“Bring my sis here to celebrateher B day. Love the food right here. Food aree a little bit pricey but Good quality. The oster with quailegg and uni is my must order dish. The steam eggs as well. It can be really cold if your sit outdoor. Service is fair and can be improve.“
“Have been wanting to try this for so long. Finally made my way here. Exceeded my expectations. I love all types of asian food. Fusion is generally hard to do well. Elevated fusion is even harder. Everything was really unique and delicious.“
“Seven Hills opens their kitchen and welcomes you into their home. The truffle pasta is what my boyfriend and I come back for every single time. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and the food is made so fresh. Truly incredible tasty date night spot — book ahead of time for sure as it does get busy. The polpette is a must try as well, the sauce is incredible“
“We wandered into the Ferry Building looking for a heated outdoor space to dine and lucked into Hog Island Oyster Co.! The mussels with summer squash and leeks came in bearnaise-like cream sauce that matched perfectly with the braided sourdough. The clam chowder was filled to the brim with in-shell steamed clams and a luscious, light chowder. While pricey, the fish and chips were London-worthy. We’ll be back ASAP!“
“During my visit to San Francisco a while ago, I had the pleasure of dining at this renowned restaurant nestled in the iconic Fisherman's Wharf area. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a stunning view of the water.Upon the recommendation of locals, we couldn't resist trying Scoma's famous clam chowder, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Creamy, flavorful, and brimming with fresh clams, it was a delightful introduction for my husband, who had never tasted clam chowder before. In addition to the clam chowder, we also indulged in Scoma's Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, and it exceeded our expectations. Packed with tender, thinly sliced beef and melted cheese, sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread, it was a comforting and satisfying choice. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and breathtaking scenery made our visit to Scoma's truly unforgettable.Whether you're a local or a visitor to San Francisco, I highly recommend dining at Scoma's. With its delectable seafood offerings, cozy ambiance, and waterfront views, it's the perfect destination for a memorable meal in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf.“
“The hype is real. It's cash-only, so bring plenty of cash. The servers both take orders and prepare them. Make sure to arrive early to avoid long lines. I went around 9 am and didn't have to wait. I ordered the Dungeness crab, half dozen oysters, and small Sicilian sashimi. The Dungeness crab is served cold (though I thought it would be warm for some reason), but everything is incredibly fresh and delicious. I would return to SF just to come back here.“
“We were running a bit late but the owner was super accommodating and understanding and still accepted our reservation. On top of that the Staff are extremely friendly! Then we get to the food! It was phenomenal! We ordered several items and all were excellent! I have to say the Oysters were delicious but don't sleep on the fish-n-chips or the Crab sandwich!! All great!!“
“Loved the ambiance here! Would come here for an occasion. Saw people on dates and with their friends/family! Waitress was incredibly nice and lovely. Wasn’t as amazed by food as I thought I’d be but would certainly return.Note: Parking was tough.“
“Stumbled over here from an event at the Verdi Club without reservations and in Victorian get up - and were lucky enough to snag a seat at the bar. The chef's menu had us at uni toast, but actually the donut holes with caviar were probably my favorite ridiculous things. Really, the entire raw bar was outstanding. We felt really spoiled by this menu and very welcomed by the staff. Would definitely come back here with reservations next time!“
“Ralph Waldo Emerson says “ Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.” But for restaurants like Abrazo consistency of excellent service, food and overall ambience are the good standard. And Mike and his team deliver every time. We were four on a cool February evening. We were welcomed like old friends, food and service was fabulous. Emerson had it wrong and Abrazo has it right.“
“La Ciccia is a gem of San Francisco. If you like Italian cuisine and you like seafood, you must try this Sardinian restaurant, featuring a seafood-heavy Italian cuisine that's unlike most Italian restaurants in the area.I thought the place closed, and only recently learned that the restaurant survived the original owners retiring. A real estate agent who lived a couple of blocks away and who was a regular customer decided to purchase the business. They kept all the staff, including the head chef. Supposedly, it was just as good as under the original owners. We were certainly pleased with our visit. We started with simply grilled squid and an order of their Sardinian flatbread, pane carasau. The flatbread reminds me of Indian papadam, but flavored with olive oil and intense rosemary. For her entree, Marcia got the house specialty -- homemade spaghetti with spicy olive oil and shaved bottarga (cured fish roe). Whenever we've gone to La Ciccia, at least one of us orders this dish, and in this visit, it did not disappoint.I decided to try something different and get the fettucine with a tomato and sea urchin sauce, topped with a shaving of cured tuna heart. I love Marcia's pasta with bottarga, but I'm so glad I tried something new. The sauce was amazing -- the tomatoes didn't overpower the sea urchin, and that wonderful flavor of the sea shined right through. For dessert, we split the chocolate panna cotta. It was fine. Marcia liked it more than me. Toasted hazelnuts added a nice texture and flavor to the dish.“
“This is one of my favorites in the Marina. Constantly very high quality food. I almost don’t want to review it because I don’t want it to get too crowded. They are very close to getting a Michelin star! Omg get the pavlova for desert. Their fish is amazing too.“
“Every dish was delicious, original, flavorful, and memorable. Managed to not get over anchovies despite having it in almost every dish. Definitely recommend the gravlax, jerky, focaccia, and sundae. Duck schnitzel was good but not on par with the rest.“
“Stepping into, one is immediately struck by its excellent ambiance, a blend of elegance and warmth that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service, too, was impeccable, with attentive staff ready to cater to every need. However, the journey took a slight detour when our eagerly awaited dishes arrived, only to find them disappointingly cold. Despite the initial chill, the standout of the evening was undoubtedly the risotto. Served piping hot and bursting with flavor, it was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. The fillet mignon, unfortunately, failed to meet expectations, arriving cold and lacking the desired tenderness. Even the truffle fries shared the same fate, arriving at our table with a noticeable chill. To their credit, the staff quickly acknowledged the oversight, going above and beyond to rectify the situation. Not only were we not charged for the subpar steak, but we were also treated to complimentary desserts. And what a treat they were! The desserts not only delighted the palate but also dazzled the eyes, a true testament to the artistry of the pastry chef. In conclusion, while the culinary journey had its ups and downs, the exceptional service and the culinary prowess showcased in dishes like the risotto and the stunning desserts left a lasting impression. With a bit more attention to detail in ensuring dishes are served at the appropriate temperature, Miller &Lux has the potential to truly shine as a culinary gem in the City“
“What a fish burrito! Perfectly cooked, and great flavor. I had the fried fish of the day with their signature hot sauce and it was perfect after a day of walking around. A must-stop if you are over by ocean beach.I went on rainy day which means seating wasn’t great as it’s a walk up restaurant with outdoor seating, but could imagine it on a beautiful sunny day. (On the plus side I got my food really fast).“
“My husband and I have been here for date nights. The food is great and drinks are unique and tasty. We had the sutro tower and the seafood was really fresh and delicious. We hope to come here more often since it is only a few blocks away, because why not?“
“This place was off the scale amazing!John's grill has been around a while Nd you can tell! They know how to look after customers. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. Service was impeccable. The food was to die for. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection as was the pasta. The deserts were flavour and wholesome. If you appreciate good food and service then this is a must! Go and visit John's grill.Yes it's not the cheapest but you pay for what you get and to be fair it isnt the most expensive. What a place. Will be definitely visit G again!“
“Food, service, atmosphere all satisfactoryOrdered Jjajangmyeon, Jjambbong, sweet and sour pork, walnut shrimp, and fried dumplings.Everything was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The owner was really friendlyBe sure to find parking on the nearby streets, and be sure to bring your luggage with you to avoid getting lost!“
“If you want to eat cioppino in SF, this is the place. Garlic and spices combine with the flavor of seafood to create a rich flavor. The clam chowder and crab cakes are also delicious. You can't make reservations so you'll have to wait in line, but it's worth it. You can also take it home, so if you live nearby, you can take it out and make pasta with the leftover soup for a great deal and delicious?“
“Great experience, all around. Interesting decor, creative dishes with unexpected ingredients, attentive staff, and fun wines. My party had a little delay being fully seated (because we ordered the tasting menu, and a larger table was needed to fit all the dishes), but they graciously made that right by seating us in an interim area, providing a free round of cocktails & a nice carrot dish to nosh on while we waited. That was classy. The radicchio dish is really stellar. Also particularly enjoyed the kingfish sashimi and scallops. Everything else was very tasty as well.“
“The lobster and crab are always fresh. My favorite are the crab tacos with cole slaw and house-made chips. Always so flavorful. My husband loves the lobster tails, perfectly cooked and served with a roll and melted butter. Adequate wine selection, better beer selection. Good service!“
“Among many excellent Italian spots in the city, this stood out. The homemade pasta has the perfect texture, and the fillings and sauces are delicate and wonderful. Service was kind and attentive, and the space - a favorite when it was Locanda and Ancora - remains intimate and elegant. Looking forward to another opportunity to dine.“
“This restaurant feels like it exists somewhere in between what could be a local haunt and a tourist trap. It has a versatile yet contained menu that has a little bit of something for everyone. The burrata appetizer was perfectly executed for a place that isn't designated Italian, and the salad offerings really stood out. I had the ahi tuna and for $20 wish I had a couple more pieces of Ahi but the flavors and seasoning were fantastic. I especially loved the little pieces of sushi style ginger mixed within - delicious. It should also be noted that the service was exceptional, toeing the line between attentive and breathable to a T. They even had an extra kale salad made by accident and brought it over complimentary as we waited for the last of our party to arrive. A+“
“To start off, I’ve never had Haitian food and didn’t know what to expect. After going to T’Chaka for lunch, I’m pleasantly surprised. Glad that I got a taste of Haiti. Food, service, ambiance, and decor is amazing.T’Chaka is located next to Swan’s Market in Old Oakland. Outside - there’s a colorful bright yellow sign with potted palm plants so place is hard to miss.Server was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating.Decor and ambiance - very colorful and vibrant. Haitian flag stood out to me. A lot going on with the paintings, fish tank, vases, wall fixtures, etc. Definitely feels like you’re walking into a local mom and pop restaurant that will serve authentic cuisine. A bit pricey - around $20 for each entree but the quality and time spent makes it worth.Unfortunately, I am pescatarian so I was unable to try the Oxtails, Jerk Chicken, or Griot. What a tragedy. But my co-worker said Oxtails were flavorful and delicious, went well with the fixings. She finished the whole plate and cleaned the bones off!Shrimp salad itself was flavorful - with passionfruit dressing. They also did not skimp on the shrimp - HUGE PLUS. As exotic as the dish sounds, the flavors went well together. Shrimp was well seasoned with a tangy, sweet, yet savory flavor. The passionfruit dressing itself was light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Nice palette of flavors, definitely Caribbean-esque.Cocktails and dinner: I would especially recommend coming for their dinner menu or Saturday special and drinks. Cocktails looked very intriguing and would go well with menu offerings.I would definitely recommend this place. Haitian food is super underrated! Take advantage of going during Restaurant Week!“
“There are not enough stars to describe the experience. The food was not only incredible but the presentation was beautiful. The service was magical from the hot towels to the goodie bag you go home with. The space is fabulous and I would go back in a heartbeat ?“
“Hands down, literally the best dinner I've ever had! From the wine, to Bruschetta appetizer, to meat canneloni and the best tirimissu I've ever had. I'm remember this dinner for a long time! The service was unbeatable as well.. hidden gem!“
“Absolutely the best every time!Vegetarian options: I used to get meat options years ago, but always get the veggie combo here.Parking: Meters - pay Mon-satKid-friendliness: Family and kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Easy access in and out; tables accessible and ramp to restroom.“
“Atwater tavern is the go to spot of Mission Bay! Always suggested to call ahead for guaranteed comfort“
“Service was solid and most of the food was amazing. We takeout from Burma Love regularly but this was my first time eating in the restaurant. The tea leaf salad, coconut rice, and platha are all must-orders in my opinion. Each are consistently 5/5.The broccoli is also a good way to get some greens in the meal.We deviated from our usual order and tried the pork belly and garlic noodles with shrimp. We were impressed and will be adding them to our rotation, though liked the pork belly over of the garlic noodles.Unfortunately the chicken was over cooked and as a result was not tasty. We’ve ordered this many times and have not had the experience.Starting off with the ginger tea was also nice. It was a little too sweet for my taste but my fiancé enjoyed it.We’ll definitely be back!“
“Visited this nice little place on Webster Street on a cold and rainy Friday night. The owner was very welcoming and service attentive. We ordered the Spicy Papaya Salad as an appetizer and 4 mains: Sngor Thhrourk (seafood soup), Spicy Tofu with Lemongrass, Minty Noodles with BBQ Pork, and Singapore Noodles. All of it was fresh, hot and very delicious. It's a good amount of food for the dollar so we all left with extra for lunch the next day. Great spot, good eats, friendly people. Recommended.“
“Best oysters I’ve had since ones at a Michelin star restaurant in Copenhagen. Their homemade Serrano garlic hot sauce makes me never want any others on an oyster. The hot oyster selections were an equally as great choice, with the miso bone marrow reigning on top, but this place got my pescatarian girlfriend to try the Panchetta leaning hot oyster choice. The char the cauliflower makes me feel insecure in my own veggie or even meat searing abilities as they’ve achieved a perfect char. The halibut crudo was delicious but I do feel it lacked a bit of acid or citrus to really elevate it to what I expected. On top of the food the drinks were phenomenal, the white wine spritz tasted like the worlds best vanilla sprite or a creamsicle drink better than anything you could imagine, shoutout to our waiter for recommending The yuzu lavender drink was also an all star and was refreshing while sweet and danced over own tongues. The orange wine was also stunning an entry level close to a resiling that taught me orange wine is worth a shot.“
“I had a very wonderful time at this restaurant. There were so many delicious meats, and they all had a very nice odor, mouth-watering taste, and perfect texture. The service was very good. I asked for some selections and they prepared them for me instantly, for no extra fee. The kind server who did that was Pablo Gaucho. The atmosphere had soothing music and good lighting. I would highly recommend.“
“1st time I went, I had seen the price on their online menu. When they rang it up, they upped the price. OK, I told em and accepted they did not set up their website and I learned not to use that pricing.Their Linguine with Clams and pear salad have brought me back a few time. The best Linguine and Clams anywhere.Pacifica is not loaded with good restaurants. Staff is nice, food comes quick and is great for either dine in, or take out.“
“We were in town for just a few days and discovered this amazing dim sum on our last day…of course we had to heat there for lunch AND dinner. Everything we had was so fresh, and had a depth of flavor and authenticity that just isn’t that common. Do yourself a favor and eat here as soon as you can, and often.“
“Normally I'm skeptical of restaurants in such touristy places but in this case I was pleasantly surprised. I booked asking for a table with a view and was satisfied (which was not so obvious). They immediately brought a bottle of water and bread and butter (this almost never happens now). Order arrived very quickly, waiter efficient and helpful. Excellent quality of dishes. Pleasant environment suitable for both a family dinner and a dinner for two. View of Fisherman Wharf with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. A peculiarity for those who cannot drink, they have non-alcoholic cocktails with non-alcohol liqueurs (more designed for teens than for adults).“
“This is the place we picked for lunch on our trip to San Francisco..not disappointed, exactly the opposite..extremely satisfied with food, service and style of restaurant..hope to visit there again if only to eat at this amazing place...people super nice “
“Cioppino was lovely.Enjoyed the Cioppino, but be warned it’s messy and massive, plenty for 3 or even 4 people. A salad was a nice pallet cleanser between bowls.Got two seats straight away on a walk in, and sat at the bar. Lovely atmosphere. Slightly warm inside.Fast and friendly service.“
“My wife and I ate here for her birthday and it was a fantastic choice. We had the bone marrow, escargot, and croquettes to start. She had the flounder and I ate the Quail Pie. Everything was fantastic and I was very satisfied with my choice of the Quail Pie. Service was great and my wife enjoyed it immensely.“
“Love their cheap poke! We do feel like they could've given us a little bit more in each portion though. Only issue was the 25 cents they charged for the bag without asking us first... We brought a bag with us and were holding it throughout ordering, paying, and waiting. 25 cents isn't the end of the world but asking us first would be nice (and good for the environment).“
“The dinner prix fixe was stellar. Each dish was special and interesting, and balanced. The care that the staff gave us was personal and thoughtful, and they tailored to our dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Extremely accommodating to dietary restrictions. Just share with your server!“
“Honestly the best Italian place we’ve been in SF. We were looking for somewhere close so we decided to give it a shot and the service was amazing. I’ve never had such kind welcoming people at a restaurant. The food was also amazing and so quick. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an Italian place.“
“Incomparable place, excellent service, incredibly delicious food, as for a tourist who is here for the second day, I want to say this place made an incredible impression on me, I wanted to come back again ❤️ I will come again to dine again “
“We decided to visit Sura Sushi for a casual workday late dinner. Our experience was nothing short of delightful. We started with Buri Daikon soup, which provided comforting warmth.Opting for a selection of Nigiri and Sashimi, we were thoroughly impressed. Each piece showcased the freshness and quality of the ingredients. From the Chu Toro to the O Tor, Engawa to Sunazuri, and Hotate, every bite was a symphony of flavors and freshness. Highly recommend this place.“
“Great food to enjoy in a great atmosphere, and the restaurant has great location, too. You can request for a window view to see the sea lion or patio view where you just enjoy the touristy atmosphere.Service is quick. Everyone moves fast. The food was all incredible!Vegetarian options: Some what recommend since they do have salad and vegan dishes.Kid-friendliness: Kid’s menu and high chairsWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair entrance and tables“
“Excellent food and service at this Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant in the Sunset area. We shared a set menu of Roasted Dungeness Crab that came with a small but delicious Cabbage Chicken Salad (Goi Ga), Imperial Rolls (Cha Gio), and buttery Garlic Fried Noodles. The Fried Chicken Wings were crispy but on the sweet side. The food came out promptly and our waitress was friendly and checked on us frequently. Prices were on par with other similar SF establishments. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant was full on a rainy weeknight when we were thefe. Parking was rather hard to find, so give yourself time, or better yet, don't drive!“
“We were seated immediately just as Happy Hour started. We ordered the burger & fries on the happy hour menu. The juicy burgers were as we requested (medium well), and the garlic fries were delicious as well. The crabchowder was very good and made it a meal with the goat cheese & beet salad. Friendly and attentive service!“
“We took my mom here for her birthday day and we had an amazing experiences thanks to the great service from all the staff and scrumptious foods. We loved 1.5 $ oyster deal which was also very fresh , we ended up ordering a lot for oysters lovers in our family. Each entree was perfectly cooked with full of flavors. The service was spotless, we felt very attended by multiple staffs. We will definitely come back to appreciate the experience again !“
“Husband and I had dinner here, was seated according reservation, very polite and professional staff. food was delicious, husband had petite Filet Mignon, I ordered the special Bone in filet. Both were juicy and full of flavor. It was cooked according to preference, we both loved it. had some sides, creamy spinach and portabella mushrooms, perfect. with the steaks, enjoyed the garlic fries and bread with old fashions to start. We ended with dessert and coffee. would highly recommend for birthday, date night, or just because you want to enjoy a amazing steak. We ate here for the first time when it opened way back in early 2000's and it hasn't disappointed us at all. very consistent to who they are and what they serve. luv it!“
“Stopped here for a quick lunch while visiting family at CPMC. I enjoy finding different cuisines when in SF and Piroo was a great find. While they don’t have an extensive menu, they have more than enough options to suit any tastes. I had the pork jhol momo and it was great. Just the right amount of savory and spice to make it memorable. They also serve beer and wine to round out your meal.“
“A dear friend invited me to experience a bit of "traditional" Hong Kong style hot pot. It was a different experience for me as I had not been to a restaurant where you get literally a hot pot and then you have to dip meat of one form or another into it and you add all the ingredients on the fly -- egg, veggies, tofu? Etc... And apparently I started off wrong, but once she showed me how it was yum yum all the way through. Be sure to come hungry because it's an unending supply of soup and you can always order more of the beef, lamb or other meats. #TheBrokerWithAHeart.Parking: This is a mall in this thing and parking is always available.“
