“Amazing Indian food in a relaxing and chic setting. Great price for a Michelin star restaurant and service is fantastic. My favorites were the dosa and the mung beans. The squash kurma was a bit bland compared to the other dishes. The cocktails were also incredible.“
“Out of this world creative Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is perfect setting for friend, couples, and families. With a diverse bar selection you can find amazing mixed drinks and local brewed beers on tap. From Fermented Dosa to Lamb Chapli Kebab the starters are brilliant. As you make your way to the main courses the Sea Bream Ssam is so tasty, if you’re in the mood go for the seared prawns or maybe even the Mushroom Uttapam. To finish off the night they have a nice selection of desserts like cashew baklava or the ganache cake is amazing with warm chocolate sauce, rose ice cream, and cardamom salt. To top off the experience the staff are warm welcoming and very kind! Come on by, right on 7th Avenue in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn NY!“
“When you walk into the place, you can smell the aroma and you’ll immediately realize why this place is rated so highly. We got the goat dum biriyani, and it might be the best biriyani we’ve ever had, as it was truly authentic (they cut it open in front of you) and was jam-packed with flavor. A lot of biriyanis go light on the rice flavors; this one definitely didn’t - we felt ourselves devouring the biriyani INCREDIBLY fast. Our waiter kept checking in on us, and we had fast, attentive, and genuinely friendly service. We also got the chicken vindaloo, and it was very good and spicy, which we enjoyed. We were there near closing, and we didn’t feel rushed at all, and it was heartwarming to see the chefs and staff all sit and eat together after the kitchen had closed, joking and having fun. 10/10 would recommend - this is a hole in the wall joint worth repeat visits - you can feel a sense of kinship the second you enter!“
“Great new place! Entrée's were pretty good. Really authentic. We had bhendi masala, vegetable jalfreji, and yellow dal. All were really yummy! Rotis were great too. Appetizers could have been a bit better. Service was really top class. Loved the ambiance.“
“When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“
“Proper non-veg South Indian food! It was so yummy and at a great price point for the area! The mutton keema dosa is especially a must have. And to anyone who read the 2 star review from some user named “A.K.” below mine, this restaurant is South Indian and to dock a restaurant stars because it doesn’t conform to your expectations based on North Indian food is like going to a place in New England and being shocked it doesn’t have Southern Style Fried Chicken because both restaurants are “American”.“
“This restaurant was fantastic and we are so happy leaving there. They went out of their way for us, especially Monzu who went especially above and beyond to meet our needs. I had a weird request that they didn’t normally have on the menu and he made it with such pleasure and utmost hospitality. The food was fresh, delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning. Homey, cozy vibes and comfortable atmosphere. Quality food and amazing service- can’t ask for more. GO HERE!“
“I was on a work trip and have very special eating needs and Hemant and staff really came through for me on very short notice!!! I will forever remember and HIGHLY recommend to anyone!!! Thank you Hemant and Staff for going above and beyond for me!! Darcy T.“
“This restaurant is amazing. The menu is all vegetarian, prix fixe, and also all you can eat. They also take into account other dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the dessert. Our waitress (Divisha) was incredible and explained every dish to us and was beyond attentive. This is a must visit if you're in the city and come hungry!“
“Had not expected something like this during my US travel.Paani Puri assortment was many notch better than what we get in Mumbai.Vibes is all Deshi and representation of PAN India taste.Chandrakala Gujia popular sweet dish from Patna ,Bihar was another pleasant surprise.Vegetarian options: It's not just vegetarian but great taste and perfect blend of spices served with warmth. Loved the place and loved the food.“
“Man what an experience. I never felt pain all over my face until I had the Rouge Big Rowdy Sandwich. If you can handle spice get medium because Rouge genuinely made it impossible to enjoy the Sandwich. After a long break I tried my friend’s sandwich, and it was delicious. Mango lassi was sweet and cold and perfect for when my face was burning.8.5/10“
“Came here with a large group of friends and had an incredible time! Everything I ate and drank was absolutely delicious and tasted so authentic. I would definitely recommend the Golgappa as an appetizer and the Lotan ke Chole as an entree! Add the Pipli cocktail and it’s a perfect night :)“
“My favorite takeout Indian in the area! I usually go Chicken 65 for an appetizer which has (in my opinion) the perfect spicy level between flavor and spicy. For meals, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Tikka Masala (or Vindaloo) + Garlic “
“Great food and drinks!! The first bite of our appetizer took me back to India. One of the best Indian places I have tried in NYC. Below are the drinks, appetizers and entrees that we tried and can’t recommend them enough.Drinks: Drop the Beet, Silk Road, Old Fashioned, The Golden ChariotAppetizers: Nilgiri chicken and kalonji paneerEntree: Rajwadi Paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and onion- chilli naanMy husband and I can’t wait to be back and try more items from their menu. Hoping we can try their brunch as well!“
“From outside it looks like Small boutique Restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine & I just found it while roaming around streets of New York during recent visit & this accidental discovery didn't let me down, food quality & quantity both are amazing, owner is present almost from 11 am to 11 pm & staff is courteous, highly recommended as I visited all the sought after restaurants in town but this one stands out for the gourmet Indian food.“
“We've ordered delivery from here many times in the past. This was our first time eating here. Food is even better fresh. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We were lucky to walk in and get a table for 2 at 6pm Friday as the place was full.“
“Hands down one of the best authentic Indian food we had in NYC. Everything was so fresh. The owner was very welcoming and truly showcased “atithi devo bhava”. It felt like home. They customized the paneer tikka for my kid and she loved it. Would absolutely visit this place again.. and again.. kudos!!“
“They recently renewed their place , the atmosphere is really good and have started a bar also now, the food here is very spicy i found it absurdly spicy so be sure of what you order for, the service was also good, maybe i tried a wrong dish but it was really spicyAnd also is a little bit eon the expensive side for the Indian street.“
“Baingan bartha & Dal tadka are 10/10. The baingan bartha is easily their top dish, super rich, with the right amount of sour + sweet + spice. The dal tadka is so wholesome, a little high on garlic. I would recommend the “desi spice” level as the flavors can be a bit mellow otherwise. The paneer was okay - not the softest and the flavors are pretty typical. 20% tip is mandatory and included.“
“Tamarind Tribeca provided an exceptional dining experience. We started with the flavorful Lasuni Gobhi and Tandoori Mixed Grill, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The Lasuni Gobhi and Dal Makhani (from the Mixed grill) was a standout, bursting with garlic and spice. For drinks, the Mango Cosmo was a refreshing choice, perfectly balanced and complementing the meal.Moving on to the main course, the Paneer Pasanda and Murgh Kohlapuri were good but not outstanding (maybe we expected more from a Michelin star). The paneer was rich and creamy, while the Murgh Kohlapuri was spicy and flavorful, showcasing Indian flavours. The Cucumber Raita, Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan were exceptional - soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Our server, Siddharth, provided excellent service, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was upscale yet comfortable, ideal for a special meal or celebration.Overall, Tamarind Tribeca met our expectations with its delicious food, great cocktails, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an upscale Indian dining experience in Tribeca.“
“We’re surrounded by all sorts of cuisine - except Indian, arguably my favorite. So I was happy to see Gulab come into this space. And it is AWESOME!Easy parking, very comfy and easy atmosphere to dine in .. the staff is SO nice, we love them .. and the food is just great. I’m very picky about ingredients and they accommodate me all the way every time. The menu is easy and plentiful and every single dish I’ve had so far is perfect.Plenty for gluten free, which is hard to find.Oh and - the Gulab special may be the best deal around. We LOVE Gulab!!!“
“Food is deeply flavored amazing classic Indian food, coconut naan is extra delicious, lovely calm music, soft lighting nice art and comfy chairs, corkage fee for wine is only €5 bring for yourself a nice dry riesling this place is amazing!“
“Diminutive space with down-at-heel appearance —but the urban decay is part of the charm. The samosa and aloo tikki were good. Both are potato heavy but herb seasoning is present and noted and flavorful. They’re large, hot and filling. Great option for cheap filling hot snack if you have cash. $3/ each. Cash only. The English spoken here is barebones strictly transactional English.Vegetarian options: Pretty sure everything here is vegetarian.“
“Came for momos, left extremely satisfied! Their steamed chicken momos taste authentically Nepali, and the aachar (sauce) is the right amount of savory and spicy. Excellent service and great atmosphere and music. I'll be back to try the chili and jhol momos!“
“It's not easy to find Goan food, so this was more than a pleasant surprise. Beautifully balanced flavors and seasonings. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp appetizer as well as the jackfruit biryani. Might be too spicy for some, especially children. Attentive staff, and nice atmosphere.“
“This is the best restaurant in Midwood in my opinion. The food is fantastic. Some unusual dishes that I have never had before as well as some old favorites that are made much better than anywhere else. Even the mango lassi is better than anywhere else. Don't miss the chaats and the butter chicken! The service is warm and incredible. And the owner is such a delight to talk to. I love this place! I'm so excited to hear that they are delivering during coronavirus epidemic.“
“The food and service here were pretty spectacular! The Achari mushrooms and Cauliflower Manchurian were my favorite appetizers! (I'm a meat lover so I'm amazed at how they made Cauliflower taste like Sesame Chicken!!) For entrees, I would highly recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh, so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor! Also, the Tandoori Salmon is a must have because it was seasoned, smoked and cooked to perfection!! Beba was our server and she was so patient and kind with a group who couldn't make up their minds! And lastly, please check out the bartender (I think his name was Sean, but I could be way off :/...I blame the a-a-alcohol..) He makes a mean cocktail and he is not at all stingy with the good stuff ?.“
“Amazingly DELICIOUS very great menu alot to choose from I wanted it all so I started with the salmon tikka I’ll be back to try everything else !!!Tanmay our server was very helpful and hooked us up with mango desert, he’s super cool and welcoming !!!!“
“Such an excellent place with wonderful food. The first time we went, a while ago, we just walked in and had dinner...now it appears you cannot do that as the place is small and packed. So do get yourself a reservation. Or if you haven't had the foresight to do that, you can take the same food home as I just did. I loved the dals, particularly the tadka and every biryani I have tried. The service is smooth and friendly, and my take out order came quickly and was so well-wrapped that it was still quite warm after a slow bus ride in chilly weather. I plan to go back as often as I can....(or take out) -------------------- Second and third time, I tried new things, just as great. I really like this place and will keep coming back. The staff is really welcoming.“
“Ordered the Charred Chicken Bowl, and I must say, it was phenomenal. It had a flavour that was unbeknownst to me in a bowl. The coconut ranch mixed with the habanero sauce, really do create a unique flavour profile. Also, the chicken marination was something that was brand new to me. Do give it a try!“
“Loved my time here! Amazing and authentic food. We ordered the off-menu Goan mega Thali’s that you have to call two days in advance for. We got the king fish thali, boneless salmon thali, vegetable thali, lobster tikka masala and the best chai in nyc. Beautiful decor as well!“
“Curry and Handi has delicious, truly fresh, and flavorful food. I think it is the best Indian food I have had since visiting India 2 years ago. As a vegetarian I appreciate the offerings and highly recommend the broccoli tandori. The service is excellent as well.“
“I came toward the end of their service hours, about 9:20 and was greeted warmly. Service was impeccable and the food was so delicious. I usually get Indian food in Astoria along 30th Ave. None compare to Cardamom. They are not huge and doesn’t seat many, but it is clean, well decorated and the staff is friendly and attentive.I had the lamb methi curry, vegetable samosa, naan and mango lassi. All were perfectly delicious and beautifully presented. If I were to have one complaint it would be that the methi curry could’ve been spicier since I ordered at the highest spice level and found it to be just mild. Still delicious though.I will come here instead of my usual haunts.“
“Came here for a late dinner double date as we were craving Indian food, and it really hit the spot! They have a wide array of vegetarian and vegan Indian classics. The menu is presented on an iPad which was interesting. I tried the kadai paneer masala (which tasted like a chicken tikka masala with paneer instead of chicken). The flavors were incredible. I also tried some of my partner's Hakka noodles with vegetables (Manchurian), which was filling and had delish. The interior is clean and decor was aesthetically pleasing. Service was kind and they let us stay past the official closing time.“
“I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I loved trying the kebabs and sharab/drinks (virgin for me!). I loved the colonial-era decor with peacocks and carved wood. The appetizer portion sizes could be improved and the bathrooms could’ve been better too but nothing too bad. The food was really good! Here’s what we had:▪️Dahi ke Kebab (yogurt) 9/10▪️Sardarji Machi (Old Delhi fish) 9/10▪️Doori Kebab with Sheermal (goat) 10/10▪️Paneer Shashlik (cheese skewers) 6/10▪️Old Delhi Korma (mutton) 8/10▪️Bangin’ Baingan (eggplant) 7/10▪️Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) 5/10?Chai raisin cake with rasmalai milk and chai ice cream 6/10?Mango Chutney (mango, pomegranate) 8/10ps> they’re halal and even brought out dates for the whole restaurant for iftaar!? Follow @nabilalikes on insta for more NYC eatsParking: I got lucky and found street parking a block away but there are many lots too“
“This was my first time trying Indian Food Ever, so I was a little nervous and scared! I arrived, and I was greeted by the lovely manager Tina, she geared us to the bar while our table was ready, and recommended some great drinks, it was less than a 5 minute wait! When I say the eggplant and garlic appetizer was out of this world! The flavors were so unique, and just outright delicious. We then ordered the tiger prawns, which was a surprisingly large serving, topped off by the mint and cilantro cream, I was licking my fingers, after, the pot of lamb with basmati rice, felt like we were eating in someones home eatings moms cooking, topped off by delicious milk dessert, I couldn't have picked a better place to dine. The service was great, all my food arrived right after the other, the servers were so helpful describing every dish, and breaking it down for me. The manager Tina checked on our table, always made sure we were having excellent time.Just the ambiance of the entire restaurant, everyone enjoying the food/music, makes you remember why NYC is so great!“
“Excellent food! Bring your own water/water bottle, or else they will give you plastic water bottles and then charge you $2.50 each without telling you, which is annoying, expensive and wasteful of plastic. Food is delicious and well-priced though and it's probably the best Indian food I've had in this neighborhood.“
“The restaurant was slightly off the tourist truck, but it was busy with people. The service is friendly but very slow compared to New York's ways of service. The place is simple inside, with nothing to brag about, but the food explodes with flavors. I ordered Vindaloo, which is a lamb dish, and it is so spicy and garlic naan break. The dish was delicious, and eat every bit of it. The sauce was so good i used naan to finish it off. I want to return and order more, but this time, i will ask for the authentic level of spice.“
“This place is an amazing find so close to Times Square! If you are in the are don't miss the opportunity to have dinner, or lunch here. The ambiance is great for a date night, the food is so flavorful and delicious, and the staff are so friendly and attentive.“
“5 stars is not enoughLove the breakfast specialThe Haleem is made with beef not lamb. Everything so flavorful.Seekh kebab very well spicedGreat samosas. Daal puri good when fresh.Don't care for the rolls, biryani, or lollipopVegetarian options: Daal puri fresh hot delicious“
“The owners are amazing The inside is amazing you have to come there with your family very delicious beautiful food and I don't go out to a lot of restaurants but this is one of the best I've been to hospitality is awesome trust me.“
“Wow, this was one of the best meals I've ever had. Every dish was perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The flavors were subtle and delicate and each bite was exquisite, you could tell the chefs cared deeply about their food. I am blown away.“
“We always get seated immediately and the server, Christopher, has always shown us kindness. Christopher's warmth and hospitality always make dining here a memorable experience. Christopher's genuine care and attention to detail elevate the dining experience, as he always remembers our orders. Every visit to this restaurant feels like coming home.“
“Whoa. Did not expect the quality of this place. Everything was super neat and organized. Staff friendly and accommodating, small place but good food and service. Recommended chicken 65, easily one of the best in NYC. Their curries are also good. Give it a try. Expensive as it is in such a busy area, but worth it!“
“From start to finish, the evening was delightful & the Manager & Wait-Staff were magnificent. Making every effort to ensure our table was attended to, & didn't spare any effort to answer questions, suggest delicious meals, & ensure that we left wanting more. Definitely give this place a try!“
“Best Birayani & more is your go-to spot for mouthwatering biryani. Their aromatic biryani, whether chicken or lamb, is a must-try. But it's not just about biryani—the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala are equally delicious. With generous portions and friendly service, Best Birayani & more is your ticket to a flavor-packed Indian feast.“
“Had been looking for an Indian restaurant with actually really good and authentic Indian food (really hard to come by in New York) and the food here did not disappoint. I had the three course menu and the portion sizes were just the right size. Not pictured here was the complimentary amuse bouche they brought at the start which was honestly the highlight of the meal, I could have had 5 more. I didn't quite hear what it was but my friend and I LOVED it. Some kind of bread thing and chai flavored soup? Anyway it was delicious. The shrimp and crab were cooked perfectly and very flavorsome. I wasn't too sold on the desserts or the ambience but overall a great dining experience.“

“This was a delivery order. They nailed it. The dish I ordered said spicy and I asked for it not to be spicy. Perfectly prepared ?. The food was nice and hot and the delivery man was so sweet. I will definitely eat here again. Thank you for making my night. Money well spent.“
“Excellent service on the phone and in person. I ordered the fish biriyani and the fish was super tender as well as the rice. The seasonings were perfect and not overly spiced, the plate was affordable and filling, and it came out fast. The restaurant is like a banquet style setup so good for casual dinners or celebrations, it is a little bit of a smaller space though.Highly recommend this spot!“
