Personally I liked the food I ordered. But I won’t say it’s the best fish restaurant I’ve tried. Mind you, I’ve tried quite a number, so I’m picky 😋 my friend didn’t like as much.

When I came in, there was a couple there. When I left, a few groups came in the restaurant. Mr. Fish is moderate in size so it won’t allow several big groups. I liked the decorations and cute setup. Customer service is great. Staff is polite and when I packed, server gave this adorable bag. Takeout package is great too.

In the dishes ordered, I liked their beef dish and cheese (or yam) balls. The fish wasn’t the best but it was alright.

If you pay cash, you will get 10% discount 😉parking can be tricky.”

“I haven’t really properly eat here, I just mostly got stuff for take out, I ordered the popcorn chicken and lamb skewers, both of them are amazing, the popcorn chicken is probably or if not the best popcorn chicken I’ve had, and the lamb skewers are by far the best I’ve ever had for sure.”

“In a restaurant world dressed up with disingenuous marketing JOEY Yorkdale offers you a magnificent spot outside downtown Toronto that delivers what it promises on their home page, “Our guests, new or old, are not treated just as guests, but as if they are a good friend we are catching up with.” And this was the experience for me and my two close chums who selected this spot primarily because it was the midpoint between our diverse locations. From first arriving, the hostess took the time to offer a complimentary champagne glass and inquire if our visit that day was for a special occasion. It was a reunion and she graciously followed up with pleasant comments establishing a charming mood. When the waitress came to greet us, she also took the time to find out more about the nature of our reunion and only then flawlessly delved into the menu. I understand this is common practice at luxury restaurants; however, I would contend that, although there are dining establishments that treat patrons similarly, it is not simply about what you do but, rather, how well you do it. And this is the reason I am taking the time to write this review: JOEY does it very well. Having frequented several luxury restaurants in downtown Toronto I can anecdotally share with you that there have been far too many occasions when the host and/or server left a poor impression. Whether it is conceited complacency in their brand or even our own bigotry of unrealistic expectations, there seldom is a meeting point of both food, service, and overall impression. The treatment at JOEY was so genuine that it left an indelible impression. Each interaction with the server and hostess throughout complemented our dining experience. We were then surprised with dessert on the house presented on an expansive serving plate with the words “Happy Reunion!” written in caramel. Delicious, delicious caramel. Mmmm, but I digress… Over the years I have written to restaurants far more complaints than compliments and, in retrospect, this is unfair. It takes a team and a culture to create this magic and it can be quite challenging to get it right. When it comes together as well as it did on our visit, it is the sort of joy that can accompany you throughout your day. At JOEY they seem to have captured the right formula and I look forward to returning and catching up with “good friends” that understand that going out to eat today is about so much more.”

“We had a lovely weekend meal at Hong Kong Banjeom with our kids. The jjajangmyeon and jjampong were delicious, and the tangsuyuk was a big hit with the kids! A great place to enjoy authentic Korean-Chinese food as a family. 짬뽕은 완뽕까지 했어요♡”

“It was our first time visiting this place, and my friend and I picked it completely by chance. We looked at the reviews, saw a 4.5 rating, and thought, okay, that sounds great. Even though it was late at night around 9:30 PM, the server was extremely kind and welcoming, and even let us sit on the patio.

Our food came very quickly, and the most impressive part of this restaurant was how genuinely nice and friendly the staff were. A lovely young lady named Kiin was incredibly sweet, polite, and patient. She kept checking on us with such kindness. Another young server, a guy, was just as amazing, and they both made our experience a hundred times better.

It was a rainy evening, but thanks to them we had such a wonderful time. Our sushi came fast, was very fresh, and tasted excellent. Everything was just perfect. I even asked for the young lady’s name so I could mention her here, because she truly made our night special.

Without a doubt, I’ll be going back many, many times, and I highly recommend this place if you want a great experience, if you’re craving sushi, or if you just need something to brighten up your mood. Everything was so good that if I could give 6 stars instead of 5, I absolutely would”

“I had a great experience at Pizza Pizza on Wilson Avenue! The staff was friendly, fast, and made sure my order was perfect. The pizza was hot, fresh, and had just the right amount of cheese and toppings. I really appreciated how clean the store was and how quickly they handled everything, even during a busy time. “The restaurant, service and food at this restaurant was good. However the only downside is that the customers are literally asked to pay a tip. During this difficult period of the pandemic, it is hard to leave a tip. It should be optional but if you do not tip, you are sort of asked "why no tip". This becomes odd and the customer should be given the discretion to tip. This is the reason, I am giving 4 stars to this restaurant.”

“Was there for a Sunday brunch with friends. Food is awesome and coffee is good. The workers were very nice but I felt that they were short staffed because it took very long for them to greet us and bring us water. It was over 10min before a waitress was able to take our order. The food was also slow to show up and they may have missed a couple things from the order as it didnt come out until we asked for it after waiting a while. Everybody seemed swamped and perhaps there needs to be a designated server among them.

“The food is great (we love the 5 piece chicken nuggets combo with fries, onion rings, mama and papa burger burgers). ? ? This location is generally well maintained and clean. There are male, female, and family washrooms ? It's odd that there are no locks on the washrooms recently (not sure what's going with that) so we couldn't use it. The customer service is generally good, no long lines or wait. Calling in and picking up or having it delivered is usually not a long wait either. There is parking in front of the restaurant, on the back and side. When our kid was smaller, we bought the kid's meal and let him play in the park at the back when the weather was fine.”

I ordered two massive rolls. Each piece was huge. I either, stuffed the whole thing in my mouth and chewed while looking like a hamster or took 1 bite first and everything else just fell all over the place lol. Not a complaint though!
Both my rolls were yum. I was very happy with my food. Their miso soup is good too. Hubby ordered one roll and ate some of mine. I left feeling satisfied!
The only small complaint are the greasy floors to the washroom. I had to walk carefully so I wouldnt slip. Also, the front door could use some cleaning.”

After reading some of the other comments in the question section, we called to confirm the extent to which they are wheelchair accessible. Utterly disappointed to find out that although they have a ramp, the only accessible dining areas are if you're with one of the large groups. Meaning that as an individual with accessibility needs, I was excluded from dining at this restaurant. My accessibility needs are temporary, however you can guarantee I won't be dining at this restaurant even when I'm able to walk again, until they rectify this situation. Inexcusable to exclude people with mobility needs in this day and age.”

Having just come back from a trip to Japan, I thought I might want to wait a little longer before eating sushi, and going to an omakase at that. Little did I know that this experience would prove me wrong so quickly. Chef Lam was so meticulous when preparing each piece and we were having a great time chatting, drinking and watching him put so much care and attention into the presentation. The fish was so fresh and buttery, personally, I loved the white fish nigiri and torched salmon the most. The sake sangria may be a little strong for some but very good nonetheless.

Street parking is limited so another option is to use the building parking around the corner - make sure to use the visitor parking.”

“I tried the sandwiches here with my friends, and honestly, I enjoyed every single bite because it tasted exactly like the sandwiches back in Iran. The moment my friends took their first bite, I just watched them — and I could see the smile on their faces. It was that familiar, delicious taste we had all been craving.

You won’t believe it, but these sandwiches are so big that sometimes they can even fill up two people! But despite knowing we might end up with a stomachache later, we all ate with so much love and joy — like we were tasting a piece of our sweet past.

“I got take out last night, rushing to eat before work (salad and chicken shawarma sandwich). It tasted odd... shortly after,, I called the location to tell them, something was off with the ingredients. I wasn't sure of it was the onions, turnips etc. something was left out too long perhaps... and today I am sick as a dog. I've eaten here before. I think they need better quality control on the food... especially being safely stored.. perhaps temperatures..etc”

“I came here once of dinner and once for dim sum. I find that dinner service was very good. The lady serving us that evening was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious; we ordered 8 dishes for the 5 of us to share, and we did not even make a dent hahaha... they portions are very big, and we took the rest of the food home. Highly recommend coming here for dinner :)

Dim sum was just madness - it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, with lots of people standing at the front door. I actually don't like loud and crowded space; we couldn't even speak at the table with just the 4 of us. My voice was completely gone after that. I do not recommend coming here for dim sum, not because the food wasn't good, it was just WAY too loud.
