“This was our first time to visit this restaurant. Food is great! Refried beans and rice were kind of bland, but at least they didn't burn the tongue out of my wife's mouth. We have eaten at over three dozen Mexican restaurants in the San Antonio area and this one scores right up there with the best of them. One exceptional note for this restaurant: They have the best flour tortillas of any of the nearly 100 Mexican restaurants I've eaten in around the world. This restaurant is going to be one of our mainstays when we don't feel like cooking at home. One minor note of disappointment: We were not given chips and salsa when we were seated. Not a failure as many restaurants do not seem to know what chips are really great.“

“I’m a local and love coming here. It’s a funky little cross between a food truck and a restaurant. Order outside, exact inside the old house, or on the patio.The burgers and all the food is amazing! I’ve never had anything that wasn’t fresh and full of flavor. Staff is committed and always make you feel welcome and appreciated.Stop by and grab the best burger in the coastal bend. You won’t regret it.“

“We’re from out of town I always ask a local where to eat, let me tell you, this place is legit, college dive bar meets good food low prices and excellent bar staff, an absolute gem, little rough around the edges but the kitchen looked clean, (you can see it when you check out) bartender was spot on but tired of people’s shenanigans( look you stood in line for 10min you should’ve known what you want when you get up to order) but my man busts three drinks out at lightning speed, I head back to the table with the strongest tastiest Painkiller I’ve had since Miami, 7 minutes later a great little server pops out with our food looking fresh homemade and scrumdiddlyumptious, which it was we sat and talked for a few hours, we’ll be back for sure“

“Holy cow best breakfast burrito I've eaten on the island, definitely get chorizo as your meat choice. Cooked perfectly with crunchy hashbrowns and toasted with cojita cheese on the outside to give it that perfect texture. Husband got the super bowl and said it was fabulous too...definitely try Coaches hot sauce, you'll love it!!“

“Excellent! We had fried mushrooms and onion rings as an appetizer and they were both fantastic! Mushrooms perfectly cooked and right size. Onion rings were thinly cut and nicely seasoned. I had the fried shrimp and fish plate and it was enough for two! 6 shrimp and three pieces of fish. My hubby had the chicken fried steak and it was a real chicken fried steak! Nice selection of drinks as well.“

“With the sculpture out front and it being an art gallery we didn't expect to see paintings around the walls in the restaurant. Maybe we missed the gallery section. The food however was fantastic and this is a pokestop for any pokemon go players!“

“Excellent service, cocktails, food and presentation. The bacon wrapped tenderloin is ridiculously scrumptious. Spinach salad with hot oil dressing - killer. And the seafood pasta was filling and fantastic. The ambience is the only reason I gave a 4 - very quiet, sleepy vibe in the handsome restaurant, but not in the 1886 room. I wish they could be more connected in that way.“
