“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I absolutely love Urban Plates! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The menu offers a fantastic variety of fresh, seasonal ingredients, and every dish I’ve tried has been bursting with flavor. What really sets Urban Plates apart is their commitment to quality. The salads are vibrant and crisp, the proteins are cooked to perfection, and I can always count on their delicious, house-made sauces to elevate each meal. The option to customize my plate allows me to explore new flavors while sticking to my dietary preferences. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to recommend their favorites. Plus, the commitment to sustainability and using local ingredients makes me feel good about my choices. Whether I’m dining in or grabbing a meal to go, Urban Plates never disappoints. It’s truly one of my favorite spots to enjoy fresh, wholesome food!”
“At poke places, it is so important for the food to be fresh. You don't have to worry about this here. The staff is willing to help you arrange your bowl if you want any suggestions about pairings. Highly recommend!”
“I was here for a music event, and my group didn't know what to eat. We found this place online and went to get some food. Eric, our sever was AMAZING! Such a sweet guy, and was always coming back to our table to make sure we were having a good time refilling out waters and adding more broth when needed. Give that man a raise!!”
“My husband and I lived in San Jose two years ago and came back to visit. This is an incredible and welcomed find. The beer was both delicious and made with unique ingredients that gave their beers a distinct edge. We didn’t eat while here but the menu had some great choices. We will definitely be back on our next visit.”
“Omogari is popping here in the Japantown neighborhood and I was excited to dine here with some friends in their outdoor patio.
With a long line for Korean food and indoor/outdoor seating, be sure to use the Yelp waitlist if you can to get ahead of the wait.
They have classic Korean dishes with fairly generous portions from what I could tell. Limited veggie options (and you'll have to ask to make sure something can be fully plant-based/vegan), but I was happy to see they could make their Mushroom Sundubu with veggie stock. I ordered that spicy and it luckily also came with rice.
The sundubu was fantastic and hit every note I could want from a tofu stew. Loved the veggies, the broth was not too salty, and the accompanied banchan was great with the meal.
Service was also pretty fast considering how busy they were and they checked in on us for just the right amount of time. Thanks Omogari for a great dinner experience.”

“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood”
“Thai Soul Kitchen is an apropos name - the family vibe is strong and the vibe shines through the food. Call to make sure they have a table. Bangin’ curries, noodles for days, distilled vegetarian menu - we’ll be back”

“Excellent pizza—easily some of the best in San Jose! The crust has that perfect crunch with a sourdough-like flavor. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients, from the handmade dough to the perfectly balanced sauce. It’s clear a lot of care goes into every pie. The vibe is relaxed and a little bar-like, but still clean and thoughtfully put together, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a pickup order on the way home. Truly a gem in the San Jose pizza scene.”

“The best cookies I’ve had in a while. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth but these are so so good! I love the new variety of flavors every week and how they’re so unique and different than the generic cookies you buy in the grocery store. The price isn’t too bad either! For a box of 6 cookies it’s $22 but the cookies are HUGE. I can never finish one by myself so I leave them to the rest of my family. Also pro tip download the crumble app so you can earn free rewards. 100 points equals to $10 you can use towards the cookies.”

Specially you are come here to attend conference from Korea, must visit!!!!”
“I came here before and I thought that they just simply had a lucky day where they provided an exceptional and outstanding service. Today is my second time being here and they just broke the record with top customers satisfaction.
Everyone I came in contact with were super friendly, especially Enrique and Jenny.
I will definitely come again”

“Food is nothing short of amazing. Large menu and especially good for vegetarians and those who are into healthy options and unwilling to sacrifice taste. Really good kids menu. It's crowded and loud on Friday night, so you'll need a little patience if you go then.”

“I’ve been here twice this past year—once for dinner and once for weekend brunch—and both experiences were amazing. For dinner, expect to pay a pretty penny; dinner and drinks for two came to about $360 with tip. Brunch, on the other hand, was super reasonable considering all the offerings—we spent around $50 per person including food, drinks, and tip.
The food was incredibly flavorful and filling, with beautiful and unique presentation. The atmosphere was absolutely stunning and both times our servers were amazing—attentive, friendly and professional.
I’d give a 9.8 out of 10, with the only deduction being that the hosts were a bit snobby both times.”
“The chocolate vegan cake was delicious! Wouldn’t have guessed it’s vegan. Very light and fluffy. The “fish” sandwich was light and had good flavor, a few more fish pieces would have been good. The smoothie was fresh and creamy and the kumquat drink was goood and not too sweet. I’d come back for sure , it’s a nice cozy spot with seating inside and out. Fresh made vegan food”
“The caterer for my daughter's wedding canceled a week before the wedding. Latin-Asian-Fusion Kitchen came through with exactly what was needed. The help was sincere and the food was great. Everybody complimented the food and there was plenty. Roddy responded to us promptly and kept in touch throughout the week and event. Great experience!!”
“TBH I was hesitant at first to eat at Acopia. As a vegan, most Mexican restaurants do not usually have options for me. Their menu is somewhat minimal and limited, so entered with few expectations or hopes that I could order anything more than a salad. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The owner came to our table and was most accommodating. I ordered a succulent nopales salad, street corn and some delicious blue corn sopes de calabasita (zucchini and flower). It was all quite tasty and I was even more surprised when she brought out some vegan mayo AND vegan cheese to top off my food with more flavor. The atmosphere is very modern and simply styled, mirroring their “chic” food menu. I found the food delicious though a bit on the bland side, but was grateful that they came through for me and my vegan diet. I left sated and happy that I could fully participate in the meal alongside my meat-eating friends. The owner was very thoughtful and really went out of her way to make sure I had plenty of choices to order. Although it was a bit pricey, I will definitely go back again. The modern ambiance, the attentive service and the fancy yet rustic food combined to make a lovely evening meal.”

“Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Great gin cocktail and the shrimp and grits was excellent. It’s a perfectly-sized restaurant inside and picnic tables and umbrellas outsides surely great for brunch. The service was friendly and attentive.
Post St. itself is a mangy but keep faith until you get to the front door—worth it.”
“The service here alone made this place worth it. Felt seen, heard, and received constant check-ins and recommendations. The food we ordered (lasagna and fettuccine w/chicken) came within about 10 minutes of ordering and was delicious. Well sized portions. Plenty of options even for picky eaters. Nice hole in the wall type place with a fancy upscale feel.”
“We had lunch and dinner a couple of times at Jack's. We always had a pleasant experience, and the food and the service is excellent. Looking forward to visiting again.

“Pleasantly impressed by Uyghur Cuisine. Tried skewered lamb, mutton, home made noodle, soup & yogurt dessert. All Good & will certainly revisit”

“I haven't been to this Denny's in a long time, I was worried that we weren't going to have a good experience, But I was surprised at the excellent customer service, I spoke with the manager Blanca and expressed that they had exceeded my expectations. and she was very kind and took the time to come to our table thanked us for coming.”
“I love this Dennys !! I was so sad to hear that Juan no longer works here !! Hes been our waiter forever !! But on a good note, his replacement is Awesome ! Forgot how to say her name . She has many tattoos and is always smiling !! Excellent service !! Fast , but not pushy. Very attentive to our needs and we were very happy. We will definitely be going back on a regular. !!”
“We went through drive thru after seeing Jelly Roll in concert and the woman who took our order was so polite and very patient! Food was a little pricey, but after we ate, it was worth it! We both got the Western Bacon combo with cross cut fries and pink lemonade. It was all fresh and hot and yummy! Thanks! ?”
“I only went through the drive through so keep that in mind.
Drive up and they take your order right away. The menu is bright and clear. The speaker is clear and loud.
The building is old but it stands alone which is cool. More and more rare nowadays. The parking lot is huge. I saw a kids okay area which is also rare, though I can’t vouch it’s open for use.
Took about 10 minutes to get food with no one in line in front of me. Which tells me they probably don’t have many workers and also they don’t have stuff ready and waiting which I guess that’s good in a way. Fresher food.
I for the California Classic Double Cheeseburger and it was pretty good! And according to the menu only 420 calories. Also had a grilled chicken sandwich. Also pretty good. I’m gonna say this is a pretty good restaurant.
The price is good and it’s open 24 hrs. I’m calling this place a winner. Sorry didn’t take any pics.”

“Best pho place in San Jose !! I’m not even exaggerating. Other places charge the same amount and give way less. This place will give you a big bowl. Customer service was the best I’ve had at any restaurant in all of San Jose !!!!!! Well definitely come back again!!!”
“Bò Né Phú Yên is a solid spot for sizzling Vietnamese steak, offering filet mignon, eggs, pâté, and fresh baguettes on a hot iron plate. The rich flavors and tender meat make it a satisfying meal, and the presentation adds to the experience. The food court setting can be noisy, and seating is limited during busy hours, but the quality of the dish makes up for it.
The portion sizes are fairly generous, making it a filling option for breakfast or lunch. However, some visits can be inconsistent, with slight variations in meat tenderness or seasoning. Despite that, the restaurant remains one of the better choices for Vietnamese sizzling steak in the area, especially for those who enjoy bold flavors and interactive dining experiences.”
“Greeted warmly as i entered and met a friendly smile at the register. It was my 1st time at this location, Almaden, and very surprised by the great variety of offerings. I went with the portobello mushroom panini and tomato bisque soup. YUM YUM delicious 😋 Looking forward to coming back with my squad and trying different items. Come check this!”
“Paleta Planeta is hands down the best ice cream and popsicle shop in the South Bay! The variety and innovative flavors are absolutely insane, every single one is bursting with fruity, flavorful, and creamy goodness that hits perfectly any time of year, especially in the summer. It’s the perfect spot to share sweet moments with the whole family. The shop itself is bright and welcoming, with plenty of seating and a super friendly staff that makes every visit a great experience. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously missing out Paleta Planeta is a must-visit dessert destination!”
“Half-pound (and up) fresh ground chuck burgers perfectly cooked. Plenty of menu options like turkey, bison, ostrich & more. The fries are excellent, and you load up your burger with all the fixins. Simply the best burger in the South Bay - even better that what Kirks USED to be.”

“Naltaliya was great in every step of the way. We ordered a cake and a cupcake for the baby shower. Sent her some ideas and she created a masterpiece. When I saw the cake I was speechless. It was beautiful was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. It was also delicious. Not overly sweet, very moist, and made with love. Pretty much all the guests at the party asked me where we ordered the cake. Big big big thanks. I would highly recommend you order your next dessert from Natalia.”
“I reached out to Avani, the owner of Butter Cheeni, for a milestone birthday cake. I wanted a simple, elegant cake with minimal artificial colors or fondants, at the same time fancy enough for a milestone event. She heard my requirements and came back with a few suggestions not just for the flavor, but also the shape of the cake, the kind of frosting etc. We decided to go with a rectangular 2-layered Dubai chocolate cake. Once we decided on the order, she shared her terms and conditions. On the day of the event, the cake was ready on time, as promised. It was packed very professionally and also had a cake care card with specific instructions on how to store the cake. She also included an elegant cake topper. The cake tasted amazing and everyone loved the look and the taste of the cake. I am glad I went with Avani, who is very professional and prompt in communication. Working with her was seamless and she is hands down one of the best eggless bakers in the South Bay.”
“* A note on ratings, I grade out from three stars *This lounge is very good. They change the food menu between periods and the staff are very professional.During intermission, the lounge feels like a busy equivalent of an airport lounge (in a good way).We enjoyed the roast duck breast and the coffee-rubbed beef tenderloin. The custom cocktails were also appreciated.”
“My favorite place to get Pho in the area :) Very cute and cozy family-owned business. The owners' young daughters work there and seem to be very well-mannered and professional. Won't be visiting any other place for Pho by my house since I found Bon Mua Restaurant!”
“The filet mignon was very tender, and the lobster tail was marinated quite a unique flavor. The prawn cocktail and lobster bisque were also very delicious. The server who served our table was pretty and welcoming, and the food was served quickly. It's perfect for a family dinner or a date.”
“Wow, finally an authentic caribbean restaurant in the south bay. The food is amazing, the owners are delightful, and they give you a great portion of food. On top of that, you really get an island vibe while dining in with the music and the server's authentic love for what they do. Highly recommend ?”
“We got the dinner combo menu with beef ribs, spicy pork, veggie soondubu, and dumplings. It was so good and a great value. The service was really fast, and the waitresses were so sweet and kind. They always asked if we extra sides and made sure we were okay! Definitely would come back and recommend.”

“Best shrimp tacos I’ve had in my life. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and the house-made tortillas were soft and fresh. The place was clean, the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh, and the owner and staff were so friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Went in at 1:15pm on a Sunday and father'a day. No problems parking in free street parking (on other days there's metered parking i believe)
Food was lovely, i ordered a halo-halo and in particular added extra toppings with the pandan mochi which was really delicious.
Service was great numbers were quickly called out when orders werw ready and you can easily see staff work on each order.
Atmosphere was great, excellent for both adults and kids alike withr he colorful offerings. Though note that there is almost no space to eat inside so expect to each outside.”
“Somisomi is such a treat! The taiyaki and soft serve combinations are amazing. I love that you can choose from so many flavors and toppings to make it your own. The taiyaki is always warm and perfectly crispy, and the soft serve is super creamy. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is fun, making it a great spot to enjoy something unique and delicious. Highly recommend for anyone with a sweet tooth!””
“Ordered pork Banh mi on garlic bread. We have wanted to try these for over a year and finally decided to take on the line. I wish I could say it was worth the wait. The best thing about the sandwich is it’s $8. Personally, I’ve had better. Bread wasn’t really garlicky and the veggies lacked that pickled flavor. Vegs tasted like straight up fresh cut. I prefer the pickled flavor.
The meat was very good though. Overall the hype did not meet the irl experience.”
“I really dig the vibe of Chromatic. It's in a big industrial warehouse-type space, and has a lot of space for seating and just enjoying your coffee and food. The space also has some cool merch, nice music, and various coffee table books on offer for you to read while you relax.
The staff were quite friendly, and the coffee and food was delicious. Can't really say I have any complaints. Cool coffee shop with a unique vibe. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the San Jose area!”
“My favorite speakeasy. Great place if you want to get a drink with friends and engage in good conversation and “Speak easy”. ;)
Also there’s the convention parking garage just down the street which is very convenient.”
“My husband & I enjoyed a wonderful dinner there tonight. We used to go to another Chinese restaurant that closed, this one Yummy Kitchen is our go to now, the food was great, generous portions, healthy, not greasy, the garlic sauce for dipping was amazing. If I could give more than five stars I definitely would, the service was outstanding, the owner made you feel very welcomed, a great family owned restaurant. Definitely will be back.”
“Amazing party tray for any special occasions. I ordered a party tray for 150.00 and it was an excellent meal. I would recommend to anyone who wants to order great sushi and roll plate”
“I’ve eaten here twice with a wide sampling of dishes and Devine is absolutely mind blowing. Their mixtures of flavors is truly a beautiful form of art……and I don’t think I’ve ever said that about any restaurant! Goat cheese and caramel? It’s now a go to for our own charcuterie board at home……Herb infused brittle and cheese? I need to have more! It is truly perfection! Last night we enjoyed their four course meal (i highly suggest two people get their own and split, there’s two choices for the salad/soup, main, and dessert, you don’t want to miss out on anything!). Every bite we took had us stop in awe. Devine is a gem! We even loved that the employees/owners come with laughs and personality. It’s a fun and light environment that added so much more to our experience. As the place got busy, our waiters didn’t waver in his attention for anyone! We appreciated that since we’re aware that everyone is still getting up to speed post pandemic, but Devine didn’t miss a beat! 🙌Cannot wait to come back! (Picture was after we had dug in🤣)”
“They have 5-6 of the top pinball machines of all time (medieval madness, Jurassic park, Star Wars etc)
Also street fighter / mortal combat
Gets p ackt at nite but open Sunday afternoons n chill”
“Pleasantly surprised! Great to have an authentic Taiwanese spot nearby, will come again.”
“Goku Sushi is a real gem!! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was attentive. We ordered a variety of rolls, and each one was a delight. The Mango roll was outstanding. The presentation of the food was also beautiful. We'll definitely be back! By the way, we came to the one on Blossom Hill !!”
“Great food and service. Excellent selection of German beers and Schnaps.”
“We saw the ad on fb and browsed through photos on Google maps. We decided to dine there yesterday and the service is very nice, fast turnaround and prices are very reasonable. It’s a gem.”
“Editing this a year later
This spot has become our favorite destination for a relaxing wine night, whether it's a casual evening with friends or a date night. The cozy atmosphere is consistently a hit with everyone we introduce to the place.
What really sets it apart are the owners, Nici and Ty. They are incredibly friendly and offer great recommendations. It was a pleasant surprise that they recognized us months after our first visit and even remembered my girlfriend's preferred wine! We also love their flexible flight concept, which allows you to sample any of the wines available for a single set price.
It's also an excellent choice if you're looking for a laid-back wine bar before heading over to a Sharks game!”
“The entire experience at The Creek Eatery was phenomenal. We held a wedding rehearsal dinner for 65 people and although the seating was unconventional for the event, our party absolutely loved the setting. It was such a fun atmosphere! The food, hospitality, and service were perfect. They were quick to respond with communication throughout the planning process and the day of. I highly recommend this restaurant for a regular meal or special event! Top notch kitchen, servers and bar staff.”
“Excellent food! Highly recommend this restaurant. The waiter was friendly as were all the staff. We will definitely be back!❤️”

“From the moment we stepped into La Catalana, we were transported to an authentic Spanish-Catalan experience. The atmosphere exudes warmth, passion, and attention to detail, making it the perfect place for a memorable evening. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish crafted with care and rich in flavor. The tapas were exquisite, and the hand-selected Spanish-Catalan wines perfectly complemented our meal. Rodrigo, our server, went above and beyond, providing exceptional recommendations and ensuring we had an incredible dining experience. His attentiveness and knowledge truly elevated our visit. A special highlight was meeting Monserrat, the owner, whose kindness and hospitality made us feel at home. Her love for the community and dedication to creating a welcoming space is evident in every aspect of La Catalana. We visited to celebrate friendship and an award received by one of our friends, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place. As community leaders, we wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem to everyone. La Catalana is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience filled with passion, culture, tradition, and heart. We have found a new favorite spot, and more importantly, a new friend in Monserrat and her team.”
“Love the vintage feel of this place. My daughter had asked me to go there several times. Last day of school she got a brunch there and loved it
Kid-friendliness: Very attentive to children and a whole variety of food for them to pick”
“Went to the Breakfast Club 1-13- 24 around 8:00 am, seated quickly and placed our order. They had their doors open for a large delivery ,temp out side was 39-40 degrees and delivery took over thirty min., doors still open and no food. We felt they have no respect for their customers and left. Management is a joke.”
“Amazing experiene 10/10 nigiri was amazing sea bream and katsuo totes recommend! Chef was super nice, we sat at the bar and had a great time! I regret not doing the omakase, had the uni donburi was still amazing tho!”
“Incredible Sinaloan food, which is not easy to find in the US. Great banda music and bar, incredible fresh seafood and Sinaloan specialties - feel like I’m in Culichi town!”
“Good ambience, great food. Loved the family vibe. Feels like eating in a cozy eatery in Osaka.”
“Burma Roots is a lovely addition to the Willow Glen dining scene. The ambiance is warm and inviting — perfect for a relaxed evening out or a casual get-together with friends. The menu offers a wonderful range of vegetarian options, each dish full of fresh flavors and beautifully presented.
The staff are friendly and attentive, and a special shoutout to Luis, the manager, who goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome and cared for. His genuine hospitality adds a personal touch that makes the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy delicious Burmese cuisine in a comfortable, modern setting.”
“Amazing little Vietnamese restaurant that stands out among the sea of Vietnamese cuisine here in San Jose. We had the Conch Salad, grilled razor clams with scallions, tamarind shrimp, and butter blood clams.
All of the dishes were incredible and very fresh, with generous serving sizes and quick delivery. My favorite was the tamarind shrimp but all tasted great. The conch salad was super refreshing on such a warm sunny day, and the shrimp in tamarind sauce were just perfectly tangy and tender.
When I’m home in San Jose, I want good authentic Vietnamese food that you can’t get anywhere else beyond the Bay Area and Vietnam, I don’t want to waste my time with gentrified and overly Americanized food.
Oc Lau Nuong is definitely and firmly going to sit on my food priority list for when I’m visiting home for great seafood at really great prices.”
“We loved this place. 4 of us went on a Saturday night around 6 and got a table without a wait. Food was delicious- especially soup dumplings, pork belly with noodles and sesame balls. Service was quick, ordering was from a QR code with a menu full of tempting pictures. We will definitely be a return customer.”
“Absolutely love this place! We keep coming back and trying new things and everytime it tastes better and better! Our favs is the wakame roll and the poke salad. Next would be caterpillar and toro. Love it sooo much!”
“Really nice place. I went in kind of early so it wasn't too crowded. Staff is on top of it. Had the waygu burger, it was awesome. Had a great old fashioned. Will definitely go back again!”
“Authentic food and friendly customer service. Sarah was so helpful and very friendly made me feel like I was at home. I highly recommend everyone trying this place out if they want to experience authentic middle eastern food!”
“We visited Himalayan Magic Masala in San Jose for the first time with our family visiting from Canada, and we were all blown away! They said it was the best Nepali food they've had so far, and we completely agree. The butter chicken, momos, pani puri, tandoori chicken, and especially the butter naan and lacha paratha were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. We’ll definitely be going back!”
“They have amazing buffet. Halal meat is their speciality. Being vegetarian, I won’t be able to justify the meat options. But Vegetarian options were amazing. They have different spice level they can prepare you food with. The place was quite and clean.”
“The food here is always delicious, fresh and well prepared and our visit this week was no exception. The service is especially terrific - extremely friendly, anticipated our needs and made sure we were comfortable. I've been coming here for so many years and hope to continue. It's always an experience my family and I look forward to.”
“We were trying to eat at another restaurant but unfortunately Tuesday is a rest day for many restaurants
We got the
extra crispy fried egg rolls 4.5/5 stars
Pho with beef ribs 4/5 stars. my son thought broth a bit bland but I told him he eats too salty. I thought it was fine...Then he agreed it was 4 stars
Very disappointing was the pho ap chao 1star/5 (crispy fried pho noodles with beef). The sauce was very bland. The beef was good(not doctored chemically) but the sauce was very unflavorful.”
“This is a great sushi place for your normal daily lunch/dinner, not your fine dine or traditional sushi experience, and it’s perfectly good. I tried the 49ers roll and dinner combo, again food is nothing to write home about but it’s decent. Price is fair, server was attentive but not intrusive (ie checking in too frequently and breaking up convo). I would rate this 3.5 stars if I can but 4 is not far off”
“..finally had a chance to try the new restaurant, wonderful!!”
“We had an event at work and I ended up trying the churros after getting a whiff of the delicious smell and OMG!! They are so delicious!! Freshly made with a crunchy but soft on the inside!”

“love this cute place . tempura veggies crunchy.all fresh , great service.”
“the best pizza in San Jose. lots of toppings that others do not have like fresh baby spinach, artichoke hearts, feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes. and thier crust is great! not greasy and not too thin or thick. the owners/operators are really nice people and delivery always comes early. give them a try!”
“One of the best places to have a big party. The banquet rooms are spacious; you can seat up to 160 guests. I’ve hosted 2 events here already - my parents’ 50th anniversary in 2014 and my 50th birthday this year. Easy process to reserve the space & select menu. Great customer service from all staff.”
“Best Pizza in San Jose! It was tough reading the San Jose Spotlight about the issues on historic building purchases and the lack of transparency during a real estate deal that tanked the Dipsomania, LLC(Parent Company) leading to the demise of the amazing, and wonderful J-Town Pizza Co. The best of the 4 Dipsomania businesses hands down. Your pizza will be missed Jordan.”
“First time after a referral and it did not disappoint! The food was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was clean and modern. The staff were so nice and came by multiple times to check on us. I had the Happy Together roll and a Saba hand roll which were so full of flavor. Will definitely be coming back!”
“One PHO place in the Bay Area. The Pho House Special is so good. Shrimp (jumble) Garlic noodle is the best. The spring rolls are always good. Very fresh and tasty. Modern Restaurant Concepts insides. Perfect place for private party.”
“Sushi are very fresh, and quality, staff are very friendly, only thing is they're not open weekend, and close a bit early 8 pm. I wish they're open on weekend.”
“I had the mushroom ravioli, boyfriend had a margarita pizza and we both had the spinach dip and the bread.. I love the bread so much - it's worth it to me just to go for the bread! My ravioli was a bit too salty, but flavorful, the dip was a bit salty for me but boyfriend liked it and he liked his pizza. We went very early $;15 on a Sunday so it was not busy at all and the service was excellent by waitress Cadence and the other guys helping her. I would not hesitate to return. We also got mixed drinks that were good.”
“Today i came with my friend to Mariscos cista alegre and our server was Mercedes a wonderful lady with such a great personality, fast services and a amazing personality, thank you sooo much for your service Mercedes you made our time super special and everything thanks to your service and obviously for the great food!!! “This is a great place for Thai food! We have been here twice and never disappointed. Has a very good ambience too.
Tom Yum soup was our favorite based on other review recommendation. We even loved the Pad Thai that we ordered. Basil fried rice was on spicier side but we liked the heat, perfect to cool off with the classic Thai ice tea!”

“GREAT garoto coffee...the espresso with foamy milk.. so smooth, not bitter nor too strong. The portuguese cheese and prosciutto sandwich was good but next time will not get it toasted as the cold cheese itself is wonderful! the Pasteis di nata are the best littleegg tarts as I found them to be a bit dry, but then again get another coffee! Owner was so friendly and the place adequate for being an older establishmen.”
“The first time I walked in, absolutely stunning. The decor, the food, all amazing. Their pandan waffles were thick and delicious (thank goodness for the buy three get one free deal), the boba was absolutely delicious, and the place gave a homey and calm atmosphere with wooden accents. 10/10, would go again :)”

“We had a great experience at La Pizza and La Pasta. The food was very tasty. We enjoyed the pastas as well as the pizzas. I had the mushroom pasta, which was delicious. The bruschetta was a little underwhelming, and it felt very dry. The salad dressings were also nice.”

“What a great find on the last day of our trip to California. The space was beautiful, the staff was great and the food was delicious! The chicken was delicious and filling and fresh. The Cioppino was fabulous!!! The garlic bread that came with it was delicious. I had a green salad to start and it too was excellent. Great glass of Zinfandel. And the flourless almond cake with pineapple and vanilla gelato also delicious. They focus on fresh, quality ingredients. Well done!”

“Great place for fusion Mexican Mediterranean cuisine. They have happy hour with some interesting combinations and beer and sangria pitchers. Check out the food pictures. The serving staff are not so efficient but the place is quieter than Aquis with good distance between tables. The servers don't state that but extra humus is $3”
“Tōno is a pretty cool little spot to grab a coffee. Not a huge selection of stuff, but given that it’s kind of a popup situation, that’s to be expected. What they do have is quite nice, however. The latte was delicious, and the PB&J rice crispy treat was quite good as well.
Definitely recommend checking this place out. Do check their IG for hours, though. Google seems to be showing this place as being temporarily closed, but as of writing this, they aren’t.”
“I went to Pho Now recently and had a good experience. I ordered the basic pho, large size, and it was solid—comforting and flavorful. I also tried the grilled short rib rice plate, which was delicious. The restaurant itself is spacious with bright lighting and high ceilings, which made it feel open and welcoming.
One of the fun surprises was the robot that came around to serve water and bean sprouts for the pho — it gave the place a cool, modern vibe. There are big TVs on both sides of the dining area that show videos of food being prepared in different places, including right there in the restaurant, which was fun to watch as we ate.
Service was friendly and smooth. You order at the table and then pay at the counter. They even give out lollipops when you check out, which I thought was a nice touch. Parking is plentiful in the lot, so getting in and out was no problem.
The only thing I’d mention is that it’s a little on the pricey side, but for the quality, atmosphere, and service, I think it’s worth it. Overall, I really liked it here and would give Phi Now 5 stars for this genre of food and dining experience.
August 2025 update:
We liked it so much I came back again a month later. This time we tried the beef rib pho and a vermicelli bowl. The beef rib is a huge chunk of meat! Really tender, really tasty. And the vermicelli bowl was filling and flavorful. Very satisfying meal.”
“I walked to a spot for a quick little treat,
And found me a place that was simple and neat.
The parking was perfect, no chaos, no mess,
The vibe was laid-back — I could not have guessed.
I ordered a burger, just two ninety-nine,
It came out all steamy, and wow — it was fine!
The fries were four ninety-nine, crispy and hot,
With onions and sauce — they delivered a lot!
The burger was simple, no truffle, no fluff,
But juicy and cheesy and savory stuff.
The fries had a crunch and the sauce had a zing,
Together they made my taste buds want to sing!
The tables were wooden, all benchy and bare,
A little bit dusty — some crumbs here and there.
But hey, I’m not picky, and truth be well told,
That’s not why I’m here — I’m not five years old.
The bathrooms were tidy, the service was fast,
This meal hit the spot — it was built to last.
For seven bucks total, I give it a cheer,
The best deal in town, and I’ll sure reappear!”
“I stopped by and met Luis, Maria, Orlando, and Won , they were so warm and welcoming, and you could tell they take real pride in what they serve. The food was absolutely worth it : the Cuban sandwich was perfectly toasted, flavorful, and packed with the right balance of ingredients. On top of that, the conversation made the whole experience even better. It’s not just great food , it’s genuine people and good vibes. Definitely coming back!”
“We ordered bulk order togo for an event at home and the food was delicious. All the guests loved it. The Bengali cuisines are authentic and I would definitely recommend this restaurant! Also the owner was very kind and helpful which made the bulk ordering experience great!”
