“Fantastic takeout place, affordable and delicious maki rolls. There are many specials where you can also get drinks if you buy a certain amount.
Some favoruites are the spicy salmon, tuna, and lobster maki rolls.
Will definitely come back to try more rolls, these are quite filling too and can definitely be a meal.“

“I had an amazing experience dining at Wagyu Sukiyaki. The quality of the wagyu beef was outstanding—melt-in-your-mouth tender and incredibly flavorful. The broth was rich and perfectly balanced, enhancing the natural taste of the meat and vegetables. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious sukiyaki experience.“

“Fish was fresh and got to eat take right in front of the chef. Food was prepared quickly but a little bit rough around the edges, however the most important part was the fresh fish.Went for lunch and ordered the Big Otoro roll and the daily special. Dined in and no one else was there on a Monday lunch which is expected. Place was clean and stocked with lots of take out ingredients.Don't think I need to come back here, yes it's fresh but being a downtown body, Kitaya ( l beside C&C near the science center) is a better option and taste equally as fresh. Plus they have great hojicha ice cream there.“

“An amazing mom and pop shop, with a cozy, homey vibe and delicious food. Stopped by here for lunch and ordered a bento box and sushi pizza. Both the bento box and sushi pizza was delicious! The owners were also very lovely and sweet people. I will definitely be returning!“

Quartet that sings in harmony, all bringing a slightly different tone while sharing a common aburi theme. The shrimp, salmon, tuna, and unagi are all torched to bring out their inherent savory aromas, along with a subtle smokiness and a rich mayo topping. The marinated sushi rice ties each bite altogether with a slight chewy mouthfeel, pleasant sweetness and a refreshing tang“

“The food was very good. I forgot to take a photo on it coz it smells so good. The amount and the quality of the food for its price is superb. Staff were nice. This is my first time trying their food, and right now their teriyaki beef is my fave. Will definitely come back to try other menu.“

“I have been coming to this place for almost 5 years now. Love their miso ramen. It’s really tasty! Their takeout packing is very sturdy and good as well.
I noticed within last year that the quality of the noodles have degraded, I feel that they refrigerate their noodles and they are not made on the they of, doesn’t look and taste fresh. You can actually see the noodles being bunched up and frozen.
Overall I like the taste of their ramen soup.“

“This small place is very good. For a small shop in Markham they make a pretty good kale noodle poke bowl. The flavors are great. However, the portions are slightly smaller than I would like but it's a good size none the less. I also wish the seared tune bowls had more tuna in them.“

As my first time here so i didnt know what to try so the servers recommended me an amazing meal and drink. I’m so happy, and definitely come back again. Highly recommended!“
“I would highly recommend this place for getting your freshest sashimi grade products! Alot of Japanese chefs that I know get their ingredients from Tsukiji Foods. It is also very convenient now that they offer delivery service to residential places! It's definitely worth a try if you're a Japanese cuisine lover!“

“Got a scallop hand roll to go, for a little snack, and it was really good. The scallop was soft and fresh, with two pieces on top and I feel like there was more on the inside, bc it felt like I could feel more scallop texture within the rice. The hand roll was warm as well, which some people might not like but I liked it, and sushi rice isn't supposed to be cold anyway. Only $5 if you pay cash.“

“Apart from the wait time for a table (1.5 hours and no reservations taken), the service, variety in the menu and taste were great. Our server Jalen was attentive and was quick to follow up on any requests. Definitely worth the price with cuts like prime Kalbi, marinated lamb, hanger steak and our favourite, the garlic marinated brisket.“

“We started going to this restaurant since covid-19. Honestly there were a lot of choices in Markham, and Ikon was not the only sushi restaurant we ordered our food. But things have changed because we can hardly find better restaurant in Markham. There are restaurants that focus on lots of menu choices, some name their food with unheard titles, and some raise their prices to make you feel theirs are imaginative "premium". But Ikon comes in simple packages. They give you the max quality of food in simple menu and shockingly reasonable price. The chefs and the owner (tall woman) always dress in clean and simple outfits, and then greet you with a warming tone as if you were a good friend. As a bonus, take-out orders come with a Japanese soft clothes to carry your food. The whole package is simple and beautiful. Thr portion is bigger than many places. Sadly not many restaurants are like this. Disclaimer: I don't own any restaurant. I do not know any of the staff members and the owners. Japanese food is our family's preferred cuisine.“

“Solid poke bowls for a quick meal!
The Poke Box bowl:
- Salmon was pretty tender and fatty, tuna was decent as well
- Appreciate that you can do one topping substitute for no charge (swapped red onions for corn)
- Plethora of yummy toppings included, especially enjoyed the tamago which I think is pretty rare to find at poke places
- Can also choose your own finishing touches (sesame, furikake, togarashi, etc)
- The sushi rice base was a little too firm/bland, would have like it to be softer and seasoned more
At $17.3 for a regular, you get a pretty sizable portion (I was stuffed at the end). Also they make the bowl right in front of you, so you can get it in less than 5 minutes.“

“This place was very chill and the food was really good! Skewers were easy to share and tasty. My favourites may be the tamago and the salt chicken! The takoyaki was amazing.
The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful, not what I expected. It didn't feel like a bar and it was very family friendly! Bathrooms were clean and I love the aesthetic!
Only issue would be that their prices are a little high but it's definitely worth going!“

“Delicious food. I really like their takoyaki and chicken nanban. Their dishes and drinks are really unique. They also have a happy hour for $5 beer from 5:30-8pm sun-thurs. Staff is friendly and I would recommended making a reservation as well as they do get busy especially during weekends.“

“It's a family run business (I think) who are really sweet and very kind - I believe they are Japanese.
The taste is great my favorite of all times is the Sakura Roll, the cream cheese taste in the sushi with everything else on it (crap meat, lots of salmon, avocado, asparagus, cucumber) is just heaven. It's also deep fried. Many other special rolls options are available. I love the tampura shrimp and the yam - so good!
I highly recommend this restaurant.
The service is always great. I've been there three times but I regularly order through Uber Eats and Dashdoor. They gave me complimentary tea, water and Miso Soup 🍲.
Parking is always available every time I visit. Location is perfect.“

“Mi NE sushi and shashimis are always fresh. We tried their eel dinner set and it was good. Large portion. My daughter insist on having dessert (Dango and green tea cheese cake) and the dessert was good too. They also provide oranges as affermeal fruit for free. Their price is on the pricier end, but if you want quality sushi...this is a place for you.“

“Lovely spot to spend an afternoon! Took my siblings for a little shopping and treated them to Hokkaido Don’s (pictured below). The fish tasted fresh and delicious with the rice being the perfect companion. Staff were very polite and friendly too. Only qualm is the onigiris are a little light on the filling, but it’s not that big of a deal. Highly recommend this spot!“

“I personally had a great experience here at AiSushi!! I got the spicy tuna poke bowl and the 6pc philadelphia rolls, and both were so fresh, filling and delicious. I dined in and the service was great. The place is small (since its mainly for takeout) but cute and clean. I will definitely return, tysm!!!:)“

“I forgot what top tier sushi tasted like. Their menu is very limited, but everything is masterfully made. The rice is nicely cooked, the pieces are not too big and the rice isn’t too packed. Every slice of fish is exactly the same size. Those details are often missing from other take out sushi places in the city.“

“Project sushi is a great spot for a quick lunch or linner. Service is fast and food is prepared quickly. The salmon set consists of thicc fish pieces that are dense and chewy. Delicious! Generous portion sizes at this place for a decent price. Restaurant is on the smaller size, interior is modern and clean. I love coming here, always a pleasant experience.“

“Our fave sushi place when we north of Toronto. Takeout only so we’re always feasting in the car or their little cafe table.
We always get SPM1. It’s the way to go. The A1 is good as well, but can’t beat the SPM1. Thank you Baben for your delicious sushi“

“My friend and I had a nice lunch at Markham Sushi. I tried the Fire roll which was ok. I had not tried this deep fried roll before and not sure I would have it again. The sashimi was very good as was the salmon sushi. I am usually very pleased with the service and the quality of the food. One of our favourite local sushi restaurants.“
“BiBab Express only had sushi available in take out containers when I arrived. I selected the spicy Salmon and salmon nigiri tray. The food stall itself is nothing special looking it kind of reminded me of a 90s food court type vibe, but the building it's in is also from the 80s - early 90s so no big deal. The spicy Salmon rolls were actually really good and I quite enjoyed them. They were not very spicy but they had good flavors. The nigiri was nothing stand out but for a cheaper take away place they weren't bad.“

“From what I was told, this location was newly bought and it's a brand new restaurant. Despite the other reviews, this place is great! The sushi is well priced and from what I can tell, it's fresh. I also tried some ton katsu don. I like the nice taste and crunchy crust with egg. Overall, the restaurant has a well priced menu especially for what you're getting.“
