“Beautiful restaurant! My family and a friend ate here for lunch. We ordered a Caesar salad, Chicken Tabaka, and Potato Pirogies. All fresh and delicious! The staff was very friendly. We will definitely be eating here the next time we're in the area!“
“Some time ago I was invited to the “golden wedding” party of my friends' parents. This party was in Caspiy restaurant in Brooklyn. Exceptionally nice place with a warm atmosphere! Great people, wonderful food. I will definitely be back there again! Thank You so much!“
“Just been there yesterday first time . Was passing by from Canada . We were impressed!! Food was so delicious, every dish was piece of art . Absolutely no long time of wait . Staff was very professional, friendly . Just love the environment and design was WOW too ! Tnx a lot . Definitely will visit again when come back to NY ♥️“
“Stopped by on a Friday evening, the front entrance lent an atmosphere of allure as it was one door leading into two stores. One was a noodles shop and the other is the tea house. While we pondered whether or not to go in, an inflated Pikachu caught our eye. This woman started singing to the karaoke, she sang both Mandarin and Cantonese songs. She was actually incredible and although I wasn't expecting to be eating in this kind of atmosphere, I appreciated the live performance and was amazed. The Pikachu was dancing along to all the songs even the ballads and I was deeply grateful for the perseverance. Amazing showmanship from both of them.“
“Had the skirt steak and eggs. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and delicious eggs not so much.Service was meh while I don't like when they come over a dozen times nobody came over to you at all and you had to flag em for Service.I'll give the steak a 10 out of 10 though.“
“what an incredible experience. the place is packed all night long and serving the best squid ink pasta i’ve had. strachiatella and fig toast along with the mushrooms are essential too. the cheesecake for dessert hit home. fabulous wine list too. must go!“
“Nice Matin is a bright and lively restaurant. The servers are friendly, helpful, and often check in with your table. Their food is very good and has some unique brunch options (grapefruit with granola topping, scrambled eggs with Marquez sausage, etc.) Yet they have the beloved choices of egg benedicts, sandwiches, and entrees such as salmon and steak even at brunch time. The prices are very good for Manhattan and every seat was filled during our Saturday brunch.“
“This was planned to be a landmark, special occasion meal. It's surpassed anything we expected. The atmosphere is calm without being cold and service allowed you to focus on the person you were dining with. We had the Chef's tasting menu. Every dish was beyond what was expected. Yes, on some items the dish may have a look small, but it was a perfect fit within the overall meal and menu. It was a satisfying meal that was ended with an amazing dessert. It is easy to see why the waiter said the Arctic birds nest played a big part in earning those Michelin stars. “
“One of my favorite restaurants in all of Astoria! My husband and I always bring friends and family here when they visit the neighborhood. The staff is always so incredibly nice and generous (Miljan is usually our server and is so attentive and hilarious). We always have a wonderful time here, whether it’s a quiet weekday lunch or a packed Saturday night.“
“Another wonderful evening at this fabulous restaurant1 I must give a shout out to the bartender Josh, our waiter, Pedro and the impeccable host Stephan. The staff is just wonderful too. The special artichoke appetizer was just out of this world.“
“5 Stars all around! The atmosphere was incredible, the food was delicious and the service even better. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and gave great recommendations, one of the greeters Inga was so kind and took some great photos for us on our way out.“
“Isabella and Alfredo created a very unique establishment where its patrons will feel the vibe of visiting a friend's house for dinner rather than a restaurant. The ambiance is very eclectic, cozy and welcoming. You can tell the decor was hand picked by the owners and each individual piece tells a story, including the name which the owners were kind enough to share with us. Isabella's menu delivers Hungariarian flavor with a touch of Balkan spin, creating a rare feast for your tastebuds. The dishes are mouth watering, well cooked and flavorful. Many thanks to my fellow fine watch connoisseur, who's name I cant remember, my appologies. We really enjoyed our time there, the food and the friendliness of the owners are second to none!“
“We happened upon this delightful spot after touring the Intrepid. We were hungry for good food and were not disappointed. I had a Franziskaner draft and a cheeseburger, while cooked to well, when I asked for medium, it was well seasoned and had a good flavor on a nice hard roll. My wife had the grilled chicken wrap, I ate 1/2 of it and really liked it. It was a nice balance of pesto and mozzarella to chicken. The side salad wase nicely dressed. This was a seriously nice find, it was charming to walk into one of the oldest continually run bars in NYC and find great draft beer and food at an affordable for NYC price. The service was outstanding as well.“
“I never had Albanian food before. My doorman is Albanian and told me about this place. This cozy restaurant didn’t disappoint me! I can’t tell it’s authentic or not since I’d never had, but everything we ordered was delicious especially Tave Elbasani, the lamb was so tender with flavorful yoghurt sauce. I must come back for other dishes to try soon!“
“Stumbled by this bistro in Southampton and decided to go in for lunch. To our pleasant surprise we had a wonderful meal with excellent wine pairings suggested by our server, we loved our lunch so much we decided on having dinner at their NYC location the next evening, needless to say it was magnificent! Looking forward to trying the other locations….“
“Came here for dinner on a weekday. The place was not super busy but I think reservations are better to be made or else you will be eating under a time constraint. Decor is super typical Russian, straight to USSR time. The waiters and waitresses all dressed to the place, and the dinnerware were all in same style. My friend said the menu has a bit more Ukrainian influences but I have no reference. We ordered majorly appetizers.Cherry Vareniki: the cherry dumplings perfectly made as my Russian reference friend said. Each dumpling contains a piece of cherry, mostly sweet and some are tart. The fruity fillings are enclosed with a slippery dumpling sheet and you eat it with the paired sour cream. With the popping of the cherry inside, you get the tartness and the sweetness and the creaminess blended with the smooth texture of dumpling.Borscht: the beet soup with beef cheek. The beef is tender and stringy, and the soup of full of aroma from the beet. When you melt the sour cream inside the borscht, the cream makes the soup less tangy and more harmonic to my palate. I soaked my rye bread (one of the healthiest bread in my opinion, so healthy that it is so heavy to eat) in the borscht to help breaking down some rye and added some moisture. The bread doesn’t absorb so much borscht flavor but it is a great combo.Herring under the fur coat: one of the favorite things to eat now. I hate herring before because when not cooked properly, the herrings can be super oily and fishy. But the carrots and the beets balance well with the herring and with the creamy potato and mayo and egg. Instead of getting the fishy flavor, you get umami from the fish: I can eat this all day.Blinis with beef: if I know crepes were this good when paired with meat I should do it sonner. The blinis were folded perfectly into squares with lots and lots of beef. The texture is almost cheesy, so creamy and meaty and indulging. The blinis itself was buttery and smooth, and when I topped with sour cream, it added a bit of tangy. The leaves paired on top were bitter, helped to cut down the over saturation of the fat heaven I am in.Potatoes with mushroom and onion: nothing can go wrong with caramelized onions and butter sautéed mushroom and potatoes (previously roasted I think). We ordered this because my friend was vegetarian but this classic dish was way better than expected. The garlic, dill, butter, and salt really came through. I especially dig the onions.Didn’t get to try their beef stroganoff and napoleon cake but I am sure I will be back soon sometime. So far no dish has failed me yet.“
“I truly, truly love Babs. I've been coming here for a few years specifically for the oysters with the champagne mignonette - it's phenomenal. The ambiance is sophisticated and intimate, great for a small group of friends or a date. It pains me to give them four stars but I have to because of the service - I swear the waitress looked right at my friend and I waiting for a table and hid in the back. There were plenty of tables, so the bartender asked us if we'd like to sit, and then went and asked her to seat us. I felt like everything we asked for bothered her and I couldn't say thank you enough. Maybe it was an off night for her I'm not sure but from other reviews seems to be a theme. Go for the food and the bar! The location is amazing and it's nice to sit outside in warm weather.“
“Overall excellent BUT we were a party of 5 and seated in the rear (an area also used for private parties). The noise level was extremely loud- basically caused by a party of 6 right next to us. We were unable to hear conversations at our own table unless the person right next to us or directly across was speaking to you. We were there for Easter brunch so restaurant was crowded. There should be some noise attenuation in place due to hard ceiling and hard floors—noise just bounces. Food good but not quite up to par; however, I attribute that to the holiday and a full restaurant—as every other time I have dined here it has been close to perfect. The servers, host/hostesses, and the bussing staff were WONDERFUL! All polite, friendly and engaging. Highly recommended Cafe d'Alsace“
“1- Food = 5/5 Excellent. All of our food was served hot and delicious . Dishes were all a decent size. Drink were made quickly and properly ???2 - Service = 5/5 Excellent. Service with a smile. Never felt rushed and our water glass was always filled and our table was always clean.3 - Ambiance = 5/5 Excellent. Beautiful, well spaced dining area with ample space for guests.4 - Reservations = 5/5. Excellent. Using resy for reservations.5 - Value = 5/5 Excellent. We tried this restaurant a couple of times during the Covid -19 lock downs when the mayor and governor tried destroying the restaurants in N.Y.C but this restaurant was able to withstand the pressure and assaults when so many other restaurants caved and folded. Fairly priced for manhattan location, as price meets portions.Would definitely recommend and return.“
“The perfect pre theatre venue just steps from Broadway. From prix fixed entrees to a wonderful array of choices from trout, pasta, seafood risotto, steaks and more, and an extensive wine list, the food options are plentiful and delicious. The best part is the ambiance. Its a throw back to the awesome Josephine Baker's era with artwork to match. Sit by the piano as the pianist engertIns on multiple instruments accompanied by vocalist pumping out the best French ballads. It makes for a wonderfully unforgettable dining experience.“
“Fig & Olive offers an ideal setting for gatherings, boasting a variety of shared plates for starters, delightful cocktails, and delectable bread with olive oil. During our visit with eight colleagues, the ambiance felt akin to a family dinner. The service was welcoming, offering helpful recommendations without pressuring us to order more than necessary. My personal highlight was the mezze plate featuring babaganoush and yogurt with spicy honey.“
“My wife and I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is always good. Very affordable. The service is always great. Luis is the best. He is always friendly, accommodating, and makes sure you like what you ordered. When you visit ask for him. You won't be disappointed. The ambiance of the diner is so welcoming and elegant. It's very clean and inviting. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Check them out.“
