“Stopped in Harrisonburg while traveling and did what I usually do, looked for a local brewery. Can not say enough good things about this place, the staff were phenomenal and the food was excellent but the real star was the beer. Had a Kolsch, it was fantastic and paired great with the Italian sandwich.Thank you, this was a great find after a long day of driving.”
“This is the location that's in the shipping strip behind the Valley Mall. Very friendly staff! The food was delicious and fresh, and the sodas cold that steam was coming off of our glasses! Great fries, breaded mushroom, pizza, cheesesteak, and Italian sub. Reasonably priced and they serve beer and wine.”

The quality of the food and customer service is great, especially Noah at the bar-he remembers that I like my water without ice and with lemon, and that my husband often gets a stout beer.I would have given 5 stars for the food but tonight we came in to find that our favorite meal was off the menu- we actually used to come here just for the salmon-sometimes on a salad, other times we order the main dish.We are so disappointed! Please bring it back? ( But we’ll be back either way! )”

“I've heard wonderful things about Boba Cafe! Today was my first time here and it was worth the hype. Our server, Malvina, was the kindest waitress I've ever had! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped me decide on a fun new drink to try! I tried the Korean corn dog, it was good. The pork belly buns were super soft and delicious as well. The restaurant is very clean and the staff working were all very bubbly and sweet. Lots of drink and food options and it's a plus that the food isn't crazy expensive. I would definitely come here again.”

“This is our favorite Indian Restaurant. We make it a point to stop by whenever we pass by Harrisonburg. The dishes are a perfect balance of spices, heat, and texture. The garlic naan is fantastic. Our favorite dishes are Goat Curry, Chicken Saag and Lamb Curry.”

“We decided to have Heritage Bakery create our wedding cake for our wedding day. The bakery was communicative during our planning process, allowed us to try some flavors that weren't on a pre-selected list, and delivered everything on time. The wedding cake, which was a 2-tiered (10"/8") cake adorned with flowers, was stunning and we ordered several sheet cakes for service as well. I'm not much of a cake person myself, but even I absolutely devoured this cake. We ordered both a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting (which is much more flavorful than it sounds) and an apple spice cake with a vanilla buttercream frosting. The apple spice cake had pieces of apple in the cake, a wonderful spiced flavor, and beautiful dried apple slices on top of the sheet cake slices. All cakes were super moist and delicious! About 1 out of 4 times, there is something wrong with my order. i order sweet tea, i get unsweet. I order bbq chips, i get some other chips. I'll ask for napkins and get none. Just a little more attention to detail is all that is needed. Please tell your employees that extra mayo means EXTRA mayo not a tiny swath of mayo you can barely see or taste.”

“Definitely a place I'll be coming back to. We ordered a 20in meat lovers pizza with cheese breadsticks and cheese and bacon fries. The pizza was pretty good and like I said 20 inches so it was huge. I was a fan of them having Canadian bacon and ham which most places don't offer. While the pizza was good the star of the show was their secret sauce which tasted like a mix of blue cheese and ranch. It was zesty and flavorful. The cheese breadsticks were some of if not the best I've ever had and a must try. The bacon cheese fries were good too but I was not a fan of them being put on aluminum foil cause most of the cheese stuck on the foil but other than that it was a truly excellent experience and I recommend giving them a try.”

“The food is fantastic and the staff is great!! I hadn't been there for a while. I had quit going about a year and a half ago because of the owner's daughter(who was the manager). F bombs were just about every other word. I knew more about her sex life than I knew about mine. There were rarely any specials. You had to get whatever was available. There were fewer and fewer people eating. When I tried it again last week, I found that the owner's daughter was gone and had a new manager. There are new items on the menu board and seems to be busier than in the past. All they need to do, is to stay open until 2:00 and not lock the doors 30 minutes before closing.”

“We have been going here for over 20 years - never been disappointed. It is our go to restaurant for special occasions (several times a year because this is where everyone picks for their birthday). Hibachi is alway tasty, chefs are friendly and the yum yum is the best. The sushi is great as well.”
“The chicken is pretty darn good. There isn't really any service. You order at the counter. Someone brings you food on disposable plates. You throw it away when you're done. The menu doesn't match what's in the pics on Reddit. It is pretty run down inside. But it didn't feel unhygienic. Just felt like a secret restaurant.”

“Joe's puts you in mind of how it was years ago at a dinner/ truck stop. The service is always great. The food is delicious. We've ate there several times and have always had the same experience. This place won't be for everyone. But if you remember growing up in and out of places like this it will suit you just fine. Definitely planning on returning next time we come back to Harrisonburg.”

The quality of the cooking is quite high, with both duck breast and filet mignon cooked exactly as requested, and the crab beignet appetizer and the crème brûlée for dessert among the best dishes we have had in ages. Clam chowder and a green salad with gorgonzola and bacon were also outstanding, and a cut above similar dishes elsewhere in the area. Pre-dinner cocktails were well-prepared by the knowledgeable and skilled bartender. The high-ceilinged dining rooms, with white table cloths and comfortable chairs, are lovely as is the intimate bar area. Considering the high quality, the good wines by the glass, and the prix fixe offers available, the prices are reasonable for a special dinner out. Service is friendly and accommodating as well. Even though we live an hour away, we definitely plan to return soon.”
