“We used to come here, all the time. Now, one of our favorite staff is gone and our other only works on weekends. And, the reviews were not good for a while. But, I've always loved this place and convinced my friends to try again.So glad we did! The food is as good as it always was (even though my unfortunate dietary needs have limited me.) And our server--Rebecca--was SO on top of things! She guided me every step of the way, and even alerted me to bad for ME ingredients in some of our old faves. She made us feel like she had no other customers for the evening. She was so attuned! Good to see some other familiar faces, as well.The only reason I had to score low was not really Tia's fault. One of my friends required a proper chair, rather than one of the higher ones or a seat at the bar. So, we had to sit in back. Sadly, there was a group of young women, having a birthday party. Not only were they so loud that I had to shout to be heard--and usually I'm the one being told to be quieter--but they really dwarfed the entire room with their selfishness. So, not a critique on my beloved Tia Pol. This is more of a warning to keep a lookout for big groups of women if you're going to sit in the back room. Otherwise, you're in good hands!“

It was cooked well, but I think I was expecting gallego seasoning (since it was a Spanish restaurant), but it was really more like grilled pulpo. If you’ve never tried pulpo before, try it here, but otherwise, I would have chosen something more unique. The chorizo and garbanzo played their part serviceably.We followed it with the Uni Palabok. The uni and caviar were very tasty, and it was nice to try quality ingredients. However, the relative intensity of the sauce somewhat drowned out the more delicate flavors of the uni and caviar.(From my wife who grew up eating Palabok, it is *extremely* elevated)Our last entree was the Lengua de Champinon, and it was phenomenal! The tongue was expertly cooked and wonderfully tender, and the creamy mushroom sauce was a great pairing for it.For dessert, they don't have it listed on the menu yet, but they had some Tres Leches cake available. The cake was perfectly saturated with milk sauce while maintaining it's form, and instead of the standard whipped cream, it had meringue on top which was quite interesting!It was a bit pricey, but the menu is online so that's no surprise.“

The venue was everything we wanted- Spanish decor, moody, romantic, cozy, and beautiful greenery in the courtyard and deck. The food and cocktails were delicious! Our event coordinator, Lee, is knowledgeable, super responsive, and organized. The staff was well equipped, attentive, and knew how to run an event. Our wedding went smoothly and Lee was there to address any unexpected concerns and provide support throughout the day. “Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“

This place came up in my Yelp search so we decided to check it out. Once we were seated and able to check out the menu, we opted for meatballs, the pulpo and cocktails. And the chocolate lava cake to finish. The dishes, drink and dessert we had were great. If the few dishes we ordered tasted that great. I can only imagine how great the rest of the menu must be. It's a cozy, dimly lit but inviting spot. And the service was good. I can't wait to return!“

They even brought out two tapas to thank us for waiting it out. The octopus (seared perfectly), and mushroom croquettes were his favorite, while the shishito peppers, and camarones de ajillo were my strong favorites (I needed more bread for the amazing hot garlic olive oil at the bottom). I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you have any interest in Spanish tapa style of food. The potatoes bravas were good, I like mine super crispy so I would ask for that the next time.
