we didn't have a wait, and the place was clean. Also, they have a coat closet!!! Living in a cold climate, I appreciate that as well :)”

“Husband picked up rib tips for me tonight as a surprise, after seeing a picture posted month or so ago. THEY WERE EXCELLENT!! Nice smokey flavor, but not overpowering. The BBQ sauce was out of this world. Fries? OMG!! Y'all got to go try these!”

“The food is OUTSTANDING. The beer can chicken was so delicious! We ordered online, and to no fault of the restaurant’s- the app we ordered on never sent a delivery person to pick up the order. The restaurant sent their own person out to deliver it to us (in a different town even), which they absolutely did not have to do. They even re-made the food (again not their fault) to make sure we had fresh, hot food that was delivered. It was so fantastic, we had to immediately write a review because we loved it so much. Highly highly recommend.”

“Chef Ceaser was a blast! We enjoyed our meals and come here often. Prices have increased and it seems we get less food each time we come in, at least compared to our neighbors at the table. Places is always busy and no matter a reservation or not it’s always a wait in the crowded entry so be prepared for that. Go closer to closing time for a better environment”

“Fun, kitschy old-fashioned tiki bar with great cocktails (especially mai-tai’s), yummy egg rolls, and various tasty and reasonably priced Chinese dishes, nicely presented. Our favorite is the Har Sue Pea Pod. If you’re lucky you might have Danny as your server; he has been there 54 years now, and I’ve never had better, warmer customer service! Live music adds to the atmosphere on Friday and Saturday nights or try karaoke night for a lot of fun. In the summer, the large outdoor patio is lovely too.”

“Love eating at this place! Great food for either dining in or carry out. On Tuesdays the dining area is closed and they just have a drive-through "buy one get one free" pizza deal which we participate on a regular basis. The workers are very friendly and food is always good. Also they have peanuts you can eat and toss the shells on the floor which pairs well with the Northwoods, rustic themed atmosphere.”

“Great place and food is very good depending what you get. Do not get their chicken is only thing I don't like from here. They need to have more than 1 server though because poor lady works her butt off while she is alone. Common occurrence so please be patient with the waitress you have.”

“we've been going to Chen's for over 30 years at least once a month. people are awesome, the food is outstanding and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. disregard negative reviews. anyone that goes there on a regular basis would highly recommend. a nice family restaurant not a chain.”

“Great store. Clean and well stocked. The hot dogs are yummy. They even have sauerkraut in the condiment area. I never leave without a hotdog to go. Plus, a soda to boot. All under $2.”

“Had ordered a pizza for myself and a few coworkers. Asked to have it cut pie style but the employee cut it square style.It was a timed work lunch so I didn't have time to wait and have it remade as they suggested. In return they gave me 50% off the pizza and a 2 liter of Pepsi for the inconvenience.As I explained it was not the end of the world. The staff was very apologetic and I left a very satisfied customer.Oh and as a bonus....the pizza was devoured by all!”

“Love the variety of smootie and food options here, not only that but you basically have the ability to create you own drink when you use the app and they have awesome options like 3g energy, whey boost, vitamin and zinc boosts you can add as well to make it that much better for you! At this location they were friendly which I always appreciate, it was clean of course smelled amazing, lots of natural light very good vibes for a health smoothie food place. Only this is I wish the watermelon breeze was year round it the only smoothie I'm really partial to being so picky”

“Great sports bar with lots of Chicago sports memorabilia, great service from a lot of friendly staff, but the food only hits halfway home. The pizza comes in two kinds of cooked; either halfway done or really overcooked and still undercooked under its shell. But the wings? They're an amazing different story. Better than Buffalo Wild Wings to me.”
