“A hidden restaurant in Pacifica. From the moment you step through the door, you are greeted with warm hospitality and the tantalizing aroma of Italian food. It was a charming ambiance, and good service, it's no wonder I'll be planning my return visit. Buon appetite!“

“Delicious food. Chef was from another favorite of ours, Paisano'sFresh ingredients, good winesI wish the ambiance was a little better. Their sign and menus had significant typos , the paint colors and TV added a dreariness. All easily fixable, with cozy lighting , fewer tables, typos fixed, a be better sign / banner“

“The sandwiches are yummy. It’s just a pick up your food and go kind of place. The sandwiches do take a while to come out. Overall it’s a solid place to grab a massive sandwich.Vegetarian options: There is no protein option for vegetarians or vegans. They have one vegetable sandwich or you can build your own. The sandwich is delicious.“

“Honestly, one of the best pastas I've had so far in sf. Super cute interior, dim lights, friendly service. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat on weeknight. - hokkaido scallops: perfect amount of yuzu, excellent texture. Super good, but wasn't the star dish for me - casoncelli: absolutely incredible! Perfectly al dente, with amazing pesto flavor. The pistachios were a nice touch too - gramigna: also so good and al dente. The noodles were a fun texture and the umami flavor shined through. I definitely wanna come back and try all the other pastas! The portions aren't big and not the cheapest you'll find around, but I do think it's worth. 5/5“

“La Ciccia is a gem of San Francisco. If you like Italian cuisine and you like seafood, you must try this Sardinian restaurant, featuring a seafood-heavy Italian cuisine that's unlike most Italian restaurants in the area.I thought the place closed, and only recently learned that the restaurant survived the original owners retiring. A real estate agent who lived a couple of blocks away and who was a regular customer decided to purchase the business. They kept all the staff, including the head chef. Supposedly, it was just as good as under the original owners. We were certainly pleased with our visit. We started with simply grilled squid and an order of their Sardinian flatbread, pane carasau. The flatbread reminds me of Indian papadam, but flavored with olive oil and intense rosemary. For her entree, Marcia got the house specialty -- homemade spaghetti with spicy olive oil and shaved bottarga (cured fish roe). Whenever we've gone to La Ciccia, at least one of us orders this dish, and in this visit, it did not disappoint.I decided to try something different and get the fettucine with a tomato and sea urchin sauce, topped with a shaving of cured tuna heart. I love Marcia's pasta with bottarga, but I'm so glad I tried something new. The sauce was amazing -- the tomatoes didn't overpower the sea urchin, and that wonderful flavor of the sea shined right through. For dessert, we split the chocolate panna cotta. It was fine. Marcia liked it more than me. Toasted hazelnuts added a nice texture and flavor to the dish.“

“Best Italian food in the Bay Area hands down! Service is great! The food is heavenly. The lemon cake is undertaking a divine spiritual journey experienced by the taste buds. I would recommend this place any day! I have been coming here since 2014 and have never been let down. The consistency in delicious food deserves praise!“

“Holy cannoli! Came here twice in a week because it's that good. First time we dined in and had table service for three of us. The staff immediately greeted us with recommendations of the menu for food and drink. We started off with some cocktails- the Stemware at Dolores Martini, and a new addition which was basically a white Negroni. They were delish. For starters we ordered the focaccia bread and the fried mozzarella Carozza with a house made marinara. Both were an amazing way to start a meal. We shared the Bolognese and Gnocchi Carbonara with duck. Both packed with flavor. The Bologense tasted like I was at someone's house in Italy. We ended with the pistachio cannolis. The mascarpone was so soft and it wasn't too sweet. A perfect balance. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture. The second time we came we sat at the bar. It was a cool vibe to chat with the bartenders and watch the warriors game. The.l bar program should not be overlooked. We ordered the Lost Boy and the C is for Cookie. Both were delicious. I've never had a Manhattan with anise and Prosecco, but it worked. We again got the focaccia, this time with whipped ricotta and mortadella. It was amazing. We also used the bread to dip in the leftover sauce of the chilled artichoke. We shared the fried chicken and polenta as our entree. The polenta might be the best I ever had. The chicken was awesome, too. Perfectly crispy and juicy, and smothered with Calabrian chilis. Great flavor, not too spicy. We ended with that tiramisu, and once again might be the best I've had. The cake was moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'll be back until I go through the whole menu. I'm looking forward to seeing this place evolves a great addition to the neighborhood!“

“I have loved Beretta for years! Service is fast, food is delicious, staff is kind, & it is not crazy expensive. Love the beets, zucchini (when in season), caesar salad, brussels, pizzas, and the TIRAMISU. Yes, they've changed the tiramisu recipe recently for when you dine in - I prefer the old way. Yet, won't knock off a star, They deserve all the stars!“

“The only complaint I would have is that the music was annoyingly loud. Everyone had to talk over it, which made the restaurant loud and at9pm there were only six tables. Decor could be updated to keep up with the more updated restaurants, but the funky decor lets you know you're in San Fran! Wait staff amazing and food was delicious.“

“This is my favorite San Francisco pizza. The crust is so uniquely SF, think inspired by Napoli dough but with a streak of SF sourdough culture. The crust is well hydrated, chewy, and charred. The toppings are inspired by classics and enhanced by fresh local ingredients. I more than willingly pay the $2 for a side of their homemade ranch that is freshly zested with lemon and dill— a beautiful contrast the cheese and richness of the pizza. All around, my favorite pizza place in town.My only thing is that I can’t bring my dog, as there’s no outside space, so I get it and it’s not a point off of my assessment. Otherwise, family friendly and chill industrial vibe. I’m into it.“

“Amazing food, large portions, strong drinks! I like Daly City original joes much better than the one in the city. Place is always packed which is a green flag. Service is a little slow since it’s always busy but very reasonable. The butter cake dessert is a must try! Drinks are also very strong, 1 cocktail is more than enough to get me tipsy“

“Super nice staff. The food wasn’t particularly outstanding (the pasta was pretty bland and a bit overcooked), though it did come out quickly. The atmosphere is very red sauce Italian—if you’re into that, you’ll like this place. I personally found the atmosphere a bit much, but I can see what they were going for and how others might like that.“

“SF has plenty of good sandwiches, but a nice Italian hoagie is hard to find. This place is near the top of my list for SF, especially after Marine Submarine changed owners and the new spot is not even close to what it used to be (and not to mention a very different style). Sandwiches come is different sizes to match your appetite. The slides meats are very high quality, and not just your average deli slices. I recommend the corned beef, pastrami, and roast beef. Like many Italian hoagies, the sauce is incredibly important and has to coat the lettuce and tomatoes just right. The bread is nice and flaky, and not too soft or doughy like a lot of other places. If I lived closer I would come here once a week. Note that they no longer have tables for you to sit inside, the are only take out right now.“

“Such a wonderful Italian restaurant. Very authentic, family run, excellent vibes. The food was delicious and the pasta options were interesting. We got the orecchiette, ravioli, some penne and all were great, as were the sauces. Steak and ahi were great additions. And the cannoli was the best I’ve had out of 6 places in SF, beating all of the Italian bakeries in north beach and mission. The filling was just the right sweetness with a hint of orange and the shell was fresh and crisp. Tiramisu was a strong contender too. Highly recommended!“

“The Boscaiola was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in the Bay, maybe top 5 for meThe gnocchi was the perfect texture and give, with a fresh richness to the sauce of white truffle oil and porcini. the sausage brought out a hearty, crunchy fatness to it all that had me kissing my fingers chef style !What a wonderful time here all around. The owner, Vega, was there, and she was so welcoming, generous and fun to talk to! As well as our amazing waitress Julia. We also had the canneli and calamari, I’m a bit more of a softer bean sort of gal but the calamari was perfectly seared and lightly seasoned with a powerful punch. My friend’s dishes, the veal cutlet/mashed potatoes + the zucchini rigatoni were delish dishes as well that they ate up in a split second. Great dishes. BUT I truly was blown away by the Boscaiola, highly recommend. The bread was fresh and wheaty in a cottage core classic style. paired so well with everything, including the beets and burrata. The burrata when eaten at same time as beets was perfect, burrata by itself was great but could have used more seasoning.ALSO! Divine Wine Wednesdays = HALF OFF the bottle of wine, amazing deal“

“Really great pizza with a crispy, chewy crust cooked to perfection (got that "leoparding" as the pizza geeks call it) and a bunch of different pies ranging from traditional NY style to a great looking lamb and sumac topping we'll be back to try. We also had SUCH a great cheesecake for dessert. And, the wine list is well appointed with great notes on every glass and bottle, the espresso coming out with our neighbors' dessert smelled great, and the folks working here were soooo nice and so fast to swing by the table to ask if we needed anything. Cozy and friendly inside, full of cheerful locals - a great place for a Saturday date or a quick meal on a weeknight. Maybe my new #1 favorite pizza place in SF. We'll be back over and over!“

“Hello...I had the opportunity to stay overnight in San Bruno before heading to Austin, TX. My sister and I decided to walk to Roma Deli for our dinner. All I can say is...YOU MUST GO THERE!!!!! SO worth it...thank you!!!!!“
“There are few foods I enjoy more than a fresh deli sandwich, and I was quite pleased with the sandwiches at Cafe Stellato! Cafe Stellato is a very cute cafe that greets you with a display of fantastic looking gelato (which I will be trying next time I come in!). But there are also a plethora of sandwich options available to those who make their way in toward the back of the cafe. I ordered the Stellato Special with the works, and my partner ordered the Alpino. The combination of turkey, artichoke, and sun dried tomatoes were delicious, and the ingredients all tasted very fresh. When asked, I opted for the spicy calabrese spread, though I was slightly disappointed that there was no real spice to it. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the Alpino as well, and commented multiple times on how tasty the pancetta (Italian bacon) was!Our order was taken very quickly, and the sandwiches were prepared nice and quickly. Everyone working there was friendly and efficient.I will definitely be coming back to eat my way through more of their sandwich menu. And next time, I think I'll be topping it off with some of that great looking gelato!“

“Came here for dinner with family. Some of us ordered the fettuccine, pappardelle and rigatoni. Food was flavorful and tasty. My rigatoni was too al dente , and actually tasted harder compared to the other pasta dishes. Service was slower but there was only one person, I’m assuming the owner - older man. He was very nice and attentive as best he could’ve been but clearly he needed help so we just had to be patient. The restaurant wasn’t full but he was clearly busy. We also ordered dessert and that was good as well. I would recommend and go again.“
“OMG, the seasoning on the fried fish was so good!! I ate up all of the cabbage because it was full of flavor. And the candied yams were just perfect. These guys know what they're doing! They're in a food truck in the parking lot of the Hunter's Point Speakeasy.“

“Solid Italian-American fare at this spot. GREAT location overlooking the waterfront. We had calamari fritti and salmon carpaccio for appetizers...both delish! My friend had the gnocchi Gorgonzola and I had the pasta special of artichoke lasagna. Both were quite delicious. Being full-blooded Italian I can say I've had more authentic Italian food in the Bay Area, but I've been here a couple of times and would continue to come because everything I've had has been delicious and solid.“

“Italian cuisine was excellent with many options, especially pasta. Unfortunately we came when there was 3 very large loud parties which I thought was unusual for a Monday night. “You can't go wrong with Teanis! In my honest opinion these sandwiches are far much better than little Luca. The service is always quick but thoughtful. Although they are always busy I receive my food in a timely manner. I also enjoy that this is a small business & the home feeling the shop's decor brings. These sandwiches are ginormous and one sandwich can easily feed 2-3 people. I always have two meals out of one sandwich.“

“The service was good and the food was delicious. My friend and I shared a cesar salad and another entree. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. The reason I gave a four star review is because I was charged for splitting dishes and then charging us when we didn't ask them to. What we did say was we are going to share our dishes and the server assumed we wanted them to split the dishes for us and did not mention there will be a fee. So, be warned if you want to share any dishes at this restaurant there is a fee of $1 per dish for them to put each item on two separate plates for you and chances are they will not mention the fee, and it will just magically appear on your bill. Other than the split fee hiccup, we did enjoy our meal.“

“First time getting pizza here. We got take out, so I don't accually know what the dine-in experience is like. I dont even know what the inside is like, since the husband picked up, but as far as the pizza, for what it is, five stars. And what it is is top notch, comfort food "childhood" pizza - the kind from a pizzeria that was kind of dark inside with wood paneled walls and a few light-up beer signs. Most likely they were for Hamm's and/or Olympia. There were two and four tops along the walls, but the middle of the dining room was for big tables to accommodate the end-of-season pizza parties for little-leaguers and soccer teams. There were also a couple of arcade games and a pinball machine. Some teenager with a muscle shirt was always playing. Pizza was served on those aluminum trays and pitchers of fountain root beer was drunk out of those tall red plastic cups with the pebbley texture on the outside. With the pizza from Monza, the cheese is gooey, the crust is both crunchy and chewy and perfectly cooked with those little crunchy sauce-and-cheese bits at the edge of the crust. It's what you remember from the halcyon days of your youth, but leveled up. Because back then, in the nameless pizza joint from back in the day, the crust was maybe a little like cardboard and the cheese somewhat plastic, but you were happy with all your friends, and full of sugar from the root beer, goofing off and punching each other in the arm. And so the pizza, however mediocre, was like a little slice of heaven for your ten year old self. The pizza from Monza makes you reminisce fondly about those times, but in the here and now you're actually eating good pizza. So we'll be ordering again. This made our gray rainy day.“
