“Didn't expect to stop in, but where I was a little lost looking for a soccer field, we decided to get a quick bite till we found the right place and won the game 5-2Parking: Right off a main street, it is easy to get in, and service was great“
“Predictable but why change a good thing and then there's Barnelli's Pasta Bowl. A delicious alternative to the hot dog.Parking: Good separation between drive up lanes and parking for walk in but single lane until entry, not an indication on how crowded inside.“
“My favorite sub shop in northern IL, even after moving 40 minutes away I still go out there just for a sub and fries. Awesome family owned business. Yankee Doodle and the Capicola Pomidoro are my family’s favoritesVegetarian options: There are 3 off the top of my head, all I have tried and one is my go-to“
“I work in the area and was looking for a sandwich shop that wasn't a chain (jimmy johns, subway, etc..) so I decided to try this place out a few weeks ago. I've been here several times now to grab lunch and it has been wonderful. Sandwiches are fresh and delicious. Prices are extremely reasonable. The bread they use is incredible. Highly recommend checking this place out.“
“Today we were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. It has been a year since we left a review. The dining room is the same and very clean! The person who took our order was really nice and professional as always! I ordered the 1/2 slab of ribs it came with a side salad, a 6" piece of corn on the cob, and fries which I upgraded to the baked potato for $1 more. The baked potato was quartered and a huge potion size so definitely worth the extra $1. The 1/2 slab of ribs had about 7 bones... so you got a decent amount! My husband ordered the Italian beef and added Provolone cheese for 65 cents which was well worth it! I posted a video for each of our food items. We loved our food and would definitely order it again!“
“We are in love with this place! We went here out of the blue because it was recommend by one of the parents of the children in my mom’s classroom. Since then we have been here about 3-4 times in the last 2 months. Each time has been amazing. The food is amazing! We have had the same server (I wish I could remember her name) she is amazing! The pricing for the food is very reasonable and the portions are great! Highly recommend coming here. There is a huge variety of foods also.My person favorite is the pulled pork nachos!“
“I used to go here all the time as a kid growing up in Woodstock. I was recently back in town and decided to give it another try. It completely holds up to my memory of the restaurant! What was even more exciting was what I decided to order off the menu... A sloppy joe sandwich and waffle fries! Where else can you order THAT in a drive thru??? Not only that, but the sloppy joe was sooooooo good. Big ol' pieces of onions and green peppers. Seriously well made. Not just loose meat on a bun. The waffle fries are a staple here and are always crisp and hot. THE BEST!!“
“Stopped in Chi Town Dogs for the first time, after driving by for years. It was around 2pm Wednesday nobody was in the place. I ordered the two hotdogs with fries and drink special, and a Gyros. The fries were excellent. The hotdogs were good even thoe they were luke warm inside not hot. and the gyro was pre sliced then fried even though they have a gyro spit which was clean and had nothing on it(especially at 2 o’clock in the afternoon).I’ll give this place another try next time I’m in the area. I like fresh cut fries, after growing up with Jimmy’s hot dogs in Chicago, and Gene and Jude‘s in River Grove. if the hotdog was hotter inside it could definitely compete with them. Would’ve gave you five stars, if the hotdog was hotter, and the gyros was fresh off the spit.“
“The fries are the best! Thick and crispy? the window workers at the drive through are super polite. The baklava seemed like it had a strange texture but maybe it was just me? THE SODAS ARE FRESH HERE I've been to too many fast food places that don't put enough syrup in their soda machines so the sodas taste like bland carbonated water or are way too watery.“
“Love, love, love this place! They have the BEST fries I have ever had. Pretty much anytime I'm out in Huntley, I have to stop by to get some of those delicious, hot, salty, perfect fries. (I don't eat meat, so I can't speak on that.) They cut the potatoes in the restaurant daily-- that's gotta be why they are so good! I also love that their menu is simple, not overwhelming with too many options. Everything is made fresh to order. I can't say enough good things about Beef Shack. I'm addicted!!Kid-friendliness: My kids love their food and there are paper towels on the tables....enough said! :)“
“Very good inexpensive food. The service was great, the guy was extremely educated about his job and extremely honest. The ambiance of the restaurant was very classic and calm and there was nice music with a view of IL 120. During my order the guy accidentally clicked 2 Italian beefs and before giving the food he simple apologized and gave the money back for the extra sandwich. Very respectful.“
“Very friendly welcoming atmosphere, the hot dogs were great. So we're the fries with cheese. Better then portillos by a long shot. The salad wasn't my cup of tea, but I did love that it came with cucumbers and tomatoes. Definitely freshly prepared.“
“Delicious Chicago "Vinnie-Beef" Stuffs, Friendly workers trying to get good food in-and-out as they should, and a pleasant atmosphere with outdoor seating next to the school. Definitely worth a try if you're headed down towards Island Lake.Parking: Parking is usually empty.“
