So worth it.I hadn't been there in literal years (like over a decade lol) and wasn't sure if if would still be good, but my daughter wanted seafood and since it's just as expensive to buy it to make it at home, we went out.We got a crab boil plate and it was more than enough to share and was so delicious. The cajun seasoning was on point, the potatoes were cooked properly and buttery soft. The crab was delicious, and the shrimp were huge ! Also there was oysters and smoked sausage. Completely worth the money and dining out as the service was great too.My husband got a fried shrimp lunch special and it was fried to perfection, though he said we could have all shared the crab boil because it was so much food. (NGL, more crab for me so I'm glad he got his food?)If you haven't been to Gilligan's on St. James, I'd recommend it. The prices I think were super reasonable. “I got in the Charleston the other day and try this place it is real good I kind of wanted to go to a place that wasn't real touristy. I had the shrimp and crawfish etouffee it was real good the cornbread was exceptionally good. The waitress was very helpful and very friendly great place will go again“

“Crab Du Jour was great. They have a great selection of finger foods if you're willing to get down and dirty. As well as an assortment of on plate choices if you're not feeling the mess. Marquelle was awesome and cordial; our drinks never went empty. We were approached by multiple people as well who tended to us as needed. Pricing varies for what you want to eat. It is on the higher side of the seafood market. I, however, consider it worth since not many Cajun places do it this good.“
“Got blue crab here fresh. We live in columbia SC, and I've been looking for a place to buy live blue crab close to our place, but I failed. Luckily, my husband had a company party at Charleston. Upon checking places nearby, I found this place Marvin's seafood, I'm glad I chose this place among other places, their blue crabs are fresh and comes with different sizes to choose from, they also have different fishes, price are very reasonable. Will definitely come back for blue crab.“
“This hidden place is pure awesome. Everytime I visit Charleston I have to get at least one meal from here. They say "garlic," they mean it! The crab legs are so well done. The fish is fried to perfection. Piled high with their butter it's messy and you'll be happy for it. Prepare to wait a little while, but it's worth the wait as everything is made fresh.“

“The convenience store you have to walk through to get to the restaurant ordering window is one of the nastiest I've ever seen in my life, BUT Rai Shaun's food was fantastic. I had lima beans and rice with a big piece of hambone in it and shrimp and grits. My wife had the okra soup, fried fish and the best crab cake we've ever eaten (I had to steal a taste) at any price. Rai Shaun is a great cook and super friendly guy. Good luck and I hope you can open a sit down restaurant soon and get out of that convenience store.“
