“Gem hiding in plain sight. Craving seafood after a show, we checked out Julian's Aguachiles. We were greeted with a smile from a friendly waitress. The chips and salsa tasted homemade. My daughter's meal came out first. I'm a critic when it comes to side beans. I can tell if they are homemade or not. These side beans were perfect. I could eat an entire plate of just beans. The presentation of the shrimp Aguachiles is picture worthy. The taste was nicely seasoned without being overpowering hot. My husband's beef soup was the perfect combination to dial down the heat. Word of caution: once the heat is gone, you will be craving for more. Looking forward to trying different options on the menu.“
“Customer service is great. The cashier (a guy) was fun, funny, friendly, makes you feel comfortable, he is respectful and makes you want to return. This was my first time trying this place out. The food was great. The other customers were raving about the food and drinks while I was waiting for my food to be ready. I will definitely be going back again. Oh, and the fries with pork, nacho cheese, onions, and tomato on top were my favorite ? ? yum! The red salsa is spicy, good and the green one is mild and so flavorful, I am a fan of the green one. Food was not greasy either. A must try place.Dietary restrictions: There are plenty of dishes with no dairy and offer drinks that are non dairy. As for the rest I'm not 100% sure, but they do have tacos de papa with pork that I dont see why they couldn't make some without the meat to make it vegetarian and probably even vegan.Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: I did see kids there eating with their parents.Wheelchair accessibility: It's in s parking lot, they have tables. There is plenty of space, and can easily move around and move a chair to fit a wheelchair.“

“This place is delicious! I am a regular that comes for their scrumptious chico mole bowls. If you want a healthy and tasty option this is the place to come. The chicken is really well marinated and clocked over flame, you can taste the charred crispy edges of the chicken while the inside remains juicy! The mole is sweet with a hint of spice. They serve it with 2 huge corn tortillas. I weigh my food because of my high protein diet and this bowl gets you about 50 grams of protein from the chicken and about 79 grams of carbs from the rice and tortillas. The guys are super friendly!I highly recommend this place!“
“I was in Michoacan a couple of years ago, the OG place where they originate and by far these tacos from Carnitas Mi Rancho are almost identical, no lie!!! “Standard Mexican food. I might have been expecting more. I had the carne asada fries. It taste good but doesn't have that fast food feel that makes you feel fat afterwards. I wish there was more guacamole and meat. The carne asada tastes pretty flavorful. The pozole was good but it wasn't what I'm used to. The soup felt like it needed more time for the flavor to become more bold and mesh together.“

I pass by this taco truck at least a couple times a week and always have a long line. You can't miss it if you're ordering at night with their bright light show! Their food looked good in the pictures and I had to try'em. When I got my order, they did not disappoint! Exactly what I expected and it was made with the quickness! Chicken tacos were spot on and the azada fries were fresh and the fries were crispy! I was afraid to eat from these taco trucks but now that I've tasted it, definitely going back for more. I have previously met the owner Joaquin and even being a busy business owner he always has a smile on his face and is very friendly. I've been in search of the perfect Chile Reno burrito for years. I am close to ending my search. This is year 6 of my search, and El Forastero is tied for 1st place so far. For now, at least in Ventura county, this truck is my weekly go to for a fresh fast meal. “We had a great time at Cabo's on our Anniversary Day. We both wanted to try it after a few recommendations and the fact that I used to work in that building in the late 70s when it was a Sizzler Steak House Restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was awesome. We had appetizers as well as our meal and ended it with dessert. They all came out in a timely manner. I would go again!“

“It's a food truck in front of a bikini bar. They have GREAT street tacos. Generpus portions. We tried the asada, chicken, & pork. Got a side of rice & beans too. “I went to dinner with my first new friend/coworker since moving to Oxnard. She moved here a month before me and said she has been wanting to try this place. I was excited to try it since I tried the Santa Barbara one and liked it. It didn't disappoint. I got a chile verde burrito and a soda. I forgot to snap a pic of her food but she got enchiladas and a margarita. I did manage to get a pic of her margarita. We both enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is small, clean and the staff is friendly. They came and checked up on us twice during our meal even though this is an order at the counter and then sit to eat place.“

The people taking my order are always nice and the people handing it out are always smiling and make sure you have everything you need before you go! I love coming here. “Honestly, they should allow a 4.5 rating because this place only lacks ambiance. Other than that, the food is excellent. I'm a burrito guy. I've had both their carnitas and carne asada burritos, with everything. The only thing I don't, or wouldn't like when eating either is taking a bite and chewing on gristle or fat! I'm happy to report that that hasn't happened, allowing for a good eating experience. Both burritos were delicious and I was plenty full afterwards. Nice staff. Small bag of chips and choice of red or green chili sauce with your order. I'll definitely be going back.“

If you need a place that offers early morning take out with an option to order in advance via an app, this is place for you. I attached a screenshot of the location since the Apple and Google maps was going a little off when I went inside the complex area. Good place to eat onsite or pick up! I love the grab and go app ordering. I can't do this with any other place nearby because a lot of nearby places don't offer app ordering and are not open until 11am. This is my new go to spot for grab and go before work!“

If you're in the area and/or catching the Amtrak out if Oxnard I recommend stopping by (or jumping off the train to catch the next) and eating here. “My wife and I just had late lunch at La Mixteca. And it was very very good! We had the chicken tamale with red sauce. We had the Tlayuda and we also had the chicken enchilada. I've got to tell you, it was all totally authentic and made to order. In fact, my wife said that the tamale was the best that she's ever had! In fact, she actually watched them make it from scratch in the back! Service was great... I'd say the only downside was the price point for the Tlayuda which was $21. I think that was a little high for what you got, but overall I highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Excellent meals, reasonably priced. But make sure you ask for "plain" (low spices). If you don't want a soda make sure of that as well when you order. (They do not offer diet soda.) I need to make sure they know I want a plain burger with cheese for instance... No fries btw.“

“WOW!!! The food was AMAZING!! We had the fish tacos to start....perfection!! Not your typical fish taco! I had the Chicken al la King and it was SO tasty! Must try! My husband had the special which was Sea Bas with Ratatouille and it was out of this world delicious! The bartender (Brenton..sp?) was awesome! We tried 4 different drinks from the menu, they were very well balanced and delicious! The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The service was wonderful! “Had to use their parking to drop someone off to the parade and worker came out to advise I had to move (limited parking on busy days). Instead of moving I bought some food know it was going to be about 30 minutes and let me just say I'll be back and would recommend. Salsa bar was fresh - only had the verde but again not disappointed. Worker friendliness, restaurant feel/decor and food quality were all good. My final reason to return will be the Pokémon they have in their claw machine... I didn't win this but again I'll be back.“
