“Everything was perfection - from their service, to their drinks, to their food. We got the escargot to start, followed by the steak frites, pappardelle, and scallops. Everything was very yummy but the scallops were my favorite, and I will be ordering them again the next time I come!“
“This was a great find! Beautiful gem of a restaurant tucked away in bedstuy. Food recommendations were really appreciated as well as a nice bottle of red wine to pair with our meal. We will definitely come back and highly recommend. Great date spot!“
“A restaurant that has been on my list for too long! Tried their winter menu and it was so good! The ricotta gnodi has the most fresh red crab. The tuna toast was so flavorful. The yellow cake is so simple yet so delicious. A good restaurant can really turn simplicity into perfection. Bar Bête really did it! The service and ambience were outstanding too! The only thing is (not the restaurant’s fault at all) I wish the party of bros were not there yelling. I think they might have some misunderstanding about the restaurant’s name. It’s not a bar. It’s a perfect spot for date nights and friends gatherings but respect other guests’ experiences first.“
“There are not enough stars for this place!! It’s beyond any expectations! I will start with the atmosphere. It is cozy, European, comfortable, and like home!Food- I tried more different things, and honestly, I don’t know what I could recommend here; everything is so delicious, and I enjoyed every piece!Drinks- unique, fantastic mix, gives you an even better experience of all I already mentioneddService - people who work here make you feel comfortable, and they are ready for all your questions about food and drinks. Just ask them if you are not sure, and they will give you the best recommendation!!All in all, I suggest you to try this place! From my heart, I recommend this restaurant!“
“Came to NY for work and stumbled upon this GEM in downtown Brooklyn. Carlos is running an incredible Chef’s Table experience, better than any Michelin star restaurant I’ve been to in Chicago. My S.O and I had a romantic evening paired with hand picked wines from Carlos himself and an exceptional tasting menu. First time I left a fine dining experience FULL. The food was not only a work of art but an educational experience created with the highest quality ingredients available!“
“To recommend anything on the menu - shrimp Mac n cheese. We took this home and devoured it the moment we opened it and couldn't stop raving how good it was. My partner who doesn't even like truffle couldn't put it down. I recommend setting a reservation, we were fortunate to originally be seated at the bar, and then offered a table due to cancelations. Ambiance is very chill, low lights music playing but you're still able to have conversation. Staff is friendly Food was delish. We got -Steak frites, burger, Mac n cheese and French onion- and was not disappointed !!!“
“Favorite restaurant, delicious food, sublime wine, amazing chefs Robbie & Sam , friendly and welcoming owners, Clement & Simone go above and beyond to make your experience of their gem of a restaurant simply the best! Love this treasure in our neighborhood, make your reservation and try as much as you can on the menu, every mouthful is just wonderful!!“
“I've been loving La Sandwicherie since their original food cart operation by McCarren Park. So glad they opened an official shop! The menu is well curated, all ingredients are quality, sandwiches are made to order and everything I’ve ever had here tastes fresh and delicious.“
“The grilled fish is great and enough for two people. The grilled chicken was well seasoned and also good. I just didn't like that you can't select the specific parts you want in your order. It's chef's choice and I got my least favorite part-- the breast. It wasn't as flavorful as the thigh but at least it wasn't dry. The quiet star may be the grilled plantain, which I've never had before. It was so delicious!“
“The alcoholic pairing blew me away. The food, not so much. I can only recommend Restaurant Yuu if you love wine. For $180 you get to try 12 wine and sake with wildly distinct characters. Most of the bottles were priced above $85, with some being in the $250-300 range. Usually wine pairings are pretty bad value because only one or two stand out. The pairing here felt fully worth the money. Almost everything tasted amazing. Frankly, the drinks far outclassed the food in complexity of flavor and aroma. The food was much more about aesthetics than taste. Half of the food arrived lukewarm, perhaps from too much tweezer work. It was frustrating. Things were either not hot enough or not cold enough. There were glaring execution mistakes. It often felt like they were adding more and more components for quantity’s sake, but it did not translate to deeper flavors. The truly delicious dishes (asparagus, bread, sawara, squab, signature pithivier) were the ones with the simplest presentations that arrived piping hot. Though, looking back, the second half of the meal was really strong. It’s just that I sat through the first half hoping the food will get better at some point (which it did).In short, the drink pairing felt worth the $180, but it’s hard to justify $250 for the tasting menu when half the dishes were executed sloppily.“
“This place is an overall great time and great addition to the neighborhood! The staff were amazing with their service and knowledge about the region and menu, and the co-owner was making drinks at the bar! The cocktails and food are a must try!Drank: TI’ PunchAte: Salade Creole (loved), Camarons Coco-Vanille (loved especially the vanilla bean sauce)“
“I'm a huge fan of Greenpoint and specific to this section of the the hugely popular area with up and coming dining and events. House is located in the back of a dashi store which has all kinds of Japanese bowls, textiles for sale. The experience was nice, the seating felt you were in a very intimate environment, seats facing the chef and kitchen at all times. The service was top notch and what I expected for a 2 course menu north of $400. The food, we had the 2 course menu, a sake flight, a sake flight B, a Kirinzan glass, a Nanbu glass and a Hakkaisan glass. The dishes had an amazing presentation and were tasty but honestly the flavors did not move me. Perhaps it might be a style where the flavors are really flat and balanced which I can understand but I was not overly impressed or blown away by any 1 dish. All in all, great service and great experience which still is within what I feel a 4 star rating.“
“My friend and I had a very excellent, enjoyable, and nicely paced dinner last night. The 5 course prix fixe started with a few pieces of charcuterie,, moved on to a small plate of seafood with an aioli, delicata squash with spinach and a light creamy sauce, pork tenderloin with mushrooms, and a yummy moist cake with poached pears. The portions were not large but we still felt like we got plenty to eat. And that fabulous baguette and Vetmont butter!! Very good wines and pleasant and professional staff who made us feel welcome. I will definitely be back.“
“Fantastic neighborhood spot. The ambiance is the perfect cozy, intimate, and friendly French restaurant. Every dish my husband and I got were delicious. Pretty reasonable prices as well for the quality of food and flavor! We got the steak tartare to start, the cassoulet, and beef bourginon. The steak tartare was a refreshing starter. The cassoulet was a great cozy dish in a cold night. Great flavor that wasn't too heavy. The beef bourginon was also fantastic. The beef was tender and moist and came with a great, rich sauce. Wine options were great and paired well with dinner. Also loved that the water cups were made from old wine bottles. Very friendly owners and servers!“
“Got the cauliflower sandwich, the special hot chicken sandwich and the crispy potatoes. They were all really good and delicious. The chicken was crispy (wish it was a tad spicier), the cauliflower sandwich is amazing and my favorite thing from here (as a meat eater), and the crispy potatoes are always just solidly good. The ambiance though was a little chaotic feeling. I felt really claustrophobic in there, as if everyone around me was just a bit too* close together. The table arrangement felt strange. I get wanting to maximize seating but one table was in such a weird tight corner, one by where everyone walked by to the bathroom, and one had a plant where someone would be seated by the window? Also there were several 4-seater tables that just had a single person at them just reading or on their phones with a coffee while groups were waiting. I get that it's seat yourself/first come but it felt really inconsiderate as parties of 3 would awkwardly cram into/sideways into a 2 seater table while that was happening. I wouldn't come back to dine in for sure. But the food is delicious so back to take out exclusively for me.“
“Our nephew got a reservation here for brunch and what a find! The food, atmosphere, service were all wonderful. I had the croque madame which was delicious and my wife said that the almond croissant she had was better than one that she loved in Paris. Try this place, you'll love it, they obviously care about making customers happy.“
“Cute little cafe in Park slope on 7th Ave. Classic French bistro food, but light and not over the top menu list like those in Manhattan . It's a neighborhood spot that is casual and caters to the local families. It doesn't try to be fancy, just excellent in being reliable. The soups are fantastic and corque Madame and Eggs Benedict are always a classic go to items. Their crepes batter are exceptionally well balanced in savoriness and sweetness. Highly recommend themThe cocktails are simple and to the point. It's not necessarily a destination spot, but if you are in the area during a weekend walkabout or having a lazy afternoon nearby, you should definitely stop by .Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly , even those who have strollers“
“the food was delightful. it was a chilly rainy day when my friend and I needed a nice place to sit and dry off with some warm tea. the tea was delightful, and the charcuterie board was sooooooo yummy. I love a good warm and cozy environment.“
“Incredible food, everything has really interesting and unexpected flavors- favorites were the asparagus (Caesar flavored!), mushrooms with citrus sauce, branzino, and banana caramel cake. Highly recommend the rum cocktail with cultured milk and miso in it, surprisingly loved it but was not sure what to expect!!“
“First time at Paulette ‘ s for dinner this past Saturday. The food, wine, service team were amazing. Had an awesome conversation with the manager . I live in Buffalo and this was recommended by my niece and If you are in the neighborhood I strongly “
“We've been here 10 times already and I keep forgetting to leave a review. It's weird to write something when you come back to the same place all the time. It happened few times that some dishes were not so good, but as a rule - the food is very decent and tasty. My favorites are always paté and tartare.Excellent cocktails and most importantly, pleasant service.Another little secret, if you're here around 9 or 11 p.m., you can get into their speakeasy bar downstairs, where you can see a 5-minute burlesque show.“
“Forgot to take a picture of food but here's an eclectic moment. Just a cool place helmed by the legendary restauranteur knowns as Mr Fish. Not surprisingly, the fish is fresh and properly cooked, which puts this spot above and beyond so many others. Fried, curried, sauced, you'll love it. Appetizers and desserts are wonderful too. BYOB, cash only, don't ask for rice, and you'll be delighted.“
“Good vibes and good food, me, my wife and some friends did dinner at French Louie, I personally am not the biggest fan of French cuisine, but the menu offers options for those who’s tastes aren’t as sophisticated. I had the cast iron roasted chicken and was 100% satisfied. French fries and sautéed Brussels were also top notch.“
“An unexpected discovery even though I’ve walked past this spot for years! The brunch here is excellent - great vibes, delicious food for the cost, and the hospitality is really great. A great lowkey vibe even on the weekends. Their homefries are “
“The menu is perfect, basically it fits all kinds of diets. The server was very attentive and checking on us all the time. We love the atmosphere, very nice mood lighting, candles on every table and music selection matches the mood. Definitely come back for more of this kind dining experience!“
“I had to write about Pistache NY because I have never ever met someone as incredible as Yvan Bedouet. I was planning to have Pistache NYC cater my New Year's Eve party since he came so so highly recommended. I spoke to Yvan multiple times with many changes, where he had to draw up new menus which he did without any objection. It turned out I had to cancel due to medical reasons. He was so gracious, not only refunded all the money although I had insisted he keep a portion since I had to cancel, HE ASKED FOR MY ADDRESS AND DROPPED OFF A BOUCHE NOEL!!!!!I am in awe of Pistache NYC and Yvan Bedouet and can not wait to have them cater my next party.Thank you“
“It’s a cute little place! Went for dinner, the price was very reasonable, and the food was amazing! We had quiche and fish sandwiches and both were so tasty and the portion was big! Service was good too. We will definitely come back, maybe for breakfast or lunch soon!“

“I saw a tik tok about this place and decided to make the journey from Hudson county here. Wonderful staff, Lucy made sure I was well taken care of and charged my phone for me ! The sweetest, as well as the food being phenomenal! I had the eggs Benedict and they were perfect, 5/5 :)“
“I was excited to find a French menu in my neighborhood. It's my favorite cuisine. Warmly greeted by a polite well spoken young lady and given my choice of tables. ( As opposed to following someone to where they wanted me to sit) Looking at the menu it had all my favorite items. The bottle of champagne I ordered was misspelled but when I pointed it out to the waiter he was appreciative. I ordered Bone Marrow Escargots(which impressed me having not seen that before) which were delicious. Followed by Mussels in a Coconut Cilantro broth. While the quality of the actual mussels was sub-par the broth they were served in was the best I have had since I started eating mussels 40 years ago! Lastly I ordered the Breast of Duck(probably one of my favorite things on the planet) Which I was unable to enjoy. My waiter left his shift and the order in which I wanted my dinner was affected. Escargot, Mussels, Duck. The duck came before the mussels so I sent it back and waited for the mussels. After the mussels I was brought what I believe to be the original Duck which was now very tough and dried out, I did not eat it. For me that was a deal breaker. I am very well aware that mistakes are made and I suppose I could have eaten the duck when it came out of order but that isn't the way I wanted it. Not being my mistake, I believe the chef should've taken extra care to deliver a moist tender delicious duck in the order which it was ordered. Unfortunate. It was 5 Stars to me before that lack of attention to the guest.“
“Barbara ganoush was delicious and Smokey. The teeny hummus was excellent and their homemade sourdough bread that went with it was very nice and moist. The salads and burger and fries were also enjoyed at the table. It's a limited menu but nice choices. Somewhat smaller space but it does get quite noisy in there as the conversation bounces all over the hardscapes. There's also a very cozy store attached that has nice rugs, pottery and other handmade goods“
“Just recently opened my studio down the street, and was so very excited to try Cafe Gitane. It is so cute and delightful. It really felt like I had been transported out of New York. I can't wait to bring others here for coffee, breakfast, lunch out on the sidewalk (which they have a very lovely set-up). Food is excellent, and their cappuccino is so so good. I've stopped by a couple times before work, to take one to go!“
“Bustling and busy with the brunch crowd, but with a hastily-made reservation we were able to be seated very quickly. Given the craziness one expects on a packed Sunday, we were pleasantly surprised by how fast we got our food, and the service was wonderful. We appreciated how bright and fresh the Dutch pancake was with all of its fruit (doesn’t even need the syrup) and the hash was hearty and fulfilling. We loved dining and people-watching amidst the gorgeous plants, and will certainly be back.“
“Nice place to dine and ambience. My wife and I was there on Valentine’s Day. They had a pre-fixed menu. The selection was good. Food was good on the ones we choose with the exception of the dessert. For dessert, I had crème brûlée which was excellent but the strawberry cheesecake my wife had didn’t seem like a cheesecake unless this was French style. The cheesecake was a sort of soufflé smothered with strawberry sauce, a touch of whip cream and a big chocolate covered strawberry.“
“Our experience was a mixed bag. The interior and lighting had the French brasserie vibe and the live music is a nice touch. But the main reason to come, the food and drinks, were a little disappointing for an expensive French restaurant. No cocktails or digestives since they don't have a full liquor license. The cheese plate was proper disappointing as was the whole presentation of the plates. Missed opportunity to be great.“
“Came here for a mini celebration with my sister on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated immediately our waitress Vanessa gave us amazing service despite having many more tables to serve and the staff was friendly and helpful. I got the fish and chips which was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, my sister got an omelette and home fries she said it was pretty good! This is such a cute spot! Would definitely recommend for brunch, dates or friendly catch up“
“Amazing staff. Amazing food. People care about your experience here. We came with a toddler and they really made sure that our experience is 5 star one with all demands we had. Highly recommend for great espresso martinis and burger for brunch.“
“Very popular and highly recommended restaurant. Went for dinner, 7.30 on a Friday, there were not too many people. Outstanding service, tasty food, seems like a well-run classy place. Beautiful decor. We'll have to try for more like a party, dancing . Decided against birthday party there, was advised will be very crowded and loud. Will visit again.“
“So surprised by some of the reviews because I had the most amazing sandwich there this past (Saturday of Thanksgiving) weekend. We were in the area and stumbled upon the store while looking for lunch, our first time there. I had the Le French Baguette and I can easily say it was the best sandwich I had in the past year, likely longer. I am still thinking about it, maybe becoming obsessed. Everything tasted so fresh - the bread, the ham, the generous slices of brie, the lettuce and tomato. Everything just melded beautifully and the Dijon gave it the right punch. It was made to order so it did take about 10 minutes but man, was it worth the wait. I ate it about 15 minutes after pickup and there was no sogginess whatsoever. Generous portion, very fair price. We live in Manhattan but I will be making the trip over there again. Looking forward. I hope they can repeat their greatness!“
“The food is very good and $$$ expensive. The service is not so good. We had to request water several times. We were a party of 10 on Sunday early in the afternoon. There were not many other diners there, but the service was, as I said, not so good. Also, the entres were not timed well at all. So the ones that were the quickest to prepare were brought out first. The problem is that some in our party were almost finished by the time the others were just starting. The worst problem was one of our party requested no tomatoes in his selection. However, his meal was loaded with them. To sum up food is good but expensive and service is poor.“
“This is such an amazing place! I highly recommend the steak tartare and just about everything I’ve ever eaten here. The French apple martinis are definitely drinkable. From the friendly atmosphere to the scrumptious creme brûlée—this is a must visit restaurant.“
“Amazing ambiance and staff... I've visited a bunch of times, and everything from Bertrand and Mominette is so delicious!!!! Just writing this, I wish I could taste it right now! Hope to keep getting to enjoy their flavors!Definitely go for the rack of lamb :) And the creme brûlée for dessert is ahhh-mazing!Kid-friendliness: Staff is so sweet with kids and great options for them“
“Extensive Market Knowledge:** Suzan Mchugh extensive market knowledge positions her as a resourceful source for understanding global economic trends. Investors benefit from insights that go beyond the immediate investment landscape, providing a broader perspective.“
“Delicious food, great presentation, and excellent service! We had an early family dinner at Chateau de Capitane in March 2024. It was Sat but the music would start much later so there was no noise and we could talk.Almost all food we ordered was exceptionally delicious, from appetizers to desserts. The service was very attentive and we also got good suggestions helping to avoid ordering too much :)We highly recommend Chateau de Capitane for excellent delicious food and we'll certainly be back!AppetizersTrio Tartare - awesome! It had tuna, salmon, and yellowtail tartare and each had its own distinct taste. Can't really say which one was better as they were all good but different.Sesame Tuna - perfect! Tuna was tender and flavorful, melting in the mouth.Duck Salad - this one could be better as the duck was dry and scarce.Arugula Goat Cheese Salad - delicious! We were debating whether to order this salad as we make it at home, but we didn't regret. It had a perfect combo of ingredients + some sauce or smth making it a harmony.Kutaby with Herbs - fresh, warm, flavorful.Belyash with Meat - this eastern russia deep fried meat patty was about 1.5x of the standard size. It had perfectly fried dough (not burned) and plenty of juicy medium cooked meat inside. I tired belyashi in restaurants in russia and made at home, but this one surpassed them all. Just this single belyash already makes it worth coming back to Chateau de Capitane :)SoupsUha with Salmon - it was good, fresh, and clear. Plenty of salmon. It was tasty but somewhat standard. The taste could be made more colorful with some extra spices and maybe lemon.Dushpora - fresh and tasty, with cute mini-dumplings. We all tried and liked it.Solaynka - this one was unfortunately a miss. Tasteless and over salted.MainsDuck with Dried Fruits - simply amazing! If you like duck - this a must have! The portion was very generous and had la parts of duck - legs, wings, and breast. It was super juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. The dry fruits were of a good variety and matched the duck.Chilean Sea Bass with Creamy Polenta - soft, flakey, delicious! It wasn't not too fatty as a sea bass could be. Polenta was a great match as well as a mushroom sauce served on the side.Grilled Branzino - it was served nicely peeled off the bones and had great flavor and texture, yet was not "fishy".Stuffed Jumbo Shrimps - these were very good according to the people who ate them.“
“*** 3.5 stars *** Bar/restaurant with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline. Note that this space is indoors even though it is marketed as "rooftop" (although that is probably a positive in the summer and winter months!). We came for happy hour but they have a very limited happy hour menu (and were even "out" of the cocktail that I wanted) but I won't complain about that as there are great prices on the happy hour menu. The food/cocktails themselves are just okay, but that's not what you come here for.“
“Wow, last night just seemed to be a perfect evening. Wanted to try a place that was close to my friend's house and ended up finding a gem. We both had worked later than usual, and we both arrived about 8pm. There were a couple of tables available and we took the table on the far end of the restaurant. My friend had a huge and expensive bag and did not want it on the floor nor on the radiator next to us. The 1st person could not find 5 when the owner came over. He grabbed one from the closet without a fuss. He even made a few jokes about it, and I was laughing my head off!! That's how you start a great evening. This place is so cozy and romantic, and the staff is super attentive. It was the right amount of attention we both needed after our long day. Barry was our waiter and had such a good demeanor. He shared the specials of the night, including oysters, for a lower price!!! There was no way I could resist oysters! The other special was Cod and shrimp with a hint of curry on a bed of mashed potatoes. Let me tell you how good this dish was!! Although we shared that main, there was nothing left, and my friend eats very little food. We also indulged in a fried calamari appetizer prior to the Cod dinner. Totally forgot about our drinks!! My friend had the muscadet, crisp and dry, while I had Cardero Maduro brown ale on tap, which was quite nice. The reason why I went 5 in rating was all the above.; good, service and the ambiance! It is certainly a place to revisit. Btw, the bread is so fresh!!!“
“Food was amazing and fresh! Service was great, waiter smelled amazing. We ordered soo much amazing food and got a 25% discount. I highly recommend the muscle fettuccine pasta (forgot the actual name). Their steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty, they even had some horseradish. The oysters were fresh and sweet. The lobster cooked in the risotto was great. They had this potato mushroom tower thing that you shouldn’t miss out on, another highlight of the dishes! They have a great bowl of French onion soup, the cheese is very funky and adds a great flavor to the soup! DONT forget about desert!!! The Apple strudel was to kill for! Highly recommend this place.“
“We stopped in for a quick breakfast before leaving town. The almond croissant was crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. It was properly sweet without being overwhelming. My wife got an apple turnover and realty enjoyed it.I also picked up a latte and a ham and swiss crepe. Both were above average. The seats could be more comfortable but if you'll be in and out, it shouldn't matter much. The service was great and the atmosphere was pleasant“
“We had an amazing time. We did a medium size birthday lunch (9 adults) 2pm-530pm on saturday. Set up some decorations beforehand, picked menu items, all done with help and no issues. From beginning to end service was perfect - asking if we needed anything, when can they bring this, would we like that...Food was fantastic! Salmon kebab, liver cubes, hachapuri (pie), octopus salad, cheese cigars, duck salad, branzino to name a few were delicious! Waiter was personable, friendly and efficient. We were in the terrace room and it was exactly the atmosphere we wanted. Would easy do another party there again!“
“such a cute little brunch spot. classy cocktails and great food. quiche was fantastic and everything on the menu was served impeccably. coffee is bottomless is you get drip. they make some mean cocktails too. anything on the menu is a treat and service is amazing.“
